201  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Good quality metal detector on: July 13, 2015, 03:57:58 PM
Good luck with your search! I have half-considered buying a metal detector for a while now, but don't really have the extra money or time, I suppose.
It would tie-in greatly with my interest in old world coins/silver/gold, and I think it would be a really fun hobby. Interested to see if you get any offers on here.
202  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Lealana Silver and Brass LTC and BTC coins on: July 10, 2015, 03:26:48 AM
I bought one of QuickSeller's Lealana 5 LTC coins and the transaction was very simple & easy. I'm pretty stoked to finally have a nice 5 LTC now all I need is the 25 LTC coin! He had a pretty decent price listed as well.

QuickSeller pointed out the current Litecoin price to me as well and I was pleasantly surprised to see its recent price increase. I hadn't really been following any alt prices at all; currently only holding a little BTC and a little Monero.
203  Other / Meta / Re: Subforum request - "Physical Bitcoins / Collecting" subforum on: July 04, 2015, 06:55:23 PM
Haven't really thought about it much, and not sure it's needed, but a more general PM (precious metals) board would make more sense, and would likely gain more support. Lot of overlap there.

I'm not sure I like the Precious Metals idea as much as Physical Cryptos / Coins. Sure, most coins are made of precious metals, but many aren't, including the latest Genesis Coin. I'd hate to exclude that one. It's fun.

Regards,
Me

To second that, not all cryptos are coins...they can be bars, cards, paper wallets, etc.. made of various materials

I second this thought as well, though I would be happy to see a PM forum, I would be happier to see a physical crypto section. I have a wallet made from wood by the people who made WoodWallets and I consider that to be a physical crypto item.
204  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 1oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seat on: July 04, 2015, 04:51:33 AM
Thanks for the kind words.  My intentions for this auction were to allow the opportunity for someone to pick up one of these coins at a discount, as well as positively promoting the coins in a new section of the forum where they might get some added exposure.  Overcharging someone wouldn't help me achieve either of those goals.  Smiley

Sounds good. I agree that many more people would probably be interested in NastyFans if they were aware of it. I thought about throwing in one of my NastyFans (digital) seats for free the next time I sell some coins on here or Reddit as an extra bonus if somebody bought a few or something, just to get more people exposed to it. That's one of the reasons I was asking about a seat # voucher that you could sell/trade, and then a non-NastyFans member or existing member could input the voucher on the site and receive your NastyFans seat. I asked during May's monthly Nasty chat I think it was, and I believe nonnakip said he could already do this for me. I'm no majority seat-holder or anything crazy, I just think it is a cool organization to be a part of.

/Sorry for the off-topic
205  Economy / Collectibles / Re: The (Official) RAVENBIT COLORS coin trading thread on: July 03, 2015, 05:31:28 PM
To anybody in the EU/worldwide looking to add one to their collection, there are a few people on here selling singles already, so try them first. But if you don't have any luck with that I would have no problem selling a couple singles at basically cost price, and I can get 'em sent out with basic tracked shipping for pretty cheap.

These would probably just be some nice examples of RavenBit's latest coin with gray address type; I don't really have any of the more rare colors to part with at this time. I was a bit sad for you guys to see the EU Group Buy not get filled in time (but still I was happy to see mrbrt have great success with his latest Series).
206  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Highest Graded Casascius Coins [MS-69] -More Coins Added! on: July 03, 2015, 12:08:55 PM
D-d-d-d-daaaaammmmmnnnnnn, an MS69 Cas coin! Shocked

You need to hook me up with that girl at ANACS you've been bangin' Blazed!  Cheesy

LOL, just playing...   A very fine coin indeed though! And it looks great (from what my imagination shows me  Wink)!

I feel like you wouldn't want to get rid of this coin though, unless perhaps it is not the only MS69 you were fortunate enough to get back? Sitting on any others in your personal stack? It's only speculation for now, will be very interesting to see an ANACS population report for all the physical Bitcoin "tokens" that have been graded, if and when it is ever released. Could very well shake up the market when it does!
207  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER ALERT] FAKE Bittrex-Richie || 360 CLAMs stolen || Just-Dice.com on: July 03, 2015, 11:52:26 AM
That is kind of dooglus to help you out with this, I only wish for your sake that you had contacted dooglus in the first place to escrow your trade between you and the scammer (he probably would have).

Either way, that sucks and I'm sorry to hear that. Best of luck catching the scamming bastard.

To anyone reading this- Please (for your sake) use escrow for large trades or at the very least break the amounts up to multiple lower-value trades. It takes under 1 minute to send a crypto transaction usually, so it should be no problem for a legitimate trader to trade the total amount in several smaller trades. If they object to this, that may be a warning sign.
208  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 1oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seat on: July 03, 2015, 11:43:09 AM
0.45

Just a heads up...  With this bid International buyers can now get the coin cheaper through regular channels.

That is a very kind thing of you to post OgNasty. I personally know what these sell for new via NastyFans.org, and I have been watching curiously to see if it would be bid up past that amount on here, which would probably be due to the fact that people weren't aware of where to purchase one regularly and how much it goes for.

You could have easily let this one be bid up to higher amounts, and then posted that information after it ended and was paid for, so I respect that.
209  Other / Meta / Re: Is the proper abbreviation for the forum 'BTT' or 'BCT'? on: July 02, 2015, 04:31:52 PM
I call it the forums or bitcointalk...never thought any of the abbreviations looked right.

Same here. If I'm in some super hurry to post something I'll slightly abbreviate it to BTCtalk, but that's about as far as I go.
210  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ===►Maidak scammed me 400$ BTC,this time is for sure===► on: July 01, 2015, 03:49:41 PM
Sounds like you Blazed or your mutual friend might be the key to putting the squeeze on Maidak for some real answers, or to find out if he is really just buying time.

People in the Bitcoin community have been identified and still gotten away with much larger thefts before. There have been many examples but I'm mainly referring to dice sites DiceBitco.in and Dice.ninja. The combined thefts of those 2 sites were multiple millions of USD if I remember correctly.
211  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Bitcoin User Not Affected Meme Contest! on: July 01, 2015, 09:13:31 AM
Ha, I think this is a fun thread! There have been some real gems posted in here. Kudos to OP for the idea and inspiring a lot of Bitcoin memes to be created. I finally decided to make my very first meme just for this thread, I hope you enjoy it!  Cheesy
Technically I did use "Bitcoin Miners" instead of "Bitcoin Users," but oh well.

If you enjoy it, feel free to send a kindhearted tip to: 1KpCvPvePxhE6RyUm82NAnRReXZ4CUL8xL

212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WSJ like bitcoin on: July 01, 2015, 06:48:07 AM
This is great to see, and indeed- in times of worldwide financial uncertainty with the current fiat systems in place is when Bitcoin truly shines and outperforms. On a side note, the Wall Street Journal has always been my favorite newspaper to read; so much good content on a wide variety of topics.

Also, I hope all of the prepper-types who stack silver and gold to preserve their wealth against declining Dollar values see this headline and realize they should also have some Bitcoin holdings to fully diversify and protect their wealth. If every silver and gold stacker out there bought 1 Bitcoin to add to their "stack," then there would be a sure-fire increase in Bitcoin price.

Edit for disclosure: I did not read this article
213  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS?] - ANACS MS 67 Silver Casascius Tenth with Exception on: July 01, 2015, 03:27:39 AM
I chimed in with my 2 cents towards the cause in your thread as well. I just don't see a reason for them (theymos, mods) not to do it honestly...

If they added a physical crypto subforum in the Goods section I truly think most people wouldn't even notice, unless they were already interested/involved in the physical crypto community on here.
214  Other / Meta / Re: Subforum request - "Physical Bitcoins / Collecting" subforum on: July 01, 2015, 03:21:54 AM

I totally agree with TheAnalogKid and everyone else, physical Bitcoin sales (Casascius and many others) make up a huge sum of money and are without a doubt the greatest percentage of items sold in the Goods section. And I think pretty much everyone here can agree that BitcoinTalk is the greatest place to find what the general consensus is regarding price and many other factors with the Casascius market, which is a pretty big market now and should continue to grow higher in the future; in my opinion probably regardless of what Bitcoin does. I could def. picture a 1000 BTC 1 oz. Gold Casascius coin being auctioned off at Sotheby's or similar in the future.  Cool  That would be sweet.

I'll copy/paste part of my post that I made in OgNasty's thread just to have it here, and this seems to be a more targeted thread than Og's which was working towards a few different points (though good points):

Definitely agree about the physical crypto "economy" having it's own sub-section from Goods. There are a great many of us that check the Goods section all the time mainly just for the physical crypto content (new coin sales, discussions, etc.). The same reasoning I said above for Services applies: the majority of Goods 'For Sale' threads are physical crypto related and this could potentially make it harder for other types of vendors or purchasers to market their goods for BTC.

I think if physical crypto products (coins, notes, etc.) had their own Goods sub-category, we could do quite nicely with something like:
-Announcements/News/Market Discussion
-Goods
-Auctions

I think the discussion one would definitely be a good idea; there are no specific areas of the forum for us physical crypto nuts to talk coins (besides 'Off Topic'), and as a result we often end up discussing in sales threads, which in turn continuously keeps those threads on the front page which further obscures other Goods for sale.

215  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS?] - ANACS MS 67 Silver Casascius Tenth with Exception on: July 01, 2015, 01:59:35 AM
We've tried that before. Og posted a thread in the Meta section and many of us coin nuts chimed in, but the mods said something to the effect of there wasn't enough demand to justify it...   Sad

Perhaps the Meta thread could get a nice bumping though.  Smiley  I definitely agree a whole side section for physical BTC and other coins would be great.
216  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 1oz .999 Silver NastyFans Minted Seat on: June 30, 2015, 10:29:15 PM
Nice, I definitely have to follow this auction, this coin has been on my "wish list" for a while now!

@Blazedout419- I'm very surprised there is a physical Bitcoin you do not own! TheAnalogKid recently got some of his 1 oz. NastyFans Minted Seats back from ANACS and they both graded at MS69! He posted some sweet pictures that you can see here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826527.msg11699864#msg11699864
217  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I got scammed 31.2k in BTC recently on: June 30, 2015, 07:00:54 PM
I have no idea if this is true or not, and there's a good chance it's not (because OP can't produce a transaction id). But the main take-away from this, in my opinion, is that if you are conducting trades of this magnitude and size, to Always break up the large amount into many smaller trades, one by one.

Also, while it would be greatly helpful for OP to post a txid, and this would back up his claim, I can understand why he maybe wouldn't want to post the transaction here. Trading in Bitcoin with amounts this large would most likely put you on the radar of many governments and agencies. Perhaps OP is worried that he could be tracked, and identified, if he posted the transaction. Possibly he (or she) lives in a anti-Bitcoin country. While I think it is good to always view claims like this with skepticism unless proof is provided, I think it is also important to keep ^ this in mind.
218  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Amagi Metals AWOL on: June 30, 2015, 05:01:42 PM
I hate to say this about Amagi, but I have seen this same complaint or similar about them dozens of times in the past couple months on precious metals forums & discussion sites. I have a brief overview of precious metals dealers that accept Bitcoin on my site, and I have placed a warning under Amagi's section, basically telling people to not order from Amagi until they get their shit together again. I hate to see them do this and completely ruin their business's reputation, especially because I believe they are some good people at the core. But for now, if you're wanting to buy precious metals with your Bitcoin, please buy from Provident Metals or ShinyBars.
219  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ===►Maidak scammed me 400$ BTC,this time is for sure===► on: June 29, 2015, 04:01:07 PM
^ Agreed. I think his personal info. should def. be posted publicly in this thread now. That way anyone else he has scammed will come across it when they Google search "Maidak scam."

I will say he's got a lot of balls (or stupidity) scamming so much when so many people know all of his personal information.
220  Economy / Auctions / Re: ANACS graded PF-62 DCAM - 2003 1/2 oz Silver Norfed Liberty Dollar w/ Extras! on: June 27, 2015, 07:12:50 PM
This auction has now ended and Lesbian Cow is the winner with a bid of 0.22 BTC! Will be sending you a PM shortly.
