The luck giveth and the luck taketh away. Just look at the bottom of PPLNS stats for a graph, as well as averages for 24 Hours, 3 Days, 7 Days, 2 Weeks, and 1 Month, all of which are positive. 24 hours will probably drop negative once more shifts close, but nothing is certain until shifts are actually closed. Good, we have progress here. I see you have silently added the option to check luck for specific periods of time, for which suggestion a few people posted insulting comments towards me. Maybe these same folks will come back to reiterate their opinion that this new addition is pointless and as such you should remove it. Next step would be to add a table with proof of work for each block, so people can easily verify luck as presented by you. ? That's the same chart they have had...there isn't anything new about it AFAIK. What do you see that I do not? I got it too, but while Thunderbird shows the small attachment icon, when I open the email there is no attachment.
I also opened it in my webmail and again - attachment icon present, but no attachment.
I assume the only way to get infected is by opening the attachment, right?
Just loading the email is harmless.
Also this must be from the MTGox leak as the email I use here is different and unique - I only use it for forum registrations.

You didn't read what I posted just 7 minutes ago, right ? Nothing in relation to DeepBit actual speed. But there is an acknowledgement of the problem and that he is working on it. Which is probably being slowed with questions like, is the pools speed really that low right now? while there are connectivity problems. My question had nothing to do with the guy who wanted to stop a transaction. It was just a general question. Even without connectivity problems the 1TH/s speed is well below what https://blockchain.info/pools shows. Your question was answered before you asked it. We are experiencing connectivity problems for about 3 hours now.

No, I wish to stand outside the restaurant saying that the restaurant and the food are good in general, but can be improved.
What is so bad with adding luck per user selectable length of time to the already good selection of statistics?
How is that against the interest of pool users?
Wouldn't you like it if you could see what the luck was for the past 7 days for example?
I've said this before, but I'll repeat myself. Why does it matter? Luck is luck. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. You have no control over it. If you're considering going to a pool because it has "good luck", make sure you throw salt over your shoulder first. M If it doesn't matter then why every single major pool including BTCGuild display luck? You are making a point that luck does not matter, yet the reality shows it does: people use it to feel good about their choices, regardless of being completely random. GHash.io doesn't have and luck stats. Ghash.io have a total proofs of work per block data, from where a 6 years old could easily check luck. Who monitors the monitor?  Realistically a pool admin can always do shady things behind the curtains, so that is why it is important to have transparency in order to sustain trust in its user base by giving them the power to check/verify. When an admin refuses to publish specific data, that doesn't speak very well for the transparency of his service. There is a saying that goes: if you want something you will find a way, if you don't then you will find an excuse. |

Read the new rules that take place in feb and come back here to the doctor.
Pretty simple cex.io got a huge edge by allowing trading without asking for id's and frankly it is why I used them as trading the LTC I earned and the NMC for free was nice.
But on feb 4th they will comply with law and you will have to give them an id. A real copy of your passport, your drivers licenses plus proof of address. Since I did this with vicurex
I do not want to do it with cex.io
So I am back for good. I am pointing 122 gh. here all in sticks.. ANTminer sticks are absolutely amazing. Right now the doctor has not done the software for them and you need to do the custom cgminer build from antminer on github… I am running 36 sticks on a 49 port hub hashing just under 72 gh.. I did a software overclock to 2gh a stick. they do not pull much power. I am really happy with them… These are the next best thing. The lowest price on ebay for 1 is about 93 for a pair about 180 and someone is selling 5 for 429 .
They will drop in price and when you get one to compare to the old asic miner stick you will see that most likely these are the new asic miner stick ( with a new name AntMiner).
My guess is Aisc miner backed these and in the next 2-3 months we will see 100,000 plus get sold.

I think it might be wise drharibo to post what you actually updated in your latest software update mentioned in post #5475. Now I know the answer is right above it. But as our bad luck has coincided with that, I think that is where people are getting the silly idea you changed how we mine or something.

When i started mining here, 7 days to find a block was the norm. I was in the top 15, mining for the last 2 months but the latest series of DDOS and the data centre incident made me switch to Ghash.io It was a good run, mined around 80BTC. GHash IO ? Bankers and rich guys, centralized banking to bitcoin ? That what you want ? Or do not care, just want BTC. Looking at the graphs on blockchain.info, ghash.io has an estimated 37% of the hashing power for the past 24 hours. They have been growing rapidly, and were at less than 25% a month ago. If they continue to grow at this rate, it's highly possible they could control 51% of the network. DeepBit used to have 51% of the network, but why abuse a system that brings you steady income? If you perform a 51% attack you would only kill the trust in the network and so whatever you managed to steal will be worth much less. And I doubt that this will happen, because people (including me) will move to another pool if they ever approach 50% OK my point to you is, we will miss your help here. Thats personal, the way it should be. My best result is with a Jupiter running at 641GH/s with 0.58% HW.
Using 211.
Highest temps are the 2 chips at the back: around 70 during the day.
I can probably push it more.

I for one would not care what the luck was within a certain time period because it has absolutely no indication of future luck.
This. Past results do not indicate future performance. You hear this time after time elsewhere, yet people still do not understand. Yet every pool has a luck index, because wait for it... it does not matter  |

Btw does anyone know why the total pool hashrate on the website doesn't reflect the Blockchain diagram? https://blockchain.info/poolsGhash.io and BTCGuild are shown with the same hashing speed, yet the former is above 4PH/s and the latter below 3PH/s. |
