Oh wow I sow a few posts before you're even sponsoring a team! That's amazing!

Personally I have absolutely no idea about sports, maybe eSports but not sports!
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: July 01, 2019, 07:53:04 AM
obviously $569

Wrong thread mate? If XRP would go there it'd bring the world as we know it to an end!!
That's 1500 times above our current price! Oh how cool it'd be, investing 1000€ and receiving 1.5 million!
403  Economy / Gambling / Re: BETKING: 500 BTC, 2250 ETH & 425 LTC Bankroll Lies on: July 01, 2019, 07:39:38 AM
And it's made to look like people are using Betking (https://betking.io/) but I'm sure that it's not! It's just 5 or 6 names being scrolled in a steady pace with random numbers that are mostly green... like there's any casino which 90% of its customers' are winners!
Scrap that... it's showing about 99% of the players having profit!

That's indeed an obvious scam, only a little effort was put to cover it! I mean, they could have put a javascript file that would locally spit random names and values, but when I tried to disable my internet to see if it'd keep updating it surprisingly stopped updating! I then tried to use my phone and in both screens there were the same results, so at least they've build an automatic system in their server for this purpose! Grin

On the other hand, because I want to be fair... There's a chance that the system is coded to only showing the winning outcomes and a few loses by time to time.

But even if it's not a fake feed, calling it "Recent bets" when in fact it's "Recent wining bets" is still wrong.
404  Economy / Gambling / Re: Making money promoting 6 casinos under only 1 program on: June 30, 2019, 08:40:10 PM
Just went to IGG cash to satisfy my curiosity and the entire website is in Russian, so is the casino names mostly it seems. Not trying to discriminate but if it's not in English it's going to be very hard to market.

Also, I checked out 1 casino: Bitcoinplay. Mainly slots. Also a lot of Russian text... and most important of all, no provably fair gaming. Bitcoin/crypto gambling you MUST have this minimum requirement!

Still a lot of untranslated Russian after so many months I see... I didn't have the best of experiences in the past with Russian projects.
Is it so uncommon for Russian people to write in English by the way? I don't get it...
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: June 30, 2019, 08:37:13 PM
Too much positivity here....

I'm not sure if your being sarcastic or not! I see a lot of posts from people I've muted, I suppose those are FUDing like crazy?
Personally I'm mostly positive, a bit worried about if people can see the things the way I do, but mostly positive.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play poker to train trading on: June 30, 2019, 01:58:23 PM
Why poker? This gambling game is far from what trading is like.
Sure, there are people who consider even trading to be gambling, but poker requires is about calculating odds based on the info you slowly receive, reading your opponents and outsmarting them.
Trading is about product research, market research, timing and evaluation.

Totally different things.

408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: June 30, 2019, 01:33:47 PM
A interesting article for those holding onto XRP:
XRP, Libra and Visa to Fight It Out for Cross-Border Remittance Crown

https://cointelegraph.com/news/xrp-libra-and-visa-to-fight-it-out-for-cross-border-remittance-crown

Basically, Ripple is miles ahaid with a software ecosystem built for companies and big collaborations like with MoneyGram.
Facebook is more known to public, but it has to do a lot of work in their backend since they're entering the space much later. Their name alone on the other hand will open doors easier than in Ripple's case.

In any case, right now XRP looks like it's going to be mainly used by companies (and end-users will benefit from XRP without knowing it's used in the backend) and Libra will be for mainstream users to play with through Facebook's games and chats.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Now I know why eSports prize pools go over millions of dollars! on: June 29, 2019, 10:18:11 PM
In my country, the most famous sport is soccer / football, yet I never get myself to like it.
I find eSports on the other hand more entertaining and interesting. There's also a lot of variety!
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: June 28, 2019, 12:21:15 PM
Let's see... I believe there will be one more push in Bitcoin before people realise Bitcoin can't reach 90% dominance, then it'll be the time for altcoins to shine and usually nothing compares to XRP in the altcoin bullruns!

I know it sucks to see Bitcoin moving and XRP standing still on its average, but what is worse than that is being in XRP while BTC rises and being in BTC while XRP rises!
411  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: June 28, 2019, 12:16:25 PM
Oh do you remember this exchange with many exotic altcoins available to sell after mining them?
What was its name.... hm.... Shitopia? no-no-no, wait... I've got it... oh! Cryptopia!

I kinda miss them!
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: June 28, 2019, 12:12:43 PM
Usually I just watch this thread but the fact that Ark dropped out of the top 100 recently made me want to drop a few lines here. For me the problem with Ark is that it is so far off its original plans right now. People initially invested on Ark for the features it initially promised to bring but the team seem to have taken a large detour to get there. I feel that it will take them one to three years of Ark core versions to go back to the original plans : interoperability, IPFS, NFC, Smart Card, ArkVM. Other original plan elements (IPDB, anonymous transactions) seem to have been scrapped or set aside without it being clearly stated by the team. ArkVM is morphing into ArkLogic in the latest whitepaper. Also Ark has not had any major partnership despite FX Thoorens' ties to members of the French government. Those partnerships with big companies or governments are oftenly what puts altcoins on the map. Another point : Ark arrived in early 2017 in the crypto sphere, that's pretty late (first mover advantage seem to be really important in the crypto sphere). Even despite the Roadmap it's not quite clear in which order and when the team intends to bring this and that feature. I do want to say however that the team has kept on delevering new things and advancements steadily and that Ark is undervalued.

NFC and Smart Cards are hardware-related features, aren't they? Had ARK initially promised to develop those systems? I hadn't heard of them.

Personally I'm here for ARKvm or ARK-Logic as it's now known. And I'm happy with the new way they approach this, they'll allow each DAPP blockchain that uses their smart-contracts-like platform to run their own sidechain. This way there won't be a case where a new start up gets famous and the spike in transactions volume affects every other application in the chain.
The ARKvm system will also give more control to developers.
They're also keeping to their promise to develop plugins that will allow developers to easily build their blockchain without having to code it.

All those features are missing from the Ethereum blockchain and for a developer like me are very convincing to make me choose ARK for a game.
I find their development speed slow, but if you watch their GitHub page you'll notice they have one of the most active teams. I believe their slow speed is because they decided to take some detours along the way and re-work some things, but trust me, that proves they are serious.

When you realise you can do something better, it's always much easier to ignore the though and keep doing what you do rather than deleting part of your work and redoing it better.
I'm glad ARK has chosen not to be lazy but change part of their plans for the better.

Margin longs are getting rekt'd ! whoooohoooo ! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
I would wish no one was trading on margin and instead use real, existing coins instead of theoretical ones.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CoinGecko.com - 360 Degree Cryptocurrency Valuation and Ranking on: June 27, 2019, 07:04:18 AM
Lately I've been in search of a good portfolio tracker, maybe CoinGecko could decide on making one? I believe we miss a good app that does everything.

  • Coinlib has a good interface and all the info I need really, but it's not mobile-friendly and they haven't update anything over half a year now. It makes me wonder if they'll keep their service up in the future.
  • Blockfolio has a nice exchange integration and a good flow of news from the coins I follow, but it misses so many important features (I can't easily view my portfolio distribution in a visual graph, I can't see how much profit/loss I have for each asset without opening each asset individually and going deep in their menus, etc).
  • G.E.M. has the best interface and portfolio presentation, but it won't allow me to edit the entries from exchanges. The portfolio tracker can't know if a withdraw from an exchange has sent the coins in my wallet or if it was a payment to someone else.

With your professionalism, I hope you are intresting in creating something that can have all the good points of those apps with hopefully none of their issues ! Wink
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: June 27, 2019, 06:40:51 AM

I think it is time that we simply boycott the casino which ask for kyc. The casino has no rights to get our private information. We never know they may sell this user data to any firm or marketing company etc.

Do we know who are the owners of the gambling sites ? Do they provide their KYC ?  Why they need the players to do the kyc ?  A lots of unanswered question by the casino and houses.

With mostly newbies taking part in gambling services which require KYC, I'm sure a boycott isn't possible!
Informed players go to the long standing sites that have been proven legit and won't require KYC.

I haven't used Ledger Nano with ARK lately, I mean... I had no reason to withdraw... Roll Eyes ... but previously I had some issues with connectivity (the Ledger was not being recognised until multiple USB reconnects and/or PC restarts).
With ARK v2 I didn't have problems the 1 or 2 times I used it and I'm glad to hear there have been more improvements.
The upcoming bluetooth support for Nano X is also awesome!

No matter what someone is being tough, they usually won't listen until they get experience.
There's a saying where I live about the best teacher being the experience.

Controlling emotions you haven't get used to feel is hard.

How much was the ticket's price?
I believe there must be a really really big amount of sold tickets in order to justify a Lamborghini for the winner!
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🔴 AXIE INFINITY 🔴 | 🧡Breeding🧡 | ⚔Battling⚔ | 🧱Crafting🧱 - Dapp Game on: June 26, 2019, 11:07:39 AM
I have heard of this game before. I saw it on this one site that reviews crypto games. This has been around for a long time now. I don't like the idea of spending money on actions in a game. Unless I can somehow earn that money back? If I can make money that is even better. Is there a way to invest in this game? What methods of investing are there? Would it just be trading rare parts and fighting over the land?

There are many different ways people earn money through Axie Infinity, I'll try list them all but I may miss some,

1) Build strong teams and take part in both official tournaments and community tournaments, win against the competition and you'll earn cryptocurrencies.

2) Buy cheap Axies and try to breed stronger Axies from them, the Axie Infinity marketplace is one of the most active and you are very likely to find a buyer fast.
You can try breed rare looks (some Axies have a rare body types, like Sumo, Fuzzy and Yak among other), breed pure Axies (all parts being of the same class) or strong battlers (for example pure tanks, or high DPS, or healers, or backdoor DPS).

3) Buy expensive and limited Axies (called Mystics) which have unique looking parts, they are not stronger than other Axies but they have a distinct tag in their name and a different visual. For example this Mystic Axie (https://axieinfinity.com/axie/1733) was sold for 110 ETH and this (https://axieinfinity.com/axie/265) for 85.2 ETH.

4) Buy land... well, any land! You can buy from other players or from the official shop while there are some lands left.
- 4.A) You'll be able to place Axies in your lands and send them to PvE quests, earning tradable materials when successful. This feature is not yet live but you'll be able to trade those materials for crypto or craft with them.
- 4.B) If you don't want to use your land, you can rent it to other users who will pay you a fee in crypto. Even without renting your land, the land owners will be airdropped some ingame resources (and maybe even small amounts of LOOM? There are talks about it, we'll see)

5) There are some minigames created by community devs and streams and/or other community members give rewards to players.

More info can also be found here: https://axieworld.com/

Dear ARK team, I was wondering about your plan for future marketing campaigns. You've already created an awesome advertising video but other than that, how do you plan to proceed?
Are you waiting for a specific development milestone to be reached first or maybe are you planning to allow the community to do the advertising?

Excellent question sir. But and it's a big butt.  You got more chance of getting a whale up your arse,  than getting an answe sir. ,r

Well, they're mainly active in Slack which is understandable really. They are present in a total of 12 social media including this forum. In order for them to be active in all of these media it'd take either of these two things...
A) A person who would solely be active in these channels and speak with the community. That'd be good if they had customers in these channels, but their customer base is developer teams. The only thing one such person would do is give generic answers to generic questions of investors and "moon-investors". That's a salary going to waste.
B) Alternatively, the core team themselves would have to monitor these channels, but then this would take away from their development time. As a developer myself, I know how hard it is to proceed with your software's development if every now and then you pause in order to read or reply to a message.

So as things stand, I don't take the teams absence from the forums as a sign that they don't care about their community. They are just being efficient and that's great for me as an investor.
They only post announcement here, which is fine.

I'll try get an answer in Slack I suppose!

And yes, they answered really quick!

Sam from the ARK team told me the following,
"Our marketing team are currently fully focused on the marketing strategy they have developed and are bringing it to fruition.
They will be targeting the B2B/Enterprise space within certain market sectors.
These are IoT, Supply Chain, Gaming and Government."

I value your comments highly I do. And you always try to help out the under knowledgeable  folks. Thanks.
Do you have a twitter to follow perhaps?.

Not sure who do you define as "you", I'm not part of the ARK team! Cheesy I'm always glad to help though.
