441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 29, 2020, 01:23:39 AM
For me, risking money by playing gambling should have an age requirement. Doing gambling shouldn't be a normal activity for kids as it can turn a person into something worst if things turned out bad.
Definitely yes! Because the outcome will be bad always. Kids, adolescents or even teenagers should really not engage with any forms of gambling because they're not yet matured individuals. They are still not well oriented when it comes to decision making thus result to money loss and the worst is a sort of rebellion since these activities (including any kind of vices) are mostly due to peer pressure Sad.
But for me, this kind of age restriction does have flaws and not actually followed by 100%.
True, specially in online gambling wherein there's a lot of kids that can bypass and still play even if they are below 18 years old.
Youngsters nowadays can easily lie about their age in making social media accounts, emails or just in order to play XXX games then what more for a not very strict gambling site. That's why parental guidance is advised.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What strategies do you use to make profits or to make your portfolio grow? on: July 28, 2020, 11:11:50 AM
I don't know what the token chasers or bounty hunters do but me as an investor of old coins, I find long term hodling working effectively for me. Well, maybe that's because the assets (particularly eth and bch) I hold already have a good foundation Cheesy. I do not worry if many dump today because I know that it will bounce back unlike to new sprouting tokens which became useless the moment whales dump their coins.
or you'd rather jump from project to project..?
I am not on the right position to say this but do you think it was really effective? I mean, it seems like a trial and error set up.
443  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin a currency or but also a money on: July 28, 2020, 05:15:00 AM
For me bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency is more of a currency rather than a money with a sure store of value. Though we all know that bitcoin is the strongest so far, we are not 100% assured that its price will not drop 0. What if we come to the point that all btc are already mined and then people suddenly lose interest to it thus demand will fall? Or what if all country decide to ban it thus lose demand as well? While on the other hand, everyone are willing to accept that shiny shimmering rare metal wherever and whenever. It will not be called precious for nothing.

Nevertheless, I love bitcoin more. Its volatility drive me crazy Grin.
444  Other / Meta / Re: Youtube embedding on: July 28, 2020, 01:11:28 AM
Well, if we are just talking about the sake of upgrading then I guess that's not bad at all. It was really a cool upgrade IMO. However, like the others said, it was not necessary since putting a url here works fine already Cheesy. And I'm also concern for its harmful effects, it surely makes our forum look messier not yet mentioning the large amount of time which can be wasted becuause of clickbaits.

Let's follow Twentyonepaylots — just upgrade your internet to avoid any problem lol.

Don't be a lazy frick to click the link and wait for the page to load, upgrade your internet!
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum : Its not too late on: July 27, 2020, 09:32:29 AM
I admit that I lose confidence to ethereum this past few months because it was outperformed by the other coins (my bad lol). But don't get me wrong, it's not that I no longer trust eth. Of course I still do! The mere fact that it remains as ranked 2 is enough reason to conclude that it is an excellent choice for investment Wink. Plus, Eth 2.0 will be released so we could really expect a pump soon. I'm sure many investors will become interested again with this coin.
Got some in my wallet and convert it already. Yeah, not too late to buy and invest. Since there is still a good chance that it may pump to 50% or more. And i bought it from $218 now its $306. Got indeed a good gains atm.
Ohh! I'm now tempted to convert too. I guess I'll risk some money from my fiat savings Tongue.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Are All Satoshi on: July 27, 2020, 06:00:54 AM
[snip]
I agree with you with your theory maybe it is a group of programmers and they all agreed to stay anonymous and choose the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto that is why no true Satoshi have come out yet.
No offense but I barely agree. If "Satoshi Nakamoto" is a group of programmers then why they would call their team that way? It doesn't make sense. Why they will use a name of a single person and not a more appropriate name for a team like Hack3rs or CryptoElites etc. I am not saying that he there is no chance that he created the whole bitcoin alone and don't have any companion at all. What I believe is that the name Satoshi belongs to a single individual only Cheesy
And we are all supporting Bitcoin but we could never be Satoshi Nakamoto.
Indeed, we can only be recognized as his disciples who continue his masterpiece.
447  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money and beat up inflation rate? Options please! on: July 27, 2020, 03:35:36 AM
[snip]

salary - ( minus ) savings = expenses  .  is that is  ? i still find this confusing
I think what he is doing is that he is allocating a certain amount of money from his monthly salary for his savings. Then the rest will become his budget for all of his needs and wants. By doing so, he can have a secured fund in case of emergency or sudden expenses in the future. Which is opposite from the usual scenario wherein people spend then the excess money would become the savings. If you will analyze, it's a matter of priority. He prioritize his savings first then the one which will adjust is his expenses Smiley.

they know that the products will become expensive during the day of that occasion so what they do is they buy early to save up as much as they can  .  there are indications on when to tell inflations will occur. all we need is to watch the news closely  .
Good move! Buying goods off their season is cheaper due to the low demand. You can actually get big savings with the same quality of product. However, this is not always applicable for perishable goods tho.
448  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money and beat up inflation rate? Options please! on: July 27, 2020, 12:51:57 AM
In order to save money  I am using the economics formula that I learned from my highschool teacher and the formula is " salary - savings = expenses ". I actually find it effective in saving money for years. But this saving has nothing to do to beat the inflation I think. We cannot control the inflation. Maybe we can beat inflation in a little way if we buy more goods before its price increases.

For a minute I was thinking and trying to understand what Op meant by saving money to beat inflation rate and your post seem to be the one pointing to that as some thing not realizable. Inflation rate won't be beaten by saving up money by just an individual. Government is the one that can beat or control inflation rate by policies of trying to reduce money in circulation by at least introducing higher interest rate to discourage borrowing in the system which means inflow of cash will reduce.
Yeah, you can't beat inflation. All you can do is to surf with it. Maybe what OP mean is that how to save money effectively until you no longer feel the inflation rate. That thing makes more sense now lol Grin. A sort of ways on how to become rich (by means of saving of course) until the price hike of goods/services will nof bothered you anymore.

Hmm, if I'm right on that one then I think saving alone won't work. Having a stable job alone won't work either. I realized that we should not save money just for the sake of saving, save money so that we can invest on the future. For me Work > Save > Business is the key to not feel the inflation rate.
449  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seeking help to post images on: July 26, 2020, 09:44:15 AM
Do i need to post on imgur community?Or i can keep that hidden?
No, that's not necessary but of course it's up to you if you want to post it in the imgur community or not. There's nothing to lose Grin. The important thing is you copied the html link of the uploaded photo and you're good to go.

Just another tip in case you will be accessing the website through your mobile device, if you are having a problem on visiting then try to set your browser into 'desktop mode' first. That's what I always do every time the site recommend me to use their mobile app lol.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 26, 2020, 08:02:01 AM
i wont be surprised if he comes back again for another fight in the next fight card as he did not take any damage and he might be planning to break some kind of record to appear in major events in a short space. Khamzat Chimaev will be in my radar for future events.
In part of Chimaev, I think there's no problem at all because just like what you've said, he did not took any damage and this man is really hungry for glory thus will grab any kind of opportunity present. But I hope Dana let him rest for now rest because he deserve it anyway. It's bad to train and fight only, adequate rest is a must too Smiley.
I was surprised with Fabrício Werdum as he could pull off a spectacular armbar which i did not expect as Alexander Gustafsson usually avoids going to the ground but Werdum showed his class on the ground. With Werdum never engage on the ground just run if not he will catch you somehow.
Well, that's how veteran BJJ specialist works Cheesy. Great job. But i admit that I feel disappointed with the results because Gustafsson lose on his debut as a HW.
451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 26, 2020, 05:10:48 AM
Me: Dad I want to see Khabib fight
Dad: We already have Khabib at home.
*Khabib at home Grin

Chimaev is not playing around Shocked! What a dominating performance for him against Rhys McKee. Imagine, he shift into another weight class within just 10 days but still won. He only got a short preparation yet he seems don't feel any major adjustments the way he smashed his opponent. Take note, with a 0 damage taken! I knew it, he can be a big superstar someday.
452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any tips or idea to earn money without investment or inviting friends. Need help on: July 26, 2020, 02:11:16 AM
Wow! You are just like wishing to have a money out from nothing. I think it is impossible for you to live in crypto sphere without making a single risk because we know that all of us here are investing to the coin we believe in order to earn. Hmm if you really don't want to spend money then I guess they're right, the only option you had is a working job. But first try to look at this picture, try to introspect and maybe this pic might encourage you to become more flexible and not only depending on a single source of income Smiley.

453  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Freelancer get payed by Bitcoin? on: July 25, 2020, 11:48:19 AM
I suggest not focusing too much on finding a freelancing activity that pays in Bitcoin.
I agree. Also, try to present your works on social media sites most especially FB. Those are the best place where large audience gather thus you can get greater chance of meeting a client. Plus, it is not as strict as the other freelancing sites so you can state there that you accept crypto payments Smiley. I know many graphic artists who already got almost half a million followers or even more by posting their works. See? There's a lot of potential can be found there, you should try too.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrow is a must to avoid disappointment on: July 25, 2020, 07:58:14 AM
So are you guys saying that having an escrow is not a #1 rule when it comes to conducting bounties Shocked? I'm surprised to be honest (sorry if I'm not familiar how things in the bounty section works) because I thought it was necessary even when when we are only talking about not so valuable tokens. Because money is money — every drop counts. All bounties should have escrow from now on like the sig campaigns. It is essential because it doesn't only protects the hunters against scam but also strengthens the reputation of the project.

Escrow is working only if you trust in escrow provider
Dude there are lots of escrow services to choose from. Here is the list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0 . Though not updated or maybe others are not yet included, I can guarantee you will feel secured if you have them on your bounty campaign Smiley.
455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will gambling signature promoters still get the same rate on: July 25, 2020, 04:22:10 AM
Actually, it's very rare to see a campaign increasing payment. Usually, the pay rate decreases due to certain reasons like the performance of the participants, they want to extend the campaign without releasing more fund and of course the market decline. I don't want to burst your bubble kabayan. Maybe you can be able to experience such thing if you go here couple of years back when the crypto market is very lively Smiley.
I love to see that happen but still subject to management discretion I am not into very high pay I just want continuity with a good rate just like the current campaign I am in I'm happy to be here promoting a reputable gambling site, with a good and acceptable rate I hope my current campaign last for three more  years or even longer.
I once became a member of the gambling site you are promoting and you are right! There is a pro and con. Con: you will have a low pay rate as you go down the tier. Pro: Consider yourself lucky for joining such campaign because it was reputable. No worries of getting scammed. And that is one of the longest campaign in this forum so you can exepect that you will continue earning (seems lifetime hahaha Cheesy).
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too dumb to undrstand on: July 25, 2020, 01:47:31 AM
One thing is for sure, avoid that website and choose an alternative. Because IMHO, that was too much for a KYC. Giving your name, address or even your contact number is reasonable but asking for your bank account is beyond the limits already. May I ask what website you signed in? For us to verify if it was legit/reputable or not.

I understand if you feel uncomfortable right now. Good thing you seek advice here first Smiley.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: July 24, 2020, 06:52:17 AM
If you guys think this news is insane then it's not. Yeah! It shocked me this morning because I can't imagine these 2 oldies will batte despite of their age but dude there is more insane, a match up you could never think of — Nate Robinson vs Jake Paul on the undercard. Like wth! I can accept that Jake will fight again since he already got a match with KSI before but witnessing an NBA player box? Hooh so unbelievable Shocked.
458  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on with crypto market? on: July 24, 2020, 04:10:31 AM
We have seen a lot of changes in the crypto market recently, not in terms of pricing but rather in terms of projects as we have seen much lesser new projects this year compared to last two years.
Yeah! I notoce the same thing. Not a good news to be honest but I think it's okay somehow because the market seems more peaceful. I can only think two common reasons why the number of projects are greatly reduced: 1) The market remains sleeping (not booming nor declining, just stabilizing) which means less active investors are circulating, totally not a good season to introduce a new ICO. 2) Due to previous many incidents of scam investments, ponzi schemes, failed ICOs etc., the new as well as the old investors never tried risking their money again. They take a rest on crypto or the worst is they stopped

We can expect a livelier market once bitcoin skyrocket once again. Just like last 2017 Grin.
459  Other / Meta / Re: Serious discussion and Ivory Tower on: July 24, 2020, 12:47:12 AM
Are people really influenced by the lack of signatures and post count increases?
in my case, yes. I'm not hypocrite to deny that posting on such threads will not affect my campaign. Don't get me wrong, I really like Serious Discussion. Actually I actively lurk and engage with some discussions there before because the discussions there really poke my interests especially when it comes to conspiracies and anything about engineering. However, I became a lot busier person now and my campaign is the only thing I can insert to my hectic sched. It's a sort of "responsibility first before leisure" thing Cheesy.
460  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How To Take Back Control Of Your Crypto Finances on: July 23, 2020, 12:10:33 PM
But I can't write it in mine language there is no sub section in this forum in my language and if I will post this in any other forum section than it will be count as a spam. But firstly I read the whole article and then I post the link in this community.
Fair enough. But much better if you not simply post the link here and let us figure out the hell out of it Grin. Imagine the sgnificant amount of time could be saved if ever you simply post your own thought regarding the topic and let the others read it on the spot. Plus, like what they've said, the site itself is so annoying based on them so doing it is really a better option.

Nevertheless, props to your effort of educating us.
