401  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally!!!!! on: June 19, 2012, 07:06:28 PM
To continue this rally all we need is another high above 6.6$.

GO GO GO !!!

You first.

Yeah, Im all in already. Just waitin for you!

I've been all in for a few months now, and over the past few weeks I've been buying modest sums fairly regularly on the exchanges.  20BTC here, 40BTC there.  I'll probably pick up another 40-50 or so this week sometime.

That's how David Morgan and others suggest to buy silver. Silver is comparable to bitcoin, because it's scarce commodity with a highly volatile market (that is being "manipulated", whatever that means). I think buying some at regular intervals can be a good acquisition strategy.

Dollar cost averaging FTW !
402  Other / Off-topic / Re: Butterfly Labs - Bitforce Single and Mini Rig Box on: June 19, 2012, 07:06:03 PM
Sorry for my ignorance but has ANYONE received a mini rig in the wild ?

I saw gigavps posted pictures of them in BFL office but I need to see one in somebody's home to believe it.
403  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Xeon Phi on: June 19, 2012, 07:02:44 PM
so that's what it would look like if Intel made a GPU Smiley

F'n sexy!
Yeah I love the industrial metal look without all the plastic.

Helps heat dissipation too  Wink This is not crappy AMD card with plastic cover  Cheesy

You do realize thats an air channel, right?

Hot air channel will heat up top metal cover by convection ( hot air rises ) and conduction and the metal will get hot up there.

Even the plastic on my AMD cards is quite hot to the touch and not normal room temp. even if it does not conduct heat as well as metal

Ur an idiot.

What an insightful post. Buy one of these and show me that the metal case is not hotter than room temperature then call me an idiot.

Until then you are a fool ... metal will surely be hot and help with heat dissipation.
404  Other / Off-topic / Re: Butterfly Labs ASIC Gear Potential on: June 19, 2012, 06:43:41 PM
Do you think that BFL will conduct mining operations themselves before releasing this gear (other then testing) Did they do (are they doing this) with their present gear?

They burn in their minirigs, which to be fair, is what youd expect anyway. You know, testing. But its not done on testnet.
Now their current hardware doesnt have a significant impact on the network, but these asics will change that. Whether or not they will mine for profit; who knows? But they sure wont tell you if they do. Nor will they tell you who gets those rigs first.

It is simple mate : the one who puts the most money at the earliest moment gets to be the first.

Think gigavps or Inaba or other fanboys.

Who hands over the most money right now wins the game !

407  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: F/S 20 Bitforce singles for immediate delivery. $799 in BTC + shipping on: June 19, 2012, 06:20:23 PM
Nice $200 markup mate !

You have to consider the opportunity cost in waiting. For one thing, BFL is saying that they aren't working on any more Single orders to focus on the Rig deliveries, so you could order from them and hope to get it in 3 months.

I like it. A cool $4000 profit for doing absolutely nothing.

Can you make a GLBSE thing so we can invest ?

Also, worth mentioning that BFL tradein works even if you are not the original buyer, so more power to you Fjordbit.

Where are you located for shipping costs !

Hope you get rich !

I hope you all find this interesting: NPW 5.1 p2Pool - bad luck or flawed?

Let me know if I've made any egregious errors in how I've described how p2Pool works.

Nice work. You gotta tell us mate : what do you do for a living ?

You are a freaking GENIUS ! Where did you learn all that stuff Huh
410  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] OpenBitASIC : The Open Source Bitcoin ASIC Initiative on: June 19, 2012, 04:06:35 PM
They actually said "LATE October". I'm pretty sure that means AT BEST a November delivery date - that's if everything goes according to plan. Which I'm pretty sure won't. So late November/December wouldn't be too far-fetched as an estimated delivery date.

Also, keep in mind, the specs could be different than what they announced.

I would be more inclined to believe it means they will be announcing pre-orders at that time. At this point in time their product exists only on software design. And yea, no way to verify specs until they get their first prototype which will likely be some time clsoe to Oct/Nov.

Gusti, did you get a chance to look at the link that Bulana posted for Easic? http://www.easic.com/press-releases/easic-announces-easicopy-asic/

Yeah. Thanks for posting that link again.

Seems I am so ignored nobody in the whole forum reads anything I post anymore.

Maybe I should just stop posting Cry

Does anyone think they are using easic.com Huh
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone know what happened to knightmb and his 371,000 BTC? on: June 19, 2012, 04:02:36 PM
That's a nice attempt.
Either way, I'm keeping my BTC in several secure places and the wallet files I'll make sure never touch my PC for security reasons. I look at it as a retirement fund, when I finally get tired of working the 9 to 5 grind, I can tell my boss to shove it with a smile  Grin
"Just kidding; I donated it all to Wikileaks" isn't going to hold, although I do see why you would want to get all that heat off your back.

Yeah, I find it very hard to believe that he gave up that much money.

Exactly ! This story is BS and this guy is just waiting to cash out when we reach $10 in Dec.

Hope I do it before him, though !

Like he said before, it's his retirement funding. He's too smart to sell it for a measly $10 in crappy fiat this year.

Retirement funding ?

371 000 * 10 = 3 710 000 USD would suit 3 retirements for a normal human lifetime ! Is this guy a shapeshifting alien that is going to live 300 years ?
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ASIC mining lead to litecoin or namecoin adoption ? on: June 19, 2012, 02:02:00 PM
I have been buying up LTC on the speculation that GPU rigs will start mining litecoin once ASICs increase the difficulty of BTC.

HOLY MOLY !

I think you might be onto something here mate !!!

Thanks for the tip !

414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: June 19, 2012, 01:30:44 PM
I really do hope that the idiot Luke-JR does not attack Litecoin because ATM is really is the only alternative to BTC Cry
why should he do that?
and how?

He killed CLC altchain and hates all crypto except BTC.

He says he intents to use the DDOS vulnerability in BTC on LTC chain !

i dont think he can lay litecoin down..

well, if someone else have a botnet or like that, they just attack him then..

Where are you bigcpuminer ( 10 000 PC botnet owner ) Huh
botnet is not the problem, more to get his info if it is... bit still i dont think it happens..

IMHO if he attacks LTC then somebody should DDOS the crap out of Eligius pool ...

I understood when he attack the CLC scam but LTC is actually good chain. Not like SC or IXC or IOC crap ...

Tried an over clock to 913MHz core clock and 1100mV, VRM's at 100C and GPU's at 75 with fan@~90% (loud...).

Been stable for half an hour so far, and still running, we'll see...

All of this overclocking on 5970 is a great way to kill your card.

BUT keep going, less difficulty for moi !

Don't mind AMD and them stupidly making undervolt because you know better, right ?

Look at above poster showing how his cards died, hope yours do the same !
419  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BFL and the law. on: June 19, 2012, 12:47:11 PM
Question of the day:  Who's going to head the lawsuit against BFL?

Obviously not you, since you don't have the balls to come up with some proof. Secondhand, my ass.

ignore rjk, he just trolls for BFL.
Ignore mem, he is retarded, just like galambo. Are they the same person?

In case you have not noticed, they are my sockies Kiss
