My miner died after 10 hours run time in my basement temps in the room were 80f.
I booted it it came back .
I transported it to the solar array I booted it and board was dead.
My miners dead board had labels crossed out indicating it failed QC.
My other five miners are stable in a barn that gets to 100f
the max op temps are 40 c which is 112 f
I downclock to keep temps at 65c 95c or less.
They have run since before the ½ ing.
Back to my great adventure of trying to get it replaced. It is in Colorado
I will post when they contact me.
In my honest experience to be working for a company that build electronics devices. If the a board failed the QC then they tried it again and it worked, it should never been sold to anyone. You might have a solder issue on the board. (It can be a defective parts or whatever possible) It might be working cold ... or hot or in between but it doesn't work all the time. You could bend the PCB a bit and it would be working again ... but for how long ? This is bad QC. When it does happen for us, this is a major issue and we take it seriously has many factors can influence the exact problem. We stop the production if we have to... until we are 100% sure the cause of the issue is fixed. Anyway this is just my 2 cents

Well If I want to heat up a room it's nice but I'm not sure about running a bunch of them in the same room and been able to get the heat out easily. Looks like if the unit stand as in the image, you got the heat to move from floor to the roof. So If i want to throw to the heat through a window (without having to suck it up with another fan/system), i would have to flip the unit so the air flow goes in the windows direction.
Just thinking out loud.

Maybe something to fight the A7 ?
That's what I was thinking.. Price cartel is a much more likely scenario. Indeed and Avalon never really fought Bitmain price with the A6

Massive spike, we are still going up a bit.

oh the spike is back
Sadly yes, but not surprise there

This is small consolation but it is a good bet that sooner or later you will be able to buy a replacement hashboard from bitmainwarranty if you wanted. You might also just see if they can fix it. Shipping to them will cost much less.
Yeah I would try the US company too.

Sidehack wanted to do an upgrade board for the S1/S3/S5 but he couldn't get any chips from any manufacturer ... (new gen chip).

Almost got another one 10 minutes ago ... so close [2016-08-18 00:56:31.057+10] Share ok Diff 98.7% (214619925872/217375482757.2) --- Pool 63612613591.0 63.6G 29.26%
we could have used a few petahash to push that block thru... Nah, nothing could push that through It wasn't a block. Just close to being one, 98.7% close. But WHMining sorted that out anyway With a Juvia block So close but no cigar.... 1 or 2 Ph nowadays is so "small" in the BTC mining world. I wonder why Juvia and her minions hasn't checked in yet for a block or two this past weeks... She got the last one 6xzkj juvia Aug‑17 16:20:21 thanks for the consolation HerbPean.... I was wondering about my own Juvia miners.... they got 2 quick blocks 28th, 29th July.... but after that they have been sleeping on the job I have been mining for like more then 2 years, I was very small at first then now I have like 65TH. Never solved a block. My ant-furnance was solo mining when the diff was 40G and hit a 20G (with just about 400GH). That's my the closest call that I know of. I rented a few times 250th-1P and still nothing

Wow. People leaving in droves. Must be running out of rental cash. Maybe things go back to normal soon. that's great, more coins for us when the party start again.

I can fund this without a signature campaign until Dec. I would pay 25 a jump vs 50.
I think that even if you'd pay 1$ a jump, people would still come here. That's because this is a chance for free money and a nice and civilized thread/discussion. And sooner or later you'll find another good campaign too. I agree with this, we don't need 50$, 5$ is quite en ought to have some fun ;-) Ho men, I wanna buy an S9 today ... ROI is still extreme but you know ...

2001 Blocks 7.81% 217669149604
and 15 blocks to go. it will be between 7 - 8 % .
well one thing for sure there are a lot of s-7's on the fence of in the black to in the red. along with avalon 6's and the network is mostly s-7's and avalon 6's maybe 900ph between them with coins at 565 usd and diff soon to be 217-218 a cheap power guy has a harder choice does he just mine his older gear or does he grab s-9's maybe he waits for avalon 7's a lot of the problem for a cheap power guy is the s-7 is .25 watts and the s-9 is .1 watts I can see that the s-7 is now pretty weak if your power is 6 cents. a 10 cent per K-watt miner is in the red right now a 9 cent per k-watt miner will be in the red in about 2 hours with the jump an 8 cent per k-watt miner will be in the red when we reach 253 diff a drop in price to under 525 will put more pressure on s-7 miners. a lot of gear will soon be out of date. Well I pay 6 cents and it is cheap for many miners around here. Maybe we are about to see some drop in the hashrate but it doesn't look to be the case. I'm going to mine with my A6 and S7 as much as i can for sure. I just hope the A7 bring the S9's price down ... for now i'm sitting on what I have.
