381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 08, 2023, 12:30:07 PM
I understand that it's hard to predict, but I suggest you follow your own intuition as this should be a close match.

In the last two games of the Lakers, they were -1.5 and -2, while the Pacers were both underdogs in their last two games. So most likely, the Lakers will be the slight favorites here. However, you can't count the Pacers out, as they are getting everyone involved. They are an exciting team to watch. Although I initially thought they were not consistent, beating the Celtics has changed my perspective. I've already told myself that they might advance to the Finals, so I wouldn't bet against them facing an experienced Lakers team, especially since the public is likely be backing the Lakers.
I'm guessing the Lakers will be favored by 3-4 points, but I would likely bet the Pacers and take the points. They seem to be playing good as the underdogs and have been really playing well as a team. If Haliburton is on point it will be a closer game than most think.

I hope bookies will be able to set at least 3 points + for the underdog Pacers. Yes, they seem to be playing good because Haliburton being their main star does many things including making his teammates better. His numbers are really impressive, you can tell he work hard and he doesn't force his shots, he find an open teammates. The last 2 games, his assists are in double digits, and he is not into stat padding as we can evidently see the outcome of the game.

Though Pacers are quite new in this situation, (championship) but let's give them a try.

383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: December 07, 2023, 12:02:00 PM
All of those are needed to take on this market because this how it goes. And taking your time is a must because not everyone starts perfectly.
There could be some mistakes that you'll commit when you trade actually and that's not going to be enough for you to be honest if you want to become a real trader today.
Patience is needed on this and when you don't have one, better to skip this market and leave.
We all came from being a newbie before we discovered things and gained ideas from our bad and good trader experiences. We make mistakes, suffer losses, and earn some, that was our life before but even today, losses are still somewhat possible. As newbies, we never expect to earn a profit easily nor do we think that we could learn today and become good by tomorrow because it takes time to become fully knowledgeable about trading. In fact, every trade is a learning, everything we do has something it returns not just profit but also ideas.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coin memes don't have a project? Is it worth buying for the long term? on: December 07, 2023, 11:18:16 AM
I can't say whether it's true or not, but even meme coins that have no future can be valuable if influencers or famous people are involved in them, crypto is a fomo and fud space that is very influenced by news or encouragement from famous people, for example Doge which was popularized by Elonmusk.
Doge, Shiba Inu, and Pepe - these are the meme coins that have been known in the market due to their hyping price but the rest remain unnoticed. Not a surprise in the sense that these meme coins have no use case and only hype helps them be known to us. Therefore, investing in them is not worthy and it is much more if we think about holding them for many years, they are dead already.

I don't discourage people from investing in meme coins but must be sure that they are already aware of what will possibly happen to their money.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 07, 2023, 04:21:16 AM
This resulted in a lopsided win by Magnolia, outscoring Blackwater 19-35 in the 4th quarter alone.

Sorry, mate, you lost both the ML and the handicap.

The same thing they did on NLEX, they beat them on the 2nd half, this sone is worst as it only takes one quarter for them to route the Blackwater. It seems like Blackwater doesn't have the right characted to become a championship team, but the Magnolia is strong enough with their confidence that they can beat a team  even down in the prior quarters and just win the last quarter.

I can say that they are the team to beat because in terms of consistentcy, they have all of it.

Magnolia could  ===>>  SMB, TNT, GINENBRA
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Compounding altcoin profits in bull run? on: December 06, 2023, 01:03:24 PM
I even started with $50, with ath $5000++, crypto bull run is really a way to make money fast in altcoins.
Start with $50 and make a profit of $5000++, is that right?
Have you entered the memecoin that is currently hype and the memecoin has increased by thousands of percent? If that happens you will get extraordinary profits. But what coin you are holding, is it really real. It is difficult to find a diamond at the bottom of the sea.
He is bragging to us and thinks that we believe him. Well, he is wrong as it never happens in a real scenario, and even hyped projects it still impossible unless he starts with $500. I think he is driven by his imagination thinking that there is a miracle happening from investing shitcoins.
I invest in a few altcoins and I often do some diversification but I've never experienced earning such a huge amount even during Bullrun. So I don't think it is believable, far from reality.
387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: December 06, 2023, 12:26:47 PM
Trading may not suit everyone. It involves both profits and losses, and your success largely depends on your ability to navigate these. It's crucial to understand that your losses could be someone else's gains, and vice versa. The unpredictable nature of the crypto market means we can never fully predict its future, leading to potential total loss.

It means that trading is not just all about money (capital) but also, strategies, knowledge, and skills. Without these things, no way we could earn a profit but just losses only. That is why a lot of traders end up losing and quitting because they don't have any of those things, they don't even know how trading works, or how much more to do in actual trade. That is why they don't have a reason to succeed or even blame the market because only those who are skilled enough and have the urge to change their behavior will win.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 06, 2023, 03:06:18 AM
I was a bit surprised to see the Pelicans beat the Kings last night. Brandon Ingram had himself a game though putting up 30 points. Zion was less impressive only getting 10 points but he did it on an efficient 5-8 from the field. Sabonis had a great night for the Kings, but Fox wasn’t shooting the ball well and I think his 10-25 gf performance was the difference.

Yes, Fox is their leading scorer, and if he shoots that ball badly, like that kind of percentage, they will have to suffer the consequences. But we have to give it to the Pels though, for putting a great effort to stop Fox.

And they have a lot of players who put good numbers like Herb Jones with 23 big points. At least it offset what Zion put as we expected him to put like 20 points and like 10 big rebounds. This is also a big upset as far as betting goes and hopefully someone get this one.

Kings is kinda an overhype team, they haven't proven anything yet, although they are good in the regular season but there's a tougher challenge in the playoffs where they need to prove themselves. The in season tournament is like a serious competition, same with the playoffs, since they lose, I'd say their playoffs performance or chance could just be the same like last season.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bad news always brings some good news! on: December 06, 2023, 01:48:20 AM
As we all noticed, the market is quite bullish now, we hit $40k and it's already trading above that level.

I said "bad news' because with this recent development involving CZ and Binance, this usually bring some negative sentiment but look what's happening, the market is going on the opposite side and it kees getting bullish.

So this is just my observation, like in the past, about exchange getting hacked, China FUD, etc.. it all resulted to a BULL RUN!

So is this guy? Tell me about your opinion about this....
390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not very easy; it took my friend a long time to understand. on: December 05, 2023, 01:31:09 PM
Experience will somehow teach us and mistakes could be a reason to improve, and this is actually what happens to your friend (and to everyone).
Your friend's experience tells us a very important thing that we need to keep in mind, never quit and never think negatively despite losses. It also teaches us why we should have to be patient and why we should not stop learning. All of these things are the reason why improve and the reason for our success. It is be saying that there is no sweet/easy success in trading, it only comes if we make an effort and carry a positive mindset.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest the money to buy the land in Bitcoin. on: December 05, 2023, 12:40:07 PM
I really envy your courage, not everyone will be that courageous to invest all their savings in Bitcoin.
Moreso I respect the fact that you understand that this your investment could become nothing tomorrow because of the volatility and risk involved in investing in Bitcoin.
It's a good thing, and who knows your $11k could become $20k in this next bull run.
Not everyone because not everyone has also seen the potential of Bitcoin. But OP has a positive view of Bitcoin and a kind of investment mindset which drive his decision to invest in Bitcoin rather than buying land. He came up with that decision believing that Bitcoin could give him more profit which was unlikely to earn if he acquired land.

Indeed, the potential of making $11k can be doubled or even more when properly managed. Perhaps he knows the risk he faces so we could assume that he was ready enough to whatever happen.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos after the shutdowns of mixers on: December 05, 2023, 11:37:04 AM
Hopefully, nothing serious will happen to the casino, and the crypto casino can still run as usual. We can also use crypto casinos for gambling, as we have used before.
Of course, a casino will only be close or "something will happen to them" if they'll violate the law. Others that are in compliance with the law, they can continue to operate.

But when the casino finds something suspicious in a gambler's account, they will investigate it thoroughly, and the casino may ask the gambler to verify their account to ensure that their suspicions are no longer necessary.
That doesn't make sense, if they will investigate and find some activites that are against the TOS, KYC would not save an account from being freeze or confiscated as casinos won't tolerate cheating, a way to protect their asset to run profitably.

But the government can do something about casinos, especially casinos that are suspected of being places for money laundering. The government will tighten its supervision of the casino in case there are illegal activities carried out by members of the casino so that the government can follow up by contacting the casino. The government could require casinos to ensure that their members do not do anything illegal.

Thave have already tighten their supervision, this is to prevent money laundering, and if a casino does not comply on the regulation, simple, they'll close shop and will face lawsuit.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 05, 2023, 11:17:01 AM
Well, it's not just the recent games but this has been happening since several years ago. The craze of fans is no longer there but if it's there, it's only with Ginebra or SMB games. That's how the fans are with the PBA these days because they do understand that it's no longer an exciting league and goodness that there are other leagues that have been rising from the bottom like MPBL, Pilipinas Super League and the other local leagues that are being followed due to the scattered former PBA players joining one and another.
They haven't made an improvement to the oldest league in the Philippines. By letting the big company took over indirectly, this looks like a private league and could easily be viewed that it can easily be rigged.

The PBA looks not worried at all as long as they've got these big franchises but we're seeing that the leagues like MPBL is gaining more popularity and gaining more audience each basketball game that they have. The oldest league in the Asia is no longer patronized by most of the basketball fans and I think due also to the livestreaming feature, it's better to just watch on TV or online rather than go and hassle with the traffic going to the venues.

They aren't worried because behind this league are big companies, they're earning a lot of money but as to sustainability, that could be a problem in the long run, so it's still better if they'll make an improvement by eliminating farm terms, company is limited to owning one team only, and adding more teams to participate.
394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Correction is possible in bitcoin price? After 40,000$ on: December 04, 2023, 12:52:54 PM
Corrections are inevitable and it always happen after the pumps. But I don't think that the price of Bitcoin will be turning back too low again, we can call it short corrections over short pumps. That is what the market looks like but honestly, this is actually the reason why many people are here as they trying to catch the dump and sell when it pumps, and the cycle repeats again and again.

So I would say that we gonna expect changes in the market from time to time. Until the market moves in unpredictable directions, everything seems to be expected - up and down.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: December 04, 2023, 11:03:40 AM
Perhaps it was risky OP and that is why this kind of investment has been known such a thing, can never change. Why? That is because of its volatile nature which is this investment is just for those who can afford to lose their money and of course, risk-takers.
If we are still confused about the profit potential of the market, we better not force ourselves to try because when the hard times come, we only regret and even blame the market. And don't dare to try as well if you don't have any idea or knowledge about this, losses are only what you get in the end.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 04, 2023, 05:45:39 AM
This fight is fast approaching. We are only 22 days before this fight happens.

Just like on that poster/member above, i do also believe that there might be some upset of this upcoming match.
Im not that into those final words in regarding about winning but basing up on Tapales sparing partner.

“He is in very good condition,” Estrada said to GMA News. “His punches surprised me because speed and power are there. Nothing is impossible if [Inoue] brawls with Tapales. But even if they finish the rounds (and go the distance) I would still go with Tapales because he never lets up, punches a lot, closes the distance, and he is aggressive. I do not believe the people who say that [Tapales has no chance against Inoue] because he is a two-division champion and he is training hard. He is preparing hard and [is] ready to fight. From what I experienced in sparring, he is very strong.”

Source: Marlon Tapales Sparring Partner Estrada Says Tapales Has Great Shot At Beating Inoue: “He Never Lets Up” - Boxing News (https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/marlon-tapales-sparring/271422)

Preparation is intense and he do really knows on whats stake on here.

I am also giving Tapales a chance. He is indeed a 2 division champion and most people have no idea about it. Tapales also stopped 9 of his last 10 wins so his power is underrated. But of course, Inoue knows all of this. Inoue is not just all about power and skills, he's got a high IQ and doesn't underestimate opponents which is why he is at the top. So I doubt Inoue will brawl unless he feels and is not hurt by Tapales' power punches.

As for Estrada's other assessments, like Tapales' strength and condition, they may not be a good basis because he is not a world-class fighter and has no experience at that level which is why he was surprised.

It's still good to hear this kind of news though, it kinda hyping Tapales a bit and most of the Filipino fans does not know him, so with this kind of updates from his camp, slowly they will be convince that Tapales has a decent chance of winning against the monster Inoue.

We can hear lots of positive remarks from both camps, but we know the real battle is on the ring, and it's been Inoue that has proven many times that he doesn't struggle, instead he looks so superior, so I'm hoping it will not be the case against Tapales.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: December 01, 2023, 07:25:16 AM
I usually gamble with small amounts of crypto, but I've never calculated the exact percentage of monthly income I use for gambling.
I'm sure that the percentage is bigger than 1% , but not more than 5% of my monthly income.
Setting such limitations might ruin your gambling experience, because you are always aware that you shouldn't spend more than a certain amount. This is kinda annoying, but on the other hand, having such spending limits is important to keep you away from "chasing loses" and getting addicted to gambling.

It's going to be either you stay safe but lessened the fun in gambling, or try to go for a higher risk and enjoy. I would choose the latter, because the purpose of gambling is to entertain ourselves, with the right discipline although we don't follow all the time the 1% of our income rule could already give us the entertainment value while able to minimize the risk at the same time.

You know, problem would only arise the moment you chase, that means you are losing control already, and once you are in that position, regardless if it's gambling or not, it's pressume that you arent' thinking straight, so bad decsions will be made.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when you look at your first Bitcoin wallet? on: December 01, 2023, 03:21:25 AM
I have no regrets with what I have spent my bitcoin with, the stuff and experience that I have acquired thanks to bitcoin is such an appreciation for me so I do not have any regrets about my spendings, the people that I have met and the experience I have shared with them is something I will be grateful. Money can always be earned and I can always buy bitcoin so I have no worries. In fact I am happy because all the bitcoins I have sold, I can still remember where I have spent it. I guess I am living more to what Satoshi envisioned on how to use bitcoin more than anyone but that is just me.
Perhaps, we can we whatever we want because that is our money and besides, having Bitcoin isn't just we hold them forever but of course, for some reason, we can spend it. Yes, we never feel regrets and that is exactly what we should think.
As I checked all the transactions I've made and had a total of all incoming transactions, I couldn't imagine how big it was if never spent/withdrawn already. But just like you, I'd never use it for nonsense and useless stuff so I feel no regrets. Well, this is the truth, it comes in and it goes out, and only the transaction remains as remembrance.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 30, 2023, 01:57:12 PM
We bet on the Lakers though? They make a good comeback win against a low team in Pistons. But at least they will have to get this W to bring back their confidence. D'Lo broke for 35 points and almost got a double double with 9 assists.

We haven't seen D'Lo scored big points for awhile now, he stick with his average production which is 17PPG, so it's quite surprising as he is no longer a good contributor for the team. Maybe he would get his confidence back, scoring at least 20 points per game would already be a big help for the Lakers to improve this season. As we all know, it's always AD and Lebron who's been carrying this team, so they could be tired also, time for players like him to step up to lessen the burden of the two.
Lakers will play tomorrow against the Thunder and it looks like this will be an interesting match because the two teams, if we look at their performance, are almost equal.
But previously, in the last two matches, Thunder experienced different defeats from the Lakers, who in the last two matches still had yesterday victory when they met the Pistons and their defeat when they met the 76ers and this was defeat by very large difference.

There is still hope for the Lakers to win the game against the Thunder tomorrow and we will see if D'Lo is able to have more points and make big contribution to the Lakers.

You gotta bet on the team that you believe will win. If Lakers are to win, you'll be winning with a very attractive moneyline odds.

As per the betting lines now, Lakers is +5.5 which looks very attractive since Lakers having Lebron is a popular team, and although this is a back to back game for them but that was a big win so I'm sure they didn't exert much effort here. On their win against the Pistons, Lebron and AD played less than 30 minutes, so they aren't too exhausted coming to this game against OKC.

I'm liking how the bookies have set up the line as it's almost look like a trap if you don't look at the stats of the OKC.

As for their record against the spread, they are 12-4-1 or 75% average in covering their spread. So either you choose to follow the stats or you follow which is the popular team.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Authorities Are Not Smart Enough to Do This on: November 30, 2023, 09:43:14 AM
It is very unfortunate that the government treated Bitcoin as the reason for increasing illegal activities - scams and fraud. I'd see they are finding ways to prevent the issues but making crypto a huge contributor to this is somewhat not really good. They instead help the community to understand how scam and fraud works in order not to fall into it rather than making crypto an excuse. But for sure, it was not the reason why they are against crypto, their greed seems to be making it as they can no longer make money if people are only using Bitcoin. They will still fail in the end.
