I got finally verified, I used the ''2fa trick'' where you send them a 2fa removal ticket and you also send them your ID, and ID+selfie+piece of paper with date and ask them for 2fa removal and to also verify your account, it usually works, so you can try that. Good luck to everyone.
422  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: December 15, 2017, 06:21:33 PM
I was finally verified using the ''2fa'' trick, it seems that they were not scamming after all. Good luck to everyone else, you will get verified eventually but you can still use the trick.
423  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: December 15, 2017, 01:50:31 PM
After the events of last week.

I was making this suggestion to some folks yesterday, but they claimed that bitcoin is too small.  Does it matter?

Currently, bitcoin is a form of digital currency, the central cryptocurrency and stronger than that of its rival altcoin (ETH, BCH, XRP, LTC, and MIOTA).

Currently no one uses bitcoin as a currency, currently bitcoin is an asset and it will always be, no one will use bitcoin as a currency, it's just no viable. It's not stronger than eth, what are you smoking? What does bitcoin have that's better than eth? Higher fees?
424  Economy / Economics / Re: Is NOW the best time to buy or enter in bitcoin? on: December 15, 2017, 01:49:26 PM
Yes, now is the best time to enter bitcoin and buy bitcoin because we all know that bitcoin price is always increasing in the market.
The best time to buy bitcoin you know why? Price is always increasing indeed when you buy today you can earn profit if you hold. Just manage your bitcoin hodlings and it will gain income.

Is it really? It would need to go to almost 40k to earn x2 while many other coins can easily go to x5 and new ones x100. Is bitcoin a better investment than that? Not to mention the danger of it since it hasn't crashed once a huge crash is around the corner.
425  Economy / Economics / Re: why bitcoin is so much special than others currency ? on: December 15, 2017, 01:48:05 PM
Why?there is only one reason behind that thing, and its because bitcoins has the highest price among them all and bitcoins is the roots of all this altcoins under him.So basically bitcoins is the father and that fact makes him most special over all the cryptos up now

Doesn't mean it's better, eventually it's going to be totally outdated since technological improvements might not always be applicable to existing bitcoins. Many coins are already better  in many ways and some of them are actually, you know, currencies, which is what they are supposed to be.
426  Economy / Economics / Re: why bitcoin is so much special than others currency ? on: December 15, 2017, 11:52:14 AM
Because it's a currency of the world we people believe that currency is just exchanging and trading the price value of money. Bitcoin is much special to us because the blockchain itself will help the banking industry.
Everything is going best with bitcoin. As discussed bitcoin is an autonomous currency and is indirectly controlled by the public by its demand because the price and everything depends on the demand of the public. Moreover bitcoin has no owner or a controller, it treat all its users equally and also it give extra privacy to its users. No one can know about the amount of bitcoin a person is havin g unlit he wills to tell them.

It's not really anonymous though. Sure you can send bitcoins to someone from your address and no one will see your identity, they only see the address, problem is that the transaction and address are stored forever in the blockchain and someone will eventually trace it back to you.

Just casual Geo market action, no?

We are having a huge pump, check the volume as well, personally I wont be selling any time soon because it has potential.

Had there been users here in the forum can verify us that their account was once block and have enhanced their verification which resulted to being unlocked? I haven't seen anyone announcing their account was approved after submitting documents, was there?

There is another thread with a lot of tickets and like half of them are verified so yes, some users are getting verified and can withdraw their money. It's harder if you are disabled though.
429  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: December 14, 2017, 06:09:53 PM
I've been waiting 24 hours for verification. How long does it normally take? My DL matches my account info exactly. The process says it takes around 10 minutes to verify. What are they doing? I have not had any error come back yet.

I just see:

Your verification information is currently being processed

Please wait while your information is being verified. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Tips for successful verification:

Take a fresh selfie, ensure nothing is blocking a full view of your face
Do not use the same image from your identification documents
Do not use a professional profile picture
Do not manipulate the image of your identification in anyway. This includes adding watermarks or blacking out certain information
Do not crop the image of your ID such that any portion of the ID is removed including edges

Does basic verification work for anyone at this Exchange? I'm just curious if the enhanced verification only happens for US citizens as they are trying to comply with bank laws or something with this antagonizing process.

Usually it doesn't. Enhanced verification works for almost all countries it just takes months, read the comments here. The automatic process itself shouldn't take more than 10 minutes but you will probably have some error.
430  Economy / Economics / Re: why bitcoin is so much special than others currency ? on: December 14, 2017, 06:08:09 PM
Its simply because the value of bitcoin goes up most of the time so it is much preferable to invest on it versus investing on banks where the annual interest is too low that you cant even feel your profit after a year of investing on it.
Bitcoin's market values depend on demand and supply. Presently the demand is continuously rising which affects the price of bitcoins and even bitcoins have crossed $17,000 and again came back.

This is the reason behind why bitcoins are popular currency than other national currencies. The price for bitcoins in 2009 when they were launched was 0.3$-0.5$ which as compared to now is beyond imaginations. That is a wide growth which can't be neglected and many more investors then invest huge amounts in bitcoins.

That's the problem though. Demand will eventually fade away and bitcoin will have no real support, the price is just artificial. No one uses bitcoin, is just a lot of people that want to get rich fast which maybe benefits bitcoin short term but what's going to happen long term?
431  Economy / Economics / Re: why bitcoin is so much special than others currency ? on: December 13, 2017, 10:49:02 PM
In many ways Bitcoin is similar to traditional currencies: it is recognized and has a value, it can be used to buy things, and its value can change according to market variables. Increased demand for Bitcoin over the last few years has seen an increase in its circulation and its value. Last year, Bitcoin became more stable than gold, and earlier this year, the price of a Bitcoin surpassed that of an ounce of gold for the first time. Bitcoin is the Uber of cryptocurrencies: the biggest, baddest and best-known, but not the only one. Add it up to Litecoin, Monero and all the others, and the total volume of virtual money floating around the internet, out of the reach of governments and banks, is a whopping $100 billion.

Actually in many ways bitcoin is not similar at all to any currency. It doesn't have intrinsic value like euros or dollars have and yes you can buy things with it but it's not easy and it's also expensive as fuck sometimes depending on the fees.
432  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin futures on: December 13, 2017, 10:46:52 PM
As far as I know, bitcoin futures does not affect bitcoin price directly. When you buy buy futures, you can go short or long on bitcoin futures, and by that you expect the price to go down or up respectively, in order for you to have a profit (but you are not buying or selling bitcoin).

The "problem" with futures, is that you can now win money if the bitcoin price goes down. What everyone is saying" is that there is a great opportunity to buy bitcoin before the futures goes live, and by doing this you are making it's price go up (specially if you are a whale, like the Wall Street guys are). When futures go live, those guys can just short bitcoin, and at the same time sell the bitcoins they've bought before the futures went live. Since they have plenty of money, they might be able to have some influence on the bitcoin price, so by selling coins, they will be winning on the short they did on futures, and will cash out some profit out of the bitcoin sale as well.

After this they can go long on bitcoin futures, and at the same time buy bitcoin that is now at a shorter price, and again win on both sides. Of course this is not that linear, and the market will still be unpredictable, but this is a possible set up made by Wall Street whales, and this might be a way for the futures market to influence bitcoin price.

Thank you for a clear answer Smiley

I suspected this was the case, ie that futures trading itself has no impact on the bitcoin price, but rather adds an incentive to manipulate the bitcoin price.

However, is it not just as likely for the whales to go long & manipulate the price upwards as it is downwards?

Maybe but Wall Street whales aren't going to invest a lot of money into bitcoin simply because it's too volatile. If many of them work together they could do anything they want with bitcoin's price but that would be market manipulation which is illegal.

How is such a thing proven? has there been any cases where people have been found guilty?

Because I feel in order to not bet against (& screw up) each other A LOT of whales have to come together and bet in the same direction.

Well yea, plenty of cases. I feel that it would be much more obvious with bitcoin since the volume isn't really that high.
https://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/trader-sentenced-in-spoofing-case-involving-market-manipulation

It's not easy to get caught but it's not impossible either.
433  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: December 13, 2017, 10:44:49 PM
really annoying. Did anyone try to contact them on twitter?

Like thousands of people. They did respond to like 6-7 people and solved their tickets, randomly it seems but not much more happened so it's pretty much useless to contact them there although they did say they would hire more people to help with their support team.
434  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!! on: December 13, 2017, 10:37:33 PM
I got this now ... let's hope it's true!!

"We are actively training new personnel and streamlining our processes to better handle the increased demand. Specifically, in the next week, Bittrex will be more than doubling our current support staff to handle the growth. The hiring of support agents will continue until we can provide the support our customers expect."

They are verifying accounts regardless. So you should be fine. They are just extremely slow and unprepared. Yes they are unprofessional but at least it doesn't seem like a scam, at least apparently.
435  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex ignores thousands of clients! on: December 08, 2017, 07:22:45 PM
Is that right:

1. Basic account does not longer support any withdraws.

2. You need enhanced account to withdraw but this does not work properly for most users

3. Ouside of the US You cannot get an enhanced account anyway?

Not true, you can get verified and enhanced from many countries. It just takes long no matter where you are from. If you are enhanced you will be able to withdraw. Some people had problems with that but they usually solve it if you are enhanced.

This is so really hard to say special cause its difficult to explain specialty in short word
Some of them  are given below:

It’s a type of currency which know as peer to peer currency and this permit to send and receive money without help of broker or third party involvement
Every bitcoin holder can review their account information after sending money or receiving money from their account.
After all kind of transection bitcoin recorded sufficient proof of every client and account holder through different facilities.
Buying and selling process is so much easier than other currency
I think above mention quotation is sufficient for proving that how much special the bitcoin is.
Always bitcoin is better than all currency .and  to be sure, there is a big difference between the price of btc and for others currency, as well as bitcoin has a many advantages, and one of  the most important is the  permanent profit especially when you investing a big value of bitcoin .
and the losses are always few compared to others currency so bitcoin is always special and hopefully is will be forever.

Not true. Bitcoin has no advantages. There are many many coins that are far better than bitcoin. The only thing ''special'' about bitcoin is that it was the first to be introduced. That's it. Now it's not even used as a currency which is what it was intended to do. Pure speculation coin.
438  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin futures on: December 08, 2017, 02:46:44 PM
Thanks everyone for your contributions to the subject, but so far I have not recieved any clear answer to why the bitcoin price would be affected by bitcoin futures trading (that will be settled in fiat).

Sure, the launch of bitcoin futures is good news to bitcoin, but I've seen journalists speculating in traders shorting bitcoin etc and what effect that would have on the bitcoin price.

Why would it have any effect at all?

Ok, so you don't understand why something that is being traded in fiat would have any effect in bitcoin themselves, right? I'm not an expert myself in futures but this guy did a pretty good analysis:

https://masterthecrypto.com/will-bitcoin-futures-affect-bitcoin-prices/

It seems that, for example, for gold it didn't work too well short term but eventually was meaningless so you might be right. Bitcoin might not be affected at all by it. However because bitcoin is purely speculative right now, I'm sure it will drive the price even higher, hard to tell right now because it's already climbing hard anyways.
I did not understand from this analysis. Why do you think that someone will use the services of the Chicago stock Exchange. This analyst of the last century. Now there are many exchanges which will continue to trade in real time. I think the price of bitcoin will remain volatile. On the Chicago stock exchange will not be simple clients wishing to sell or buy bitcoin.

What? The link I mentioned just analyzes what happened to silver and gold when futures were introduced and the conclusion was that nothing relevant happened, just a bit short term but long term was meaningless.

Yes! Finally verified! Ticket #348219 - solved

I was sending a messages in my ticket regularly, there was no answer. Now I decided to send this message:
"Damn slackers, when you finally will start to solve your client's problems? A lot of people are waiting so long to get verified but you just ignore everyone. Fucking scammers! Worst support ever! Going to report your company to FBI for scamming! :@"

Plus I have sent an e-mail addressed to bill@bittrex.com and ryan@bittrex.com:
"Hello again!

You have a worst support ever. Is it your company's policy to ignore your clients, or just a support are slackers? I`m going to report your company to FBI for scamming. I know, a lot of people already did that, and I will be the one more person!"

Got verified after 10 minutes..... And reply in my Support Ticket was from Ryan.

And what did they tell you? Can you post the email image because I honestly don't really believe you. I don't know if the best approach is to insult them and threaten them, could work but could also just easily backfire on you.

I agree with you, and I understand that insulting is a bad way to solve problems, I`m actually against insulting, I prefer to live in peace. But what else should I do if they pay no attention to they customers? Should I beg them to verify my account? I wouldn't do that if I there would be any response from a support team, not only one message from a bot, that says, that typically resolving a problem takes up to 7 days but may last a bit longer due to active support ticket amount. A bit longer? 41 day (in my case)? Other customers are waiting for 50-70 days already, as I see in some posts. My very first message that I have opened a ticket with was fully polite and with respect indeed. Is it normal, that they allow people to deposit money without withdrawing options? Yes, I know that this is my fault that I have made a deposit on unverified account. But I have been registering on other markets before Bittrex and there was no problems with verification, so I was sure I will have no problems on Bittrex as well. I have submitted my info and documents, and then made a deposit. And I believe that I`m not the only one who was thinking that there will be no problems with verification.

The answer was:
Please accept our apologies for the delay. We are required to properly verify all users on the Bittrex Exchange to comply with governmental regulations and KYC (Know Your Customer) best practices. A manual review of your ID / photo submission was performed and your account is now Enhanced Verified.

Please make sure to enable two-factor from your settings if you have not yet done so. This will increase your limits to the max and further protect your account.

Please also make sure to always visit https://www.bittrex.com directly, rather then using a search engine. This will help avoid the possibility of accidentally providing your information to a phishing site.

Best Regards,

Ryan @ Bittrex

And actually I`m going to send them my apologies as well, as I understand that maybe I`m not completely right in this situation too. But at least the thing I did, worked for me.

Yeah, I know... I personally don't want to lick their asses either but also afraid to insult them because I do have quite a good amount of money now after bitcoin price is so high and I don't want to risk it. I will wait a few more weeks and then I will evaluate what to do. Thanks for telling us what they said.
