TY, Gooz. BTW, sorry to hear about Guzman. I wonder if he had any dealings on SR.

You can take it with all the grains in the silo, but the following was bellowed recently in IRC:

*> SarahCoinBit: kapuutt: There is no solvency

archminer: SarahCoinBit: what is your information source? Did Mark tell you there was no insolvency?

SarahCoinBit: Algernon; Wilbur; Charlotte

ade72: SarahCoinBit: Are you able to give Mark feed from us? Or is there no feed for him because he is not interested in getting fatter?

SarahCoinBit: ade72: Mark is always interested in getting fed

adam3us: couple of questions: did mtgox lose any client bitcoins during the period when they were affected by the malleability related issue?

SarahCoinBit: adam3us: I can't answer that sorry, I can say your coins (maybe not your specific coins) are safe

ade72: SarahCoinBit: Why can you say our coins are safe. Source?

SarahCoinBit: ade72: I work for Mt.Gox*

3424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mainstream media is gonna kill Bitcoin next 24 hrs on: February 25, 2014, 06:07:57 AM
Yep, it will be brutal.

With a lot of 'told you so's'. Can you imagine Schiff, Weisenthal, Krugman et al. They will have a field day.

And this will be very damaging for near term adoption.

But Bitcoin itself is fine so batten down the hatches and ride it out.

Not to mention SA and that one bald-headed dude (with his guitar behind him) on YouTube.
3425  Economy / Speculation / Re: Copy of the alleged MTGox Crisis draft strategy on: February 25, 2014, 05:54:51 AM
Very disturbing document, freaky as fuck. Be careful before reading if u cant stomach this

I was suppose to stomach it? Hell, I jacked off all over it. Now, somebody push my face into it and make me swallow.

BTW, I've been holding back something on BitcoinBuilder, something of which is important, and I'm not a very happy camper about it. Not happy at all.
3426  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins Keep getting lower... on: February 25, 2014, 05:32:46 AM
All I did in the past three hours was watch Enemy of the State on YouTube (first full movie I've watched in months) and took an hour long shit. What the fuck is happening?

Nope! That's all Virisilicon correspondences, not GF.
3428  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: February 25, 2014, 04:35:45 AM
Guys, let's get serious... there is a > 90% probability in my opinion that we will see additional delays. These guys are not pros like the KNC/OrSoc team and the chance of them being able to get everything right on the first try is quite small. Not zero mind you, they might get lucky... Sorry to be such a downer here but if you honestly believe they will deliver on April 30/May 1st you're likely to suffer another disappointment.

The good news is that by that time we've all probably moved on to the acceptance phase so this will not come as a shock anymore... two months will work wonders, you'll see!  Grin

Probably right. Bitmine (who also used VS/GF to manufacture chips) took 4 months from tapeout to shipping. I would guess that blackarrow has more experience producing hardware/asics so its possible they ship in ~3 months.

This is Black Arrow's first foray in producing ASICs, and their first partnership with Virisilicon. And, it is a partnership and not simply contracting Virisilicon to bring the Minion to fruition. Big difference.

That said, who's penning the email to Global Foundries to verify that they are in fact now starting the wafer process for Black Arrow/Virisilicon? GF should have no problem with sending a reply to verify, for just like Virisilicon's reply(s), what'll be asked in no way would construe a breach of any NDA.

Goozman? You did so well last time, care to do it again?

lots of replies from users who have traded with them for so long yet this is their first post.....interesting

I think I will give it a miss, until I at least know about the directors background (which doesn't look like is going to happen any day soon), I sincerely think its the same people as OKPAY/Nikolay Rozhok/Mayzus Financial Services Ltd et. al

The problem is it looks like they are setting themselves up to do a runner, and the day I let myself get ripped off by russian mafia will never come which is certainly what the whole setup looks like. A fool and his money soon parts....

Too many bad reports, thousands in fact on this forum, unbelievable that they haven't been asked to show who they are. Watch the Troll Box on their website, every five or ten minutes someone's complaining about no replies to tickets and missing BTC/USD etc...

Just received this email a few moments ago, it's related to CSC24Seven

Quote
Cyprus bailout effect

Dear Customer,

As you have probably already learned from the news, the Cypriot government is planning to introduce a one-time tax on all customer accounts held with Cypriot financial institution. In order to secure the collection of this tax, many customers have had funds blocked against their accounts held in Cyprus-based banking institutions.

UWC Financial Services Ltd issued a statement confirming that Cyprus bailout will have no effect on the funds held in our customers accounts, as these funds are kept outside Cyprus. For our UWCFS Quick Cards it is regrettable that customers that are holders of the CSC24Seven issued cards will have probably noticed that an unrecognised transaction has been issued on their cards over the weekend 16th-17th March 2013.

CSC24Seven the card issuing bank has originated these transactions under instruction from the government of Cyprus to ensure the collection of this tax from all account holders. While it is still unclear whether the tax will affect all accounts or just savings accounts, bank accounts or specific other types of accounts remains to be confirmed but until the final decision (expected Tuesday 19th March 2013) is announced, the funds blocked on UWCFS Quick Cards are under the control and disposal of the card issuing bank (CSC24Seven).

CSC24Seven has assured UWC Financial Services Ltd, if in the event that e-money (pre-paid card) accounts are granted exclusion from the bailout scheme, the blocked funds will be reversed back to pre-pard card accounts.

UWC Financial Services Ltd are in continued communication with CSC24Seven and we are continually monitoring the situation and endeavour to keep our customers updated on any further development.

You can find more information on the situation in Cyprus in our daily market reviews from Mayzus Investment Company Ltd http://www.mayzus.com/en/market-reviews/marketreview-3444.html

Kind regards,
Nikolay Rozhok
CEO
UWC Financial Services Ltd

First linode stole from us, and then we boycotted linode.

Then dwolla stole from us, and we boycotted dwolla.

Now Cyprus steals from us, and so we shall boycott Cyprus.

Or maybe we just don't give a shit.

In Russia this would be "Do not piss against the wind."

Did I get it right. OKpay or whomever got their bank account raided and they have passed it onto their customers? This cannot be lawful. Their "taxes" is their responsibility, not their customers. The accounts in Cyprus banks are not in the names of the cardholders, are they? Will they next pass on corporation tax as "an unrecognized transaction" tomorrow?

Yes well, obviously they'll play it both ways if they can.

3437  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E.COM Is it a scam and who are they? on: February 24, 2014, 08:01:24 PM
Hello
As a total newbie to Bitcoin and wanting a piece of the pie I find myself inexplicably drawn to the relatively "cheap" prices on this exchange when compared to other exchanges. But I don't want to send off my savings to persons unknown where I have read so much bad press about payments going missing, selective scamming, and unknown people behind this operation! I am sure others would like to know who they are. Surely its in the best interests of the Bitcoin community to put some faith behind this organisation as they appear to be a main player...so any speculation on who they are? The website is hidden in who.is and they use some Russian organisation registered in the UK thats providing them with wire transfer services, Mr Nikolay Rozhok of Mayzus Financial Services Ltd. Maybe Mr Rozhok and BTC-E.COM are the same..anybody have any ideas?

When Phinnaeus Gage enters a treads and highlights in pink, shit is about to hit the fan.
