Rather than creating an island nation solely for the purpose of using bitcoins we could focus all that effort and money into making the whole world using bitcoins.

While it does not specify “Bitcoin”,  one is hard pressed to find another digital currency that the report could be alluding to (Ripple perhaps?).  In any case, we’re fairly certain it’s not Flooz.

They talk about digital currency not about implementing bitcoin.

They might just as well release their own coins.

Does not rhyme with:
http://helperion.com/1176/ocheredj-na-parom-v-krym
http://dorinfo.ru/star_detail.php?ELEMENT_ID=16860

The question about the queue to get to Crimea using the Kerch ferry was answered on the 10th of July. The queue to get to Crimea is 1700 cars the number of cars waiting on the other side is 5. There are 4 ferries in operation.

Another person answered that they waited 14 hours for their turn to take the ferry. More ferries are being deployed, but so does the flow of tourists.

It's not that there is a lack of people wishing to get to Crimea for a vacation, but the routes and their capacity are limited, given a full-fledged war in Ukraine.

Well , then your claim that is very hard to get into Crimea and the numbers of cars that can be transported by ferry doesn't match the assumption that the resorts are full. Smiley))

Besides , we had a previous discussion on how the resorts are right now .. this couldn't have changed in one month.

Guys i'm thinking of taking over this coin and re-launching it. What does the community think?

You still want relaunch?  I say go for it, but keep same blockchain, etc.. or do a coin swap 1:1

You have to keep the same blockchain. Coin swaps are for amateurs.

I doubt he still cares about the relaunch since 1 month passed and there was no post in this thread

The article quotes as reference for the 50m deal this artcile:

Weird that there is no mention of those funds in here.

WESLACO - A center for unaccompanied minors set to open in Weslaco later this year will be the first of its kind in the nation, officials with a network of non-profits said.

BCFS Health and Human Services secured a multi-million federal contract to house young illegal immigrants at the site of the current Palm Aire Hotel and Suites on FM 1015.

Representatives with BCFS said the Palm Aire will undergo a multi-million dollar transformation.

BCFS runs a temporary detention center for young illegal immigrants at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

BCFS began as an orphanage for Hispanic children in San Antonio in 1944

"Children ... who weren't able to go into other orphanages. They weren't allowed at the white orphanages, they weren't allowed at the African-American orphanages," said Krista Piferrer, with BCFS external affairs.

The agency has grown into a multi-national network of health and human service non-profit organizations.

"We lead efforts that range from emergency management and disaster response to serving teens and youths who are aging out of the foster care system to serving impoverished communities and expectant mothers in the colonias," Piferrer said.

BCFS said the Weslaco facility will be completely self-contained.

"Our central intake facility at Weslaco will be licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a child residential center," Piferrer said.

Piferrer said medical staff will be on hand so children with diseases or injuries will not be transferred to local hospitals.

BCFS has a facility in Harlingen where they employ about 340 people.

The agency applied for a conditional-use permit with the city of Weslaco. City Manager Leo Olivares said the request has to go through the regular planning and zoning process. If approved, it will go to the city commission for a final vote.
1106  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Microsoft tells users to stop using strong passwords everywhere on: July 16, 2014, 08:02:10 PM
Users should use and reuse weak passwords for websites which don't hold valuable information, say researchers from Microsoft, overturning decades of accumulated wisdom on internet security.

By not having to worry about remembering complex unique passwords for every individual website, users can focus their efforts on recalling secure passwords for high-value sites like banking or e-commerce.

I don't see the "everywhere" from your title.

1107  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supervolcano in Yellowstone is going to Explode? on: July 16, 2014, 07:13:48 PM
Who wrote this article? The road between Old Faithful and Madison was NEVER closed. What was closed, and reopened on July 14 according to the Yellowstone National Park website, was a 3.3 mile one way side road called Firehole Lake Drive.

The more than 3-mile-long Firehole Lake Drive, an offshoot of the park’s Grand Loop Road located between the Old Faithful geyser and Madison Junction, is closed because melting asphalt has turned it into a “soupy mess,” said park spokesman Dan Hottle

Got a good feeling about this one. Buying.

How does a company with less than $500K of sales back trades of urea worth apparently $7.5 million? And they had shipments of leather and girls clothing about a year ago, which proves... um... what does it prove?

Best case I see for URO at this point is that it turns out you can buy 1 ton of urea with 1 URO... only to find that shipping of the urea will cost you $300 per ton and it's not part of the contract. LOL

But is this saying they do less than $500k sales as a company or just less than $500k with this particular bank? Big difference.

I think though someone who was invited at the behest of the Fijian government probably does alot more than half a million in sales.

what bank?
You posted that damn link.

1110  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Supervolcano in Yellowstone is going to Explode? on: July 16, 2014, 06:26:07 PM
Gee watch the movie Super Volcano from the Discovery net work, we are at 640,000 years now. From the last major eruption. Guess that make us 40,000 years over due for a major eruption.
To see how bad things will get watch the movie it is as close to what will happen as you are going to get. If you live with in 300 miles of Yellow stone when it goes say good bye.
USGS is painting a nice picture in hope it does not happen, but it will it is just a matter of when.

Volcanos have bad watches..
10k or 100k years delay for them is nothing.

If it happens even in the next 500 years , do you realize that probably none of your nephews who will witness this might even have a clue who you were?
1111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Moderated] [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea on: July 16, 2014, 06:19:27 PM
I think the issue is what is in it for Rivaa to tell the world?

Nothing, but GES and The URO Foundation *need* URO to reach <>$300 value in order for the concept to work and they could do that by, not posting web 'news' announcements which are meaningless, but by posting copies of actual contractual evidence and the paperwork they would have to have for the shipment transit.

As I said, people who scoff at the idea of URO=1tonne of UREA, on the basis that they can't wrap their heads around commodities trading, are just ignorant about the components of how transactions would work for the businesses involved who are actually shipping physical goods and who would not at all be 'giving away' UREA at sub-market prices, as long as the coin value floor can rise to meet the required price.

That is why GES need to come up with the proof of their side of the deal actually having substance.

Their 'press' announcements given on the website and twitter are simply not acceptable proof for the market.

They don't have to convince anyone here of anything, because no one here has enough money to matter.

They have to convince people who buy urea in bulk, which is no one on bitcointalk.

True. So why is that this coin is marketed through these channels like everything else instead of the companies working with someone on a fiat-uro exchange right away. That would save a lot of trouble no? Except that way nobody could by in at $1 and make a huge gain off of this. Everything just does not smell right.

Dev explained why he came to bitcointalk on the google hangout- it's because miners are needed. no better place to find them.

Lols, if you want heavy mining gear you don't open a thread here in the newbie hangout
There are lots of farms that deal behind the scene.

price of this should at least be around 30k?
at least 50K
mutialgo with little premine.
All coin amount is about 50K,include the premine.

Price doesn't care about algos premine or anything else.
Supply and demand  , these are setting the price.
only 30000 mined coins, so....you get 3000 ,that's 10%!!!! think about it .

I really don't understand what you were trying to say,
Please use full phrases with verbs next time.

1116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Groceries PLEASE!!! on: July 16, 2014, 05:31:11 PM
Why do you want to buy food for BTC OP? It will have way higher value than your fiat and u'll reget it.

If we all stockpile on bitcoins and nobody uses them , their value will be 0 in a matter of months.

Precisely... Isnt like 60% of bictoins right now dormant? I think that was the number I heard.... Imagine if 80% of them or more were being used daily. What would the price be then?

if 60% are hoarded, but there is a 80% usage, that means demand for bitcoins is high

put simply into small numbers.

1000 (where 600 are dormant in cold storage for hoarding) but people want to b paid in bitcoins as wages and spend bitcoins and simply buy bitcoins makes a NEED of 800 bitcoins.. then people will pay MORE as they fight over bitcoins because there is not 800 circulating. there is only 400. so hoarding coins helps the price

He said , IF 80% of the coins would be used for buying goods.
Not that they are.

Sorry guys I got out (100,000), made a good profit but moving to a different coin that just passed cso on my predictions list.
Good luck to you all. I'll be back to bet on some games tho Smiley
good luck sir, CSO has room to grow, only $23k market cap. In time will grow for sure, that's why it needs strong hands Smiley

There is no such thing as strong hands.
Just idiots holding like they have grabbed god.

I was also one of them but it turned out to be far more profitable just to run the waves and try to make most of the p&d.

I cannot imagine that what is the purpose of the dev... Why did he launched this coin.. It will be very difficult to make this coin active while %22 of the total coins mined in first month by a few person...

You just stated the 22% of the coins were mined by a few persons.
Now you get the plan of the "dev' ?
