Real Sociedad have achieved two consecutive wins and this week will be the next winning streak if they succeed in overthrowing Alaves away from home. We know that Real Sociedad is having quite a difficult season and they have also just been eliminated from the Champions League stage this season. But they still have other responsibilities in La Liga and their mission is of course to return to the Champions League zone next season.
Real Sociedad were much more of a fighter in the league in the previous season. However we can't see the same dedication this season unfortunately.  Maybe the Athletic Bilbao factor is playing an important role here because they weren't this effective previously. But in this season they are doing an incredible job by fighting for a Champions League spot. Still Real Sociedad could have been more competitive instead of trailing behind by nearly 10 points though. Even their Conference League spot is in danger right now as Betis aren't that far away. It seems like the possibility of Luis Diaz to leave is getting stronger this summer. If they lose him and Salah both at the same time this would really be a big hit to Liverpool side. Especially Klopp's decision to leave can play an important role in Salah's decision in my opinion. I remember something like Klopp said that he believed Salah would stay longer. Maybe he would wait to see their next manager choice and then decide what to do. He doesn't need to be in a hurry as the summer break is going to be quite long. In case of his departure Liverpool had better do their research properly because it isn't easy to fill the place of a player like Salah. |

Why does it have to be Gareth Southgate? Gareth Southgate might be considered an experienced coach and as we know he has coached the England national team for quite a long time but until now he has not had any good achievements that he can present. So I think Gareth Southgate is not the coach that Man United needs right now. Maybe it would be better if Man United tried to sign Xabi Alonso. He may not have much experience, but what I see is that he is a coach who has a winning mentality and I think this is the kind of coach that Man United should get.
Of course it doesn't have to be Southgate. I just talked about it because of the recent rumours going around.  There are surely better options with really good careers. I have already mentioned Conte as an example. He is familiar with the Premier League already you know. He has a nice history with Chelsea like winning a Premier League and an FA Cup titles. Maybe he would be considered as one of the candidates in case of deciding to sack Erik ten Hag. However there are new rumours like Sir Jim Ratcliffe can give another chance to Erik ten Hag for next season. If this happens they had better make their transfers properly in the summer. |

Actually that's interesting, I want to watch Manchester City play without De Bruyne, Rodri and Silva, also Real Madrid play without Bellingham, Vinicius and Valverde. So this could make other teams can win against both of them, unlike people who're predict the winner would be either Real Madrid or Manchester City.
PSG without Mbappe would be interesting too, it's like they have zero chance to win against Barcelona.
Why would you like to watch them without their best players?  It wouldn't be enjoyable at all and it would be normal to see them having extra difficulties because of that. This is valid for every other big team with great players in their squad. Unlike you I would like to see all of these teams with their best lineups. Manchester City will have full squad against Real Madrid as it seems. But I can't say that for Real Madrid I'm afraid. There are still important absent players in defense. Courtois was actually near recovery but he has got injured once again and he is out for the season now. |

I assume PSG would be the only team Zidane would be interested in if he becomes okay with managing a team again. His wish has been to manage France indeed but it doesn't look like he will get the opportunity in the near future for now. I would really like to see Zidane managing PSG some day. I believe they can be more successful with him. He would only need to be free about building the team according to his own system. PSG have a lot of money so they can do the same as Manchester City have done for Guardiola. But before anything else I don't know whether Zidane would think of such agreement with them. |

I bet the match will end in a draw. I'm not sure Juventus will be able to beat Lazio even though Lazio is ranked 9th in the standings. After the defeat to Inter Milan, Juventus' performance has really declined. I don't know what's going on with Juventus as a whole. Do they no longer have the spirit of competition so they only think about securing a place in the Champions League? I wouldn't bet on Juventus in that match either. But I'm also not sure Lazio will be able to win the match. So I choose to bet that both teams will draw.
The thing is they aren't strong enough in the attacking line. They can't score good amount of goals and this problem caused them to be out of the title competition quite early. I really admire their defending side but there is a serious level of scoring problem. 44 goals isn't good enough statistics while getting close to the end of the season. This team really needs new transfers for their midfield especially. Because their attackers aren't that bad actually. Vlahovic has scored one third amount of the goals in the league so far. But they can't have good level of contribution from their midfielders. Allegri needs to be given a good amount of budget to make the needed transfers this summer (if he doesn't get sacked though). |

If De Rossi let Roma play attacking in quarter finals, it will be very risky for Roma because AC Milan are experienced enough in knock out matches and they have enough star players to punish any mistake from Roma players.
I agree their matches will be very balancing and they are challenging opponent for each other so to beat their opponent, they will need to play very excellently or need their opponent to make mistake and give them a big gift to score winning goals or perhaps mistakes from referees and VAR referees.
But if Roma don't play attacking it might be more difficult for them to eliminate Milan. Because I don't think Roma are really good at playing a defensive game. That boring style of Mourinho was one of the reasons why they didn't have a successful run in the Serie A. They should be able to make up for their defensive weaknesses with their attacking strength. You have a point about Milan though. We saw what they did to Napoli in the Champions League last season. This is what making them the favourite of the matchup here. But we will see whether they will show another example of that. |

Bayern Munich should be able to beat Dortmund at Allianz Arena at the weekend. My opinion is clear about this game. Yeah maybe Bayern Munich don't have much hope left for the league title despite the existence of a mathematical chance. They are still trying their best recently as you can understand from their latest results. However there is another point here. Kane is injured and not expected until like mid April. In his absence I'm curious how much the squad will be affected. Dortmund are also trying to hold onto top four. They are fighting Leipzig for that. But I still think Bayern Munich will win. Dortmund are really bad in away games against them. The last time they won was like in 2014. |

I do not remember when was the last time everyone expected a players decision like this before. Mbappe may leave, which is what everyone is talking about, but in reality we could technically see him stay as well.
This was the situation last time around as well, and PSG had to give him not only 60 million a year, but also a 120 million signing bonus as well, nearly 500 million combined, that was a huge one and aside from Arabian clubs, the biggest anyone received in football. I am guessing that Mbappe is acting like he will leave, and there are many clubs that are both good and rich that can offer a lot for him, so he is using this to make PSG pay even more. If we hear something crazy like 100 a year from PSG, I wouldn't be shocked.
It is even said that Mbappe is ready to accept a much lower salary offer coming from Real Madrid. However his sign-on bonus is said to be huge around 150 million euros. Real Madrid would be ready to use their finances as much as possible to convince him for sure. As long as he is satisfied with money as well I think Mbappe's choice would be to leave. Going to a team where he can be much more successful is really important for his career. He is called as one of the most talented players in the world. He should support this with some bigger titles as well. It doesn't look like he is winning a Champions League title with PSG anytime soon. Real Madrid is a great place to increase the chances. |

By the way, I already miss the Champions League final in the form of the Real - Atlético derby. And the draw worked out so that it is quite possible  The last time Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid played against each other in the Champions League finale was in the 2015/16 season. It has been quite a long time indeed.  Theoretically it is possible because of the draw form but I don't know. I assume we would see Atletico Madrid in the semi finals at least. But for Real Madrid I'm not that confident. Their performance against Leipzig wasn't convincing enough you know. Ancelotti will do his best for another season of two titles in big tournaments for sure. They would win the La Liga title but I have big doubts about the Champions League one. |

Lyon have climbed to the tenth position and this is a really great work. When they started the season really badly and continued like that for a very long time I really started to be worried about them. It would be a pity to see a team like Lyon relegating honestly. When Ancelotti has decided not to bring in many players in the transfer season it means he is ready with the players he has and it is certain that he has the players to execute the scheme that Ancelotti wants to do with the players he currently has. Here is the odds given for the result of the Lazio - Juventus game:  Am I surprised with that? Not at all. I was already expecting a really close game and bookmakers are also expecting for the same thing. Maybe there is a gap of sixteen points in the standings but this is easy to misguide someone. Why do you doubt Leverkusen to be in the final round? Although Leverkusen didn't play very impressive in the match against Qarabag, they finally eliminated Qarabag and keep the record of unbeaten in all competition during this season. Don't you think Leverkusen deserve to play against Liverpool in the final with this unbeaten record? In my own opinion, I even believe that Leverkusen deserve to win this competition. You can see the fact that Liverpool got 2 loses in the group stage but Leverkusen played perfectly with 100% win. So, it is quite strange if you don't trust Leverkusen to be in the final match.  It is actually quite normal to doubt Leverkusen after seeing the way they performed against Qarabag. Yeah maybe they eliminated their opponent anyway but it was very difficult for them you know. Maybe they underestimated Qarabag and this caused them to have this much difficulty. I hope so otherwise their job against West Ham will be extra difficult in this phase. We will see how dedicated they are by the first leg. I really want to see Leverkusen in the finale playing against Liverpool honestly. It is like the best kind of a finale for a season like this. I have heard that if there have been some names linked to the arsenal. It will be benjamin sesko and gyokeres but it's not yet clear whether arsenal is really targeting these names. I haven't heard of their interest in Sesko but there are rumours linking them with Gyökeres. However Gyökeres has a release clause like 100 million euros. I don't think Sporting would like to let him go below this price. If Brentford want 100 million euros for Ivan Toney then Arsenal will make a choice between them (if we consider these players are prioritizied). Both of them are really capable strikers but Toney's illegal betting scandal wouldn't be forgotten easily. Arteta shouldn't be in a hurry while making a striker transfer and I assume he won't. The squad is already very productive about scoring goals. Making the right striker choice would make their attacking line even more deadly. |

I thought Kane's injury wasn't much serious but it seems like he is quite likely to miss at least 4 games and this number might get bigger depending on how fast he will reach match fitness. The Bundesliga title is already not going to Bayern Munich this time but Kane will miss the chance of breaking the goal record in the league because of this injury. Besides he might even miss both legs of their Champions League matchup against Arsenal. This would really be a big advantage for Arsenal honestly. People are talking about the rumours about Southgate to Manchester United but I hope it doesn't happen even if it is true. Southgate isn't a successful manager at all. He couldn't achieve anything in his career. England still can't win even one title I mean. However he is still managing the team which is very unreasonable to me. I don't expect Southgate to be the one to make big changes at Manchester United. There are much better manager options that they can think of. The main problem isn't only the manager for them. It is not true to say that Paris Saint-Germain can never win the Champions League. But they couldn't do it when Messi, Neymar and Mbappe played together for Paris Saint-Germain.
