1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 30, 2022, 02:05:35 PM
But unfortunately they got all bashing from their supposed to be fans and people are losing interest to watch every game. We can feel it actually by their attendees also they are not gaining any sympathy towards the action they do because we all know that what's happening there is pure politics and only those big companies are benefiting while the independent ones are suffering. If they cannot change their system maybe for sure we can see the full collapsed of PBA and fans is starting to move on since there is MPBL which is I think the fans favorite at the moment since it represent the city not the company as what I read in the comments in social media.

Let's not let it happen that leads to the collapse of the PBA, it has been popular in the field of basketball here in our country for decades. I really hope that the system going on in the PBA will be fixed early, because sometimes the high-ranking ones get involved in money-for-money.

the quality of each team's game if I compare it back in the 90's is very different from today.

It's not us, it's them, they need to find a way to make this PBA great again. With the numbers of basketball league in the Philippines, I doubt they will stay as king forever if they will not change their old system, no team or team owners should dictate a certain league, and IMO that's what happened with the PBA.

I'm sure they are already alarmed with what is happening, slowly the star players of the PBA are getting recruited outside, so if they will not act, they will be short of star players that would make the league exciting and that would help to represent the country in international games.

Their actions are preventing the players from going abroad to play, that's soo greedy and it does not send a good message to our basketball superstars. Preventing them to grow is a sign of dictatorship, no way they'll listen to that.

Northport is really making noise. Robert Bolick is on fire. If only their import is dominant, I can tell that Northport can beat Bay Area Dragons for their rematch.

But anyways, no rematch as the elimination is a single round-robin. I hope to see them meeting at the post-eliminations.

Just wait until Northport's import Prince Ibeh will be ripe and I see this team might be one of the competitors of SMC and MVP teams in the playoffs.

I'm happy that Bollick is healthy again, he missed plenty of games in the past but he come back strong playing like a real MVP contender.

The quality of Bollick as a player could fit on the demand in the B Leauge, hopefully he will not leave like what Matthew Wright did.
1322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don’t Always Flaunt Your Wealth And Wallet Online on: September 30, 2022, 10:09:22 AM
Showing off one's money and accomplishments has suddenly become socially acceptable. People nowadays, particularly on social media, display their wealth and extravagant luxury.

Doing this attracts hacker and make you become their next target. We'd supposed to keep anonymous if possible and keep our wallets out from the sight of others to avoid interest. I know that they are just proud of their achievements but for now, as hackers are increasing, we have to be cautious enough as this was also for our safety.

As we can see, huge investors and rich people hide on social media because they wanted peace of mind and yes, they wanted space from these hackers.

1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 30, 2022, 08:51:38 AM
Mvp is crazy talk for Westbrook, with Luka, giannis, taytum, ja, jokic, etc etc but I do think he will have a bounce back year.  He is crafty he will figure it out.  Last year was pretty much the worst of it.  He is ultra competitive let's see what kind of summer he had training.  I'd like to see him bounce back.  NBA is always better when teams like the Lakers are competitive.

Aside from the competition, he is not the first option on his team as well. It is hard to stack stats if you are not the first option. He is the third option at best. He can have a bounce-back year but aiming for an MVP is just too much for him to achieve. He is not the prime Westbrook that we used to know.

Lebron still be their number one option and second is Davis so its hard for him to snatch the MVP this season since the ball rotation of lakers is not focus on him. Maybe if he can provide solid numbers to purple and gold plus he will be consistent on number of games played the phase will change then their management will decide to make him a number two option for them. So Westbrook really need to work hard this upcoming season since he have need to prove his worth for second time.

Westbrook will not win as the season MVP as no teammates of Lebron have won a season MVP yet, if Westbrook would be effective, for sure he will not generate the outcome he did during his MVP time with OKC. A big improvement is okay because it will make the team better, who knows, he might win a Finals MVP.
1325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Bitcoin on: September 29, 2022, 11:30:22 AM
i heard a lot over the years about bitcoin mining and i never really considered diving into it, many people talked about it being profitable tho
so what do you guys think about it ? does anyone here have a successful mining story ?? and do you think it's still worth trying on 2022 ??
Don't fall into such earning imagination because I tell you OP that mining is costly, though you can earn profit from it but never expect that you can earn much due to huge mining competition. In fact, many miners didn't survive and quit. And thinking of you as a starter, I hope I was wrong but might this will be your biggest regret in life in your crypto journey?

If you are now currently investing or trading, make it sustainable rather than diving into mining. It was friendly advice that needs your attention before making a final decision.
1326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need some advice on: September 29, 2022, 11:05:00 AM
Due to lots of scams and frauds then its never been recommendable for you to join up those paid groups.Unless if they were free then you could really join up if you wanted to.
Even for free, most of those groups has something for you to take even they don't charge you. And that's your participation to the ads that they might send to their members.
If you think that you're okay with that and that's the benefit that they can only get you in return of earning some good rewards from their signals, it's up to you if you're totally okay with that exchange.
I've got a point about your saying as trust is very important here. It was okay earning a few bucks from trading and following this signal group but I'm not sure how greedy people will think about it as for sure they wanted more and more. These signal groups are certainly looking for greedy people as they can easily manipulate their minds and likely, they are too easy to scam.

It was not wrong to use this platform but because of many negative feedbacks and reviews about these groups, it actually creates worries and not advisable to join with.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to investigate and research new projects ? on: September 28, 2022, 12:58:10 PM
I guess you are convinced about what other members shared about the project you input for research. Almost everyone has the same answer.

This is a good learning point. Now, moving on to your next research.
What if the introduction details perfectly fit what you want to support? What is the next move?
You have to go thru team, partners, and marketing. See to it that they are not lazy and can cover different platforms to announce their project. From social media to forums and streaming advertisements. Don't stop there, go deeper.

It takes more time doing it for new projects and most of the time we got tired of doing it and still likely fall into a scam project that looks promising as we do the research. It was still the best thing to do is to acquire coins or projects that already have a working product and supportive community for this will give a huge impact on the market and possibly a continuous growth and market demand.

And don't encourage to follow people on social media as most of them are misleading.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you think blockchain gaming technology will have evolved by 2030? on: September 28, 2022, 12:27:25 PM
do you believe that blockchain gaming will gain more traction?
That was 8 years from now and it was uncertain. Well, I'm not going it say it was still attractive as many online games are created almost every day. Yet, promoting P2E games seems to be one that hyped crytpo games but I was not sure if this still many gamers will take this after a huge decline of it now. However, I was still positive that this platform will still exist in the crypto world putting games into blockchain technology but yes, we can't assure also that people or gamers will adopt this.
1329  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: September 27, 2022, 01:13:55 PM
I'd say not but this is now necessary and one of our necessities.
I used to work hard in order to earn money but not because I was motivated by doing it. I did this because we can't survive without money and this is also one way to get what we want and satisfies ourselves.

It is to consider now that money could manipulate someone but not in a way it motivates him to work. It was just because there is something that person wanted to get or reach which pushed him/her to work hard.
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum drop gets me worried. on: September 27, 2022, 12:06:30 PM
I'm not expecting too much in the merge, people know what might happen and everyone seems to expect that prices will soar up. I have some ethereum right now but I honestly don't expect too much in the merge to affect the ETH price immediatly, Just like bitcoin halving, the effect might come sooner or later. I'm also holding my ETH for the future, selling at low price will be an immediate loss.
This should be the thinking of many, I don’t know why many are expecting that much where it fact, we cannot see the result of the merge days after that, it usually take time. With the current situation of market we cannot expect ETH to rise, let’s just see this price level as an opportunity to accumulate because ETH is still a good coin and it will pump once the market enters the bull market, for now let’s wait for that patiently.
Those investors that can wait have to be paid off later. Though the merge hasn't given positive results. Yes, this couldn't make ETH lose its market potential as its still remains just like before. I was buying ETH and I was still holding it believing that this never disappoints me 2-3 years from now as the bull season comes.

If I were the OP, I have to keep my faith with ETH because for many crises and market dumps, we still see this project surviving and even growing high together with Bitcoin.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 27, 2022, 09:42:52 AM
And if you guys remember last season, when Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are having their respective recovery periods because of their injuries, the Clippers show they can still win despite the absence of their superstars. They are having a good run without their superstars.

It does mean that the Clippers are having good support from their role players. Hopefully, they will be a fully healthy team this season to increase more the competition in the Western Conference.
It was one of the good teams as usual but unexpected injuries really come and that's making them like lessened in the court.

But as you have said, it is true that despite with those injuries from their main players, they still have role players that would be able to rely on.

They are scarier this season because they are fully healthy, the good thing with the Clippers is their 2nd unit can match the 1st unit of the other team, and the starters will surely not be forced to play heavy minutes because they have a good 2nd unit. Kawhi, hopefully he will stay healthy so we will again see him in the playoffs.

Guaranteed to fill the Mall of Asia Arena again, let's expect the match between Converge and Ginebra to be another intense battle in the middle of the game between these two teams.
Wait, I think we have Ginebra vs Rain or Shine tomorrow, so no Converge yet.
You can see on the schedule of the game. - https://pba.ph/

I like Ginebra is good but i I like to see how ROS will play, they lose their first game if IIRC, so they need to bounce back strong.
1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: September 26, 2022, 01:04:49 PM
First, is it official already?

Since this is boxing, well, I guess I have to go with Jake Paul here.

The odds still says that Anderson silva will likely win, however, since it's just an exhibition fight, I would bet on the undefeated and the most popular in this sport.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 26, 2022, 12:13:07 PM
We have been speculating that if Loma wins this fight, and Haney wins the same, it will be both of them fighting next. But recent news surfaces that this might not be the case, as Haney could move to 140 lbs.
Oops, so it's not gonna happen in case Haney will move, well at least we can still see a big fight by Loma if the post below would come into reality.

Quote
And with Top Rank has the luxury at their stables this 135 lbs champion, then I reckon that we might see Shakur stepping in to fight Loma next. That's going to be crazy as he will have the first crack to become a unified champion in a new weight class but it won't be that easy because it's going to be Loma. So let's see how it goes, this is just speculation though.

I know Shakur is great, I think Loma has a bigger chance of beating him that fighting Haney which is more clever IMO.
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: regulating cryptocurrency on: September 26, 2022, 09:27:52 AM
Why are many governments not regulating cryptocurrency?
But what is the purpose of having it regulated? Because if the reason is just to stop fraud and scams, that eventually was not effective for these scammers will still find a way. The government makes no reason for doing this for now and it was also because people are more comfortable with the decentralized market, no regulations, no taxes, and much more they wanted to remain anonymous.
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is right time for investment ? on: September 23, 2022, 11:41:27 AM
meme coins are tempting. it's just that not everything goes smoothly. if meme coins are created cheap of course it will make big profit because purchasing with small amount of real money get a lot of coins , small digit increase can make big profit. but they can't be found in all projects.

If we pay attention to most new projects are coins, everything looks tempting because of the maximum pump, the latest and often becomes the current trend of course is Saudi Shiba, I have bought and profit more than 300% in a short time or less than a month, and now position Shiba dropped and I'm not sure if I can get up again.
You just screwed up after believing that Shiba will continue to pump. It sometimes going to happen that we miss looking at the current situation (bearish) and are tempted by the hype thinking that this will be the answer to our dreams to get rich. No, it was not what we were supposed to do but instead, consider this as a factor that we need to be more careful buying coins in hypes for possibly it was just a trap. So many investors ( new investors) become victims to this and not to wonder also greedy people will fall into this trick.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 23, 2022, 11:00:05 AM
Junemar is no doubt the best player in the PBA, but now, he has a bigger opponent, I think younger than him and maybe stronger than him, I don't want to speculate so much as I think he will give this giant a good challenge, and who knows, SMB might bet this good team.

Not a fan of PBA, but yeah I've heard of the Chinese giant guest team participating in the Philippine basketball league. This will literally give the PBA teams the chance to improve themselves as they have been restricting heights from the imports. No wonder good players were leaving the league and play overseas, because it can give them better career, league opponents, and high salary of course compared to PBA.
It feels like when you're in the PBA and you dominate the league, then that's your limit you don't necessary need to improve yourself. I can see the same teams competing in the finals every year.

The number reason is the high salary, the better competitiveness is only the 2nd because PBA is very competitive as well. Well, this guess team is just very dominant, they beat the Blackwater the other day with a huge margin, they really look good, so let's see if they can do it again.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 23, 2022, 09:03:19 AM
He is Liu Chuanxing, 7 foot 5 inches in height and he is there to make the life of June Mar miserable. Cheesy

I do not think June Mar can totally stop this guy alone if he decides to impose his dominance in the paint. June mar will need help from his teammates to be able to stop this guy. Luckily, basketball is a team sport so June Mar will not have to do it alone.

That would be a great matchup and for sure many fans are going too watch that when our very own Junemar Fajardo battles Liu Chuanxing. Offensively, Junemar will most likely struggle against this giant as we all know that he had problems operating inside the paint when his guard is taller than him, we have seen that when he is up against Slaughter but it is very interesting how he will adjust.

I do agree, it will be a big test for JunMar to play against the giant. Not just him to be fair though, every team will be a nightmare match up for this behemoth.

But we will see how good JunMar really is, if he can score at low post or battle him out in the boards. And if will just show how our locals will do because we haven't seen someone as big as Liu in our league.

Junemar is no doubt the best player in the PBA, but now, he has a bigger opponent, I think younger than him and maybe stronger than him, I don't want to speculate so much as I think he will give this giant a good challenge, and who knows, SMB might bet this good team.
1339  Economy / Speculation / Re: do u think the BTC bottom is in...? on: September 22, 2022, 11:04:28 PM
my personal opinion is that the bottom is in and the next bull market are going to be nothing short of game changing.

No one can know for sure. This could very well be a dead cat jump. Maybe the real crash hasn't happened yet. That's what Michael Burry (The Big Bear) says at least. Either way it is always the same. Up, down, sideways.

Some claim they've seen it going backwards too but I've never experienced it. I think it is ridiculous. How the fuck markets could go backwards? It is against the physics.
I don’t think we’ve already reached the bitcoin bottom, and I guess no one will know if its already happening. Afaik, I won’t be bothered and panic once it happens as I’ve done securing my assets through DCAing throughout this whole bear market. And let’s say the bottom is in, for sure it will always recover and bitcoin will surge again for its new all time high.
It drops normally as we are still in the bear season but naturally, we also see recovery after the dump. So, there is nothing we have to worry about and to panic about but instead, we take this time to buy more.

As I recall the past bear season, I could really imagine that was the hardest life in crypto, in fact, the majority had thought it was the end of Bitcoin and many are leaving. And if we compared it now, ohhh, the price is still high. That is why I don't bother myself also to think about the bottom price for we don't know exactly.
1340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I feel about play to earn games on: September 22, 2022, 10:34:49 PM
The game should be quite addictive, and it's true. If people feel comfortable playing the game and can't quit easily, they won't consider the payouts or prizes the game can get because it's a bonus. But if someone sees an opportunity to get a prize from the game, they will be eager to try to get as many prizes as possible, making them chase it relentlessly. So it will depend on how people play that one game, how they can enjoy it, and their goals for playing that game.
They will stay if they won't consider earning prizes as their goal from doing this. But as I see, P2E games gain interest from the community even if it was not a gamer because they know that it gives them some money while spending their playing which is an absolute reason. But as the market turn bearish where major P2E gaming sites offer fewer rewards, many gamers had stop and turns out that many of these platforms had also stopped as well.
It found not addictive for me, unlike casinos.
