In last day Russian attacks end with much more deaths of civilians. They shooting at houses and apartments of people, hospitals, kindergartens, Kharkiv city municipality and Kyiv TV tower. They are still say that Russia attack only military objects, but it's rude lie. If they're doing such things, seems that they have no limits...
It's very likely that Belarus army is going to join Russian forces in attacks. And from what I read, Ukraine would respon with rockets attack towards Belarus.
Not sure how much clearer i can be. US will never allow Cuba to enter into any defensive pacts (regardless of how lawful/democratic/liberating/profitable... it will be for Cuba) that would allow other countries to bring nukes into Cuba. China will never allow Taiwan to enter into any pact (regardless of how lawful/democratic/liberating/profitable... it will be for Taiwan) that will allow 3rd country to bring nukes into Taiwan. Now you can argue whether it is right/ethical/lawful etc... but it'd be silly to argue the fact itself.
I'm not sure why you're talking about brinngin nukes. Poland and Baltic states is NATO members and there is no nukes there. How Ukraine would be different? What if Finland will decide to join NATO? Russia will start war against them too?

Putin has lost his mind.  The only thing he can think of is "denazification, denazification, denazification, denazification,..."

Whatever that means. I am afraid he really means the extermination of Ukrainians.

The tragedy and the scary part is that there are a lot of people in Russia who agree with him.

I understand how you feel, so just posting facts from wiki without comments.

Quote
Ukrainians in Russia make up the largest single diaspora group of the Ukrainian people. The 2010 Russian census identified 1.9 million Ukrainians living in Russia
...An estimated 340,000 people born in Ukraine, mostly young people, permanently settle legally in Russia each year.
...The number was estimated to have risen to 2.5 million as of December 2014. *(After annexation of Crimea)
...As of September 2015, there were 2.6 million Ukrainians living in Russia
...Over 420,000 asylum-seekers from Ukraine had registered in Russia as of November 2017.
...Assimilation has also been a factor in the falling number of Ukrainians; many intermarry with Russians, due to cultural similarities, and their children are counted as Russian on the census. Otherwise, the Ukrainian population has mostly remained stable due to immigration from Ukraine.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainians_in_Russia

I hope you understand how crazy Putin's idea of reuniting the Russian people is.

If you follow this logic, Ukraine should be bombing Moscow right now, and annexing Russia because there are millions of Ukrainians in Russia.

The whole thing is just mad.  Killing Russians to reunite Russians.

He would make more sense, if he was honest with the world and say, I want the Ukrainian territories.  This talk about the genocide of Russians by the Nazi regime, or "denazification" just confirms that he has lost touch with reality.

He will start carpet-bombing soon, I'm afraid.  This will be the end of his reign.
Seems to be happening already.. and he's been using scatter bombs and vacuum bombs (assuming the flamethrower..).
I'm not sure when people will realize you can't negotiate with this man.

Western politicians need to read the mainstream Russian media.

Here is an article from Feb 26 (taken down now) but will give you an idea of Putin's rationale for solving the "Ukrainian Question":

https://web.archive.org/web/20220226051154/https://ria.ru/20220226/rossiya-1775162336.html

Putinians think Russians in Ukraine love to live under an autocratic, fascist dictatorship.  How about Russians in Lithuania, Poland, Germany?

According to this logic, Russia should annex any country that has Russians as its citizens.
444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WW III ? on: March 01, 2022, 08:08:23 PM
So why is he bombing Russia and killing Russian children?
He wants to redraw the map I guess? What's your opinion?

And I want a pony for Christmas.  We all want something.

What Putin wants is actually irrelevant.  Why?  Because to achieve his mad man dream he would have to kill millions of people.

And the world would not allow this, not in Europe.  The Soviet and Nazi occupations are still fresh in the memory of decision-makers in Europe.

Once he starts killing civilians en masse, this will lead to his fall from within Russia.

I predict that because of this conflict, both the Belarussian and Russian regimes will fall.

PS. You cannot kill an idea of freedom.
445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WW III ? on: March 01, 2022, 07:49:53 PM
I see something here, US is simply the main focus not Ukraine!
Well, if you're asking whose fault is this, it's mainly Americans'. NATO, whose leadership is the US, keeps the expansions in the last two decades. Romania, Moldova, Poland and Lithuania, that are around Russia, are members of NATO. The US wanted from Ukraine to also be part of it, something Putin would definitely not want to as it'd block him from the black sea.

Putin isn't going to stop with the bombing until Ukraine becomes theirs. He's already referred to Ukraine as Russia. If the US doesn't step back and admit defeat, Putin's going to stretch it to the extremes. If that's the case, then it's a WWIII confirmed.

So why is he bombing Russia and killing Russian children?
446  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine Invasion: Will Sanctions Alone Stop Russia? on: March 01, 2022, 07:33:13 PM
The effect of the sanctions on Russia has started hitting its economy hard. The Russian ruble has lost 30% of its value trading at 100 to the dollar. Economists has warned that Russian economy could shrink by 5%.

But Putin has shown no sign of slowing down the invasion. His response was placing nuclear deterrent forces on high alert and continuing missile attack on key Ukrainian cities. It has also being rumored that Belarus can now be a base for nuclear weapons and its troops can invade Ukraine at anytime.

Putin's actions is showing the Russia is economically fortified or Russia is important to NATO and its Allies economically.

Do you think sanctions alone can stop Putin?

whats going on with you folks why can't you just seperate ukraine from Zelinsky and his corrupt leadership?

You obviously know nothing about Ukrainian politics.  He is the first and the only president who united Russian and Ukrainian-speaking
Ukrainians behind their country, Ukraine.

That is why he is an existential threat to Putin's plans for annexing Ukraine.  Never mind that he is for democracy, EU, and NATO
memberships.

He has a vision for his country that many Russian Ukrainians want.  They don't want another Lukashenko or Putin ruling over THEIR country.

Watch videos of ordinary Russians standing unarmed in front of Putin's tanks and soldiers and tell them to go the fuck home.

Putin already lost this war on multiple fronts.  The only question is how much damage he will still cause before he is captured and/or executed.
447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why putin choose winter? on: March 01, 2022, 07:13:24 PM
  • This is not the middle of the twentieth century and Ukraine and Russia have extremely developed infrastructure, (yes, the quality of the roads sucks), but this is enough to lead an offensive in any weather. And if you didn’t know, heavy Russian tanks move perfectly off-road.
  • The size of the Russian ground forces is only 280,000 people, which is half that of the United States, despite the fact that the United States is surrounded by an ally and militarily underdeveloped Mexico and Canada, while Russia has the longest borders in the world and borders with dozens of countries.

  • Are you seriously ? On the tracks? Do you know how long a tank column lives on the march, along a highway that falls under the action of anti-tank units? Definitely did not serve in the army! Smiley

And in case you didn't know, heavy Russian tanks move perfectly off-road.
Look here - video from the exercise site, rough terrain. Tanks, Russian. The day before yesterday. Let them know they're doing well Smiley

    https://t.me/vzglyad_ru/44216
  • And why did you take only ground troops? Do you think that combat confrontation occurs only with ground forces? Take, for example, the topographic service of the RF Armed Forces - there are generally a couple of thousand people there! Smiley
I tell you: today the composition of the army of the Russian Federation:
    - Ground troops
    - Aerospace Forces
    - Air and Missile Defense Troops
    - Navy
    - Airborne Troops
    - Special Troops
    - Strategic Rocket Forces
    - Space Forces

The total composition, regular - about 900.000 (2020), and 2.000.000 in reserve.

Tell me - do you really not have information or are you deliberately distorting reality? Smiley

He has already overextended himself militarily.  That is why he asked Lukashenko to lend him more fresh bodies to fill the void and start firing rockets from Belarus.

He will start carpet-bombing soon, I'm afraid.  This will be the end of his reign.

NATO will be forced to join to establish the no-fly zone to prevent a large-scale genocide unless oligarchs will take him out first.

Not sure why Ukrainian forces are not dropping a few bombs (front, middle, and back sections) on that 40-mile convoy, north of Kyiv.
Or maybe they already took care of this.
448  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine Invasion: Will Sanctions Alone Stop Russia? on: March 01, 2022, 05:54:09 PM
Do you think sanctions alone can stop Putin?

Nope. Putin already knew these would happen and he decided to invade Ukraine anyway, which means he don't care about any sanctions, boycotts or whatever the west is going to throw at him. Russia is a superpower and superpowers get what they want. The US is also a superpower.

In the end, Russia will get what they want or they will be no more.

We all speak of how this forum is one big family. A family to the best of my understanding supports one another through thick and thin. I'm concerned about our brothers and sisters in Ukraine who are members of this forum and have been displaced from homes for safety mainly and other reasons this period.

-What have members of this forum done individually and what can we do to assist our brothers & sisters from Ukraine?

don't donate for these ukranians, if they would hand out their leadership to putin to be put on prosecution this war will be history and we can return to being communists

Like others already said, just fuck off you little cunt.
450  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POV] War in Ukraine on: March 01, 2022, 05:02:07 PM
there was no ukraine invasion the military operation was executed to catch the ukranian regime that violated human rights,

Nice euphemism. Not an invasion but a military operation.
I'm pretty sure when Wehrmacht entered Poland it was also a military operation, not an invasion to them. When the US went to Vietnam it was also a military operation. Does it change anything?
Civilians are being shot at, shelled, bombarded, their houses burn, their children bleed. Stop spreading Putin's propaganda and accept the facts. They are using artillery and planes to bombard residential areas and lying to their own citizens saying that they're using precise strikes and targeting only military objects. Russia is one big joke starting from their lying politicians and ending with their junk equipment and lack of supply lines.

Yesterday some Russian soldiers run out of fuel and went to a police station to ask for some. Of course they were captured and disarmed. The stupidity of the Russian army has no limit.

you act exactly like a nazi, stop supporting nazis and racism, let go of wokeism, and hand out zelinski to putin for trial at the UN.

also all lefties that put fuel into this war by selling weapons need to be put to their nuremberg trials.

and also all conservatives siding with this woke movement that created the crisis.

What woke movement?  Putin is killing Russians in Ukraine right now.

Blow up all gas pipelines from Russia.  Cut them off.

Umm wtf now you want to cut Europe from gas Huh Dont think taking Europe hostage is a good idea

You have to pressure the oligarchs to stop Putin's adventures.

I suspect he will drop a nuclear weapon very soon.  The only question is where.  Probably somewhere away from the future Russian Empire territory.  Maybe some military base on some island away from everything.

You appear to be very emotionally involved in this conflict, which is understandable, but it looks to be clouding your judgement. EU and US indicated that they do not want to make this regional conflict into a global one. There are always two willing parties to every transaction. EU continues to purchase gas from Russia, and over Nordstream 1. Ukraine trying to terrorize people into direct conflict by blowing up pipelines going to EU, will surely be counterproductive to Ukrainian cause. If anything to make up for lost capacity they'll be forced to turn on Nordstream 2

Germany is already looking at alternatives.  Both pipelines will be closed.  The issue is the timing.

The current sanctions are ineffective as long as Germany is buying gas and the US is buying oil, the impact will be minimal.

If they seized all Russian state and personal assets abroad and stopped ALL trade with Russia, closed airspace to Russian planes,
and closed all borders to Russians, this conflict would stop in days.

The US (Biden) has the power to end this conflict but it chose not to act.

Blow up all gas pipelines from Russia.  Cut them off.

The problem I suppose is that sanctions etc need to go far enough, but not too far. If Putin is put in the situation where he has nothing left to lose then he becomes even more dangerous - difficult as that is to believe. It's not great if he gets pushed into a corner where all he has left is the nuclear weapons.

You will always have this risk, as long as this monster is alive.

I hope there are sane, peace-loving Russian people in Putin's military who can disable his nuclear capabilities.

We know how the Media can sometimes not be trusted and can come under heavy manipulation and influence people's opinions on specific matters, having this at the back of my mind, i can't help but wonder if there is a possibility that Putin has been painted as completely bad to the benefit of others who are in disagreement with him.

-Is Putin's issue with the west and Ukraine a personal issue or really a Matter of National interest?
-Do you think Putin's invasion was unprovoked?

(I want personal opinions and not media generated opinions)

its a human rights issue, zelinski/his regime violated human rights in ukraine was invaded to remove his corrupt regime.
the western elite thinks if its a jew and a democracy at the top it can't be wrong but they will wake up.

No, Ukraine was invaded to annex Ukraine to Russia.

Putin outlined his plans in his papers.  He does not consider Ukraine as a separate country.

BTW, there were absolutely no human rights violations in Ukraine before Putin's army invaded it.

His issues are deeply personal. They are rooted in his personal insecurity.

Ukraine did not attack Russia.

Noone attacked Russia.

Russia invaded and is occupying parts of Ukraine and Georgia.

Hello !

I am DrBeer. I am a citizen of Ukraine. Ukraine, subjected to fascist aggression by Russia. There is a full-fledged war going on here, with death, destruction, grief, tragedies of people, families, entire cities! I see everything not from TV, I see it personally now - I now serve in the Territorial Defense.
To be honest, I did not expect such a wide, international support for Ukraine! This is the total support of all countries, all peoples - I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for everything - from words of support to financial assistance! For all the decisions that you make to help Ukraine, sometimes even to your own detriment. Thanks a lot !

We protect our homeland from world evil. We will win - victory will be ours!
The slogan of a free, independent Ukraine is "Slava Ukraine !"

Hang in there.  Do not let the evil win.  Fight Belarussian and Russian invaders to death.

Слава Україні!
Героям слава!
