Is it any wonder that he's singing the tune that supports his chosen team? The fact is that, if I remember correctly, he's a big pusher of gold paper. Not physical gold, but paper that says you have some interest in gold. Gold is sliding and his butt's a puckerin' because he's been pushing that paper for a long time.
The fact is that the 1% can jump in on Bitcoin at any time (and many probably already have) so he can say what ever he wants (or what ever he's being paid to say). His clients are still going to have their own brains and can tell the difference between a useable currency and something that sits burried in basements and vaults for that day when the SHTF and they suddenly realize that gold sucks as a currency. When the SHTF in reality, medicine, munitions and munchies will be more valuable than gold. But, in the mean time, a lot of people will get ripped off by these pitch men and their 'mainstream platforms'. (Remember how hard Glenn Beck was pitching gold on his show? Yeah, that turned out to be a company that was ripping off little old ladies. Something you really can't do with bitcoin.)
Bitcoin goes mainstream. Bitcoin readily available to everybody with a smartphone. <don't get ahead of me> Church accepts tithes via bitcoins. Churches asks congregation for suggestions for a fund raising event. Little old ladies suggest Bingo. Bingo it is. Then the Bitcoins-Accepted-Here gold plated plate is passed from pew to pew. This thread was inspired by another having a similar title. We seriously should tax all miners to save the planet. Do you realize how much resources, e.g. silicon sand and water, it takes to build bitcoin miners, not to mention the extraction from the Earth for all those resistors, capacitors and diodes, possibly from third world countries exploiting the poor with its cheap labor. Colonel in the US Army, and lived in Huntsville, AL, then Tennessee, he was just taken off life-support after being pumped with morphine (seriously). He's 70, six years younger than my dad, his brother. He and my dad married sisters, with Helmut divorcing and my mom passed at the age of 39 in '81.
No need to give condolences, for such is life, just like probably soon little brother'll be dead due to him coughing up foul-smelling white matter from his lungs(?) on a regular basis, chances are brought on via doing stuff that'll make Dank say, "No way would I do that shit, let alone that amount."

A really big FU batch 1 customers if they're shipping batch 2, considering I haven't heard a peep about my Batch 1 order that was in the first 125 BabyJet's ordered and have not had any reply to my emails and calls about it in 10 days trying to get information on it.
They've also gone completely unresponsive to me and are ignoring all attempts at communication. That's a shame, gmax, for this used to be my favorite thread.
