561  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: December 30, 2014, 07:38:18 PM
Hey Marco, I'd like to reapply if possible for next month's campaign. I never changed the signature, and I joined very late in the month, and asked if I could roll what posts I made into the next month's count. You said that was fine, but I wasn't able to get on Bitcointalk much and only made a whopping 6 posts in a few days! I will hit 50+ this month though.

Post Count (including this one): 702

Thanks
562  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Kialara Physical Bitcoins/HAVEN: Update on: December 30, 2014, 07:22:02 PM
Wow, the 2015 Kialara is amazing! You bring such unique works of art to the physical Bitcoin market, and come at it from a completely different angle than all others. I still need to get the 2014 model, I'm really falling behind now!

My question is for these, say worst comes to worst and someone wants to open the wallet that is attached to these coins, how do they do it? It seems like these are impossible to open entirely. I think these are beautiful but lets all remember the actual functionality too. Can someone explain how someone could go about opening it without completely destroying it?

I would say if you plan on pulling the 0.10 BTC from it in the future, then to not fund the coin in the first place. I don't think these are really designed to be "opened" down the road. Just like I wouldn't open a Casascius coin though basically, because the unopened coin will always be worth more. If I had a funded Kialara coin that I wanted to spend the Bitcoin from, I think I would just sell/trade the funded coin for a higher value than 0.10 BTC, rather than just destroying it to get the 0.10. Just my opinion though, and I've been pretty sick the past few days so I feel a bit off & like I'm rambling.  Undecided
563  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Ravenbit NODE .999 Silver Edition - Only 25 minted! on: December 30, 2014, 03:06:27 AM
No problem man, I'll hopefully be getting ahold of you to buy one of the 25 before they're gone. Super Limited strikes are always great for value appreciation.
564  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Physical - CryptoVault - Cold Storage Coins on: December 30, 2014, 03:03:10 AM
^ I would imagine all of the contributing backers get their funds back if it doesn't reach 100% fully funded.

These are some good guys with an innovative product that I think will really inspire the future crypto coin industry. I've been trying to think of ways to help your project succeed in the past few days. I looked into a lot of different fire/heat-proof papers; I don't know how many different types & kinds you've looked at and tried, but I would think finding more affordable element-proof paper & labels might be the key to reaching your funding.

Also, if the StartJoin doesn't make it, I would really suggest one of the bigger name crowd funding sites like KickStarter. I personally had never heard of SJ and I imagine that's the same for most, and KickStarter has a huge following. Also maybe make a "shoot-out" video testing the coins ability to protect private keys- I.e: Run one over with a car, torch one for minutes, soak one, drop one off a building, etc. Then maybe after each damage test, peel back the label to test/import the private key. Might really get the safe & endurable qualities etched into consumers' minds.

Good Luck guys!

Oh wow, I love me some pure silver Bitcoins! And I'm sure it is a nice, smooth strike like all prior RavenBit coins I've had. Have to find a way to get ahold of one of these, Christmas wiped me out! I have a few different crypto coins I could trade for one, it's a long shot but PM me if interested.
566  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin Coin on: December 23, 2014, 09:59:10 PM
Ah, I've been waiting for this since I happened to stumble across your new blog post a month or so ago- it looks great though! Really cool that they let you design the coin toss coin- it's only fitting to have the original maker of physical Bitcoins make the coin for the first bowl game sponsored by Bitcoin (BitPay)!       (I also gotta give props to BitPay for letting them call it the "Bitcoin Bowl" instead of the BitPay Bowl. Getting the word out about Bitcoin benefits BitPay just as much if not more in the long run!)

Unfortunately the Christmas season has me maxed out on funds- hopefully there will be one or 2 left in another week or so! Will check back ASAP!
567  Economy / Collectibles / Re: "Meta" - 11" Physical Bitcoin on: December 20, 2014, 11:22:04 PM
Damn! Stunningly beautiful work as always man- it seems like each piece I see is better than the last. Even better since you've said BitcoinTalk is the only way to get ahold of you without referral by a previous client.

Free trade with WoodCollector using Bitcoin = priceless (MasterCard knockoff  Wink )

I'd like to join this campaign if possible Marco, I will go ahead and add the signature and check the Google Document/this thread for confirmation later. I have a question though- I saw where you said the first payment will probably be on January 2nd. Since I'd be joining a bit late in the month, if I don't have the 50 minimum posts by January 2nd, is there anyway I could get paid then for the posts I've made or roll it over to add onto the next month's? I will really try to get 50 posts in before January 2nd, but just covering the possibility of being short beforehand.

Thanks,
snarlpill

I will take the Bitcoin Exchange of New Orleans 1 Bitcoin token, and 1 or 2 of the 10,000 BTC Pizza Silver rounds if you would do them seperate from the whole lot in group 1. Can pay now, shoot me a PM with a total and payment address if you would.

Thanks
571  Economy / Goods / Re: Google Cardboard with FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING! Cheap Virtual Reality! on: December 20, 2014, 03:11:58 PM
Wow, this is my first time seeing these and hearing the words 'Google Cardboard.' Seems pretty cool though, and I'm definitely interested for the price. Will have to look into what games/apps I'd be able to use it with. I have a regular iphone 5 if you know of any off of the top of your head, don't know how the hell I'd plug a PlayStation controller into my phone though unless there's some sort of adapter I'm unaware of.
572  Economy / Goods / Re: $4-$7 Pizza! Dominos ONLY. Large & Medium! on: December 20, 2014, 03:50:54 AM
Okay, think I'm going to order 1 medium 2 topping and 1 large 2 topping tomorrow afternoon/evening.

So will you call in my order to my local Dominos with your coupon code, give them my delivery address and pay yourself? And I pay you in BTC? Or how will this work?

And will you let me send the BTC to you once I receive the pizzas? Believe me, I won't screw you over if you do your part. Apologies if I've completely misunderstood this.

573  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius coin selection eBay has gone to shit! on: December 20, 2014, 02:26:10 AM
I've seen some decent Casascius coins on eBay here and there, but yeah it's definitely not throbbing right now.

When you spoke of copycat coins I know you were mainly just talking about follower companies in the physical Bitcoin scene, but eBay is Ripe with counterfeit physical Bitcoins. The main ones I have seen repeatedly for a good while now: Titan BTC, Lealana Litecoins, the Silver Bitcoin Specie, and, somewhat strangely I feel: Antana Bitcoin Statistic coins. Loads of those for $1 or 2 Location: China. Buyer Beware, but if you really know what you are buying they are easy to spot. I would say overall though it hurts the resale value for the real coins, say- a real Titan 1 coin. No average person (light/beginner BTC enthusiast) thinks of buying the same coin they see all over eBay but for $500 more.
574  Economy / Goods / Re: $4-$7 Pizza! Dominos ONLY. Large & Medium! on: December 19, 2014, 11:12:42 PM
I might try this out soon as well! We love pizza! Posted for memory, maybe tomorrow night.  Smiley

I have a friend who's the GM of a Dominos, he makes bank and always hooks me the hell up with anything we want. Only problem is- he's in the city about 45 minutes (driving) from us.  Tongue
My ol' lady loves pizzas with pineapple and bacon and I've come to dig them as well, I recommend it if you've never had pineapple on pizza.
575  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTS: WTS: Casascius physical bitcoins (bronze, silver 1BTC) on: December 19, 2014, 11:02:19 PM
Nice coins and good luck with your sale, but you should take the pictures with your username and the date written on a small piece of paper, proving ownership. You should also accept escrow for the buyer's protection, there are many trusted escrow providers on here.
576  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Holiday BTC gift ideas on: December 18, 2014, 12:56:28 AM
I am giving 6 Cryptolator Unchained Series copper physical Bitcoins to close family members for Christmas. I am going to fund them, and type up a brief history of Casascius and physical Bitcoins, the meaning behind the coin design and security features (hologram), as well as explaining how the coin actually holds BTC and how to spend it if they so ever choose. I got a great deal on 10 of them in an auction and am really excited that I'll finally be able to give them their first BTC in the form of a beautiful coin with a symbolic design. Also going to fund 1 each for my 4 year old daughter, and baby boy on the way due in April! Will be holding onto those 2 for safe keeping for a few years, but it would be nice if 0.10 BTC was worth a college education in 14 years!  Wink

Here are some pictures of the Cryptolator coin for those unfamiliar:
-snip-

Nice coin there!  How does one go about trying to buy these Cryptolator coins?  Seems like the website is down.

ChuckBuck,
I also noticed their website is down until 2015. If you want to buy one, I have 1 extra I would sell to you for 0.075 BTC Priority 2 Day shipped (To the US- if international we could figure something out). According to my Blockchain app, that is currently around $24, which is cheaper than buying it off of their website with shipping. I will also include the COA and the presentation box, which also cost extra on their official site when up. The coin is in Like New condition and comes in an airtight coin capsule. I don't know if you own any physical Bitcoins or not- but one of these would be a great start to a collection and probably get you hooked. Smiley  Cryptolator did a great job on these and the copper color looks amazing with the gold colored hologram. The coins contain a private key direct from the maker and this one will come unfunded- and can be funded anytime.

For those wanting to know the full meaning behind the design on the "Unchained" Series, here it is in:
"Cool "Unchained" series design where the artist depicts breaking free from the "chains that bind us" to the banks. in front of the bank, there is a Pig and a Dog and the people running from the bank are considered as the sheep that are freeing themselves (This is a reference to the Pink Floyd album, Animals). The second thing is the crying eye at the top of the bank front, this is the illuminati eye that is now closed and crying... the sad "pig" bankers who have lost from the liberating peer to peer money system that is bitcoin. "

Also I am in no hurry to sell this- I was going to hold onto it or trade for other physical Bitcoins, but I will sell it to ChuckBuck if he wants it. Since I've already typed all of this out though- if ChuckBuck says he doesn't want it, I will still sell it first come first served. He gets first Dibs though because he asked about purchasing first. If you read this ChuckBuck, send me a PM if interested or post a "No" letting others know it is still available. I can ship it tomorrow if you pay tonight.

I got mine today! It looks just as good as I had expected and even more so. What a beautiful coin in stunning pure silver. Can't wait to get some private keys sized & placed so I can put it together. The coin is a great size also, not too big and not too small.

Thanks again to the SW team for running this campaign- the reward was so much cooler than getting a little bit of BTC like every other sig. campaign. I'm only sorry to hear that it did not have a significant effect on sales.
