However, that doesn't mean that when he joins Real Madrid he will immediately be able to give his best performance, he has to adapt first, and if the adaptation process fails then maybe he will become a failed player. However, with the abilities he has, I see that he will be able to get through that process, and hope he can become an even greater player, I mean by winning many titles with Real Madrid. Mbappe has to adapt to the situation, because he will not be treated the same as when he was still in the Paris Saint Germain uniform.

Of course. Technically there is no guarantee for any player to show great performances right after they join a team. However I believe Mbappe's process will be similar to Bellingham. People were having the same doubts until Bellingham joined Real Madrid and started to play. But he started to impress people quickly and he is like the most consistent player of the team in his first season.  Smiley

This kind of really skilled players are usually not having problems on adaptation as long as they join a team that fits their games. I think Real Madrid's system is also just great for Mbappe to adapt in a short time.

When it comes to the Liverpool - Atalanta matchup first of all I respect the work Atalanta have done so far. However Atalanta are quite the underdog. If we see Liverpool playing with the same ambition they had against Sparta Prague then Atalanta's chance to reach the semi finals would be really low. Even if they don't lose by big goal gaps it would be quite difficult.

These two teams actually played against each other in the Champions League a few seasons ago. It was in the group stage and each one of them won once. But especially Liverpool's win was like a destruction by 5-0. This makes me wonder if we see a similar result here too.

Aston Villa vs Ajax is like an early conference league final this season,

Maybe it could have been one of the finales but still I wouldn't put this finale to the top though. Because Ajax aren't the same team we know this season. They haven't been as strong as they were in Erik ten Hag era.  Sad

I'm more than impressed with Aston Villa you know, they was just dealt with during the weekend ganes by Tottenham Hotspur as they lost four goals to nothing.
I won't lie I love the mentality of these players and most importantly the head coach for what he has impacted into these lads. Four goals tonight against a big European side shows how good they have been. They could still go on to win the league same way you must have predicted.

It was a great performance that's for sure.  Smiley  4-0 was a really heavy score considering what happened in the first leg. Aston Villa simply showed the quality gap between them this season by a big win.

Considering the teams remaining I think the biggest challengers for the title are Aston Villa, Fenerbahçe and Fiorentina. We will probably see an Aston Villa - Fenerbahçe matchup in the semi finals which would be one of the early finales.

Reportedly PSG is ready to offer a salary of 500k euros per week to Marcus Rashford. That is a very large amount for a player and maybe he will become the player with the highest salary in Ligue 1 after Mbappe leaves PSG. Now the rumors are still running and PSG made an offer of 80 million euros to Manchester United so that Marcus Rashford is allowed to go to the Paris capital team.

I think that's a very large amount and Manchester United will still make a profit if they want to sell Rashford and they can use the money to buy new players next summer. We know that recently Marcus Rashford's performance has not been very impressive and while PSG is still willing to pay him a large amount, Manchester United must immediately consider the offer. Apart from that, Marcus Rashford will be the key to the success of this transfer if the two teams agree on the fee.

Rashford is currently making 300k pounds a week and the claimed offer by PSG is around 430k pounds a week. This would mean like an additional 6 million euros more to his current salary per year.  Smiley

This offer would be tempting for Rashford I assume. He hasn't been a consistent player at Manchester United so far. One year we saw him performing great and in another he was the opposite. Manchester United's condition is also known. They have been on the decline for a long time. PSG could be a nice choice to win more titles for Rashford. It wouldn't be the same as winning a Premier League title though.  Grin  Let's see what the Red Devils think about a possible deal.

Milan - Roma, it is such a thrilling matchup to be followed.  Grin  We have been witnessing Italian teams facing each other in these tournaments in the recent years quite often. You would remember the Napoli - Milan and Milan - Inter ones from the Champions League last season. Now we have this matchup in the Europa League.

Milan have seemed as a bigger favourite for the Europa League title according to bookmakers so far. It is still like Milan are seen around two times closer than Roma for the title. However I actually see these teams having similar chances. Especially after the improvement came by De Rossi, Roma are in a really great shape.  Smiley  I think I will give Roma a chance to get past this phase.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 15, 2024, 01:27:59 PM
Arsenal's nightmare is back!  Grin  After seeing this draw between them and Bayern Munich their last matchup in the Champions League came to my mind. A total defeat by 10-2... Arsenal got really embarrassing results back then. Of course there are big differences between Arsenal in 2017 and the one in this year.  Smiley  This time I expect a much closer fight considering Bayern Munich's not being the usual as well.

We have an early finale between Manchester City and Real Madrid as well. I was really hoping to see these teams competing against each other in the finale. But here we are.   Sad  It is better to enjoy this huge matchup from now on. My favourite is the Manchester side but I wouldn't be shocked to see Real Madrid getting past them either.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 15, 2024, 09:31:47 AM
I would guess that Bayern may not be who they used to be, but they are not "bad" neither, they are still second and I think it's just one season. We will see how they will be next season, I bet that they are going to be pretty good next season and will keep on winning. I understand that it feels like sometimes it is not that great and all, but to me it feels like it's quite large and quite amazing.

The thing about the current situation is that we should be focusing on how to improve our betting based on the "new" Bayern and usually people fail there. Like if you bet them to win, they may end up losing at any given game, we do not know when they will win and when they will lose. One day you look at they won 4-0, and one day you look and they lose to third division team.

Bayern Munich would probably be better than this if they make the right choice for their next manager. We don't see different champions often in the Bundesliga because of their dominance in the first place. This is the first time after like 11 years of domination.  Smiley  It wouldn't be bad to see this difference more often from now on though.

But it is really not easy to believe in such thing just because of one season.  Sad  Bayern Munich are said to be interested in Xabi Alonso by the way. If they manage to be the team to sign him this summer then I think we are likely to see a big Bayern Munich domination again.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 15, 2024, 09:19:53 AM
I also don't think Osimhen is as big player as Mbappe right now. He is one of the most important players for Napoli of course. But we should see Osimhen performing at bigger teams than Napoli first to see what he can do in that situation. If he still continues to be very productive about scoring goals then his quality will be appreciated by many more people.  Smiley

When Mbappe joins Real Madrid he will take a big step in his career. This would surely be a big help for him to become one of the legends with many successes. Being able to win only the Ligue 1 title isn't good enough for a player like him. He would make use of bigger titles than this such as the Champions League and so on.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 15, 2024, 09:04:51 AM
For the Atletico Madrid - Barcelona game both teams are coming to this game with an improved level of morale. Because you know both of them have reached the quarter finals in the Champions League.  Smiley

Atletico Madrid have one less day than their opponent to rest for this big game. Besides they were able to eliminate Inter by penalty shootout so the players should be quite tired now. Maybe this could be a chance for Barcelona to benefit from. I feel like they won't be losing to Atletico Madrid away. They already have a good record against them for quite many games. Double chance on Barcelona has 1.59 odds right now. It seems quite tempting to me.  Grin
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 15, 2024, 08:53:03 AM
Why avoid them? It's like finding yourself in a battle field right in front of your enemies, it's either you draw out your sword and fight it you'd see yourself burnt down or die by the sword.
It's football you see, they might have been the best so far but they're humans just like myself, only if everyone on the pitch would take responsibility for himself, then they can take on any of these supposed strong and hot sides to play.

Most likely to leave the next round are Barcelona, Paris Saint Germany and lastly, Borrussia Dortmund. The Champions League team of the week came out and I had no much issues with some of the names mentioned.
Props to Atletico Madrid, I did voted against them though.

I wouldn't also expect Simeone to be afraid of an earlier challenge against such title contenders. Atletico Madrid have already played a lot against Real Madrid with Simeone. He knows how to play against Real Madrid to increase their chance for the semi finals. They already beat Real Madrid twice this season which should be also taken into account.  Wink

When it comes to Manchester City they are also a team that Atletico Madrid faced in the Champions League like two years ago. I remember how much Manchester City struggled about eliminating them. It was like 1-0 on aggregate.  Smiley  Therefore Atletico Madrid don't need to be afraid at all.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 14, 2024, 01:46:35 PM
People say they have a chance in the Champions League, do you still think that way for Bayern Munich? Thomas Tuchel has been dominating the League until they got him sacked.
He'll have to make sure and good use of the chances he get so he could equal and match

I'm not thinking the same with those people I'm afraid.  Sad  Because we don't see the same old Bayern Munich at least for now. One can show their huge Mainz win recently as an example to me maybe but it would be so wrong to believe in them only depending on their performance in one game. They have had many inconsistencies so far.

These problems could have resulted in even worse for them. For example the number of point losses would have been much higher. While they are certain to part ways with Tuchel as well it is hard to trust Bayern Munich to even reach the finale of the Champions League.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Conference League 2023/24 Season on: March 14, 2024, 01:34:42 PM
Aston Villa - Ajax game is going to be one of the most attracting games today. Because technically Aston Villa are the biggest favourite to win this tournament this season.  Smiley  I can't say I was satisfied with the performance they showed in the first leg though. The general look of the game was actually poor as the number of goal attempts was quite low.

Tonight we should be able to watch a stronger Aston Villa in England. The only and important thing I'm curious about is if Emery will make changes in the usual lineup. Because they have a game in the Premier League after this one three days later. Considering that the score of the first game was 0-0 I guess Emery wouldn't make big changes.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 14, 2024, 01:13:06 PM
Attracting free players is not as easy as it seems, and the best ones are bought first in any case, rather than waiting until their contracts expire. While the team has financial problems, it is very difficult to plan anything on the transfer market, but even without victories it is not easy to improve its financial situation.

The team's largest debt so far is for players signed in 2022:

* For Raphinha they have to pay €24 million this year, and €38 million next year.

* For Lewandowski they must pay €10 million this year, and €21 million next year.

* For Torres €13 million this year, and €26 million next year.

* Kunde will have to pay €11 million this year, and another €24 million next year.

In my opinion, there is still a debt for de Jong, that is, you see how many obligations the team has that they must cover, if they cannot pay, there will be legal proceedings, and a ban on the club from operating in the transfer market. So there are a lot of problems and it’s difficult to think about new transfers with such financial problems.

Barcelona have been dealing with financial issues for quite much time. They couldn't act much freely due to La Liga FFP rules in the past as well. This even caused them not to be able to register some players in time.  Sad

I hope to see them solving this kind of issues as quick as possible. Because while their main rival Real Madrid are making their squad much stronger with new transfers Barcelona should also be able to answer. We are even talking about Mbappe's joining Real Madrid this summer. When this happens the power gap will be even much bigger between these teams. Barcelona would also make use of a star player transfer.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 14, 2024, 09:20:07 AM
I think Napoli could lose Osimhen earlier than Kvaratskhelia to another team. I mean actually both of these players have been showing impressive performances. But Osimhen's contract expiration time (2026) is one year closer than Kvaratskhelia now. The chairman De Laurentiis was able to extend by only one year with Osimhen the last time.

I think this clearly shows that Osimhen wants to think about his options on one hand. That must be why he didn't want to have a long term relationship anymore. At one point Napoli would lose both of these players probably but the question is: when?  Smiley
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 14, 2024, 09:09:54 AM
For now Monaco is more on a better chance to compete with Brest on the second position because they both have a very close points unlike Lille and Lens that still have like 3 points lower than Brest and Monaco, although anything is possible because it all depends on there efforts and courage, so if they put more focus on there matches they could raise there points and compete for the second position, however on the 17th Brest will be meeting Lille and in as much as Lille is on the lower position than Brest but there meeting is not always easy on Brest because I remember how there last match went, Brest losing against Lille and also the way I'm looking at it Brest make not likely last longer on the second position because they seem to have decreased in performance lately because even Lens won them on there last meeting, so I believe that very soon the second position will fall among Monaco, Lille or Lens because they are of good performance than Brest right now.

I wish Monaco were in much better condition than this. I still remember their golden age with Falcao and many more really skilled players like him. It must be like seven years ago that they even won the Ligue 1 title.  Smiley  It doesn't feel good to say "even" for this because of an enormous PSG domination as well but there is nothing we can do about it.  Sad

I know being bought by very rich people is really good for that team but not the same for the quality of the league. But rather than seeing only one team dominating the league it would be better to see more teams being able to compete for the title in the Ligue 1. I know it wouldn't still be fair for the rest of the teams but at least we would see some real competition for the title.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 14, 2024, 08:57:21 AM
Last night I saw how much I was wrong about Atletico Madrid. I saw Inter as a way higher favourite to reach the quarter finals. Especially after seeing Inter scoring first I was more confident. I think if it weren't for Griezmann's very early answer this comeback might not have got real. We saw how important Griezmann is for this team once again. I saw his condition as doubtful until the game time got very close.

However I think the biggest share in this huge comeback and win belongs to Simeone. Because his moves in the second half made a big impact on the game.  Smiley  By the way the penalty Lautaro missed might haunt him for a while.  Sad

If I must choose which option, is still very best to bet, and I would say that I will pick Roma. Brighton is only getting more advantage when it plays at home soon, but I'm concerned about the mentality owned by the club. Roma is leading the way compared to the brighton.
It means Brighton has a big chance of losing against Roma. I consider the players' mentality the most important thing a club needs to win the competition.

Look at the odds and how big bookies have given the odds for roma to win the current game. it seemed to me that if roma is likely winning the game soon

Right now it is like 1.79 - 4.30 - 4.00 so Brighton are still quite favoured for the win here.  Smiley  Honestly I'm expecting to see a win by Brighton today. If you ask me why I expect such result I can say that I'm expecting De Rossi to rotate his usual lineup. Because they already have a 4-0 advantage and they have a Serie A game to play in only three days.

But when it comes to De Zerbi he doesn't need to do such thing. He can use his best players available as long time as possible because of not having any other game until the end of the month. I'm seriously thinking adding Brighton win to my parlay for now.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 13, 2024, 01:53:36 PM
I would like to point out an important information about Kane's record probability. In the previous season Kane scored 30 goals in 38 games in the Premier League. Now he has done the same thing but in only 25 games. You see the big difference, right?  Smiley  If he especially maintains his current form in the recent couple of games why wouldn't he break a new record in the Bundesliga?

But a really big consistency is needed in the remaining weeks. There were some games Kane didn't score a goal in it in the past as well. If we see the same graph again then it would be really difficult to break the record. Whether he breaks it or not the Bundesliga is much easier for him now.  Wink
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 13, 2024, 01:10:32 PM
Viktor Gyökeres started to shine at Coventry first and later we started to watch him at Sporting. I can also easily say his performance so far has been great this season. 33 goals and 12 assists in a total of 37 games... This is just superb effort! His being 25 years old is also a good thing about him to be targeted by Arsenal. You know how close Arsenal are interested in such players according to their policies.  Grin

But I don't expect Arteta to rush anything yet. There should surely be many alternatives like him out there. Honestly I would rather see them signing a star striker. It would be a big improvement for the squad. I still respect them of course, especially Arteta (considering from where he brought the team to this level  Smiley).

Another rumor is circulating; we've seen several reports linking De Bruyne to a Saudi Pro League club but I believe this rumor is gradually becoming true since there are more signs came and it likes tell us if this news will come true but not yet clear whether de bruyne will accept or deny it.
Quote
Saudi Pro League clubs have registered interest in a summer deal for Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, sources have told Football Insider.

The 32-year-old playmaker is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium in 2025.

It is understood that De Bruyne has been made a top target by Saudi clubs as they prepare for another summer of heavy spending to grow the popularity of their league.

City have previously done business with Saudi clubs with Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte leaving last summer for a combined fee of £55million.

Saudi clubs are willing to pay a transfer fee north of £100million and offer De Bruyne a lucrative contract to lure him to the Middle East.
source: https://www.footballinsider247.com/kevin-de-bruyne-man-city-braced-for-100m-saudi-bid-sources/

...

This rumour has actually been active for quite a long time. But as long as Guardiola remains at Manchester City I don't know whether De Bruyne would like to make such decision easily. I know he is 32 years old now but he can still be very useful for the team for a couple of more years.  Smiley  I believe many people think the same about the topic.

His performance since he recovered from his injury has also been proving this. Despite playing in really low amount of games his impact has still been huge on nearly all of them. While he is this eager to play Guardiola would like to keep him in his team I think.
