2. The is more of a noob question (I don't deal double hand or split hand, this was my first time) The last Black Jack I played, I deal twice (simultaneously) $1 each hand, I can't remember value of each hand cards, I busted on one hand and I stand (16, I think) on the other hand, then the dealer also busted after Hit(ing) a few times. Then I won $2, shouldn't be $3 in total ? I think since the dealer busted too one hand should void and bet refunded while I should win the other hand  Cheesy Although I do understand that If I was dealing a single hand it wouldn't have mattered what the dealer's card value is as far as I've busted, but I just felt the dealer has a better advantage in situation to keep HIT(ing) even when slightly unnecessary since I've had one hand busted.

No, it doesn't work like that. You'll be credited only 2$, because once your hand gets busted you lose the bet amount placed on that hand ie.1$. For the second hand, you will win ie.2$ as the dealer got busted. Void bets in Blackjack happen only when both the dealer and the player have the same total.
422  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My 1000th post on this forum! Things I have learnt :) on: June 04, 2020, 12:31:14 AM
Stay away from the tempting dramas happening all the time in the forum. Don't comment and take anyone's side. But don't fear to call a scammer a scammer. Politely though Cheesy
You can 'ignore' the reputation section if you want to stay away from drama on the forum, but it's also fine if you wish to get involved with your own accurate or correct take/comment on them.

It's true that it is better to avoid forum drama in Reputation Board and focus on improving your knowledge of Bitcoin and other important things. But I am afraid forum dramas are not only restricted to Reputation Board anymore, nowadays dramas can popup anywhere especially in Meta
423  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How do non custodial web wallets work? on: June 04, 2020, 12:00:15 AM
Lot's of web wallets claiming to be non custodial but how do they do this? they usually create a seed and mnemonic pass..
Do they sign the transaction in-browse then broadcast the signed tx for a external server?

I hope you understand the difference between custodial and non-custodial wallets. In short, custodial wallets share your private keys with a third party while non-custodial wallets do not. Therefore, with non-custodial wallets, you have full control over your funds and is more secure.
So, non-custodial web wallets do not share your private keys with others and are generated in your browser. For accessing it, you'll have to enter the private keys, sign the transaction and then broadcast it.

427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shady wallets for Android smartphones on: May 31, 2020, 05:51:32 PM
There are hundreds of fake wallets and other malware programs available online, that's why its always recommended to download any software from their Official websites. There is nothing much we can do about these fake apps/softwares. Users have to do their own diligence when it comes to choosing and installing crypto-related software on their devices.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Voided Bets: Can a betting site void a game which is accepted by the league? on: May 31, 2020, 04:57:37 PM
As most of them had mentioned, we can't do much about some games end being void bets as it depends on the stance of the Sportsbook. I understand it sucks when you are winning but then your bet gets void. But personally I think it's OK to declare one or two bets as void if the sportsbook faced a technical issue, but if they do this more frequently, I would say they are cheating and would quit using the site.

^Yeah this schedule is really confusing. Looking at the schedule, all the previous assumptions about IPL seems to be wrong. If BCCI is planning to host IPL in Mid Aug to Sep, I don't think it would go well as planned considering the current scenario in India.

Don't even debate on this.
IPL this year is 100% impossible, unless they move it to Australia or some other country that is not affected by the pandemic.

eaLiTy has already posted the details, so I don't need to explain. In short, the situation here in India became much worse during the last week or so. There have been a huge jump in the number of cases, and those regions which remained mostly unaffected earlier (such as Kerala, Goa and North-east) are witnessing a huge jump in the number of new cases.

Do you think it's impossible? I wouldn't bet on it honestly. You do understand that Unlock 1.0 of Modi was announced after the increase in the number of Covid19 cases right? So what makes you think that you wouldn't have IPL this year? Eventhough, I don't want IPL or any other sports event until the end of this year in India, many are eager to go back to the normal lifestyle and are ready to accept Corona as a part of their daily life. So, I wouldn't be surprised if IPL or any other major sports event get hosted in India.

I find everything strange here. IPL can't be held in just 3 months from now when the covid 19 situation is still unclear.
Also ICC should have focused on T20 world cup, instead they are more willing to have India Australia series in that time period.

Regarding T20 world cup, discussions are ongoing to postpone it and these are the possible scenarios

1. Feb-March, 2021: The event could be held early next year but Cricket Australia is reportedly not too keen on the idea considering the Indian Premier League (IPL) will start right after. To have as many T20 matches for consecutive 3-4 months could lead to overkill. The dates also coincide with England's tour of England which is a big headache.
2. Postpone to 2022 and swap hosting rights: The idea of Cricket Australia hosting the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup and India taking the rights for the 2022 edition has also surfaced but it has been reported that the BCCI is not too keen on the idea of this sort of a switch.
3. Australia to host 2022 T20 World Cup instead of 2020: Touted as the most feasible decision, this could see the 2020 edition being postponed by 2 years while Australia would retain the hosting rights.

This is being discussed in the T20 thread
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investing in Burency.io/ burency.com a good idea ??? on: May 30, 2020, 10:52:50 PM
I heard about Burency (exchange and blockchain development platform based on middle east) a lot through telegram. They have over 100k members in telegram group. They've recently partnered with huobi. They also featured in a lot of news coverage.

Their native erc20 token BUY are on ICO. Almost 47% are sold. My question is should I invest in buy token Huh Will it be a good choice Huh Or any exchange token suggestions other than BNB and HT.
This project is most probably a targeted scam attempt via telegram. As tabas mentioned there is no information about the information of the so called burrency token or about the huobi partnership online when you make a simple Google search. And having 100K users in telegram doesn't even matter as they can be bought. So it's better to stay away from the project.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WazirX coin over the moon. on: May 30, 2020, 10:32:16 PM
I'm personally a bit cautious of Indian origin tokens, especially the projects where team operates from India. Even though Supreme Court ruled in favour of crypto exchanges, cryptocurrency itself is not legalized or regulated. It is still in gray area. If India passes anti-cryptocurrency bill, then all these tokens are going to zero, so there is quite some risk. But for short term profits, it is fine I guess.

Yeah it's true that some of the India based tokens are scams and it's good to be cautious about it. But in this case, if you are cautious about WRX coin, you have to be cautious about BNB and Binance too. Because, WRX coin is a token of WazirX exchange which has been acquired by Binance. So, if WRX end up being a scam, BNB will follow.

435  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: BWT plugin to connect without Electrum Servers on: May 29, 2020, 01:15:00 PM
is something like this even useful for an "Electrum user"?
if they run Electrum then they are not running a full node of their own and if they run a full node they don't have another wallet like Electrum.

P.S. it seems to be an "alpha" version and not for "users" but for only developers.
I didn't have much idea about it, thats why I asked whether it's better than connecting to Electrum servers. Didn't know that alpha version is for developers. So guess I'll stay away for now.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Probit Exchange IEO Based Bounties Should Join ? on: May 28, 2020, 12:34:13 PM
I have checked different bounties for joining but most of them IEO's running on Probit Exchange and showing the highest worth value of tokens should we join Probit Exchange-based bounties?

Nobody can predict whether an altcoin will excel. So yes, it's definitely better to participate in a bounty which has an IEO than blindly participating in altcoin bounties which gives you some n number of tokens and will never be listed in an exchange. Because even if the token is worth few pennies in the exchange, you can atleast have a hope that it may pump someday  Tongue
437  Bitcoin / Electrum / BWT plugin to connect without Electrum Servers on: May 28, 2020, 12:18:46 PM
Recently a piece of information was shared via Telegram that Bitcoin Wallet Tracker enables electrum users to connect to bitcoin core directly without using electrum server

https://github.com/shesek/bwt#electrum-plugin

So I just want to know whether it is better to connect my Electrum through Electrum server or through the BWT plugin. Is there a difference between the two?

'There was no intent from MS Dhoni' - Ben Stokes on India's crushing defeat against England in 2019 World Cup

https://www.timesnownews.com/sports/cricket/article/there-was-no-intent-from-ms-dhoni-ben-stokes-on-indias-crushing-defeat-against-england-in-2019-world-cup/597331

India lost that match intentionally to keep Pakistan out and play against the Kiwis in the semi-finals.

Oh come on, It's not India, Kiwis were the one who wantonly kept Pak from entering the semifinals  Tongue

After India lost to ENG, ENG were having 10 points and had to face NZ who were at 11 points. In that match, Kiwis intentionally lost the match by 119 runs. They didn't put up any fight as they did in the finals, this resulted in Pak to be eliminated. Now tell me who kept Pak out? India or NZ?
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DISCUSSION] How to overcome a big loss in gambling? on: May 27, 2020, 06:04:22 PM
@Nellayar I believe the most important and basic thing to avoid the stress caused because of losing is to gamble with the spare money you are willing to lose. If you are gambling with your spare money even if you lose, you won't feel any stress. Stress strikes only when you lose money which you cannot afford. The money which you can't afford to lose should never be used to gamble.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is your blackjack strategy when you have 12,14,16 Numbers in your hand? on: May 26, 2020, 02:51:11 PM
I will try to follow line by line when I will go to PC + during play.
Feel free to use the strategy, but please don't follow it blindly. Even with this strategy, you might end up losing by the end of the day. This is just a basic strategy, you'll have to improvise yourself while playing.
Btw, feel free to contact me privately, happy to help Smiley
