3541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance’s IEOs keep Dumping, but why? on: December 26, 2019, 03:46:37 AM
The simple reason may be because the IEO tokens have been hyped up to their actual value from the moment they were listed. IEOs are still largely at the idea stage, with no actual product applied to increase token value, their price reduction is obvious.
Most of IEO are largely overvalued. Some of them also simply recycling the old idea and bringing it up for IEO in order to gather money from the masses. There's actually no distinct difference to ICO in term of result than just being seen as a more legitimate way to earn money after going under review by the respective exchanges. if people are hoping that the result by all these IEO somehow turns out different than ICO out there, they are mistaken and these things couldn't result in different outcomes.
3542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How an interviewer made Craig Wright sweat about the question if he's Satoshi! on: December 26, 2019, 03:20:44 AM
Craig is never satoshi and it's better to just ignore him. You need to think why he's just garnering all these attention to him and act like a clown for purpose. Despite how most of people who have knowledge consider him as sort of delusional person he seems targeting those who are not really well informed regarding crypto. Sort of creating fake information to misled some group of people into believing that he's satoshi nakamoto. as a result you can see how many medias out there getting trapped into believing that he's "satoshi nakamoto" atleast that's what my brain tells me.
3543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Sinking ship or Sleeping Giant? on: December 26, 2019, 02:43:22 AM
I'd never consider a coin that has gone thousands percent up from its initial price as a sleeping giant even in the slightest. The premise about this PoS switching is promising but doesn't necessarily make it any better than it's now.
It might be worthwhile going with the latter on this topic simply due to the fact there isn't much competition market cap wise for Ethereum from similar platforms and its recent upgrades now give it a ranking of second place under EOS by CCID's global blockchain technology ratings index so there's plenty of potential once the market realizes it
Quite the opposite I think, once people realizes that these platform like ethereum which shares the same category as EOS or anything out there gives no real meaning, it becomes overvalued.
3544  Economy / Economics / Re: How do manage portfolio efficiently while having a full time job? on: December 25, 2019, 09:45:14 PM

You talking about holding coins in the exchange, where you will set up your sell order and if it's get executed it's cool you have your money, if not you just wait longer. But holding coins in the exchange is not secure, you can stay without your coins.
I think that long term portfolio doesn't need to be managed, you buy the coin, you store it and you open it in a few years. You don't care about tops and bottoms, you wait for the entire industry to lift off.
Actually saving your money in exchange "temporarily" until they sell or buy order executed is okay and most of the traders do that, though for a long term investor it's indeed discouraged to do that.
I agree with portfolio doesn't need to be managed everytime, people are confusing trading with long term investment. for long term investment managing portfolio is probably the last thing they'd do in "short time" but instead they just leave it be.
3545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Much WOW?!?! on: December 25, 2019, 12:52:47 PM
Kinda sucks after the big 2017 pump i think people got lazy. Ethereum in my opinion is way behind schedule given the fact it still isn't as mainstream as it should be. We have Ripple that is in negotiations with Moneygram and that needs to be what Ether and its platform in my opinion needs to start looking into.
To be frank even in the past ethereum become popular thanks to all the ICO that are hyped so much. After that phase, Ethereum's popularity starting to fade slowly and even nowadays there's no relevant discussion regarding the coin anymore except some measly things and the POS update. They really need to speed up their pacing.
3546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Loses Data for 267 Million Users, Calls Libra Security Into Question on: December 25, 2019, 04:23:06 AM
Facebook should add data breach into their company culture as a yearly event. Yeah, they are big company, everyone targeting them but to be breached so many times it's stupid. Good thing their Libra is not approved and I guess in the future the project will be cancelled.
There are nothing a hundred percent safe online. Facebook's users' data breach is now a common incident, such a shame for facebook authority and the same shame should fall into Binance and other big crypto exchange that has been hacked several times. However, I don't think Libra will have strong security for the users or buyers of it, as facebook itself is not safe, but Libra can be different too, there is a possibility that Libra will have stronger privacy.
The things are, facebook have made two grave mistakes and these are violating their own users privacy and getting data breached frequently. It's just a big warning for whoever soul out there trying to convert their money into Libra if their project is launched which I don't think will.
3547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Authorities Confiscating miners on: December 25, 2019, 03:37:25 AM
Mining using illegal resources is like a time bomb, just waiting to be raided by the authority. But, losing 7000 machines is nothing though the difficulty will adjust after 2006 blocks and everything will be fine as if these machines are not exist.

There is no problem in seizing if the Authorities found out that they are illegally using power, of course they have the rights to seize it. They are earning big without much spending on consumption? Should really arrest it. The news will spread and typically creates a fud on bitcoin. It's not btc fault but becoming affected due to misuse of these kind of people.
Don't really think this news will necessarily trigger fud among people anyway.
3548  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Viber, WhatsApp, skype, WeChat, Snapchat, IMO, Line not conduct ICO? on: December 24, 2019, 04:19:36 PM
Such huge companies do not need to make a fuss, they are known even without advertising and PR. Maybe in the future, they will create, like TON and Libra.
But first of all they need to go through strict regulation and being approved even before thinking of conducting an ICO and making fuss like is the same as taking risk of making wrong business movement which could put their business in danger. If they are about to release a coin, it'll only have the utilization of being a local currency and nothing more. overall it's just doesn't benefit them enough.
3549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason Has Almost Arrived For Altcoins. on: December 24, 2019, 02:47:04 PM
It doesn't matter whether bitcoin has less dominance in the market a true investors always find a good asset to invest in as long as it is viable and profitable, you should take advantage in the dips and buy more whether its bitcoin and altcoins. That's the beauty of having multiple coin in the market to have an competition and for the crpyto market continues growth.
The hard truth to swallow dominance affects a lot and it's a sign that more people are interested toward bitcoin and less toward alts. Yes, there might be some coin out there that are undervalued and deserve the investment. However, if the bitcoin dominance keep increasing that means the altcoin being crushed even further though some alts may just follow the flow like what it used to be back in the past.
3550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Just Had A Field Day on Nuls. $480k Worth Token Stolen on: December 24, 2019, 03:53:29 AM
Again one more hacking incident happens in crypto and stolen worth of $480k nuls tokens and my point is how can the hacker target weak address and find the private keys, maybe in the coming days we can see more incident like this in crypto? or there is any way to stop this?
The unfortunate thing is, no system is safe. It doesn't matter how much you invested into the security there'll always be a hole that could be penetrated by the hackers though if invested massively to the security it could somehow bring more security or at least buy time for yet another improvement like all those internet giants for example google. I guess hacking activities will still occur in the future but I hope I'm wrong.
3551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: December 24, 2019, 03:26:59 AM
Simply because being ignorant and greedy. Though, we can't predict when will someone turn into a greedy creature and then exit scam but trusting our fund to someone else in the first place is just really wrong. if you are being confused as to why people could get easily scammed that way, you must see those people who joined multi level marketing or ponzi scheme. they are dumb enough to just believe stranger's word as if being a scam victim is like a natural selection.
3552  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: December 23, 2019, 11:04:23 PM
That's quite impossible to be happening. I think the only reason of vanishing of crypto is whether the cut of the electricity over the world or just the end of the internet which I think it's impossible, but in that case a lot of people will freak out and trying to restore their investment of crypto on the internet.

sudden lost of massive hash power could also lead to blockchain not functioning properly and probably will take a really long time before adjusting after 2000 block. just imagine if today is the difficulty is really high then at a sudden the next day the hash power just around 2% left and the difficulty still stagnant at the really high level. it could potentially cripple the blockchain for some serious moment if it really to happen.
3553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Outclasses Other Cryptocurrencies as an Investment Option, Here’s Why on: December 23, 2019, 10:31:53 PM
It is natural to happen, every person or group would want bitcoin because bitcoin is a pioneer of cryptocurrency.  Although the price is too high, it does not deter people from being able to buy even have it.  In addition, bitcoin is a gateway for exchange from crypto to fiat currency.  Almost all websites that support cryptocurrency payments are already integrated with bitcoin payments.
Price being too high is not a problem if it can be obtained by the decimals or in other word small portion of bitcoin. This flexibility is what gives or make people who want to buy bitcoin being able to buy it easily without worrying about how much money they needed to invest and yeah, the fact that bitcoin always have a fiat pair whether it's local currency or USD also contributes.
3554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins delist and Bitcoin only on: December 23, 2019, 08:06:41 AM
Yes it is possible, in the future we will only be able to use Bitcoin in application areas. altcoins are not doing the expected in recent years, do not show their importance. so the Altcoins delisted and only Bitcoin remained
Though bitcoin staying to be the only one crypto is not against my favour but dont you think that if the market have more than one reliable currency it will be better?. The idea of making bitcoin code open source by satoshi himself Im sure is to facillitate people into creating their own cryptocurrency whether for public adoption or private.
3555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on Facebook's GlobalCoin on: December 22, 2019, 04:19:13 PM

With Facebook having issues with its partners, that is, losing its partners what's there to think again than to forget about it. Also, from the way it is being played now, I doubt if the zeal and interest is still there again for potential investors. Nevertheless let's keep watching as things unfold, it's centralized nature is a big blow to it already; have no interest in investing anyway.
There's literally no use of investing into stablecoin as it's just a safehaven to save your wealth from fluctuation and nothing more. Though, there's possibility that the value could also deflate due to being backed up by various assets but Libra is far from being deployed anyway so it's just better to just ignore it at this point and not being approved by government is like a dead end for the project.
3556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 top reasons to join Pieta at P2PB2B crypto exchange! Let’s get to know on: December 22, 2019, 04:15:47 AM
This forum has known P2PB2B to be a shady exchange. there are so many accusations against this exchange and even by mentioning it people would've already guessed that this project is gonna be another garbage project hosted by shady exchange. I'd recommend you to just give up promoting your project in this forum.
P2PB2B is super safe
Exactly what a shady exchange and project would say.

3557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance’s IEOs keep Dumping, but why? on: December 22, 2019, 03:31:37 AM
There have been several issues with Matic and I don't think it would be wise to blame binance for it. Binance can't just always carry the tokens to a better price. When the project does some mistakes, it's bound to fall. Most of the IEOs in binance are still in positive ROI and matic is one of the exception.
your thoughts are absolutely right. Matic dump cannot blame binance. ieo in binance is always a big success and investors get high roi when tokens are released to the stock exchange. Matic dump is caused by developers who sell their rights as explained by our friends. let's think positive.
It's to be expected that some investors will blame binance for it because the major reason they invested into this coin is because it's kind of being endorsed by binance at the initial phase of IEO and now facing problem they are desperately seeking for the spacegoat though Binance can't be completely blamed for this problem. It's the developer's self initation that causes this problem.
3558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cash the real Bitcoin? on: December 21, 2019, 05:49:54 AM
Just because there's someone with that kind of opinion doesn't make the original Bitcoin any less "Bitcoin" and everyone have their own opinion and vision regarding bitcoin anyway and they are already being facilitated with forks and whether to judge a bitcoin is the real one or not depends on the people themselves but I'd definitely prefer the one that already existed ever since the first emergence of blockchain-based cryptocurrency.
3559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Staking WAR has begun, who is wining it? on: December 21, 2019, 02:19:45 AM
Not so sure who if Coinbase has more users than Binance but even if they have, I think Binance will still win in terms of staking platform since the majority of their users is knowledgable in cryptocurrency and for sure they have an idea how staking works compare to the users of Coinbase.
I must admit that coinbase really successful when it comes to advertising and it seems their target audiences are those people who want to try crypto. Meanwhile, Binance's users consist of somehow experienced users in term of crypto whether it's trading or staking though. I agree with you that binance users have more potential for staking their assets in the exchange. But, if coinbase could successfully elaborate staking to their users, the potential they may get out of it couldn't be underestimated.
3560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are smart as well. on: December 21, 2019, 01:22:11 AM
You are absolutely right. Scammers have been developing along with the market. If they were weak, they would have been stuck somewhere in the past. But, check out today's crypto market, the scammers have developed so much in this regard that we have trouble choosing the good ones. Always need to be careful, we have seen many scam projects that gained people's trust.
It's to be expected that the scammers will become more sneaky and at the same time people are becoming more aware. but see at the positive side nowadays scammer could only scam some people who are really greedy and not those who think using their logic. currently scammers are having a hard time dealing with all the prevention measures applied to most of exchanges like KYC and moreover people are less trusting toward ICO with no legitimacy or approval from the government. though that might hurt the decentralized side a little.
