I thought Kane's injury wasn't much serious but it seems like he is quite likely to miss at least 4 games and this number might get bigger depending on how fast he will reach match fitness. The Bundesliga title is already not going to Bayern Munich this time but Kane will miss the chance of breaking the goal record in the league because of this injury.  Sad

Besides he might even miss both legs of their Champions League matchup against Arsenal. This would really be a big advantage for Arsenal honestly. Because Kane has been scoring like a goal machine you know. Without him we would feel the difference.

People are talking about the rumours about Southgate to Manchester United but I hope it doesn't happen even if it is true. Southgate isn't a successful manager at all. He couldn't achieve anything in his career. England still can't win even one title I mean. However he is still managing the team which is very unreasonable to me.  Sad

I don't expect Southgate to be the one to make big changes at Manchester United. There are much better manager options that they can think of. The main problem isn't only the manager for them. It has been the management of the whole team. Now the owner has changed and I hope this would have positive effects on the team success.

It is not true to say that Paris Saint-Germain can never win the Champions League. But they couldn't do it when Messi, Neymar and Mbappe played together for Paris Saint-Germain. How can they do it today without them? It's impossible to put such a squad together again. Of course, I wouldn't say that they will never win the Champions League, but we have to accept that their chances are lower now.

I was really hyped when they had a trio like that. I thought they would win the Champions League at least once. But unfortunately...

It isn't impossible to build a strong squad honestly. You know there is always a new generation with very skilled players. The chairman should make his transfers according to that from now on. Look at teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City for example. They are really successful about bringing such players and building their future with them. If PSG don't keep up with them they would continue to look at the Champions League trophy from far away.  Sad

Milan will have a hard time against Fiorentina, but they will not lose. The league champion is now clear, but the competition with Juventus for the 2nd place continues.
My prediction is that Milan will win this game and keep the points difference with Juventus.

The current odds are for the result of this game are like below:

This is a quite close game that's for sure. The point gap between these teams shouldn't misguide people. I wouldn't place a bet on a side here but both teams to score could be a really good option for this one. Fiorentina beat them in their last two games against Milan home. The scores were like 2-1 and 4-3 so over 2.5 goals could be another nice option.

Milan aren't catching up with Inter from now on when we look at the standings. They would like to maintain the second position until the end of the season at least. While Juventus are playing against Lazio away Milan had better get a good result here.

I know right, Arsenal is not used to be here so we are not programmed to think they are capable of pulling surprises to their fans but what if Arsenal becomes like the rest of the teams that are good. You can't see a team at the top of the Premier League and consider their performance as average, they are more than average team which is why I have a vote of confidence in them, at least to send Bayern Munich back to Bundesliga where they belong.

I admire Arsenal's performance in the Premier League. I haven't anything to say against that. They are even the most scorer team in the league in addition to their being the leader there now.  Smiley

But we don't see the same team in the Champions League. I assume you would agree with me on that as well. We can't say their performances here so far have been very consistent. We have all seen how much they struggled against Porto. There is still a point that they can benefit from though. Bayern Munich's performance in the Champions League hasn't been amazing either. If Arsenal manage to make big difficulties for their defense then things can get really interesting.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: March 25, 2024, 09:05:45 AM
One of things I'm curious about this season is whether De Rossi will manage to carry Roma to the finale just as Mourinho did in the previous season. Maybe things didn't went well for Mourinho in the Serie A back then but he was still doing quite nice in European tournaments. First a Conference League title and later on reaching the finale in the Europa League.  Smiley

This would be really important for De Rossi to increase his chances to get a new contract from the board. His contract is until the end of the season for now you know. If he carries Roma to the finale here and into top 4 in the Serie A I see no reason for the board to not continue with him.

Source: https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2024/03/23/65ff2587268e3e27078b45c6.html

It was like a fairy tale when Joan Laporta said there was an offer from a club trying to offer Lamine Yamal a transfer fee of 200 million euros and he firmly rejected it. I mean, if what he said was true he should have released Lamine Yamal and when else could he produce that much for a player. Apart from that, the offer also seems unreasonable because Lamine Yamal, who is still 16 years old, has a team that costs him 200 million euros and his market value even exceeds that of Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe. Cheesy

I can't understand why Barcelona has a club president as funny as Joan Laporta and he continues to create sensations amidst the club's decline due to the financial crisis. I think again, if the offer was real, 200 million should be able to fix existing financial problems and on the other hand he could buy better players for long-term investment. Isn't that quite reasonable? but once again this is just a ridiculous statement from the club president and I don't believe it.

You know there is a Barcelona tradition about pricing their promising young players. They simply put a release clause of 1 billion euros on their contract and that's it! This is for the aim of showing no intention to sell those players to other teams. I haven't heard any player rejecting this release clause yet. Pedri, Gavi and Yamal all have it on their contracts.

Barcelona had better not lose this kind of valuable players of course. They are building their future around these players. Barcelona can fix their finances without selling this kind of players as well but they need time for that.

Verstapppen, Hamilton and Russell all couldn't finish the race. This was the only way Verstappen would fail and it really happened. It was a really poor weekend for Mercedes. Russell's crash was very unfortunate as it happened during the last lap. It was the same for Hamilton when his engine died all of a sudden.  Sad

I wasn't expecting to see such an interesting race honestly. A podium of Sainz - Leclerc - Norris was quite unexpected. Sainz indeed came back strongly by a win. He got only one win in the previous season so I'm curious about whether he will improve this number this year.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 24, 2024, 02:14:39 PM
I won't be surprised if Arsenal say goodbye to the tournament in this phase. It is still going to be a successful run for them anyway. The opponent is Bayern Munich now and their job is quite difficult. If Arsenal play the same as the Porto matchup then there is a big problem for them. Bayern Munich might seem like they aren't the same as the previous season but they wouldn't be forgiving against vulnerable opponents anyway.

Honestly I don't expect a huge score between these teams this time. Arsenal have made big progress thanks to Arteta. I expect to see them fighting back decently.  Smiley  But when it comes to my favourite it is still Bayern Munich though.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 24, 2024, 02:04:42 PM
A new talented youth player from Brazil, Endrick, who will move to Real Madrid in the summer, just scored his first goal for Brazil national team in a match with England at Wembley stadium.

With Endrick, Real Madrid have another player from Brazil to build up their Galaticos 3.0 and they even started it seasons ago with Vini Jr. and Rodrygo. Two years since World Cup 2022, Endrick has more time to grow up and sharpen his skills in Brazil and now it's time for him to debut his career in Europe with Real Madrid.

With his height, Endrick will not likely suited at the striker position and he will have to player like a forward or at swings like Rodrygo and Vini. Jr. With a transfer of Mbappe from PSG, according to rumor, Endrick will not be given a position in Real Madrid squad immediately after moving there.

The player again shows recent problem in Brazil, they don't lack of midfielders and attacking players but no longer grow up good strikers recent years. In Premier League, they have G. Jesus and Martinelli but they are not classic strikers too.

Endrick is going to be 18 years old when he officially joins Real Madrid squad. It would be normal to not see him entering the starting lineup right away. He will need to be really patient and focus on benefiting from the chances he finds as good as possible. Vinicius Junior has also been there when he first joined Real Madrid you know.  Smiley

But it is really an inevitable truth that Endrick would be likely to have less chances than now when Mbappe joins the team. It isn't certain yet though. Mbappe has stated that he doesn't have anything to announce for now. We will find out this summer.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 24, 2024, 09:23:46 AM
Ancellotti has just renewed, I don't think Real Madrid will fire Ancelotti after having just renewed him unless the coach himself resigns perhaps after winning this Champions League, if he succeeds.
On the other hand, I don't see how Xabi can remain in Germany in the same team, when the auction for him starts this summer with many coaches looking for a new guide, including Liverpool and Bayern.

I don't think Real Madrid would sack Ancelotti no matter he wins the Champions League title this season or not. In addition to his signing a contract extension newly he is quite close to winning the La Liga title. When it comes to the Champions League I feel like this will be the end for them against Manchester City. At least it would be like this if they play the same as the previous phase.  Sad

I expect Ancelotti to stay for another season but it is difficult to say if he would stay until the end of his contract which is 2026. If he doesn't have a very bad season or decide to accept a national team offer then I assume he would stay until then too.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 24, 2024, 09:17:52 AM
There was really another spectacular work by Leverkusen last week. I really forgot about the numbers, was that their 38th game in a row without a loss?  Grin

There is no way Leverkusen are letting Bayern Munich get close to them from now on. There is a gap of 10 points and 8 weeks left. Maybe there is a mathematical chance for Bayern Munich but I don't expect Leverkusen to fail that hard. They are no Dortmund obviously.  Tongue  Bayern Munich are definitely going for Xabi Alonso this summer. I don't know whether they would be the team to convince him but there would be a big chance in my opinion.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 24, 2024, 09:09:14 AM
I no longer consider Paris Saint-Germain as potential winners for the UEFA Champions League title because when it was their moment, they screwed things up and end up on the losing side. However it's good to blame PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi for signing potential big names that have no absolute control with the progress of the team, rather they played their personal style of football and lacks the chemistry to push for greater winning. PSG will struggle when their most outstanding player finally exits the door this summer, Kylian Mbappe will leave without a second thought

It would be a brave statement to not consider PSG for the Champions League title from now on. They can still create a solution to this if they take the right steps. They can spend their money in a more sensible way to build a much stronger team. They have signed skilled young players recently but I doubt they can achieve this title with the current squad.  Sad

Especially when Mbappe leaves this team will be much weaker. He is keeping this team on feet with his big contribution of goals. The chairman has all the money he can use to transfer big names. He should focus on that in the next transfer window.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: March 24, 2024, 08:58:45 AM
Marseille have done a good work so far. Especially after changing their manager they have been on the rise. We are witnessing its reflections in the Europa League as well. Their performance against Villarreal was really impressive especially in the home game. The Benfica matchup might be a little more difficult but I'm still favouring Marseille to advance.  Smiley

If Marseille make it to the semi finals I don't feel like they will see more than that phase.  Sad  Because their quite probable opponent would be Liverpool there and I wouldn't expect Marseille to eliminate Liverpool too. But at least there is good progress in their game since the latest manager change.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 23, 2024, 02:50:00 PM
Financially, YES. If it's about the competition to get la liga trophy and it's not yet. Xavi has used his special skill to push barcelona exceeds their limitations. In result, barcelona's performance was always so amazing lately. Anything can change in matter of weeks.

Things will be worsening for barcelona next season. Club has no money to buy the new player.  Cry

When it comes to finances Barcelona have really had tough days but they would leave these days behind sooner or later. Their main problem has been with the league FFP rules recently.

Barcelona aren't having a very successful season which is a truth. The point losses they made earlier caused them to fall from the title race very quickly. Now the gap is eight points while we are in last nine weeks of the season. Real Madrid just need to make a terrible mistake from now on to let Barcelona jump in the race again. I don't expect that to happen. I'm just curious about who they will bring in Xavi's place after his announcement to leave.

There is one week left for next round games to be underway. This week seems like a golden opportunity for Liverpool for now. Because you know there is a big game at Etihad like Manchester City - Arsenal. I assume Liverpool wouldn't leave the Brighton game at Anfield by a loss right?   Grin  It would be a shame if it happens as they have to take advantage of every chance for the title.

Manchester City can be really unpredictable in such games. A draw in this game would be the best result for Liverpool but they wouldn't say no to Arsenal's losing either at worst. Let's see whether Klopp will manage to make Liverpool champions one last time before leaving.  Smiley
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 23, 2024, 02:33:30 PM
Atletico Madrid have a quite good potential to reach the semi finals now and who knows maybe even the finale.  Smiley  But I doubt a lot about the finale part because of their potential opponents like PSG and Barcelona. PSG can eliminate them especially with a big help by Mbappe. When it comes to Barcelona it hasn't been much time since they beat them away by a score like 3-0.

Even reaching the semi finals would be a good success for Simeone here and they should play the same against Dortmund as they did in the Inter matchup. But their current condition in the La Liga isn't good at all. They might not even join the Champions League next season.  Sad
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 23, 2024, 02:22:06 PM
Logan Sargeant will miss Australian GP. His car is given to Alex Albon. During practice Albon had big crash, car suffered serious damage and Williams didn't had 3rd chasis to replace crashed one. So, they decided to sacrifice Sargeant.
From team perspective it's understandable, Albon have more chances to fight for points. But what kind of message they"re sending to Albon, I don't know... He haven't done nothing wrong and now he is forced to miss race because of temmate mistake.

Sargeant is a big disappointment for Williams considering how Albon has performed so far. I was even doubtful about Sargeant to have a second chance for this season honestly.

This must be why they did such thing like giving Sargeant's car to Albon after Albon's crash. They don't trust Sargeant as much as Albon. I think any other team in the same situation would do the same as well. Anyways, we have the qualifying results and Verstappen is on pole which isn't surprising.  Smiley  While Sainz was doing a good work too Leclerc couldn't show a good performance. I'm curious about who will be faster during the race.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 23, 2024, 09:15:53 AM
These are just speculations all for the clicks, they're not as concrete as you think it should be. Manchester United and Manchester City has enough winger's and for for Arsenal? I would say they need a player who can compete with Bukayo Saka also come in whenever he is Injured.
The Manchester neighbors are not entertaining such new at the moment. And why would Rodrygo leave Real Madrid when he is having enough game time?

On the left wing for Manchester City when they have Jack Grealish, Jeremy Doku and lastly Bobb? Knock it off! For Manchester United they have Marcus Rashford and Garnacho and Amad Diallo and Antony.

I have said this a dozen times, Alexander Arnold is a lazy player bit a good passer of the ball, Is he the perfect man for Real Madrid to sign up? He is not good defensively. Why end the case of signing Hakimi from Paris Saint Germany?

Yeah there is nothing official as we haven't heard of any statement from these teams. When it comes to Manchester United's options on the wing I wouldn't prefer Antony at all but the remaining options are quite good indeed. Antony is really a huge disappointment for Manchester United. They must have spent 100+ million euros for his fee if I'm not wrong.  Sad

Alexander-Arnold is still one of the best right-backs no matter what. While Carvajal is getting old slowly I believe Alexander-Arnold can be one of the best options to fill his place. Maybe he isn't the best at defending but he can still be used as a great offensive right-back.

Talks of him leaving Stuggart for Premier League clubs such as, Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United and also Tottenham Hotspur has all dropped and reduced all of a sudden. I wonder why. Could it be because he was Injured and rebuffed talks of leaving the club during the January Transfer Window?
Bayern Munich also has plans for him so he could be the back up plan for Harry Kane just if he is reported Injured. Hopefully Harry Kane would be back before the game against gunner's, I would love to see him sink the gunners yet again same way he did year's back in the Premier League Competition.

And even if they qualify for the Champions League Competition, he shou utilize the opportunity he has and make big moves. Twenty - two league goals and that amazing. He was taking the chase for the highest goals scored seriously until he got Injured.

Maybe it was due to injury yeah. When a player get injured teams are more likely to wait and see how that player will play after their recovery. But Guirassy hasn't been affected with that injury much as it seems. When the season ends we would probably start seeing new rumours linking him with some Premier League teams again.  Smiley

Kane's injury doesn't look very serious. He is expected to return by mid April for now. If it was an injury to last for many months then Bayern Munich would think of bringing another solid striker in the summer seriously. Bayern Munich would focus mainly on their potential next manager now.
