Has anybody tried withdraws on this site so far and can claim they process smoothly?

Another bearded chode pulls a scam. Well, you probably shouldn't trust a guy who has a Pokemon Rom hack listed as his crowning achievement on linkedin. Definitely made me laugh. Checked it for myself but it's either down or I just can't see it because I don't have a LinkedIn account. Hmm... somebody else should check. If it was just taken down then he might be watching this thread...

The Wall Street Journal is one of the most trusted, unbiased sources of business and world news. Cool to see them use Coindesk as a source too, if I ran CD I'd be proud.
Exchanges are still running in China, and people will continue to use them. Money can be handed from one person to the other on the street, and Bitcoin can be sent from seller to buyer. Do not discount the Chinese market. They are a huge piece of the puzzle, and Bitcoin is Huge to them due to their lesser amount of freedoms and more tyranny/restrictions they face than us. They Need BTC right now, or a similar idea based off of the trailblazer.
Chinese and Russian economies are Huge, perhaps they are in secret developments of their own alternative cryptocurrencies. Maybe this is why they push Bitcoin away, who knows?

I wasn't able to read through the whole thread at the moment, but is there really a problem with double-spends and the BTC network? I've never had any occur, or seen any myself.

I have no idea but if I had to guess a bank it would be Bank of America. B of A seems willing to move large amounts of money to and from BTC no problem. This is just based off of what I have seen, I'm sure Somebody will pop in with a B of A horror story...

I would be very weary about using SR2.0, or any of the many others out there. I just know how easy it would be to rob someone on there/get scammed....

Just signed up after checking out your site. I like it a lot, and it looks much more refined than previous BTC scratch tickets I have seen. Provably Fair is always a requirement too.

Thanks in advance for the credit.

The creator of Litecoin Coblee works for Coinbase and he has hinted that when the time is right Coinbase will support Litecoin. My guess is sometime in 2014.
I think that if and when that happens- websites, vendors, and physical stores will start accepting Litecoin as payment at a much higher rate. Better buy now maybe huh?

To move their money out of the country, to leave their BTC on Huobi or w/e and make in-person street sales, and probably simply because they trust their own country's exchanges. I kind of feel like many Chinese would feel weary about sending their BTC to outside/Western exchanges after watching Mt. Gox.

Wow, that's hitting under $246 a BTC... On a random (?) date, May 20th? I would be really interested to see what kind of info. and thought went into that prediction, if it's not all bullshit. Hmm... On a side note though, it looks like it will spike back up for my birthday (5/27)

The market has decided , Litecoin is number 2 and once litecoin goes on Coinbase even more money will pour into it and less into other crap coins.
I would love to be able to buy and sell LTC on Coinbase. Is this a reality and if so, when?

I would love to buy some Litecoins to just hold, as a savings fund. I've had a few but had to sell them in short positions. I've heard LTC compared to as silver to BTC's gold, and I like that idea.
But as for people waiting for it to shoot up in price, I actually kind of like Litecoin at a $10-15 dollar value. Litecoin is established and legitimate in this fly-by-night world of cryptocurrencies, and it has more potential as an everyday spending coin in my opinion. A faster network than Bitcoin, and a $10-25 dollar LTC value would work well in the world's economy.

For anybody that got scammed when Crypto Rush got hacked, if you need a new, safe crypto exchange, try Cryptsy if you haven't already. Over 170 markets, free user-to-user transfers, points for activity, currency converter, + more features. But mainly like I said, it is trusted. And it is registered in the U.S. which means they will not just take the money and run. https://www.cryptsy.com/users/register?refid=232173

Simply put, there must be more people selling and cashing out of BTC then there are new people buying in, at this moment.

Like the video. Saw Dark Wallet on the DN the other day, I'm all for it. I support everything that enables/helps anonymity. Will be following this thread to see when all the kinks get worked out.

Airdrop of 31 Millions BCC on May 17th. Another 31 Milllions BCC mined with POW up to last Sunday... hummm. Current price 50 sat/BCC. Total "probable" market cap today: 15 BTC - most likely lot less since there is only 0.7 BTC buy orders on Poloniex. Forecast value of each BCC on May 17th... 1 sat/BCC.
I see BCC as a cute tipping (but worthless) token, for BitcoinTalk users, nothing more - still, a mark of appreciation, without any financial value, but with a lot of "I like what you write, please accept this little token! - I mean it, really!"
Why everything has to be about money?
I think 1 Satoshi value per BCC on the 17th sounds a little low. It's possible maybe, sure, but it depends on a lot. If you, me, and our fellow users of this forum hold an idea of long-term value in our holdings of this coin, then we will Hold them and not rush to dump them. Why sell now for a quick little bit of BTC? Why not hold out for future value, especially since our coins (from the airdrop) are free to us. On the other hand though, I do like what you said about BCC as a tipping coin for us on the forum. Where we can tip it to each other for good posts or help received. Something that could be public maybe like a rep system, but that we could hold or cash out anytime for BTC. What's everybody think? If you're interested, don't dump for crumbs now.

I think that is a great idea. My parents are in their 50s but pretty intelligent and I always tell them about big and latest BTC news when I see them. This would be an awesome present idea but I just don't have very much BTC or fiat right now...
For the people saying give her Bitcoin And a gift, how about one of the physical cryptos? Search in the goods section of the marketplace here. One off the top of my head is "Cryptolator."

I think this is great news and publicity for Bitcoin. As mentioned, these are students attending one of the most prestigious universities for technology in the U.S. Some might be dumped, sure. But for the most part I would say the majority of these kids are not hurting for money, and they will see far greater potential for their small BTC holdings than just a hundred quick bucks. All of them will probably learn the protocol of it, and I could Definitely see some new programs, websites, apps, and companies being started from this event. I would be interested to see how many of them are already BTC users/holders.
