1081  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Project Development] CoinWorker.com - earn bitcoin in your browser in minutes on: May 31, 2014, 07:33:40 AM
Are there still tasks that are being paid for? How much can you make per day or per week? I remember the tasks available / BTC per task really took a hit at some point, and I hadn't been back since.

Yes there are still tasks being paid for, actually a much greater variety and amount. It looks like they are fully partnered with CrowdFlower now and thus have a constant flow of tasks available. Currently I have 126 points on there which equals 0.00201 BTC. .00201 Divided By 126 equals 1595 Satoshi (or .00001595 BTC) per point. You auto. withdraw after hitting 180+ points plus. Which, currently at 1595 Satoshis per point = 0.00287142 BTC minimum per cashout. And as I recall, you can usually hit 180+ points in one day if you spend long enough and pick the right paying tasks. So, that means that your potential daily payout from Coinworker is 0.00287142 BTC.

Definitely one of the most slept on earn BTC sites. I have always had withdraws within the hour after hitting 180 points. Now they even have a level system where you can qualify for higher paying tasks based off of previous performance. Anyways, hope this helped, and this site is legitimate. That is one of the main reasons I am featuring it on my site.

@WargeGeoshington -

I love your site, it was one of the first sites that I went to that I could earn BTC, and it was always a legitimate experience. However, some of the "tasks" that I have seen more and more lately seem increasingly personal-privacy violating. I.e.- "Identify if a business exists at this address." Many of which are people's homes (or so you would think). But I can't tell if dude owns a business from home or not, many of them you very well could. And I just feel like tasks like that and one I just saw a few minutes ago when I checked the site: "Upload 500 text messages in English from your Android phone" for 100 points. It claims nobody keeps or stores any data about the who, what, when, where, why, and how of your personal text messages, but who knows? I wonder who we (the end user) are snooping around for, and who gets access to the final results of these tasks?

Maybe I'm getting out there...
But anyways man, on a side note, I now have a site of my own, and I am going to promote CoinWorker as one of the most legitimate BTC pay-for-task sites on my page about how to get free Bitcoin and earning some. I am going to do mostly text, but I was wondering if you'd want to throw together a nice 468x60 Banner to include as well. If not I could design a quick one, with your permisson. But I just have a thought in my head for a design of the page. My site's only been up for 4-5 days now, but has already received visitors from over 131 countries. PM me if you are interested, I am not looking for money but to just help the BTC community prosper if I can.
1083  Other / Off-topic / Re: Web Hosting Questions on: May 31, 2014, 03:17:37 AM
Is there any webhosting that accepts bitcoin?

You could start your search for an answer with this thread and the user ServSafe. I know he's been trying to sell domain names for BTC at least.

Godaddy sucks, they are not good for hosting and for domains. Their control panel is very primitive. You will have a hard time doing backup or importing database they don't use cpanel. Your website will be very slow. Try hosterbox they also accept bitcoin.

That couldn't be further from the truth from everything I've seen/experienced so far...  I'm using cPanel with Linux for my domain, they have a Massive amount of free applications, including one for making a simple machines forum on my site. Sound familiar? Look up to the top of this page. (Not saying this forum is hot shit or anything, lol).
I can have several MySQL accounts and up to 50 or 100 databases total, I believe. But just the total amount of free programs/apps available, with options beyond belief is more than I had hoped for. Pages load Fast, I'm pretty sure I have unlimited bandwidth for my site too.

And I'm definitely not pumping GoDaddy or anything like that. But from my first experience with web hosting they definitely have my growing site covered.

If its just a single page or 2-3 pages you could try a free host.I know they are bad but you could give them a try and experience the whole hosting stuff and see how it goes.

Thanks for the advice, although I have gotten it taken care of. Free hosting on the other hand...
I don't know. From everything I've seen and heard, the free cost just isn't worth the hassle. Not having 100% control over my site, all of the hidden embedded ads and links they try to hide, slow loading times- just doesn't seem worth it to me when you can get the whole shebang for fairly cheap anyways.
1084  Other / Off-topic / Re: Web Hosting Questions on: May 30, 2014, 08:55:38 PM
I wouldn't recommend a VPS for starting out unless you need fast scalability. If you're not going for an extremely rapid growth rate, stay with shared hosting. It will save you the need for panel licenses and setting everything up yourself.

Yeah, a VPS is definitely something I will be looking into in the near future, but as for now I'm glad I didn't, because everything was confusing enough as it was with what I had to set-up, having had no prior experience.

Host gator has cheap hosting. Less than 5 dollars per month.

If your page can't generate 5+ dollars per month, then consider another line of work.

I ended up going with GoDaddy. They might not have the best rates out there, but I had access to a great variety of promo codes. With one of these codes I was able to get my domain, private registration, and web hosting for a year for under $20. If anyone reading this is interested in these promo codes, PM me. I would be happy to share.

Now are you asking about how to monetize your website?

I've been learning a bit about monetizing a little bit each day at a time. I've been working on it, and already struck up 2 banner deals so far. Nothing crazy though. I'm waiting for approval on one of the big name advertising programs. If you have some free advice/suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them.

Love your coins, and all physical BTC I've seen so far really. I would love to have a personal collection of them all someday when my funds allow it. I'm currently working on a section on my site discussing offline/physical wallets and I will definitely try to remember to mention Cryptolator.

Great ! Thanks ! Smiley

Page mentioning Cryptolator in the safety section on my site up here. My site is mostly unfinished and the pages that are written are getting constantly updated by myself whenever I can find the time. Feel free to visit my Bitcoin faucet here if you would like to support my site.
Thanks,

Lol, you gave me a link to the other topic I had started for help. I did end up getting everything (for the most part) figured out, and learning more and more along the way. Thanks for your help in both threads.
1087  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on Crypto_Planet's Faucet! Over 19K impressions in 2 days! on: May 29, 2014, 08:23:10 PM
Update:

User: Eirecoin and I have set-up an arrangement for his banner ad to be placed on my faucet for 2.5 days/60 hours! Currently my faucet page has had visits from over 131 countries in just 3 days! If you are interested in this kind of worldwide exposure for your site/referral link/business, please contact me and I will do my best to work with you on a deal that will best suit you. I will even design a nice looking banner/alternative-sized ad for you if you don't have one.
1088  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on Crypto_Planet's Faucet! Over 19K impressions in 2 days! on: May 29, 2014, 02:51:44 PM
^ CCU, If you are interested in doing the adbit.co advertisements, I only have the minimum bid set for 0.005 BTC a day. So if you were the only bidder, you'd have your ad up all day on my site. However, if you're wanting to work out something outside of adbit.co, or different sizes, I'd be more than happy to work with you.

Thanks,
snarlpill
1089  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on Crypto_Planet's Faucet! Over 19K impressions in 2 days! on: May 29, 2014, 04:49:14 AM
Bump. Awstats from my web host is showing me that I've had 30,844 hits to my Faucet page in the past 2-3 days. Let me know if you want this kind of daily-growing exposure for your business or referral link. I will happily be very flexible in working with you on an advertising plan that is right for you.

Update:

I have posted in the verified list of free Bitcoin thread for my site to be listed, which will further multiply traffic, see list here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=74046.0

At this time of writing I have now received over 21,392 visitors to my site and had 14,970 people get free BTC from my faucet in just a little over 2 days! I have seen in my transactions where up to 7 people have gotten Bitcoin from me in ONE minute! And growing every minute! This would be great exposure to your company!

If you have a company/website/or referral link/banner, let me know what we could work out for your site to be seen by tens of thousands of people-hundreds of thousands of people. I would gladly work out a 2-3+ day deal to have your banner or site listed for low prices.

I will also have my site's url in my signature space starting June 1st so further people can see it.

Thanks,
snarlpill & cryptoplanet.co

**Also if you have a personal site/business/referral link, and would like to do a 468x60 (or 728x90, or any other sizes) banner deal, but don't have a banner ready or designed, I would gladly work with you on designing a custom banner just for you. I have made several myself that have gotten good responses when advertised on other sites. Examples available for potential advertisers.**

My site is cryptoplanet.co ,but my faucet is located at: http://www.cryptoplanet.co/BTCfaucet.php  ,so that would be the page you link directly. I currently give out 200 Satoshi every 1.5 hours, paying via Microwallet. I am going to constantly stay on top of my balance. My site has been up for only about 2 days, and I've already had to refill it twice! I've given out 0.029373 BTC and counting!

Bitcointalk members- Feel free to use my site and get free BTC! It is legitimate and you WILL get paid via Microwallet.org. No scam sites Ever coming from my way, Guaranteed! 1093  Economy / Service Announcements / [ANN] Advertise on Crypto_Planet's Faucet! 19k+ impressions in first 2 days! on: May 28, 2014, 05:59:01 PM
Hey guys, I am the owner of cryptoplanet.co and I am looking for some advertisers for my faucet page. Page here: ( http://www.cryptoplanet.co/BTCfaucet.php ) My faucet page has been really up for about 2 days and so far has received 19,346 (at time of posting) impressions from worldwide visitors, although the majority were English speaking. I have slots set-up for advertising on Adbit.co here and here: http://adbit.co/?a=Advertise&b=View_Bid&c=Y7OKSARVOS7VC   ;    http://adbit.co/?a=Advertise&b=View_Bid&c=TVF2FGWINEPL7
If you check those, the impressions are less, as I didn't get them up until later after I had gotten my page out there. I can prove my 19k+ impressions with a screenshot via PM for anyone wanting proof. Someone goes to my page and gets 200 Satoshi from me multiple times a minute most times when I check. So far  out of the 19,465* impressions, 13,570* people have got BTC draws from me. This would be great exposure to your company/referral link. I am willing to work out deals where I could leave your ad up for multiple days. I am also willing to change ad places, and/or remove conflicting information while your ad is running. You will have great flexibility from me if getting involved early.

My site is listed in the 4th slot on Microwallet's/Land of Bitcoin's Microwallet faucet list, which thousands of people shuffle through hourly/daily! They are draining me, lol! I will continue to get my faucet listed on more sites, but I need some ads to help me afford the cost of the site before I expand exponentially again!

Why am I doing this? As I've said, I do have slots set-up with adbit.co and am working on moving my way to the top of the list, but this will take a few more days. At the moment, I have given away 0.027641 BTC in 3 days just from 200 Satoshi draws every 90 minutes! I need to keep refilling it due to constant growing traffic, but I need some more BTC! I had to buy some more yesterday to fill it. Coinbase makes me wait 4 days because I don't have a Visa card to verify, although I've already verified my bank account. So I bought some BTC from an exchange where I can get an "instant buy" although it sets off the fr.aud department from my bank. They called me yesterday for the second time, I can't keep setting off those alerts!

The rest of my site is still in progress, though should be finished fully in the next 48 hours. There will be traffic to these pages as well as room for more adspaces. Please let me know in the thread if you are interested, and we can work out fine details via PM if you want.
P.S.- I have already had 16!* referrals sign up for 2 of my pages listed on the side of my faucet page.

Thanks,
snarlpill,
cryptoplanet.co

1095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin ATM in Amsterdam on: May 25, 2014, 05:14:39 PM
as mentioned in the OP and many times during this thread, the machine is one way only, you can buy btc with your euro, not sell btc for euro.

Can you imagine if it was two ways. People would be stood at the machine all day trading away, using it as their own personal exchange. Imagine the disputes between people in the queue!

I really don't see that happening, as the maker of the ATM probably has it set to sell its BTC to customers at slightly higher than average market prices, and buying BTC from customers at slightly lower than average market prices. So the profit margin is probably absorbed by the ATM makers or whoever runs it.

As far as the coffee shop that it is next to, you really need to find a way to offer at least a temporary discount to customers paying in BTC. You (skorek) might need to absorb these costs, maybe for a month or two. But there needs to be some kind of incentive for these people to buy BTC so that they can buy coffee cheaper. Otherwise -yes BTC is cool- but "why wouldn't I just walk in with cash and buy coffee with cash?" is what these customers might think/say.

Props to you though! I hope your venture is very successful, and every other maker of BTC ATMs. Mass adoption, baby.
1096  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Italy to add drug trafficking, prostitution to GDP figures on: May 25, 2014, 03:50:35 PM
Wow that's pretty wild. It looks like they had to do the math to get those figures anyway, as required by the EU? It said it would add up to 2% to their country's GDP. I guess that IS still money going into the country, lol, just maybe not going to the Italian government (or maybe a cut is  Wink). Interesting either way...

And it is a legitimate question to ask in this day and age where it is so easy to manipulate online communication and have multiple accounts.

1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BTCtalkcoin [TALK] Airdrop Details - Starts May 17 on: May 25, 2014, 04:08:05 AM
I did get 9620 coins, in two transactions, I haven't worked out how much I should have got but I got something...

I'm not sure anybody knows how much we "should" get...
Yes there may be a math problem you can do where you take x% of pre-mine divided by X members to give you some sort of "TALK" amount received, but I don't think anyone should be expecting a certain number of coins. Airdrop plans seemed semi-strained from the start, now with the transition from old dev to new dev(s?), I think we will be lucky to receive any amount of free TALK coin.

With that being said, however, it IS free. So any free coins is better than 0 free coins.
Oh, and every single person that receives it, why dump it immediately? Why don't some of you hang on to it, possibly see some sort of steady price increase, instead of selling for cheap right now and crashing the price slowly?
