3661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Clipboard hacking restarted again on: November 24, 2019, 10:09:49 PM
This is exactly what I always reminds to people that even though people have their 2fa authentication or even hardware wallet as their security but this thing could just replace the clipboard and the victim will be done for. It's like this malware is penetrating right through the weakness taking advantage of the randomness of the address that people usually  not bother to remember and I always told people to check the address they want to send twice or even more before clicking the send button. I also heard that this clipboard hacking could come from random browser extension aswell since people nowadays uses either online wallet like MEW or metamask.
3662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think crypto world needs... on: November 24, 2019, 02:35:54 PM
Crypto right now need even more recognition, adoption for practical uses to be honest. there's none lately any news regarding the adoption of cryptos but instead just some news about China's government raiding and many negative news. It's always the adoption that I waited the most because using bitcoin to deal with various matters including fulfilling basic needs is a lot of fun than using card or even cash.
Until today I only see the adoption of cryptos are mainly coming from any tech company and not some company from other field. It's somehow feels frustating to be honest. Also the recognition of crypto by the government that always changing time by time always grinds my gear.
3663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good trading volume doesn't mean a token is good on: November 24, 2019, 06:18:17 AM
But if we talk about good trading volume that means traders have a good income about that coin because many are use it to trade. Use your common sense, as a trader you will not choose coin that you will be loss or coin that will not bring you your return of investment. So I think you are wrong.
This statement is so wrong. Good trading volume doesn't mean the volume is not artificial. There are so many cases out there about volume being manipulated just for certain purpose. Also, good trading vokume doesn't mean the trader having a good income aswell. There are some cases of newly generated alts that got listed into an exchange having a really good volume but past 3 months they lost almost all of the volume and literally dying.

OP is not wrong, he's just telling people that there are more factors need to be considered even if certain coin have promising valuation on the paper. It's not all about trading volume.
3664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My objective opinion, why cryptocurrency will live and develop on: November 24, 2019, 02:17:34 AM
Personally, I believe that with the advent of the crypto industry, life becomes very interesting and exciting. So any user with an electronic information carrier in front of him will be able to make any payment and send it to anywhere in the world. Since cryptocurrency is a single cryptocurrency where it is practically recognized throughout the world. And it is very convenient and comfortable to pay with cryptocurrency.
isn't that basically paypal? if you think bitcoin exist until now because of that sole reason which is available worldwide for remmitance that's not the case. it live uptill now simply because it is a cryptocurrency which is decentralized and have the community supporting it from behind which differs a lot compared to paypal.
If we are talking about convenience the centralized services like paypal tend to be the most convenient one but what make bitcoin unique is the fact that there's no company backing it up and it's only you that have the right to your money.
Paypal is the most complicated payment method I've ever used. Maybe just me personally but I would definitely prefer to use cryptocurrency over paypal anyday because how simple it is actually just scan a Qr code and you're done. With paypal there's risk of exposing your credit card information if there's a harmful malware in your computer also so many scam and phishing website created solely to trap people. I've seen so many people after they got their information leaked their paypal was also having suspiscious activity maybe because it got breached and people are trying to use their paypal account. Only in this case I would say that the centralized ones is a lot worse than decentralized crypto for the means of remmitances.
3665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China vowed to "slash" crypto exchanges, bitcoin prices plummeted. on: November 23, 2019, 11:37:56 PM
This is FUD news that crashed the market price of Bitcoin, however, according to TA charts, Bitcoin was always going to dip around this time of the year
It is maybe true that bitcoin always be dumped every the end of the year but this news also contribute to further decrease the price of bitcoin as well as making people afraid of holding cryptos specially in China.

And what will happen to price when China will ban it? Going to zero?
Definitely not going to zero. China has announced to ban it twice and the last time they say to ban it the price instead getting pumped. The market will just adapt and get used to it. Majority of crypto trader in China will probably move their money to japanese exchange or some sort just like in the past.
3666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listed exchange matters on: November 23, 2019, 04:03:27 PM
The reason of why the most bounty tokens are getting listed on shitty exchanges is that the teams are simply greedy. Nobody wants to pay large fees to get listed on a good exchange, when you can pay 0,1 BTC for exmarkets listing.
With popular exchanges comes great liquidity as the saying. It's all about money. Maybe you can think that paying popular exchange just for listing is a huge waste of money but then again, the coin that are listed on shit exchanges usually dying out within few months thus having a shorter life span.
Getting listed in popular exchanges you could also enjoy the benefit of publicity to thousands of people unlike in a low volume exchange where you are the subject of selling point to attract people but if both the project and exchanges are crappy who's gonna be attracted?
The price of getting listed into popular exchanges despite really expensive is quite relative to the project. If a project is raising huge amount of money it will be no problem but a little project will just dreaming of getting listed into Binance or many top exchanges.
3667  Economy / Economics / Re: The Government-Backed Digital Dollar (USD) on: November 23, 2019, 02:50:43 PM
What is so special about government backed digital currency if there's already one created by private companies out there. Take it for example Apple pay they just work basically the same as any other digital payment application and the function is just well as the name says to pay something and now recently Gcash aswell. Such a thing as Government backed digital dollar is actually just a waste of time because there's no advantage to having it while some other services are already providing similar option. The government is not going to compete with corporation and private company because they are all about free market (although government could). The only difference about it is that Government print the money meanwhile service like Apple pay and Google pay are reserving the fund in their system.
3668  Economy / Economics / Re: Can online platforms like Youtube and Facebook really be decentralized? on: November 23, 2019, 01:53:24 PM
You can't make Facebook and YouTube decentralized since it's a large company controlled by their creator. It's already been established and a big company so how come the owner of it would want it fo be decentralized? They're earning a lot already. It's not an easy process. Because people are already satisfied with what it is...
people always wants more I guess. The people who are not really into tech always prefer something that works regardless whether the service they are using is centralized and decentralized this kind of thing is definitely out of their understanding anyway. Platform like Youtube and Facebook will definitely not turn into decentralized anytime soon because they are corporate and only seeks for profit. They also need the authority to take down any content they deemed harmful to the community they maintain.
It's just a no brainer that a platform that already success and having a really good revenue stream will definitely not change their entire system and risking their entire existence just because of such frivolous matter.
3669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good trading volume doesn't mean a token is good on: November 22, 2019, 09:48:36 AM
I often get coins that have large volumes but are very difficult to sell. all are controlled by bots buy and sell orders are filled with bots that manipulate the volume.
The coins are only listed in one exchange, so there is no other choice to sell coins like that, except selling on buy orders and will be executed by the bot.
If the coin is manipulated or using bots in certain market that can't be considered a high volumes coin though. only the genuine ones could be considered as one of that. I honestly pissed off with the existence of that bots aswell. It's like they are trying to give us false information and make us screwed.
Especially on todays exchanges. The numbers are just terrible, almost every single exchange is doing wash trading and the number of real trades is scary low. Furthermore, without further development a token is worth nothing.
Only unreliable exchange I assume, the popular ones rarely does this but doesn't guarantee that they are not doing this anytime soon. only time will let us know.
3670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Send More Fraudlent Developers to Jail and I still Sanity Into Crypto on: November 22, 2019, 08:29:06 AM
in the United States getting fraudulent developers into prison is easy but outside the United States? not as easy. The law enforcement in each countries around the world varies from excellent to really bad. These fraudulent developers could also flee to third world countries although the interpol might be after them but it takes a lot of time to search for them. I do support this kind of real punishment toward all those fraud people but I really hope that such punishment could be enforced in the third world countries as well.
Maksim Zaslavskiy, a computer programmer from Brooklyn and the first person in the United States to be convicted of running a fraudulent initial coin offering (ICO) has been sentenced to a year and a half behind bars as over 1000 investors were duped.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/us-ico-scammer-sentenced-to-18-months-in-jail?utm_source=Telegram&utm_medium=social

I think more of this Jail time will help sanitise the cryptocurrency space. What do you guys think?
This won't make scammers to stop scamming people because there is huge money scammers used to make from it so they will always try to take the risk, i think its better to use technology to stop scammers instead of hunting for scammers
Yeah, it's always better to prevent these scammers rather than jails them since the losses might be enormous. There's no guarantee that we could catch them as well.
3671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Year 2020 expectations on: November 22, 2019, 08:02:53 AM
I think when it comes to projects, the standards are getting higher and the requirements are getting hassle to do. But I hope it has something to do with the development of the projects and not just for nothing. I also hope that the altcoin also pushes forward because they've been stagnant for too long.
That actually a good thing. No more scammers running away with their wallet full of investors money and then dump it to the market. Usually if a project could meet up tho that standards it means they are dead serious about their project and not just playing around therefore it could pump the productivity of those project not just to gather some money.
As we go more ahead more difficulties we will face as the all govt's now taking it seriously to regularize the crypto market so for some time may be in 2020  crypto market remain red and in 2021 I am sure it will start boosting.
When China announce the release of their own cryptocurrency it will be a huge news and most of countries will try to put their attention into it and possibly creating a new regulation. Yeah, that year will be a huge reveal of what most the countries think and their stance regarding cryptos.
3672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What type of Cryptocurrency is used in the Deep Web for transactions? on: November 22, 2019, 07:39:23 AM
There are also other anonymous currencies like Deep Onion, Zcash but these may not be as popular as other cryptocurrencies.  The fact that Bitcoin and Moreno are popular and long-standing cryptocurrencies so I'm not surprised they are used a lot on the deep web.
my guess is that people there are considering the liquidity of certain coins to minimze the value fluctuation thus chosen Bitcoin which has known to be the most adopted coin and have the biggest liquidity while in the other hand monero is anonymous though the liquidity is just sufficient. But, I always wonder whether those people in the deep web are making their own altcoin aswell since the deployment is quite simple if using an already existing smart contract platform. That actually makes sense and have the possibility since making their own currency that is not know to the public could lead to lesser attention.
3673  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: November 21, 2019, 11:04:32 PM

With so many controversies arising from this tech giant's ambitious actions, we never truly asked the most important question.

Would the people actually use Libra should it be approved by the congress?
Right now no one know that will it get approved by the congress or not! In the same way we cannot say that how will it work and how much will people trust on that coin. Many experts are from now suggesting them to adopt bitcoin which I also think that it will be good for all of us.
People also are worried about Libra because they think that the privacy on facebook is not much secured. It is also considered as a centralized coin and the crypto community want to adopt only decentralized currency.
I've never heard any expert from when talking about Libra trying to mention bitcoin or even recommends us to adopt bitcoin by any means. Even Libra is not approved because it could potentially become a danger for the national currency and bitcoin which is decentralized can't go anywhere if the government have that idea.

If there is any credit sir additional offer on using any Facebooks services means I will definitely use the Libra coin for it.
If they are not doing that means I will never plan to invest or buy that libro coin in any exchange for their public sale.
Some foolish big investors are there in the market as well as some traders there to invest on Facebook just for the namesake.
It is a stablecoin, created for the purpose of becoming the new digital payment method to compete with the already existing digital wallet like Google wallet, Apple pay, etc. I see no point for facebook to give any offer because it is not ICO or IEO.
Some big investors are just trying to get the profit generated from every transaction just like any other stablecoin out there. People who buys the coin and think themselves are investing into Libra is definitely bamboozled.
3674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: November 21, 2019, 05:38:26 PM
Holding it even we are in the bull market is a big mistake , there are many people has been experience this lost, becuase they believe that when holding it will increase its value sooner . if you are in profit  already take the profit and leave  dont wait for  dump will happen, its better to have sure earnings than gambling it for just hoping that it will increase more .

I disagree, it is not totally a mistake, it just happens that they are too positive about the bull run, and hopes for even more about it, I will call it a mistake if they have lost their coin because they have send it to the wrong address because of too much excitement on getting their profits, maybe they (also me) missed the chance of selling it to gain profits, but bull run will still come and we will have another chance to do the right thing.
It is always greedines that lure peolpe into holding for too long and missed the train. I know because I did such a thing in the past too and that was such a painful experience and expensive ones too. it definitely feels like getting a slap right on my face. People who are always holding for too long are those who believe too much on what people says. usually they just outright follow people's opinion while those thoughts are truly biased from someone unqualified and deemed to be a shill.

Yes, most of us experience that feeling, which is hope, but after a difficult time of the market, we realize that money is the most important thing, and sometimes cutting losses is what must do.
As for Centra, there are a lot of articles about their CEO getting arrested, so I think he hasn't been following the market for a long time.
Just forget about that project, if there's someone getting arrested from a project that simply means the project is a failure and there's no need to further follow that project. After all, the emergence of such arrest is simply a catastrophe for the entire team despite having large amount of money being thrown down to their face. Even their coin have sunk to the depth of the coinmarketcap and nowhere to be seen as of now.
3675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove that you shouldn't rely on icobench and others on: November 21, 2019, 04:19:13 PM
That makes sense. After all, this guy also has to do business and make money. If icobench will not ask for payment in exchange of rating, how is it going to sustain? To avail a service, we need to pay first. But the payment is a high one. All of the businesses have same way of earning money. They can manipulate stuff so ask money in return. Anyway, best of luck to your friend for his project and ratings.
Speaking of the truth they could still sustain through their banner but it wont make that much profit. The bribing is what makes their wallet and although that practice is wrong in so many ways they are still doing it for the sake of profit. Guess what, that alone could actually explain the recent trend of ico list that are sporadically spreadout across the internet.
The only thing that make it unfortunate is probably the fact that there are no people who wants to provide a platform to expose such practices to the public and that's why their reputation is untouched even after doing such practices.

Nowadays money is the basis for you to be number 1. Because if you have no money no one will accept you to become friends and only a few of your true friends can be trusted. This is similar to what is happening today in ico campaigns because they buy their rating to be number one. So it's better now that we shouldn't rely on ico rating websites, and we should know what real ico is yet to be trusted.
Unfortunately if something like that is not stopped, it will be a massive burden for the people here. Imagine an ICO rating website is giving 5 stars out of nowhere to fake project and ended up scamming so many people meanwhile the ICO rating website can just get away with the money.
3676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have a 12 word seed phrase that appears to be wrong (Ethereum) on: November 21, 2019, 02:57:31 PM
Now just picking a password to hack the metamask is very difficult but there are many other ways through which scammers doing this.

If you are talking about bruteforce, there's definitely no way a scammer will do such method because it'll be not worth it anymore because bruteforcing a password is not as simple as "picking a password"

I agree with cj why not having multiple way of recovering before you sent your eth. Saving your private key is a good way since you can use open it in many different wallet using private key.
I'm guessing you didn't try to reopen the wallet with your passphrase before transferring the eth balance ,thats why its happen.
Retesting the seed is a crucial part that most of people usually just skip. They don't know that there are chances error to occur and not testing the seed beforehand is really something lackeys would do.
Maybe OP need to check out the word one by one if there's any typo in it or try to rearrange the words which surely take a quite the time.
3677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What type of Cryptocurrency is used in the Deep Web for transactions? on: November 19, 2019, 01:33:50 AM
The most common and widely used from the past for transactions on the deep web is BITCOIN. But after many altcoins appear, maybe payments can be made with altcoin such as ETH, XRP, DOGE and others. The goal is only one, so as not to be tracked by anyone and without a name.
I personally do not know about the deep web, I only see from the article that the transaction therein uses a lot of crypto, especially bitcoin. new insight for me, but I personally think again to visit the site
that's true but when so many people in deepweb aware if bitcoin doesn't provide good privacy for its users and they are all moving to the monero to get the best privacy to make their transaction becomes untraceable. Some parties have already made a reliable article about that.
3678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is worth to invest in dogecoin? on: November 18, 2019, 11:12:03 PM
Well!! Did you know? Dogecoin has gained a lot of popularity in the crypto space, as a lot of experts like Elon musk, vitalik, and john McAfee have shown love and support for dogecoin.

On the other hand, experts predict that dogecoin price will rise high in the upcoming years.

What's your take on dogecoin?

Alas, with the endless issue of coins, raising the high rate is not possible.
This coin is mainly used to transport their funds from one purse to another, as it has a small Commission and is traded on almost all exchanges.

It's only natural now not to keep a new coin too long for a price. you should sell and switch to popular coins like Bitcoin. It's more promising than new types of coins that are very vulnerable to death.
You may right about that but remember this not all of people have big amounts of money to invest in bitcoin. Imagine when you have a few dollars and you are interested to get the best volatility to get profit from your money and doge is the right now. We should know what was the situation before we decide to move our portfolios to another coin.
3679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners, don't give up yet. Bitcoin can't do it alone. on: November 18, 2019, 03:44:17 PM
Altcoins are creating more awareness, for example as big as bitwings project is in colombia today many people are starting to know what crypto is all about because of bitwings from wingsmobile, the fact is bitcoin can't really do it alone
Is there proof? i can't even say if that was creating a big awareness in colombia. Bitcoin can do it alone and when bitcoin was created and it didn't even need the altcoin to get its value. bitwing is a new altcoin and so many people are still asking about the credibility of the project itself. Just because it was created an awareness doesn't mean if bitwing can be taken as an example of how altcoin helped bitcoin.
3680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Need to Reconsider Holding altcoins on: November 18, 2019, 03:35:46 PM
Although now is not a very favorable time for altcoins, but you still need to be very careful. There are coins that gave great hope, but now turned into nothing, but there are also coins that are not worth selling now. Times will improve and there is a chance to get a decent profit from them.
At least to bet on altcoin is also not a bad decision consider about altcoin will always here forever. That just the matter about how good the development of altcoin. It's better to invest in a project that has a bright future. The decent profit will come to good altcoin. This time people must focus on how they can get the quality over the quantity. An altcoin that has already present by the utility usage of altcoin itself. People must aware if altcoin is not always become a bad story
