341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 23, 2021, 01:38:37 PM
Pacquiao said that he experience leg cramps starting on round 2. Not one but both of his legs are cramping according to him, might be due to overtraining, or because he is really not that young anymore.

I've posted my bet on Manny to win by UD, but I think he lost because he doesn't have anymore. So it's a concern if he still wants another fight, might be better to retire before he become a damage goods.

No one expected Manny to lose against Ugas, so it was shocking. But at the same time, we should not judge his entire career based on the result from just one match. Ugas has already said that Manny is a legend and he would offer him a rematch. Let's hope that the rematch actually happens and Manny manages to win that one. Apart from that, I am of the opinion that Pacquiao deserve a farewell match, and that should be against an opponent like Spence. He is a legend and we can't allow him to be remembered for his loss against Ugas.
I agree. Pacman is already old and has a long list of accomplishments, therefore we can't expect him to take this competition seriously because he has already proven himself as a legend. I'm not sure why some people are upset, but if you look at the situation, it's all about the money now; Pacman will still make a lot of money even if he loses, and in boxing, there's nothing to show.

IMO, Pacman will still remain a legend even if he loses many times, he's also a businessman right now and he prioritizes other things right now such as senate(I'm not sure about this) and other sports.

These YouTube videos may also be of assistance to you; take a look at this, it's about gambling addiction;

Not a podcast, but a nearly identical interview, could aid in the recovery of someone who is addicted to gambling. Listening to other people's experiences and stories regarding gambling addiction is, in my opinion, one of the finest methods to recover or learn about gambling addiction. As a result of their experiences, you may come to realize something that will change the way you think about gambling.

343  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Earnings from Axie Infinity and other NFT games are subject to tax, DOF said. on: August 23, 2021, 09:00:03 AM

Imagine that axie players doesn't have any health care benefits and such, tapos sisingilan ng tax.

Roll Eyes

So di ako nangangamba, halos ang dami kong NFT games na nilalaro ngayon at alam kong imposible 'tong naiisip nila, if posible, may flaws pa din.

344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: August 22, 2021, 11:57:19 PM
That is why, in terms of transaction fees, many individuals prefer BNB smart chain to ETH. The fees for ETH transactions are extremely expensive and unreasonably high, which is why the majority of NFTs are currently on the Binance smart Chain. Only AXIE infinitey is in the ETH because this NFT game started a long time ago, while the other NFT games are in the Binance Smart Chain, as you can see in many popular NFT games.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports Betting Or Gambling ? on: August 22, 2021, 06:45:58 PM
There are people who play gambling only while there are others who prefer betting only.
Do you think both of these type of people have different mindset and one of them is willing to take more risk than than others ?

Also do think that gambling is for the entertainment and earning money too but people do betting only to earn money and there is no element of fun involved in it.
People are free to choose whatever they like the most, if they prefer sport betting as they like the idea of adding even more fun to the sport they prefer then they can do so, and if they prefer to concentrate in games that are exclusive to the casinos then they can do the same, personally I like both and I just pick the one I feel like at the moment, and about making money with gambling we know it is possible but only a minority can do it so do not concentrate too much on that topic.
Yes, we all have different tastes, and if people like betting and are content with it, there's nothing we can do about it because it's their personal pleasure. Sports betting is also a form of gambling, so I'm not sure what the big distinction is. Both are forms of amusement that come with risks, as winnings in sports betting aren't assured because anything may happen in sports. And, moreover, you're rooting for your favorite team, which is why you're betting on them, so it indicates you're still having fun with it.
346  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Instant BTC,ETH & LTC withdraws | $100k+/week contest | VIP | on: August 22, 2021, 06:17:30 PM
If we have luck someday, we can win much money like them but always remember not to use too big money to gamble if you are not okay getting big losses.
Don't gamble beyond your financial capacity. We must have limits on the use of money to gamble so that the problems caused by addiction and defeat will not affect many other things including finance. That advice should get the attention of all gamblers if they really want to gamble without problems in the long term. There is no reason for gambling site to be responsible for the large losses of gamblers, but it is the gambler who must be responsible for his wins and losses and his gambling addiction.
It's very important to control your financial capacity because if not, a huge consequence which is loss of money will become the result especially if you get addicted to gambling. Sometimes even if you advise them multiple times, it will be ignored because some can't already control their emotions in gambling. Being responsible is the key of not losing a lot of money in this kind of activity.
347  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is the biggest investment opportunity in the future on: August 22, 2021, 05:18:07 PM
Bitcoin is now the biggest opportunity in society. Bitcoin has existed for more than ten years, and it has driven the development of blockchain digital currency. Due to the high price volatility and other characteristics of cryptocurrency, there is a lot of room for speculation. Now more people are researching and investing in cryptocurrency, and the accepted scope of cryptocurrency is also expanding, and it can be traded and circulated all over the world.
Cryptocurrency is the development trend of today and in the future, and the biggest investment opportunity will be cryptocurrency in the future.
Yes, cryptocurrency is the greatest potential for me, and it has already aided me in a variety of ways and provided me with the things I desire. I see bitcoin as a way to become financially solid in the future, which is why I'm taking advantage of this opportunity to profit. I imagine myself already to be stable and don't have problems with money if my assets in crypto have pumped.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 22, 2021, 03:42:39 PM
NFT and play to earn are considered gambling they are in the market and because they are in the market they are considered investment and investment in Cryptocurrency is considered gambling, that is why we have this saying only invest what you can afford to lose, I invested in 3 NFT and waiting for their development I know it's gambling and I take the risk just like I do when playing in a gambling site.
I also invested in an NFT game called MIST, which is an MMORPG game, and I believe it will be successful soon because it is a popular game type. It's also an investment, and I'd like to risk a tiny portion of my funds on it because it's still in development and has the potential to grow in the future. I'm hoping that this game will provide me with a quick return on investment, allowing me to reap the benefits of being an early investor in an NFT game.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: busd or USDT safe on: August 22, 2021, 03:09:31 PM
Quote
But there is a few differences: BUSD is regulated and audited. They ensure that every BUSD is backed 1:1 by a physical dollar stored in FDIC-insured US banks. USDT is not audited and has had security breaches and lawsuits in the past.

USDT is usually utilized in multiple networks, whereas BUSD is mostly used in BEP20, therefore if you're simply trading on Binance, BUSD should be enough. If you're using USDT to purchase a certain altcoin on a different network, it'll work.

USDT has had a lot of troubles in the past, thus there's a danger if you want to hodl it in case the market changes and you're ready to buy. BUSD is safer than USDT especially when you're having a transaction in binance smart chain and I bet that it's the best since most of us are now using Binance exchange, and a lot of NFT games are in Binance Smart Chain.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Can We Expect Gambling on Axie Infinity? on: August 22, 2021, 02:57:18 PM
Yes, eSports are related to gambling because they are one of the categories in which we can wager in fiat or cryptocurrency, but keep in mind that not all eSports are featured in gambling platforms. As you can see, those well-known esports tournaments get a lot of attention on streaming and gaming platforms.

The majority of them are taken seriously, and the clubs have managers who oversee how their players represent the corporation. I'm familiar with a number of games that have a large number of players but aren't marketed on any gaming platforms and aren't featured in any gambling platforms.

Of course, if a game is popular, devs will add a betting category for it; however, platforms will not list it rapidly just because it has a large player base. But let's see whether it's possible; everything I've mentioned so far is just my view, as I'm a gamer, and the hot games I'm playing right now with a strong tournament system and a large player population, aren't yet featured on any prominent crypto gambling site.
351  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: August 22, 2021, 02:32:29 PM
To be honest, I never searched for slap tournaments, but sometimes videos about this slap tournament appear in random videos that I saw on one of the existing social media. Previously I used to get videos of this slap tournament only between men against men, but recently I got the slap tournament is women against women. In my view, there is no sport or entertainment element in this slap tournament, I am afraid that if this continues, the men's champions may be able to fight the women's champions, if that happens it is certainly very scary and maybe even more dangerous.
IMO, Because of the disparity in strength and stamina, I doubt that the women's division will be able to compete with the men's division. It's similar to how other sports tournaments have divisions based on the strength of each individual. Also, women will not agree or have terms of women vs men league because they know its unfair because women are built for this kind of activity and it requires a lot of workouts to endure these sports.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't give your bitcoins to scammers on: August 22, 2021, 09:07:26 AM
Why would you participate in a giveaway? I mean, if you already have a large number of bitcoins, why do you want more in giveaways? And engaging in such an activity without first conducting research to see whether they will actually give away free bitcoins at this time when the value of BTC is extremely high. I don't get it?

Sorry for the language, but I think it's idiotic to transfer bitcoins to someone you don't know and have no way of knowing if they'll give bitcoins.
353  Other / Meta / Re: Do You Believe a New Forum Software Will Attract More Users to Bitcointalk? on: August 22, 2021, 08:45:01 AM
In my end I don't think many will be attracted unless the old forum will be unusable just like the old one, I guess that's the idea but it can't be possible when there's a lot to be fixed. If Both will still be running expect this to be a ghost town just like what I saw on Yobit Forums even though they had a campaign. JM2C
It can take a lot of time and money to migrate to a new forum or forum software. Although it seems possible, but if users are given the option to stick with the old forum then I'm pretty sure bitcointalk.org will still have a large user base. Although we have to get used to accepting something new, but bitcointalk.org is still the biggest one for me. Sometime change is hard to accept at first, but we really have to get it when we need it.
Even if there is a new software used to create a new forum, I will prefer the old forum because the interface on this forum right now is really classic, and I truly appreciate how the inputs and selections were featured here. And, moreover, this is a forum, and the discussions are the most important thing to me here, and there's nothing wrong with the present forum. Users who are serious about learning about crypto, whether old or new, will come to bitcointalk.
354  Economy / Economics / Re: Die today, Die tommorrow, the same dying! still get vaccinated! on: August 22, 2021, 04:03:24 AM
Are you willing to be vaccinated?
Sure, why not? Why would I be hesitant to get vaccinated since the majority of people are already doing so and we can't actually predict when we'll die? I mean, if vaccination can help you live longer in this world, then get it because most individuals, especially those on the frontlines who administer vaccines to us, are also vaccinated. Achieving all of your goals and being happy and contented does not imply that you need or have embraced death, because the reason you're here is to find a reason and appreciate the life you've been given.

Different variants of COVID 19 exist, and current variants such as delta and lambda are more deadly than the usual variant, so if you've survived COVID-19, I think surviving these new variants would be difficult, so good luck!  Wink
355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saving Vs Staking on: August 22, 2021, 03:24:31 AM
Staking, in my opinion, is preferable than saving, especially when you're staking an asset that will appreciate in value over time. Staking will increase your assets, and by the time you take profit, they will have grown in value due to the project's progress.

But, of course, it's not as simple as staking; you'll need to research and study whether it'll be profitable in the long term because you'll need a potential asset to invest in.
356  Other / Meta / Re: Scam campaigns should not be allowed to stay on: August 22, 2021, 03:03:58 AM
Most cryptocurrency projects are simply just so shady that it would be so difficult to judge which ones are scams and which ones are not. The only way to prevent scams with high effectiveness is for Theymos to ask the campaigns to do extensive KYC, which I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to do simply because it goes against the cryptocurrency ethos.

Indeed.  This is why most campaigns put funds into escrow or select campaign managers that are held accountable for the promised payouts.  In the end, nothing will protect the end user like some education on why they should not trust, but verify claims made by managers before getting involved in projects.  Since this forum doesn't moderate scams, the best way to know if something is legitimate is by seeing how long it has operated without any major issues or non-transparent activity.
Yes, users should join signature campaigns run by well-known campaign managers like Hhampuz and yahoo62278, as the rewards are almost certainly guaranteed. But that's not to suggest there aren't risks; there are always risks with newly developed projects, and that's when we should DYOR, or do your own research. Always have time to research about the project and, as you've mentioned, how long it's been in operation and how legitimate the roadmap is, you'll need to go back and review those to evaluate if it's a good project.

The real issue with campaigns is that many people join them without doing any research on the project and end up getting scammed. We can't really avoid scam projects on the road; it's like scam projects on social media; we can't identify if it's a scam or not on the spot since, of course, they're making a good job scamming people, when we discover that it is a scam, it will be too late.
357  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bilyonaryo dahil kay BTC on: August 20, 2021, 06:43:29 PM
Yung mga ganitong cases kasi na kayang mag hold ng matagalan is may pera naman sila in the first place.

Yup, no reason to sell kasi kaya pa umahon gamit ang sariling pera o salary kaya talagang mapapahold ka ng ilang years. Kaya ko rin nasabing ganon kasi gusto ko rin talaga maghold ng BTC minsan pero may times na kailangan mag cash out, need to take profit din kahit paminsan minsan kasi may unexpected na mga pangangailangan sa buhay. If we can hold until BTC become a hundred thousand, talagang ang sarap sa buhay non kaso sana talaga lahat tayo ay katulad ng nasa sitwasyon niya na sobrang tatag maghold hanggang sa maging bilyonaryo siya.
358  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Magdagdag ng bagong coins si Coins.PH!!! on: August 20, 2021, 06:32:44 PM
Sana naman ang idagdag nila dito is SLP or AXS which is sobrang common na gamitin ng mga tao ngayon dahil karamihan ng AXIE users ay nandito sa PH and madaming breeders at scholars dito. I think sobrang laking tulong if ever man na SLP or AXS ang idadagdag nila, lalo na't may mga managers na SLP ang binibigay nila sa mga scholars nila na payment and mas madali if isesend via coins.ph lalo na't marami ngayong scholars na hindi pa masyadong maalam sa exchange, it will be difficult for them to sell it. Imagine if SLP or AXS ang dinagdag nila, mas madaming gagamit ng users nila, I guess this NFT game is long-term naman and it's guaranteed that ithe devs will maintain since recently nagkaroon ng halving sa pve rewards. Pero I think kelangan din ng masuring pagaaral about dito bago nila ilagay so if baka may mauna pang ibang altcoins bago ang SLP like DOGE and BNB.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 16, 2021, 10:35:46 PM

Do you think youtube will also do the same?

Twitch is still not a popular place for regular users of internet and this action I think is for them to protect their users because the scams promoted in their platform will affect the growth of users. This perhaps makes it neccesary to do for the marketing of Twitch. Right now they don't want to be associated with scams.
Every platforms doesnt really like to be associated with scams and they would really be  making appropriate actions with that which i could consider to be a normal act to be done by a company.
They would be needing to restrict into something which they do saw that could really affect their overall reputation or popularity. If some Twitch users could see this to be a disadvantage then
they could always have the option to find another  place to do so because Twitch isnt the only place you do such thing but expect that there would be some restrictive  rules and regulations
on other platforms as well.
It's hard now to maintain or find some reputable players on any gambling platform. They want this platform to have a lot of accomplishments and a good reputation so that players can use it. Having gambling advertising has a significant impact on them because they do not want any reports of scam activities, thus they have deleted them to prevent future difficulties. Same goes with the other platforms, they will remove it if there's a lot of reports and activities about it.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will physical casinos accept crypto someday? on: August 16, 2021, 09:18:15 PM
If and only if the country have already accepted cryptocurrency as a normal payment method and most of the establishments are now accepting crypto. I think that's the best possible situation where even a physical casino will now accept crypto to bet. But I guess it'll take a lot of time before it happens since some are people are still into fiat and crypto are being used as an investment asset only.
