1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new hype? Pyramid/Civilazation/Roman/Greek and now Ottoman coin on: June 14, 2014, 04:04:12 PM
But this applies to 95% of the coins, no?

I would say 99.8 % ,since only on the mint voting page we have 400 coins .. add the dead ones , those in progress...

Lets be honest.

We have BTC, LTC and what is next... are we sure that Darkcoin will still be in market next year? I don't think so, and what about Blackcoin, same here, it is now popular, but what about next year. Dogecoin was so popular, now nobody talks about Dogecoin anymore. The only coin that you hear is BTC and sometimes you hear LTC, and all the other coins are coming and going. Earthcoin was a hype beginning of the year, no nothing. What happened with Zetacoin, FTC, Namecoin, etc

Remove all those pumps on mintpal and 90% of the coins listed there are in fact dead. But that is altcoin world, everybody knows. A few will make big profit, and a lot will be too late and lose.

1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia, world's largest travel company, now accepts Bitcoin. Your thoughts? on: June 14, 2014, 03:56:24 PM
This is a big development.  Dish has a market that is concentrated.  Expedia is used world wide.

And yet we're going down because , (no its not a joke) China has banned bitcoin for the 6th time. Or it is the 7 already?

American vehicles break down too easily and have poor build quality, that's why they buy Japanese

That is beside the point.  Battle trucks are not designed for long-term use.

FORD trucks can carry 25% more human heads than Toyotas!  (81 cu.ft. vs. 44 cu.ft.)

Since you have that data on this trucks... do you have any numbers for the gas consumption , or range?
It's not like any rebel can get into a gas station and pay with his cc then go back to shooting.
1445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IL-76 with EU contractors shoot down in Lugansk. on: June 14, 2014, 03:49:39 PM
Ok, we're cool... About contractors (mercenaries): I believe there is a limited number of CIA and Blackwater operatives in eastern Ukraine,
but definitely less than the number of Spetsnaz ones (which started the trouble).

That thing is obvious to anyone with one functioning neuron..
Claiming that those rebels consists only of women and kids and retired military personal and volunteers is plain stupid.

But on the percentage , this is one thing I won't make any bets.

Don't know how many russian special troops are there and also I'm pretty sure that until now western undercover forces haven't made a real move and probable are just providing information and logistical training support. So , their number might be actually higher than the russian troops but with fewer soldiers fighting.

Thing will get pretty ugly when both sides will decide to send in more forces aimed 100% at combat.

Ps.
For your quote on the spetsnaz troops you'll be labelled as a fascist soon enough Wink

1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A new hype? Pyramid/Civilazation/Roman/Greek and now Ottoman coin on: June 14, 2014, 03:42:06 PM
In the last few weeks we had 5 ancient related coins.

Civilazation coin was the worst of it. DEV really sucks and destroy his coin.

Pyramid coin is still alive but not trading on any exchange.

Romancoin had a nice run to 600sats and gave IPO investors a return of 1200%. Trading on bittrex but volume is really low. DEV has some private problems and not a lot has happened in the last week.

Greekcoin is the only coin that is currently pretty active. They want to change the name of the coin because it like it too much to the country hype coins. IPO on this one gave a return of 800%.

Ottoman coin is the first X13 ancient coins, will be launched on the 20th of June, again there is a IPO available, with currently 1.60BTC deposit in IPO.

Based on above list of ancient coins, it will be a risky trade, either it will be pretty successfully like Greekcoin or you will have someone that is like Civilazation coin and it will look like a mess.

I've join the Roman and the Greekcoin IPO (and sold my IPO coins) and had a great return. Bought a few Greekcoin coins because of the name change. Civilazation coin mess things up by trying to launch too quickly.

Let's talk about those coins in two months?
I wonder how people who bought those coins from you will feel?

I couldn't get hold of any guys who called me stupid for not buying into aurora when it was past 50$ already.

Retarded question alert!! (im not from the US)

So i see people making fun/trolling/complaining about Obamacare everywhere on the internet.
Whats the issue with it?

First. Tell us how much you know about obamacare and what the law is about.

I really think that before answering to the main question in this thread everyone should post
I am / I am not from the us.

I find it weird that so many people here seems to know exactly how life is there and how things are going  in the US based only on the news and forum talks.
I know a certain guy who's never been there and has sworn to never set foot in the states but it's one of the most active persons in threads related to...

What about Coca Cola?Everyone drinks it all over the world.....in Atlanta in the 1880s, Pemberton sold a syrup made of wine and coca extract he called "Pemberton's French Wine Coca," which was touted at a cure for headaches and nervous disorders....also called “brain tonic”..............
Coca-Cola was originally used as a nerve and brain tonic and a medical elixir. Coca-Cola was named by Frank Robinson, one of Pemberton's close friends, he also penned the famous Coca-Cola logo in unique script .
But now ,Coca Cola  is no longer seen as an medical elixir ….

now it's something that drives people to get medical help

I once cooked coca cola
try it yourself, after the water vapors out

something really gross, oil-like is left, looks like something left from a dinosaur

Try to do the same with a natural juice and you'll be amazed of finding another dinosaur s** in your pot
Of course it might look as being from a different species but you've got my point.

Also , do you find caramel grose?
1449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC/BLK) | PoS | Multipool | Coinkite | Mentioned on WSJ! on: June 14, 2014, 03:14:48 PM
Bitcoin's price is falling quite a lot, so no doubt there is some panic BTC selling. That thing also means panic BC selling do then do panic BTC selling. Nothing else really interesting in the markets too this morning so I don't think it's panic selling to go on shitcoins...

The panic over the btc market was for the 29k coins that will be sold on an auction...
Less than a day of trade volume.

It is clear a sign of traders wanting to take advantage of a fud wave to make some profits.

The only advice I have for both btc and bc hodlers... it's weekend , take a break Smiley.
1450  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IL-76 with EU contractors shoot down in Lugansk. on: June 14, 2014, 02:45:46 PM
Niothor, what are you smoking? Russian propaganda machine? My posts were rather critical of Russian authoritarian regime.
Unless you are talking about 247crypto, but make this clear please...

Of course I was talking about him...

I quoted your questions when both you and deisik where asking about those "contractors".
Of course there weren't any.

And , sorry , I should have used another way to make that post  , edited:).
1451  Other / Politics & Society / Re: U.S. Taxpayers Support Toyota ! on: June 14, 2014, 02:44:16 PM
Angry  These Al Qaeda fighters rolling into Syria and Iraq should be driving FORD trucks, not Toyotas.

This is an outrage.  American taxpayers spend billions of dollars per year supporting Al Qaeda.  The least they could do is buy American brand products.

It's time to write your Congressman and DEMAND that Al Qaeda start using American products.

Shouldn't the US government start pressuring the Japanese not to sell vehicles to terrorist? =))))
They might even consider banning selling japanese cars in the us because of this.

But let's not give them any ideas
1452  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What happens in the government if Bitcoin takes over? on: June 14, 2014, 02:41:50 PM
Most governments get their money from taxes. If these become impossible to collect, how will the government support itself? They would no longer have control over any currency. Would BTC taxes have to be enforced? Should an alternative be sought? How can a government survive without money?

I'd like to see people's opinions on anything related to this, as I feel that most forum members are better versed in such themes than I am, and I'm open to what everyone has to say.

Please let me know why would taxes become impossible to collect with bitcoin..

How are you going to avoid paying property tax or vat with bitcoin?

It would only make it a bit hard for them to collect taxes but not impossible

Probably only a tiny bit ..

I have a question for this guys who claim that with bitcoin you can avoid taxes , will you also avoid paying speed tickets when bitcoin replaces fiat?

Beginning of WW3?
Android-based navigation device has missed a little. Cheesy

Probably the've used the iOS 6

But , you have to agree this is funny and interesting...

We have the other side claiming Russia was sending tanks , the Russian pres says those were stolen tanks..

Now we have the russian saying that an ukriane apc drove into russia from a rebel controlled territory. They didn't even once bothered to think this might be as well a stolen apc and driven by rebels , right?

Talking about biased
1455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IL-76 with EU contractors shoot down in Lugansk. on: June 14, 2014, 11:46:45 AM
It is not clear if it has been shot down or fell because of some technical fault. They say there were around 30 men on board... Cool

And who are those EU contractors actually? Roll Eyes

Latest reports say 49 dead, military personnel. EU contractors, I don't know...
http://edition.cnn.com/2014/06/14/world/europe/ukraine-crisis/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

The guy who has posted the links and used this title is a russian propaganda machine.
Check his posts history.

You're asking the wrong guy for clarifications.
When there was a threat that Russia might cut the gas supply all he posted was "europe burn wood".

According to them in Urkaine there are 1 million contractors , cia agents , black water troops and a few elves all of them fighting a 80 yo grandmother with an ak.

1456  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: June 13, 2014, 10:16:57 PM

I bet that woman with a bicycle was a cia agent , right?

" A pro-Russian fighter checks documents of a woman leaving the city at a checkpoint in Sloviansk. Photo: AP"

There is written all about.

So this is normal , right?

Are we back to the urss era when the question is papers or siberia?
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: June 13, 2014, 05:16:31 AM
I don't really believe that any alt has even a slight chance of replacing bitcoin as top coin.

Even if that is the case, the trading opportunities still are in altcoins.

I won't deny it , but trading in alts lately poses great risks.
Pumps and dumps are so common that you cant' really sleep well if you have a large sum invested.

I made my share of profits and I'm not that greedy to try a coin every day or stick to much for the "moon landing".

With bitcoin I know there are lots of companies and $ behind it , it won't crash to 0
Dogecoin has the community , one of the most insane one , but very large

Those two I don't fear they will crumble in a day , ... but the rest...

lite , noble , black , dark , monero, mint ,xc ,..... badger (don't laugh, only a few :Roll Eyes

But right now only my lite and dark stash exceed a 10 btc value

It's hard to follow developments with each coin I guess when you have more than 5 coins.

To be honest , lately I follow hype..
I made bad calls and good calls but i'm in the green zone right now.

I don't really believe that any alt has even a slight chance of replacing bitcoin as top coin.

And.. I have a few coins that I won't even bother to check the development , they aren't worth 1 dogetoshi right now Sad(((
1459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: June 13, 2014, 05:04:43 AM

Don't worry , I have a few doge also.

But I'm realistic unlike to the moon guys.
And , I was calling chinese exchange a fake from october Wink

Being realistic is smart.
Besides doge, what else? Come on, I am not asking for exact numbers Smiley

lite , noble , black , dark , monero, mint ,xc, peseta ,..... badger (don't laugh, only a few :Roll Eyes

So what's everyone going to do?

Can see this going one of 2 ways:

(1) The 174K BTC are auctioned off at a discount and combined with the flood of injecting 1% into the market causes BTC to drop

or

(2) The 174K BTC are auctioned off at higher than $600 per coin - it's not easy to obtain chunks of BTC of that size (i.e. VC's or companies with long-term plans for BTC) and BTC continues to rise

Or everyone sits tight and waits while nothing happens.

http://www.usmarshals.gov/assets/2014/bitcoins/

They are selling only 30k coins not the whole seized stash
