441  Economy / Services / Re: [Need][Hire]Searching A Proposonal Signature Designer on: August 27, 2019, 05:20:49 PM
I need a Proposonal  signature Designer.
Are you looking for professional signature designer or proposonal? not an intentional mistake.
You are really a proposonal campaign manager  Grin

This guy has a bengali user handle. 'kakatua' as in a Cockatoo.

This kind of mistake is pretty typical of a guy that's had a Bengali medium education. Not that he is uneducated, its just that he never learned English as it is not considered important in Bengali medium schools.

You should check out some of the listings on OLX any Indian p2p marketplace. The spellings will make you die with laughter.
442  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] LocalEthereum Signature Campaign (Hero/Legendary) on: August 27, 2019, 05:17:35 PM
We are full! Campaign status changed to Closed for New Participants (CFNP).

We'll be live in roughly 2 hours from now.

Campaign's Round 1 will be over at 4 PM August 29th, 2019.

Are there any estimates to be made regarding continuation / 2nd period already?

Otherwise I guess all remaining participants will be without signature from Aug. 29th 04pm GMT+1 ?!

Subject to evaluation once the campaign is over. The decision lies on the shoulders of the CEO of LETH.

443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How close did they get to Blockchain before it was 'invented'? on: August 27, 2019, 05:13:40 PM
There is a big chance that they are that close or they even in blockchain without noticing it as they have the similarities in their principle.
Discovering something new is what most of us would like to achieve especially if we know that it has the potential to grow.

If they somehow realize it and they continue to further develop it then there is a big possibility that they were the founder of the current blockchain right now.

The idea of decentralization is nothing new. And you are right, they didn't realize how close they had gotten to the working principles of Blockchain tech.

I guess, legacy hardware, inadequate research and a proper need was not yet realized. This was right around the time when Nixon shock was taking its effect and USD had just started to lose its value when compared to gold. People hadn't yet lost their hopes on the US currency. So there was no compelling need for an alternative currency system back then.
444  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] LocalEthereum Signature Campaign (Hero/Legendary) on: August 27, 2019, 12:51:12 PM
Thanks Davis for the effort. You may remove your sig.

So far, Davis & Avirunes are dropped from the campaign on request.
445  Economy / Services / Re: Need 1 Indian user with good credit history who is having a credit card on: August 27, 2019, 11:40:27 AM
..I'm from India as well ..

That's odd, never saw you on the Indian section before. Why aren't you more active there? We can certainly use some experienced users engaging there more often..

The main cause for being inactive there is there's no moderation in that area of the forum after Benson Samuel left his authority. I've had been watching that section but nothing much caught my interest to post there. Trust me, you can't run a complete section/part of a forum with just 18-20 members making good posts there. I've not seen good amount of engagement between people there may be because as sardasa said, they might be scared of being trapped by officials just because Gov has the power to get us barred from using these services and even BTC. After their bullshit bill about banning cryptocurrencies in India, I believe people are trying to maintain a gap from crypto for some time till a final decision arrives.

I don't think your concerns are invalid. But understand this that even if govt. bans crypto enforcing it in a country like ours is not possible.

And any individuals engaging in crypto prior to any such ban would not be liable for whatever laws that may or may not come in the future. Because as of now, it is still not illegal to trade, hold and speculate on crypto assets.

Besides that there are quite a few of us that are trying to be the voice of the Indian section as a whole, finding a high-quality person to interact with would only make things better, not the other way around.

It is very easy to point fingers at 20 people, if the government wanted to do that, much harder and nearly impossible to do if the numbers were 20,000 instead.

Sorry Sardasa for the threadjack.
446  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Older GPUs - FREE on: August 26, 2019, 10:29:21 PM
Dropped price to $0!

id happily have them if i could get them to the UK.... always hated USA for there expensive shipping rates. can get stuff like this sent from china to the UK for Ģ5 yet the USA want Ģ30 a card,,,

Not sure what would be involved to get them shipped to the UK, but if you can figure it out and get me a shipping label they are all yours. Total weight for all the cards is 24 lbs.

If Vm1990 hasn't moved in yet, would you be willing to ship these to a shipment forwarding facility?

I am from India, and getting these cards here directly would be a fool's errand as they'd most certainly be lost or broken in transit.

If the cards are still available, please send me a DM.
447  Local / India / Re: Where are the founders of Co insecure? on: August 26, 2019, 10:23:19 PM
Coinsecure won't be launching again as they got hacked (even if RBI lifts the ban) so no point waiting for them. Benson hasn't been active since 2018 even though he logs in regularly.
Last year i remember Benson telling that they will back and they are going through legal things at that time and then they will relaunch again, since that i never heard about them in the public. May be Benson has no further updates regarding the relaunch, they gave a better rate than the rest of the exchanges and i personally like to see them again.

I hope Benson is seeing this thread, we would like to hear from you regarding this.

You know reaching out to him is not that tough. Just mail him on the Coinsecure email and he'll respond to you directly.

Coinsecure was his baby. When that went down I think he got demotivated. He has a family to take care of and I would not blame him if he chose to stay away from anything that would smear his name unnecessarily.
448  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Has anyone bought in baturaminers.ue? Is it reliable? on: August 26, 2019, 10:18:31 PM
It is difficult to reveal that the picture is fake for ordinary people*, but for the expert eye it will be easy to find out, but how did you manage to identify the original image?

9 out of 10 times such sites reuse pictures that are flipped. So a flipped image searched through google would land you on similar pictures and it is easy to track from there.

Also, even an untrained eye can look at the picture and see how uncanny it looks - that is the uncanny effect of 3D renders. Very rarely can we achieve a realism that does not have that uncanny look.

I've been a 3D renderer for a long time and the most accurate rendition of archviz is traditionally done through VRay and these days through Corona and Arnold.

In this one's case, it was clear that this was a 3D rendered scene and that too doctored. Not that hard to spot.
449  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WAVES Dex + Ethereum Tokens on: August 26, 2019, 10:06:53 PM
Well, I donīt see how this move can be bad for Waves.

And it seems also the Waves team does not have bad feelings about it as it seems Smiley

Waves DEX will receive a new wave of traders and assets that will affect positively on WAVES and other listed tokens. Soon, you will see new trading pairs with ERC-20 tokens.

Anyway it looks like Bancor (BNT) is the 1st token to be added, which took quite a while. Seeing ETH to follow and than gradually more tokens to be added.

Lets see how (fast) that goes and how (if) the WVS-price reacts on it.

Sheesh! talk about a dead cat bouncing!
There is literally no interest in waves anymore. It is like that distant ripoff of the Ethereum blockchain that no one even talks about. And I wonder how they are plugging in these tokens to their internal ecosystem. As far as I know, they manually approve every entry and exit of Bitcoins from their ecosystem. Have they come up with some kind of automated solution to accept the ETH tokens into their internal exchange and wallet ecosystem?

Umm yeah, I can attest to this Zica..

I remember having a token on their platform that I received from a project's ICO. Once I cashed it out I learned about the whole thing. Basically they match a 1:1 representation of Bitcoin within their network. This must be a chore for them and rightly so bottlenecks the withdrawal process of BTC from their ecosystem.

And no it is not automated, which makes it all the more painful as you are left to your own wits to sit and wonder if this is the straw that breaks the camel's back, if they THIS is the moment that Waves platform turns out to be a scam project and they run with your money. All baseless fear stuff that you mind conjures up you know.

IN anycae, I'm interested to know if waves would actually allow their own tokens to come into the Ethereum blockchain - if that happens, then they'll surely clog up the ETH channels once again and overload the Ethereum blockchain like Cryptokitties did.
450  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to buy crypto with fiat? on: August 26, 2019, 08:36:01 PM
Can you tell me what is the cheapest and safest way to buy crypto with fiat? I've heard that changelly now takes 7% fee and I want to know if this is a lot. Thank you!

The cheapest and the easiest way to buy crypto with fiat is through face to face deals.
It can't get easier than that. You just find the right person to trade with and trade face to face. You can probably get some discounts since you'd be paying in cash.

Well yes, f2f trades are the simplest.

But let's not forget that it is also the riskiest way you could trade fiat for crypto. And finding the right person to trade with is the key here.

If you go meet a shady person, they can loot you at gunpoint because they know that you would be carrying cash for the trade.

Glad to be onboard!
Welcome here! I am glad that we are adding new users!

Glad to be onboard!
Hello! Have you already bought tokens? or only plans to make a purchase?

Not really a new user guys, I'm the new Community Ambassador.

As I am not a part of the core team, any holdings of VSYS I have in the future would be ones that I acquire on my own. So yes, I plan to invest, nothing significant though.

Also, did you guys hear about the following update? :

"VSYS Soft Staking Official Rules - Cash Back Investment Program for V Systems (VSYS) Holding

As the People's Exchange, KuCoin has focused on fulfilling our mission to bring more value to our users. To maximize the benefits for users holding V Systems (https://t.me/VSYSOfficialGroup) (VSYS) on the platform, KuCoin has launched the VSYS Soft Staking Program.

452  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Canaan Avalon 1066 on: August 26, 2019, 09:08:30 AM
Hey Legendster, noticed you around but not so much in mining. You could confirm this for yourself as well. Maybe I got your background wrong, but here is a good places to start when thinking about getting into mining. First time/Small miner reference for getting started.

To answer your question generally their distributors are at least close to if not priced the same as the Canaan website. Looking at a profitability calculator for you, as mentioned in the thread above here's your current daily earnings. Currently you are looking at a profit of 6.12$ per day

So if it ships in October that's about 8 weeks away let's say 4 Diff adjustments. By then we might be something like 15-20% higher. Not sure how much gear is rolling out but I believe we are looking to continue to hit new ATH in Hashrate

So that's maybe more like 5$ a day profit which is still good. With a stable diff that leaves 340 days before you begin to ROI. Now that scenario is not going to happen, Diff will adjust and the Halving will take place before that. Then who knows hat price may do to change your daily earnings by then. Mining is always a tough gamble, and is a long term slow return generally.

I was somewhat active in mining way back in 2012 when I didn't have a profile here. And by active I meant I read.
I started off early in 2012 with mining on my PC through some small pools and then I think I moved to Bitminter later on, that was as long as cpu mining was profitable. For me that was until around the last few months of 2012. Then in 2013 I started digging into FPGA boards : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=172068.10;

I commissioned a local hardware training institute to build one for me, spend a few hundred usds with them, didn't get any results. Then after a major even in my life I found myself penniless. Ever since then I have only tried to get back into the mining scene. Almost did so back when the D3 launched for Dash, but I chose to broker some units instead of risking to mine myself. And that's pretty much all of my history with mining.

I can still get access to cheap electricity here, like I said earlier, but where I live right now, rates are $0.14 something.

I keep trying to hook people up into the mining scene and since I have been involved with cryptos for a long time, every time someone new to crypto meets me, they ask me about mining and its ROI. Keeping up to date with experienced users like what @Phillip and others share makes things a lot easier for me.
453  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Canaan Avalon 1066 on: August 25, 2019, 07:39:57 PM
$1600 for October batch (if you take 60+ units). Nice price....

Does not mention a low power mode in the specs though.

https://canaan.io/product/avalonminer-1066-october-batch/

The price seems off to me. I would have loved to get in on the action but ever since the crypto scene has started getting scrutiny in India, getting a crypto-miner into the country.

I have access to electricity as cheap as $0.08 @Phillip can you confirm if, hypothetically speaking, could make a decent ROI on this if someone bought it at $1700? I'm assuming the $100 extra because that's the least avg price required for shipping & stuff.
454  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New Bitcoin Debit Card Needed on: August 25, 2019, 07:22:56 PM
Yes, like others suggested try Monacoin cards or Crypto.com cards. They are presenting themselves as the next level of crypto adoption story so why not try them out? You can the cards that are being distributed in Singapore and US. For other countries you will have to wait and see.

I like crypto.com myself. Though I can never try their product being an Indian. Anyways, there was this other service provider that I want to suggest but I have no way of testing them out.
Polispay, can you or anyone else here try them out and let me (and others) know whether they are legit?
455  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Tradecex.co.uk new altcoin exchange on: August 25, 2019, 07:17:32 PM
This is going to be yet another exchange that will die a slow death because of lack of activity. But while it does so, it would push the narrative of crypto exchanges being unprofitable - just by popping up, existing, and dying.

Statistics are very one dimensional this way when it comes to portraying facts.

We do have seen the discussion on gambling board about an exchange that do have gambling feature and now here we are.Someone do made it and the fact it do idolize Yobit.net with having that Investbox feature which I do see as a completely nonsense thing to be add up.For op,have you seen on whats the result or the fate of Yobit?
I'm not saying that you would go on the same way but people are already hesitant on using up new service specially this market is saturated with number of exchangers already.

Yobit sucks not because the exchange is bad or that it lacks features, which it does. It is because of the way it is mismanaged to hell!
456  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H] $2000 Paypal [W] Bitcoin - Only through meetup in Norway. on: August 25, 2019, 07:11:49 PM
Hi.

Im running a business using mostly Paypal, so I earn approx $2000 per quarter through a verified Paypal account. Its a legit business but I want to put the money into crypto as for now. You will get info on the business when we meet up. No shady stuff.
I want to meet up in Norway Oslo Larvik Skien or Moss (or whereever is close to you) to secure a deal as this will be a recurring transaction if you are interested.

All the best,
Asgeir S K

PM me if interested.

Have you tried using Localbitcoins? You would find many people from Norway trading there. LBC enforces a sort of verification, so if you don't like that then you can try and get Ethereum through a similar site like LocalEthereum, they have no KYC verification and then get your BTC by exchanging it through Changelly or some other quick exchange platform.

Both these platforms provide you with escrow. Something you must have as a new buyer of crypto.
457  Local / India / Re: Let's vote for a new mod for India on: August 20, 2019, 06:47:50 AM
Appointing a mod now seems more like a matter of getting Theymos' attention..

We also need to figure out how we can make the community active and worthy here. As a mod, I think it'll be much easier to organize the Child Boards. Weed out the unnecessary clutter, especially in the translation sections.

A community means way more than just keeping the sections clean. In a community, people respect each other for whatever they are worth. They learn from mistakes, they move on. People build their opinion on personal experiences and so far, my experience has been - get extorted, get blackmailed, get tagged for shit you didn't do.

I'm sorry if this seems pessimistic but off late this is the kind of toxicity that has come out of this region. And this is not unique to this forum.

As of now, the regulatory framework is in a grey area so it is understandable that a lot of old people/ HODLers have gone inactive. Yet, we can create and outreach and make the India-sub a welcoming, informative as well as a sincere, authentic source of local information for newcomers.

It will be a few years before the gov decides on what to do. Remember how long the case for Aadhaar actually took?

For example, Someone like legendster and JSRAW could be the outreach for freelancing and work opportunities.

Despite his flawed sense of judgment. I still have no beef with Jrsaw. I chose to improve, he chose to ignore. So I move on. in my book, I win.

Heisenberg is delving into the technical and dev part and he could provide an outreach for interested developers. Dishwara seems to be pretty busy.

I can help on that end as I have had an extensive history with masternodes. I have helped out in the tech boards whenever I was able to.

Deadley has been an old community/ campaign manager.

Known him for a long time. Good guy but we have our differences. However, he is not untrustworthy.

Then of course we need our local spam-busters and Scam-identifiers too.

Can do and have done.

But then again, it all comes down to what you enjoy doing and as I have mentioned before I certainly don't enjoy interacting with most Indians on this forum anymore.

Although there are many exceptions.

We also have a host of CA's and Lawyers who bob their heads here and there at times.

Maybe we can get the CK guys to sign up here or reveal their useri-ds here..

458  Local / India / Re: Let's vote for a new mod for India on: August 20, 2019, 04:08:50 AM

I am not endorsing anyone from this list for Indian Mod or anything. my point was to include other Indians as well in any process or any voting for future because 5 people taking participation in any voting doesn't make sense IMHO.

My apologies, I was under the impression that Joel is Indian. If he's not then yes doesn't make any sense.

And I suggest, At this stage let Amish or Hunter do the talking with the other members or promoting anything related to the Indian community because I am on hold regarding your trust ratings.

But if I have to endorse someone. Then I will go with the following users:

1. Promod: I haven't interacted him here, but I think I know him in real.
2. Hunter: Cool dude
3. amishmanish : sometimes he and Hunter both sound carbon copy to me. Both are cool.
4. Patatas : We talked a couple of time. Yeah, he has a temper but a reasonable guy.

Having said that in the end, it depends on the community or highest reports stats when opting for MOD.

Patatas, even though composed at many times, is not suitable to be the Indian mod. He is not Indian and would not be able to connect with us here, understand the ground realities vs what he reads online.

Anyone that is chosen to be the Indian mod must at the least understand the difference between what's written on paper officially and how things work practically. Frankly - even you do not have that sense, else you and I wouldn't be having a point of contention about my past mistakes.

Second point, stop mentioning people's first name. This exposes their identity unnecessarily and could land them in hot waters or serve as ammunition for extortion, doxxing, personal attacks, like in the case of kabit9 vs me.

Lastly,

I would like to endorse Promod as well, but I have never seen him interact here.

Amish & Hunter are good choices, I would lean towards Hunter more than Amish because I have been noticing him from day 1. I believe his sense of judgment is not compromised. Neither is Amish's but I haven't had the time to observe him.
459  Economy / Reputation / Re: JSRAW and Me on: August 20, 2019, 01:50:52 AM
Just to add before legendster actually locks the thread. If you aren't actually selling your 3d services here anymore then why would you care if the trolls are using it against you? It doesn't really affect your other trades as well because you don't even offer it anymore. You shouldn't focused on the noise they are making because like what you said they are just "trolls" trying to ruin your time. If you do change your mind and offer your 3d services again the best way to comeback from this neutral rating is to have successful trades with your own portfolio and I know it will just be a matter of time before some positive feedbacks can offset the views of your non-bearing neutral feedback received from both Lutpin and suchmoon. Just don't let the trolls get in your head.

People are not rational.

Like Patatas said, this forum is used by many for fun. Whilst I take it seriously enough to try and make a living out of it.

Getting tagged by a DT guy here would undeniably bar me from participating in any signature campaigns and hurt my income! Income that is being done honestly!

And I am no fuckin burglar man, I have never cheated anyone by taking their money and not doing the work that was promised. Then why am I being treated like one?

I used images from the internet to pass off as my own work but if I was really incompetent then how could I have made it to top-rated sellers on Elance? and fiverr?

What I did was a wrong practice - I later learned and improved. My profile had a red tag for over a year and I had essentially left the forum.

I don't think this is fair and I don't agree with his red tag on my profile, I feel this is a wrong use of the DT privilege that JSRAW has earned.

If we go by this logic then every user who got red trust because they used google translate or plagiarizing content and so on should be given a second chance too. I am sure everyone of them need money as much as next guy and they need to put food on table also.

However, there is a difference between one person copy-pasting a text from google because he is unable to form two lines of a coherent readable sentence and does so repeatedly.

How about the fact that saint-loup got a 2nd chance to stay here in the forum when I busted him for copypasting? I can bring forward many cases like that.

And if you blame me from protecting my ass from getting sued for the hundred NDA's I have signed between my clients and I, or to protect my work from being reused w/o my permission - just like how you saw me do it. Then I'd say you are being partial and biased.

Where was your sense of judgment when kabit9 openly extorted me by asking me for money so that he would not dox my mother on escort sites?

I just hope you NEVER make a mistake in your life, and I hope, if you do, you don't go asking for a second chance.
