I'm interested in some Camel Filters from Croatia, and the price is about $2 per pack cheaper there than it is over here, according to your prices and the HRK/USD exchange rates you listed. I'm in the US though, I know it can be done and has been done, but not 100% sure if it's technically legal or not. You should ask user "only" for any questions related to international cigarette shipments you may have. Let me know if you decide to ship overseas, and good luck boosting your local economy.   Smiley
342  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How much should physical Casascius Bitcoin cost today ? on: May 19, 2015, 02:13:31 PM
For gifting purposes, I prefer a 'dummy' physical Bitcoin, which looks same as the Casascius one, except it does not hold any private keys so basically a collection item:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hot-Gold-Plated-BTC-Physical-Bitcoin-Commemorative-Hobby-Art-Collection-Coin-127-/261865138280

I just gifted one to one of my friends to get him started.
They're way cheaper and gets the job done of making people curious about Bitcoin and get them started.

It's a shame though that the coin you linked to is one of the many thousands of counterfeit Antana Statistic Coins circulating on eBay from China. The real coins are gold-plated and come from Australia, and there were many batches released with a limited amount of coins, each batch commemorating a specific event from Bitcoin history and time period from the network. There are tons and tons of Antana fakes on eBay, all coming from China, and if you see those coins listed from China I would say they are counterfeits 100% of the time. Just one of a few physical Bitcoins that are heavily counterfeited in China; also look out for fake Titan Bitcoins, knock-off Lealana Litecoins, and fake plated Cold Hard Cash Silver Bitcoin Species. If anybody would like more information on how to tell if these coins seen on eBay are legitimate originals or worthless counterfeits, just send me a PM.

However, in your case sgk, for sending to someone who is not a serious collector and/or is new to Bitcoin, it probably doesn't matter to them and still serves the purpose of getting them to think about Bitcoin and learn more about it.
343  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] A few Physical Crypto Coins - All Under 0.15 - Variety of Payment Options on: May 19, 2015, 09:23:59 AM
BTCump, only (1) 2014 CryptoImperator 10,000 Dogecoin, (1) 2014 bhcoins Series 3, and (1) Cryptolator Unchained Series Copper coins are still available, as well as (5) 2013 Lealana Brass coins. (You can also buy the Lealana Brass coins from me via eBay if dirty fiat money is your thing.)
344  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Sold] Casascius Coins on: May 19, 2015, 09:10:25 AM
The market prices are shifting all the time (and rarely down in BTC pricing), as market for each coin finds its feet and settles, and as stashed rolls get opened and provide some new 'liquidity' (like Camolists 2013 coins)

I recall both buying and selling 0.1's for this region. Graded at 64 and 65 as well. I cant recall whether it was .65, and .75, or .75 and .85. Now I couldnt get an ungraded coin at that, and certainly wouldnt sell one

In the end it was a different market, with a different BTC price. It was also a market that had the same number of coins, but less people interested in them. Now we still have the same number of coins, less available (as they are already in collections), and more people wanting coins. Price inevitably will rise, as interest increases.

(It is refreshing to see a lot of new enthusiasts recently ... Its not just me thinking that right ? Most of the old faces are still hanging in there as well !)

Well summarized there, monkeynuts.

About the part I put in bold, I agree it is nice to see the interest in physical crypto coins remain steady and growing despite a declining Bitcoin price, and nice to see new members/Bitcoiners join in on the hobby (addiction)! Though recent sales of coins may be going a bit slower than before, there is also a much larger variety and total amount of new & second-market coins available nowadays than a couple years ago. I was slightly saddened to see fellow physical crypto coin enthusiasts selling off their collections recently (masterp, cyclops, miffman) as I thought they might be quitting the hobby altogether, only to see that they are still buying coins and refining their collections! I find it quite fun and have always collected coins a bit, love buying/selling/trading them, and hopefully my core collection goes down to my kids someday or gets sold for their college education  Smiley.

Off-Topic but Related: For a little while now I have thought about posting in the Meta section about the possibility of getting a sub-section of the "Goods" board created solely dedicated to the buying/selling/trading of physical cryptos and new releases, discussions, etc. If I wrote up that suggestion sometime, would any of you guys be down to pop in that thread and try to drum up some support behind it? If you are like me and frequently check the "Goods" section on here to scope out new coin threads & sales, I think it could be awesome.
345  Economy / Securities / Re: NASTYFANS iOS APP VERSION 2.0 IS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD! on: May 19, 2015, 07:48:48 AM
Just saw your post and figured out how to edit the "Today View" screen to include the NastyFans widget! Pretty sweet being able to see the current Bitcoin and Seat Price instantly with just one swipe. The Bitcoin price showed fine but the Seat Price displayed a tiny line of code. Still, great job on that and I love the couple core Bitcoin apps I have on my phone. Do you do the coding for the IOS app yourself? Just wondering, I have considered looking into writing code for apps for a while but don't know where I would even start as far as learning materials, guides, etc.

Yes, I'm aware of the line of code bug.  The script I am using to convert the text into an image displays correctly only sometimes for some currently unknown reason.  I hope to have some help with a more elegant solution in the future.

I do the coding for the app myself.  I had help with the original build, and have had help along the way from several individuals.  For example, most of the data is provided by nonnakip through the feeds you can find on http://dev.nastyfans.org.  There is also data being pulled from websites like blockchain.info, blockexplorer.com, bitcoinwisdom.com, as well as 3rd party scripts which have been provided by naypalm & arsenische.

I would say if you were interested in learning to write code, the place to start would be downloading xcode and doing a few google searches on iOS App guides.  Here's a good one involving Bitcoin and the Today View: http://www.raywenderlich.com/83809/ios-8-today-extension-tutorial

Awesome, thanks for the solid response man. I will say I think the NastyFans IOS app looks pretty professional, and all of the available data that is pulled is flawless- the more stats available the better, IMO (shout-out to naypalm & nonnakip for the sweet NastyFans site as well). Not having ads in the app is commendable as well, though I will say I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a few non-intrusive ads for related Bitcoin sites paid for by fellow NastyFans or just other Bitcoiners. Possibly if that ever happened then that could also be another small source of revenue to be distributed among the NastyFans. Also, I think if it would be possible to have login data auto-filled for the NastyFans & BitcoinTalk areas of the app that would be cool as well, but I could see reasons not to for security concerns in case of a stolen/compromised phone. These are all just small suggestions and my opinion, and I wouldn't post them if I didn't think this was a very open group who is willing to listen to constructive criticism.
346  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Sold] Casascius Coins on: May 19, 2015, 07:24:58 AM
Comparing your purchase of a Casascius Tenth @ 0.71 BTC with a $595 Bitcoin price for $425 USD total, you paid approximately $64 more for yours than Blazed's current price (1.55 BTC with a $233 Bitcoin price = approx. $361 USD). So I think his price was definitely fair from a BTC/USD standpoint at least, especially considering yours was a raw coin and his is graded MS-66 (again a higher grade for the type, and there are costs added for grading). But as is true with all collectible coins/numismatic coins, the best market price is whatever a buyer is willing to pay. There will only ever be so many of those 2013 0.10 BTC silver Casascius coins in existence, never more, so I see no reason an individual would be willing to come off of one for cheap, especially since they have a history of appreciating in value over time (albeit a short history).

This is just my opinion though obviously, and I do enjoy a good discussion as well.
347  Economy / Securities / Re: NASTYFANS iOS APP VERSION 2.0 IS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD! on: May 18, 2015, 10:30:48 PM
NastyFans v2.0 is now live in Apple's App Store!
  • Added Today View Widget
  • Updated Color Scheme
  • Added Link to NastyPoP Rates

The Today View Widget adds the ability to see the Bitcoin price as well as the NastyFans seat price right in your iOS device's Today View!   There are still some bugs to work out, but it functions properly *most* of the time.  Enjoy!

Awesome. I Finally did a photo dump from my phone to my computer a couple days ago and then deleted almost 3,000 pictures. The memory has been full forever so I finally updated my IOS and updated apps like NastyFans & others since I could.

348  Economy / Goods / Re: $20 ituneas gift card for $12 bitcoin. physicl w receipt take $15 pp too on: May 18, 2015, 09:48:07 PM
I will buy the $20 iTunes card for $12 BTC if you'll send me the physical card (with receipt) first. After receiving it I will verify the value and that the redemption code is not revealed/compromised and then I will send you the funds. If you want to do that just shoot me a PM. You could probably fold the card up in a couple pieces of paper and send it in an envelope for just a 33 cent postage stamp (or whatever a stamp is nowadays).

I'll Gladly send pictures but what am I using a stamp for? I don't want to wait until you receive it in the mail to get My coins

The stamp would be to send the physical card. But that's fine, I will have to pass on it though if you can't send first. You have no trade history on here and gift cards are just too risky for me to mess with otherwise. Thanks though

350  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Sold] Casascius Coins on: May 18, 2015, 08:25:30 PM
Personally, I think 1.55 BTC for an MS-66 graded Silver Casascius Tenth is a great price. Low mintage numbers, a .999 Ag Cas. round, and a pretty high grade for the type are all factored in. At that price I would almost guarantee (even if Bitcoin were to crash & burn) that the buyer will profit whenever he sells it on at any point in the future. These coins are famous, trailblazing, rare, & highly popular...  it is a seller's market. If you don't like the price, just move on because they will either sell at that price or not, and they did here as you can see.

Blazed knows the Casascius market pretty damn well; if you want to see unnecessarily high premiums go find the 25 BTC Casascius coin listed for 75 BTC on here...   Lol, I feel like his only hope is a random Chinese millionaire coming across that sale thread, but that's neither here nor there and I wish him luck with his sale.

@Possum577- Congrats on your purchase of a silver Casascius Tenth for 0.71 BTC. I agree with QuickSeller that is probably a record low price on the second market and that seller pretty much screwed himself for that price...
351  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: CONTEST: How many Bitcoin Penny™ coins are in the jar? on: May 18, 2015, 08:05:35 PM
Dang, I was 20 coins off with my guess of 368. Oh well, thanks for putting the contest on CJBianco, and congratulations to ratep for winning!

I already have a set of Bitcoin Pennies myself, they are very cool and nicely made for a very decent price. I recommend them to all BitcoinTalkers!

Ha, I'm just fuckin' with ya smoothie man. I know you have the best interests of the community in mind when you say that.

Look what I got in the mail today.  May possibly be the one of the only Cryptonic Bitcoin out there.

Looks beautiful.

Damn, that looks amazing! Have to get one eventually. Do they have a way of holding or connecting to a private key somehow, or just a beautiful physical coin? Great shot by the way bithalo.

Anyways, I snapped a few pictures of the coins the other day and finally got around to uploading them. Here they are, great coins, I really like them! And they are some pretty thick boys too, hefty.

359  Other / Archival / Re: . on: May 09, 2015, 05:50:07 PM
Yeah, fuck VAT taxes, I always feel sorry for you EU guys...  just another way the gov. can strong-arm you for some more of your money. That is definitely a nice thing about living in the US, no VAT, which I am grateful for. I agree with bithalo though regular packages will literally just sit at customs and other locations for days-weeks, for seemingly no reason. Ha, one time bhcoins sent me some coins from Argentina and they made it to the US, cleared through customs (after a week), then got sent to a Post Office near my state, Then got shipped Back to Argentina (wtf), then when it reached Argentina at the Post Office they were like (Lol wtf?) and returned it. Finally got it weeks and weeks after I bought them but it wasn't bhcoins' fault.

Anyways, I've said this before but I'll say it again- there really needs to be a "Bitcoin" of the international shipping world. A much cheaper and more efficient solution.
