421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why only Bitvest and 777Coin on: August 02, 2020, 04:06:20 PM
= Are they the only gambling sites that really make a profit from gambling
No they are not ghe only one. There are Sporsbet, Cryptgames, Bitsler (though it end already), Yolodice etc. Many gambling sites as reputable as them are existing and making profits as well.
= Why other campaigns only last 2 to 5 weeks why they cannot sustain
It depends on every project on how long they want to run a campaign and how much they want to pay their participants. The fact that they are new also affects the duration of their campaign. Since bitvest and 77 are already a huge and popular site, they of course got a higher fund to sustain their campaign.
= How can Bitvest and 777Coin sustain the campaign
Simply because of their payment system. Their pay rate per post can be considered smaller than the usual and it becomes smaller as you gobon the lower tier. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they are unfair or whatsoever. Maybe that is just their own way of making an effecctive advertising and yeah it works. Their campaign runs for couple of years already (I can't actually remember when since they made a new thread Grin) and still counting. Imagine the amount of profit it could bring for them.
422  Economy / Economics / Re: In the pandemic economy, tech companies are raking it in on: August 02, 2020, 10:29:34 AM
Like what other's said, the news was not surprising because that's what we really expected. These companies boom because of boredom and forced isolation due to pandemic. Aside from social media and e-commerce companies, I think another kind of business which get the spotlight in these recent times are the money remittance centers and delivery sercvices. Here in our country, I can feel that such businesses are growing rapidly.
I'm also wondering how much does the toilet paper and facemask companies are earning since the beginning of the pandemic.
The toilet paper was really just a bubble during the early periods as artificial scarcirty was created, so people panicked and bought more creating even more scarcity.
Is that for real? I mean, is there really a high demand happened on toilet papers? I Heard about it before but I thought they were just joking. Im sorry, I can't relate because I do believe that most of the people are into soap and water lol Grin. Well, if that's the case then maybe I'm wrong.
423  Other / Meta / Re: Where to post asking if anyone is interested in starting a "project" together? on: August 02, 2020, 08:47:05 AM
I think if you worry too much about rules and such, step on someone's toe then just discuss your idea in here.
Not a bad attitude to worry about being in wrong section at least he is concern and pay attention to the forum rule to post on the right section which is good characteristic of poster with sense of responsibility.
Yup! That's the right ethics. Why step on someone's toes if you can get the attention of others the right way in the the first place? By doing so, you can avoid troubles or complaints from the meticulous members here Cheesy.
then I think posting a thread on either Project Development or Altcoin Discussion is enough depending on what you really are up to.
Im not recommending to altcoin discussion, that section is highly spammed thread. If the idea is serious, he can post there but make sure to activate Self-moderated thread so he can delete spammer's post.
You had a good point but I don't see anything wrong on posting there either. I presume his idea is not yet mature so no need to a more technical board. If he feels agitated with the spammers then he can self moderate his own topic.

I know that alt discussion got a bad impression for most of us but it is not as bad as you think. There are still good topics and members existing there Smiley.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pension Fund - Thoughts? on: August 02, 2020, 03:44:47 AM
I don't know maybe crypto pension is that right word to use for this. Firstly, pension is certain percentage that is removed for workers salary and then edge for them until their retirement. I'm wondering which categories of employers this will be attached to. Are they those that receive their daily income in fiat or those that are being paved in crypto ?
I guess it supposed to be the latter part. It was so called a Crypto pension so it must be came from a crypto salary. Because its essence will lose if we still received fiat salary and then just convert it into fiat. Traditional pension fund exist anyways so what's the point now?

But in my opinion, the idea is good but I don't think it will boom for now. We should focus on adopting crypto in other fields first so that we can finally put it into mainstream and then the rest (including this crypto pension) will follows.

Based on this idea, the simplest thing to do is create a wallet where your deposit your retirement and handle it all yourself. Applying the same concept, the option I just described above is the safest.
A more convenient idea indeed. Apply for a usual pension run by your government and make a crypto savings as well. Do it simultaneously and I'm sure you won't encounter financial problems on your retirement (knowing that crypto price keeps on soaring as time goes by) Cheesy.
425  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tutorial - How to create Table in the BitcoinTalk Forum on: August 01, 2020, 11:40:40 AM
Nice tutorial in my own perspectives I believe newbies will not get confused on the icons when using the reply box.
If ever you feel confused on what the icons are used for or hesitate to simply click it because you're afraid of what may happen (I felt the same thing when I was new here). Dude there's a simple solution for your problem Smiley.

> For example, you want to know what this icon is

> Just click and hold it then a window will pop up. Now you know that it was a Superscript. A feature usually used for typing math exponents.

426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Traditional Crypto online gambling sites against Crypto based gambling sites on: August 01, 2020, 06:41:27 AM
Like what most of the other respondents, I got with the traditional as well. Not only because it offers a wider variety of coins for betting but mainly because of convenience Smiley. Imagine the hassle of converting first your btc into eos (just an example) if ever you will play on a crypto based. Not yet mentioning the fact that some people are not comfortable to use other alts. Yeah eos and tron are reputable in all fairneess, but there are people who are still not into it.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 01, 2020, 05:10:00 AM
We have the worst Government in this time of Pandemic, It's not all about the President but the Government as a whole.
I don't know, I can't make a clear conclusion on my mind right now because I'm having a hard time considering the stance of our government as well as the voice of the opposition. Both of them got good points to be honest, they are right in their own ways however I think this will never help our country — it actually makes the situation even worse. There's no unity Undecided.

I remembered a statement from a frontliner regarding this issue (I found it on FB post AFAIR), "Buhay muna, bago politika". Direct to the point! This is the thing we must all realized.

what can you say about our situation for being the worst and also as the leading country on ASEAN that has a high  number of Covid Cases.
Philippines numbawan! (and it s*cks) Undecided.
428  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to reduce MegaSpam threads . on: August 01, 2020, 02:36:49 AM
I often post in a Mega thread in the gambling section about the Italian Serie A. I do it because I like Italian football and there are a few members there who know what they are talking about. There is a lot of crap and spam as well but I the entire thread isn't a spam thread and doesn't deserve to be locked in my opinion. It started at the beginning of the season and contains discussions about a whole bunch of things.
Yeah! I understand your sentiment dude. I also like engaging with some of the discussions there especially when it comes to NBA, PBA and UFC so I will be sad if ever such threads will finally come to an end. But in my opinion, I think these could be included on the exemptions since the discussion there does not only revolve in a single topic. Sports updates keep on coming from time to time thus opening gateway for new discussions Smiley. The ideas there are not so repetitive compared to spam megathreads.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AVAX project vs Cardano on: July 31, 2020, 11:58:46 AM
Cardano team should know that Avalanche is capable of defeating them, the reason why I said this is because Avalanche teams are complete blockchain professionals, it's possible for this project to become top 10 in just few months, let's wait and see
Hmmm, I'm sorry to burst your bubble but I think you are putting too much hope on this new project. There's nothing wrong of being confident as long as good decision making isn't compromised. I'm just worrying that you might spend out of your budget to hoard AVAX. Guard your heart dude because we all know that aiming to become highly ranked token seems impossible nowadays (what more within just 10 months lol). You know, it's very hard to shine within a bunch of new competitors in the market.

But fair enough, well it's really hard to put conclusion without witnessing the results yet so keep on believing and good luck Grin. But as far as I'm concern, no doubt that Cardano is on the advantage side since it already prove its worth to us.
430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Congratulations to me on: July 31, 2020, 09:29:35 AM
- And discovered the existence of bitcointalk forum in Twitter in 2019.
- I registered in bitcointalk forum on 9th June 2020, and received th first merit in 15th June 2020.
- And second merit on 16th June 2020.
- And my first smerit was sent in 23th of June 2020.
Only with these dates, I already knew that you are so passionate with this forum that's why I am no longer surprised why you're so happy to rank up. Imagine that, you note the important dates of your btctalk journey. Nice! Keep up the dedication and spread love Cheesy

Congrats to you dude but I bet you're glad and contented long time ago already even if you didn't discover this forum in the first place. You're an early adopter and I presume that you're lying on a bed of money jk Grin. That is x100 more fulfilling than ranking up here lol.
431  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: July 31, 2020, 07:16:59 AM
Guys I know this is hard to accept but we must all (whether you belong on the excluded, remained or even those who are not participants) understand that "Best_Change's house, Best_Change's rules". That's it. Yeah very sad to know that he choose to punish the violators instead of giving them another chance but I don't see anything wrong about it either. I believe that his final verdict was based on what he think is better for the campaign, nothing more and nothing less. All we can do is to support and respect it.

That's why I'm glad that Avirunes finally accepted CM's decision with a smile. What a huge sign of respect and humility! I do hope others follow his lead and start moving on as well. Besides, making the argument even longer won't bring good benefits for us in the first place. God bless you guys Smiley.

"He is the payer and we are the beggar, and beggar can't be a chooser".
Excuse me! Sorry, I was just reading and found this is too offensive to read. [...]
Yea, you are right here. I think "Taker" is more appropriate than beggar. Edited my reply.

You deserve +1 merit, but I am out of smerits now Smiley.
I got you bro, here's 2 merits (you can now send merit to him Wink) for your effort of correcting your side. I appreciate it. At least you now realized that being a campaign participant is a decent work. We owe no one because we are working for that money and not simply asking for it.
432  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is the biggest problem with cryptos on: July 31, 2020, 06:06:15 AM
I do not know why you're so mad about cryptos and why this is a big problem for you.
Dude I think you misunderstood what he said. He is not totally mad with the technology as a whole. He is just so frustrated why most of people treat crypto (for example, bitcoin) as a store of value and not a means of exchange which supposed to be its real application based on the whitepaper.

@OP ~ Actually you got a point on that one. However, it is what it is. Since all of us found an opportunity to make money through this so the tendency is they will grab it for real. Coz why not? If you do believe that crypto should be solely used for exchanging goods then you are free to do so. But you cannot force everyone to follow you. Everyone got their own belief and for me I choose to lie on the middle. I am willing to get more adoptions and like to earn as well Smiley.
433  Other / Meta / Re: An unfair treatment of Bitcointalk moderators on: July 31, 2020, 02:13:59 AM
Mistakes are common in this life, and we all make mistakes at one point or the other in our lives.

Yeah! You're correct on that part and I also believe that it was a natural phenomenon. However, making this as an excuse or a sort of encouragement to feel them guilty for what your friend did here won't work. Rules are rules, he hould take the punishment for violating it. As simple as that. I'm not getting pessimistic but it's better for you to give up on him already simply because mods' decision is always final and irrevocable.

He had 4 banned accounts and you are a newbie. Hm. Smells fishy. Maybe, he is not your friend. Maybe, you are an alt of that 4 accounts.
Lol, let's give him the benefit of the doubt for now Cheesy  Maybe he is his real friend and just concerned on the situation. Creating a new accoun by just raising a voice is not a new thing here.

434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kobe Bryant's death has been used for scamming. on: July 30, 2020, 02:35:59 PM
So disgusting Undecided. What an act of desperation just to earn money. They now have the guts to take advantage of a deceased individual. They're evolving and I hate it.

Anyway, Is that even possible?! I can't believe it. I thought such malware can be found only from infected applications/software. Actually one of the signs I knew if your device is now used as mining power by the hackers is when you noticed that your device is overheating despite of not using mobile network on that particular app. Hmm, now I'm wondering what signs we can see if we accidentally downloaded an infected picture knowing that it's less power consuming. Is it the same?

[snip]

They can still earn income by using their knowledge and skills in a good and ethical manner. However, some people really want to earn big money so easily and I think that's the reason why hackers and scammers still choose to do it.
They can but they don't want. They are confident of doing illegal things because they knew that they can easily escape through their outstanding computer skills. That's a sad fact Sad.
435  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hire Crypto Trader on: July 30, 2020, 11:31:21 AM
Don't be surprised, when he likely give them some criteria
like for them to trade with the exchange he suggested so it'll be easier for him to keep track of the trade. Unknowingly you meant think he meant well not knowing the exchange in suggestion is likely controlled by him which might request for you to make some deposit before you'll be able too withdraw. It might sound funny to you but people still fall prey to this type of scams.
Oh boy! The modus is quite complicated thus I can say that I couldn't be able to think of such tendency in the very beginning. But well, I'm not too dumb to fall on "deposit now, withdraw later" kind of scheme so most probably I will stop helping him along the way if ever I'm on that situation Grin.

Thanks for the advice dude, I learned something important. You made me realized that there's nothing wrong of helping others vocally, just be careful if you want to put it into actions.
436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hire Crypto Trader on: July 30, 2020, 07:51:13 AM
There is no guarantee to earn money by participating in signal groups or hiring crypto trader. Actually, many people are losing because of and it is the reason why we should only depend on ourselves when we do trading.

The OP is liking spamming or probably wanting to scam some gullible users out here.
How come? I thought OP wants a crypto trader who work for him. So technically speaking, hist stance in the situation is a victim in the making and not the fraudster because of the fact that he is willing to let other people manipulate his own money. Am I missing something Huh.
The reason we're all advice to learn how to do things ourselves is because it enhances your life style. If you're an investor, investing by yourself it make you develop the been patience characteristics which will not only help you in investing but other areas of life.
Indeed, studying cultivates your mind and body. And the knowledge you get gives you a sense of value as an individual. The wiser you become, the higher self esteem you can achieve. That's why I'm wondering why some are not fond of it, maybe because of laziness or fear of failure? Invalid excuse I think.
437  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BULL RUN on: July 30, 2020, 03:18:58 AM
For altcoins, Eth2.0, Cardano's Shelley release and the whole Defi and staking features.
Yup! This is one of the biggest news which we can consider a reason why there's a sudden pump on eth's price thus creating a domino effect (seems that everybody followed). Maybe many people get hyped and decide to join the boat knowing Eth 2.0 is a fantastic news expecting it will let them make good profits as it moves nearer on its release Smiley.

But whateverthe reason is, I'm glad that the market once become lively again. Actually, I just finished investing my extra money here hehehe. I hope this is now the start for a long term bull run.
438  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tip]: Anti-Phishing Apps or extensions on: July 30, 2020, 12:56:54 AM
I thought it would be ideal if we could also consider installing effective Antivirus apps on our systems to further strengthen our defenses against such kind of attacks but the only downside to these antivirus feature is that it is mostly available on paid or subscribed versions of most antivirus apps only.
If I will be asked I prefer paid antivirus rather than installing free extensions because I feel more relieved by doing so Smiley especially knowing the fact that scammers are now also using such extensions to harm us as well. It costs money but I know it will be all worth it. Due to the series of bad news regarding privacy issues, I'm now having a hard time to trust FREE downloadable apps (which came from unreliable sources of course) because no one knows whether they got a hidden agenda or not. I'm not too techy to figure it out. So having an extra defense is really vital.
439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin adoption really is. on: July 29, 2020, 09:19:03 AM
So, does that mean to say that when people start buying Bitcoin and HODLing them, keeping them for god knows when, that's enough to consider adoption? Or is it that when people start buying Bitcoin and then use it as a medium of exchange or as a real-life money, that's the time we can only say it has reached a decent level of adoption?
Both are considered a form of adoption. Because if we try to look on its meaning, adoption only means the act of using something. So whether you use it for profit making or set as fiat alternative, you are adopting. However, the real essence of bitcoin must also based on its true objective according to whitepaper— a peer to peer transaction without using third party. For that being said, the latter one should be the answer and all of us supposed to follow (IMO).
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some priceless tokens. on: July 29, 2020, 06:23:46 AM
Those who have worked with Altcoin or have been involved with Altcoin for a long time. I would like to know from them that the team members of the project are benefiting from the fact that the token they are distributing is not listed in the token exchange.
And the token that I got could one day be listed on the exchange.
If I were you I will not put all of my hope on those sh*tty coins you hold because if they really had a bright future in the first place then those will not get stagnant in your wallet, isn't it? ICOs are not the same as couple of years back (especially during the bull run last 2017), they are all just deceiving the investors. Actually, what happens right now is purely battle of marketing strategy. A particular project boosts, whether proven scam or not, as long as the team are good in persuading. So be careful on picking your own poison Wink. Or better for you to stop for the moment and wait for the next bull run hoping good projects will come.
