461  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea Jails US Citizen to 6 Yrs Hard Labor on: September 16, 2014, 04:54:28 PM
This story doesn't sound plausible to me.
North Korea does some very strange things. Their legal system is not at all fair, and revolves around protecting the reputation of Kim Jung Lee. It is not uncommon to have very vague charges brought against you and then be found guilty after the court hears very vague evidence. It is very difference from the rest of the world
I understand this. I am just saying it sounds like an excuse they made up to imprison an American. Fits right in with the pretext that North Korea is the best Korea and it is so great he refused to leave.

There are lots of idiots who believe that the press is painting NK in an enemy and that life is indeed beautiful in that concentration camp.
Unfortunately I know a guy that believes this.

So , it is highly possible that some idiots went there to catch a glimpse of the miracles of communism and dictatorship.

If the information is being stored and used to prohibit people in any way then I don't support it and it's likely going to be flawed on some way that will have a negative impact on many people in some from or fashion.

Maybe those people could get off their asses and get some exercise. I'm tired of society pretending obese people are not obese. Ever try being sandwiched between two obese people on a plane? Or paying the same for a ticket as someone 4 times your weight?

The government should do something about smelly people too. How come you have devices that can "smell" terrorists but not smelly people before being stuck with them in a 12 hour flight? How about dirty babies that cry non stop? I mean you make sure not to bring more stupid people on this planet. How come others don't do like me? The government should do something about this.

And... Viva El Bitcoin! Viva La revolucion! Gracias. Now keep that smelly crying baby quiet and away from ME will you?

How about we view this from another point of view.
Last time I saw one of the those overweight guys being brought to the hospital there was an army of doctors and firemen , they brought a crane to get him out of the window , and then they had to call in a special ambulance since he couldn't be fitted in.

Then they took him into hospital gave him the best treatment , numerous operations and for nothing.

So , why should we all pay for this circus when the guy could have been prevented to go whale size one or two years before?

So , why should we all pay for this circus?

Why should we? Cops. E.R. Ambulance staff. Can't we simply eliminate people who like to drink too much?  (and yes those are pictures of drunk women. Can't stand looking at drunk guys Wink

Simple solution. Make them pay for all the cost , police , ambulance etc if the help received was for something caused by their own actions.

So you get drunk the police needs to pick you up from the street and you need medical care to stand on two legs , pay for it.

Bitcoin > Paypal
Bitcoin is like cash you are holding in your hand. Paypal is like a credit card. Paypal can hold or freeze your account anytime they like.

Bitcoin is a currency , Paypal is a service provider.
That is the main difference.

And please let me know how paypal acts as a CREDIT card.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh says Bitcoin users could be jailed for up to 12 years on: September 16, 2014, 04:26:41 PM
Of course , that's the way the economic growth of Bangladesh will resume.

In a country with half of the children under 7 years old are underweight and 17% of all are suffering from malnutrition , prosecuting bitcoin usage is the key.

I don't get it; we can already calculate BMI, so anyone who wants to know, can know.  It seems like they're trying to create a database, and didn't want to ask people to submit a picture of themselves directly.
Exactly. The want to collect more without your permission. Databases of personal information are worth millions.

The government already has those stored from your id and your driving license.
And from facebook Wink.
467  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: September 16, 2014, 04:07:02 PM
Right Sector is storming the parliament (Verkhova Rada) in Kiev right now. Activists are clashing with the policemen. More headache for Poroshenko.  Grin

Right now the Rada is being protected by the policemen and the national guard. Right Sector Nazis are trying to break in, but none are successful. A few are injured in the scuffles, while dozens have been arrested and taken away.

"If this trend continues, in five or six years non-alcohol drugs will overtake alcohol to become the most common substance involved in deaths related to impaired driving."

Define safer...Wink

Oh niothor...

Anyone with any kind of experience in life knows this very simple, obvious truth.

I'll give you a hint - people who get stoned don't black out and drive their cars into other people. People who get stoned don't get belligerent and start fights. People who get stoned don't ever kill their livers and die of cirrhosis. People who get stoned don't pass out and then choke to death on their own vomit. Need I go on?

Also, webmd is a terrible source.

Please quote a source then to back up your own claims then...
As for what people do after smoking MJ , I had a friend who had a panic attack after smoking MJ and that scene was enough so I won't try weed ever.

the most common substance involved in deaths related to impaired driving."

Define safer...Wink

Define 'involved'.

Chronic users of marijuana will usually test positive even if they are not actually high, or impaired, at the time.

So it's one of them:
-either 1 in every nine americans is a pot smoker
-pot smokers are far more likely to be involved in a fatal crash even when not high

"Beijing is keen on substituting the US dollar with the yuan in all of China’s trade with other countries."

Does that include United states and the Eu?
Which make about 40% of Chinese trades?

LMAO.

fuck minimum wage. everything should be nationalised including homes who would belong to those living in them not landowners and the shareholder property owner classes should be exterminated if they put up a fuss.

And we got a commie right here , such a rare sight on this forum.

You want to do the same as the Russian did to the kulaks :?

THE CIRCUS, Part 2

Meanwhile In Ukraine, The Parliament Is Being Stormed, Again

Yesterday, in the aftermath of the popular anger aimed at Ukraine's president Porohsneko following his "Bohnering" on Ukraine's demands for a free trade agreement with Europe, we said the new president's days are likely numbered. Less than 24 hours later, this has started to play out, and as the live feeds below show, the Kiev parliament is being stormed by what appears to be discontent from the right wing "Right Sector" political group, despite today's ratification of the meaningless EU pact, whose purpose was to offset popular anger at the delay of the trade agreeement. Moments ago from Bloomberg:

UKRAINE PROTESTERS ATTEMPT TO ENTER PARLIAMENT BUILDING: UNIAN

Just look at the videos and the pictures.
There are more journalist there that the so called protesters.

The pre-mine wasn't suppose to be so large, I didn't realize the amount of POS blocks that would limit supply, again this was not considered.
In fact I do take this extremely seriously,  I don't however, take FUD seriously, because I realize the more FUD you generate the more publicity your giving me, whether thats bad or good depends on the person reading it.

Apart from he fact that you had no idea about how many coins you have premined (hint of a newbie dev), do you plan on destroying at least lets' say 75% of it?

People don't forget that he premined 3% of the coins at the start. It means that when the coin is half distributed ( if it reaches that step) he will be holding 6% of the total supply available.

And right now he holds far more in %.

@niothor, before making that post, atleast wait until the devs release the road map and see if they deliver on the features.

Anybody else have questions, just join the IRC...there are 3 devs logged in right now. Ask your questions there instead of posting blatant baseless accusations. I was skeptical also, especially about the premine and blockexplorer, but a few responses from the devs cleared up the confusion. And the main dev is a well known member in the community. The block explorer is being worked on btw.

Sorry to post something negative, but i've never heard of the dev before...

If Ocminer has no clue about who this dev is, sorry but it means the "dev" is just as shady as the coin.

No it is not. And they can't sue him for that either.
The domain is owned by the one that bought it until a judge might change that in case of copyright and other infringement.
Not the case here.
This is just cypersquatting.
If Dogecoin foundation contacts ICANN they can transfer the domain to them.

Based on what?
Do you have a clue about the rules and the TOS of ICANN ?

Secondary , what is the legal status of the dogecoin foundation? Crickets?

Where can i order my doge debit card to buy my dogeburger in my local doge fastfood ?

Still working on all that - but the burger is ready:  http://such-nom.com/?p=recipe&i=25

Actually I'm quite surprised that there aren't any doge card available which you can load.
Or maybe I haven't heard of them?

Can somebody point out such a service?

I would not reccomend investing in this coin.
This dev doesnt know dipshit
there's gonna be a 5% premine or so depending on stakin
http://imgur.com/vVSJcu0 - not very serious either
Ive asked him to delete part of  it , his answer was that he's not gonna delete money.
The ico price he asked for was 10k When we asked him why he would ask for such high price his response was
that he " saw other coins have around that price " The guy doesnt even know what market cap is.
Is this the kind of dev you want ?

Summary :
* There's no block explorer
* Dev team is 2 guys.
* If you go to the IRC channel you'll see these guys arent very serious about their coin
* Zero features
Only reason this coin's got a value is because there havent been a single decent pow/pos coin launched for a long time now.
This dev is clueless invest carefully.

The only reason 99% of the coins here are above one dogetoshi is that there are a few bag holders who still believe their crappy clone will make them satoshi rich.

And unfortunately if bag holders get hold of all the coins they can claim a fake price for it....
For example , I can sell my socks for 1 million dollars. Is that their value? No , but I can wait 20 years with them rotting to get the idiot who might pay for it without lowering the price

What he is going to achieve by sending those military personnel to West Africa? If he is serious, then he should order the major hospitals in the US to ship volunteer medical professionals to Liberia and Sierra Leone. May be he should learn something from Cuba. They recently announced that some 165 medical personnel would be sent to West Africa.

Yeah send the doctors there and then watch them as they get robbed , raped and murdered by the ...local population.

And about those Cubanese doctors , I wonder how many will get back Wink.
They have a history of "disappearing" once they reach other countries.
