1341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Things to keep in mind before accumulation of Bitcoin on: September 21, 2022, 11:32:37 PM
I am not saying that we shouldn't accumulate, but if you are accumulating without a goal you are going to end up losing a lot of money. Some people accumulate and then sell too quickly, some people do and sell too late, never sell it at anything but either your retirement and have enough, or at the top.
Not only did we learn how to buy low and sell high, but also it was very important to know how to hold. And sadly, I'd found it not easy especially if we are too emotional which mostly changes the course of our plan, and ended up selling at loss.
Quote
If it reaches at the top of that cycle and you sell there, you could either spend that money or you could retire, also if you sell at a price where it is enough for you to never work again, that is a good reason as well. These are of course my two goals and I will sell only when this happens, but you could have something else in our mind that you would be willing to sell for.
A long-term investment is ideal for now knowing that we are struggling in the bear condition. Those who can manage to hold can really achieve their goal.
I also accumulated some and I keep DCAing in preparation for the upcoming halving, and I believe this won't disappoint me in the end.
1342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach 45k before this year ends. on: September 21, 2022, 12:34:43 PM
It would be nice if we could see $45K again this year, but I don't believe in it. My prediction is that we will see a maximum price of 20k$ by the end of the year. That's my positive guess. My negative estimate is a price between 13k$ and 16k$. There are just too many problems in the world right now and that's bad for the price. We're in a bear market and I'm not expecting high prices. The bear market will certainly continue for some time.
It would have to be a miracle for bitcoin to reach $45k again this year, in my opinion. Let's see if I'm right with my assessment.  Wink
The bear season is expected to stay long like what happened in the previous bear market.
So many predictions arise that this year the price of Bitcoin will keep low and I tend to agree with that. I'd see $25-$30k is quite possible but never did I expect that much.

Honestly, we have no clue what will happen a few months from now nor we are able to say that the same scenario we will witness this year like 2018-2020 bear season, it was uncertain.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 21, 2022, 10:48:56 AM

Overall, the Commissioners' Cup will start today, and I don't know if I will be excited to watch games because of these "Fair and Balanced" trades that are happening (a bit of sarcasm on it). The joke is on point that it made me laugh though and starting today, I will call Comm. Willie "Puppet" because that's what he really is.

Thanks for reminding, I didn't notice that the Commissioners' Cup will start today, and it's really true as I verified, almost miss betting on the first game. Well, what can you say, PBA is never balanced, the big team owners will always take the edge since other teams are just farm teams.

Right, so I might have to pass with this games in the beginning, just want to see what will happen.

But obviously as you pointed out the league has somewhat very controversial because the teams are not equally as balance as it had been for years. And perhaps this is one reason why the PBA is losing so much in terms of viewership as compare to it's previous years wherein everyone was glued to their television. Now it's more of people watching because of the "ending" bet.  Grin

I don't know the imports actually but I said to myself I will not pass the first game, so I put my bet. By the way, I'm rooting for the Northport to win, I also have a small bet on them after the first half, let's see if they will get their first win, they are the underdog here.

1345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: September 20, 2022, 11:42:32 AM
I agree that newbies should have basic knowledge about investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general before jumping in. After that, they need to find a mentor or interact in a group discussion or forum to help them get used to both the written and unwritten rules regarding the crypto world. It's not so they can be dependant with other's opinion, but to shape their own skills in analyzing, take decision etc.  I think most of us learn about the depth of the crypto world by experiencing it ourselves or learning from others' mistakes so it's important to mingle with crypto communities too. All of these knowledge and experiences cognitively and emotionally will shape our mentality. For me, it's not about mentally prepared or not but more like maturity along the journey
Tried to be more independent and make a decision solely in order for us to grow and be well-prepared. Because at the moment that we rely on others, the more we think relying on others will work great but the truth is that trusting ourselves makes us even better and it will also help us to improve especially in decision-making.

I was sure that not all who start crypto investment are totally knowledgeable as they just learn many things as they expose to the market and experience.
Mentally prepared? I already that I may lose and earn some money in this area.

I will translate this, A.Chua said we want Malonzo. Com. Marcial said, sure boss all yours. Papers are on the table all sets and good to go!

Nice translation and that will probably happen very soon.

Well, PBA league is losing its popularity already, players are leaving, so I'm pretty sure they will find a way to make it popular again. I'm hoping that they will make big changes and that they would listen to the fans to give way to more teams joining the PBA.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 20, 2022, 10:32:00 AM
Naoya Inoue is now closer to becoming an undisputed bantamweight champion. What do you think guys, will he move up now to the featherweight division after that, or he will stay as bantamweight to accept more challenges here?

For me, he should moved up.

After dominating every single opponent in his current weight division, he should move up and continue climbing to the top because a boxer like him is very rare nowadays and it's really a rare scene to see someone winning his fight one after another to become undisputed and he is not just winning, he is knocking his opponent as if they were nothing but a punching bag for him. Just look at what he did to Donaire in their last fight. It's really nice to see he will beat his opponents in the upper-weight class like that.

If he really wants to achieve greatness, there's no reason for him to stay at bantamweight where he already won the undisputed championship (in case he will win), new division, better challenges and if he still succeed, that will make him more popular and will become one of the greatest boxers in the world.
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: trading strategies how to turn 50$ into 100k$ in a month ? on: September 20, 2022, 10:22:51 AM
hello I have seen the best profits to be made are in projects like shiba inu before it became huge or currently on BSC and ETH chain on new projects.

There have been People who with the help of bnb chain even turned 50$ into 150k$ in a months time.
Making $500 to $100k in a month is a big challenge and almost impossible. But anything is possible in cryptocurrency and this has been proven by many coins in the past like shiba inu , TWT Token , DOGE coin. and some others. But it doesn't happen very easily, suddenly something like this miracle happens but it depends on everyone's luck and not everyone is able to get such profit.
I have to agree that it was possible but we also have to consider the situation as this bear season wasn't the right time to think about it as it surely not to achieve. Maybe this can be realized during the bull season but that is literally a huge challenge since it was just $500 and I say it was just a small amount to think about earning $150k monthly. I could be amazed if someone could do it and challenge himself.
1349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Opened another business were I accept Bitcoin on: September 19, 2022, 10:45:23 PM
It's good having a business in a region where the economy isn't working. Your doing yourself and the people a favour. Unfortunately, bitcoin might not be an acceptable currency in the region and having you to accept them, I hope it won't bring you some admiration from government officials.

It is a huge step to be accepting bitcoin directly as, its got issues with confirmation time and fees not to mention the rates and you too still get to charge for the transaction. That seems so much to bear in just a single withdrawal and not a purchase.
Although, it is an offering of a needed service right.

You just use card in your dealings.
In that case, making a business certainly will never grow but if it fails, he'd rather accept fiat instead.
Running a business should be planned so well, likely accepting Bitcoin in a place where it was illegal and no users, you can really imagine who gonna buy you stuff with Bitcoin - of course, nothing.

I think OP must-have reviewed the place where he runs a business accepting Bitcoin. If that is only an option while still accepting fiat, that is still fine.
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Well! Bitcoin doesn't have this problem on: September 16, 2022, 08:29:25 AM
For how long should people understand the importance to have bitcoins for emergencies such as this one?

They found it once they change their mind and stop from thinking it was a scam and useless stuff. Because as long as they are in that negative mindset, nothing will be able to see but all of the negative views of Bitcoin. However, I'd see no reason why we have to urge people from adopting this new form of the payment system as it was the first for them to learn it and give value to this new creation. I have no clue what is really in their mind but for sure, the doubts and worries make them afraid to try.
1351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So the ETH merge has finally happened on: September 16, 2022, 07:58:02 AM
I'm not sure if this is the result of panic selling or the merge itself...

It was to see a huge decline after a few hours from the said merge. I actually can't imagine seeing this but I have to accept the mental impact of this thing making people too worried and dump their Ethereum to protect from losing. The FUDs are quietly winning this time, the bad influence makes a terrible drop in its price.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Terra Classic recovered? on: September 15, 2022, 01:22:34 PM
I see that people and Terra Classic's investors are hoping for the best and earning a profit from their investment. I understand how they respond to the situation and are hopeless about what they have heard in the past few days. But as this recent time when its price moves a little bit high, it obviously gives them some hope. However, we don't let our emotions overwhelm us but take action cautiously and do selling if possible cause I'd never see any assurance from this project to keep alive for many years.
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 15, 2022, 03:59:09 AM

No matter how I would want to make it look like a fair fight, the judges will most likely be on Canelo's side again.

I'm pretty sure GGG knows that, therefore, I believe that he will try his best to win by KO/TKO, that way judges' decision is not necessary anymore. It's gonna be a war, GGG trying to win this trilogy while Canelo will try to have an impressive win so people will forget about how he lost to Bivol.

Yes, this could really be a war, both camps are saying that they don't want to have the judges influence the outcome of the fight. And then we are hearing predictions that either of this two wanted to score a KO/TKO to end their trilogy fight.
GGG expressed that he is thinking of retiring, so this might be one of his biggest fight wherein he wanted to end his career at least beating Canelo. On the other hand, Canelo looks very confident also, his fans cheering his name he wants to erase his lost to Bivol.

Great, that would result in an entertaining fight because both are willing to give everything they have in this fight. GGG will surely give everything, it could be his last fight, and if he wins, that's another big success in his career in boxing. I think GGG or Canelo by KO win has an attractive odds.

I've missed the whole thing about the news that the SBP was in the Senate for a hearing.
Have you seen this news guys? So, this is about the Gilas and PBA concerns.

Actually we cannot expect to win in the international competition due to lack of chemistry, our players are getting offers from overseas with a high salary. What is happening here is that PBA has now become a farm team for overseas teams, sad, but that's the reality.
I can't blame those players that are being scouted by other leagues like B League because they're compensating well and the politics on the PBA is too much.
When Sen. Bong Go asked Kume to stop the PBA to give way for the pool of Gilas and players. Kume just answered that the team owners will be angry at him and he might lose his position as the commissioner. No love really for the national team.

Not a good excuse, it only says that he is controlled by the team owners, yes, no love for our country as they cannot sacrifice for the country. Fans are not loving the action of the PBA, this league will become more boring if no changes will be made for improvement.
1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana be the next Ethereum??? on: September 14, 2022, 12:07:29 PM
Solana's blockchain network is one of the best besides ethereum so it's only natural that many investors make this coin their favorite. in the solana network also they are always professional in their work, in fact we can see many projects being accommodated by the solana network successfully, even if it is just a token meme.
However, despite the success that Solan has, many people will still think that Ethereum will remain standing in the long run. Ethereum remains at the top among altcoins and it influences the market view and also investor's mindset as well. In some other way that Solana will get close to Ethereum and the community might embrace these changes but their faith will remain high in Ethereum.
Anyways, we have different coins preferred for investment but what is important is that we gain profit and reach our goal.
1356  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 14, 2022, 11:12:10 AM
I think I generally define success with achieving great things and making money over those achievements. I never believed money alone is achievement. You could have 10000 Bitcoin but you may be overweight and can't move so money buys you nearly nothing unless you lose weight.
I love popularity/fame honestly because it brings you more and more women but it must be accepted that women are also not the most important thing in life. Most important thing is to achieve yourself and feel happy about it.
And it was important that we are too thankful for what we get even though it was just a small achievement in life. It is just to say that not all of us make things like this, some are hopeless and remain dreaming. So whatever we want in life, money/riches, popularity, all of these comes by working hard and of course, we are motivated to do it. Because success is a reward for what we did and it comes momentarily.

1358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 14, 2022, 08:51:38 AM
I believe Inoue can win a title in super-bantamweight. The featherweight division would likely become his limit due to his size and his age. Mid 30's athletes' bodies will change some slowly while others are quick to catch up. Inoue at over 33 years old will lose some of his quickness and strength. He may continue to become a champion like Usyk, Crawford, GGG, and Beterbiev because these people are extraordinary but that doesn't mean they didn't depreciate.

Nice explanation, he is not anymore a young boxer, so there's always a limitation once the boxer will age. Unless Inoue will continue to climb after winning a championship which is possible but unlikely to happen. He maybe a star now, but at with the same age as Pacman, Pacman has more achievements than him.
It's really hard to compare the two, I guess it's a combination of Pacman's uniqueness and Arum careful match making that he achieved so much in short amount of time.

But Inoue can still make his name and will probably can go at high 126-130 but it will be very difficult for him, facing natural fighters at that weight division.

We know how good Arum in terms of milking his money making fighter,

but I can say that Inoue has the caliber that really brings him to standout on his division, and in terms of moving up to another weight with his fighting skills and his dedication to keep enhancing, the chance of winning is very possible for him.

Butler's name got credentials, but witnessing how Inoue put down Donaire, we can assume that it will be another KO win for Inoue.

We can't blame him, that's how clever he is, the reason why he is so successful as a promoter. If Inoue wants his decision not to be affected, then he has to make his own promotion like other boxers who part ways with Arum.
1359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That's why I really like bitcoin :) on: September 13, 2022, 12:34:21 PM
There are very few people who don't like Bitcoin these days. Because when you invest, the amount of wealth increases, that wealth is saved and in original way you will understand that Bitcoin is a priceless asset. Although many of you have moved from gold trading to bitcoin investing and the benefits are doubling. Trust yourself when you engage in such activities continues to gain and it has become widely popular. Bitcoin is a well-known coin

Honestly I don't really care about how people value bitcoin, whether positive or negative, at least everyone is not too subject to the current reality, and in the crypto world there are no rules and are free to own it without being regulated by their government, because that's a lot of people who switch to digital assets, where they can store their assets as they please, so don't be surprised by the growth of bitcoin every year, and it will continue to grow over time...
You have noticed the changes and people are adapting to new technology which is more preferred than fiat money especially if we are too busy in life that has limited time to go to the bank. It means that this idea has been welcome in the community and more people are able to move their assets into digital currencies like Bitcoin. It is to see that Bitcoin gives a huge change in the community in regards to their lifestyle and of course, an opportunity to make investments.
1360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: September 13, 2022, 11:42:34 AM

Selling ETH is too risky as it is unlikely that it will be dumped afterward, it will most likely bounce and be at a higher price than it is now. It's all speculation, nothing is certain it will happen.
I'd never say it was risky but selling our Ethereum is literally a wrong decision. We haven't any clue yet how this fork will affect the price of ETH but for me, this never has a huge impact on it. The FUDs seem it was spreading making some investors to felt worried about the incoming merge and likely thinking negatively. And this will affect mentally, especially those who still live in doubt about the capability of ETH and beginners.
But anyways, I let people/investors make their decision to sell and also for them to know more about Ethereum.
