461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why newbies lose huge money in trading on: February 04, 2022, 04:40:20 AM
Actually a newbie can't get any information for investment properly or he / she has not enough knowledge about trading and trading platform. Sometimes a newbie can't invest right coin at right time , hence he faces a huge amounts of losses.

Trading is not something that you invest in a coin today and become a millionaire tomorrow. There are a lot of things which needs to be known for the right investment at a right time.
I don't understand why newbies jump into bitcoins and cryptocurrency trading without first getting the knowledge about it.
Only learning and experience can make you a good trader.
462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Bots on: February 04, 2022, 03:23:32 AM
Have you ever used a bot to automate your trading? Do you trust it enough to make the right decisions? If trading bots are as good as they claim, why are folks not using them as much as they should?
I haven't tried yet to use any bots to automate my trading.
But my basic understanding of trading bots is it is more likely to follow your configuration if you set any, like your analysis or conditions when to buy/sell or stop loss.
I saw other trading bots are using pre-configured settings on tradings if you don't want to create your own. Or there are some trading bots platforms that some configurations are public and you can check how the configuration works and it's up to you if want to use it.
So overall for me, I can not say that using trading bots is not good, as long as you know how it works and you understand it, it's good for me.
Yeah, that all relies upon what we feed them. Trading bots will take action based on our configuration and it never makes any decision unless it was changed,  and this is the reason why if we fail to set it right, that loss is certainly be going to happen. Plus, in times of abrupt change in the market trend, these bots will never make it change as well.
That it finds no wrong but if we are using this tool, see to it that we are in the watchful of the market and so we can make adjustments in the situation where the price trend suddenly changes its momentum.
The end scenario here is, its still you who are controlling the trade. So i think it will be a waste of money if we trust these trading bots when in fact they can't guarantee us that all trades will be profitable. Yes, they may turn us into instant millionaires but that will also depend on how we feed and handle them. Its like training a baby and watching him grow based on how we mold him. If that's the case, i will just be contented on my own trades and focus on how to improve it so as to minimize from having losses.

Trading bots maybe useful for those newbie traders who have no idea of technical analysis. They may use crypto trading bots to do the trading for them because if they do it themselves they may incur more loss.
But for the experienced traders, trading bots are not that useful because the human can better judge the market as compare to the artificial intelligence.
463  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India taxes Cryptocurrencies at 30%, what's next? on: February 04, 2022, 01:28:53 AM
Yesterday i.e. 1st February 2022 India announced its budget, and in the session, it stated that crypto transactions will be taxed at the rate of 30%. There is very less to be sure of what is the impact of the following decision[ +ve or -ve]

I see that taxing cryptos has one good pro here i.e. it can be said that cryptocurrency is legal in India or maybe?

There are several cons as 30% is a big share.

Is there any possible way to legally avoid the taxations?
Taxes for transactions? Or for the gains?

No government can simply ask taxes for the transactions they can only demand taxes for the income we made from it for example it can be capital gains ir profits from doing cryptocurrency trading.

Also I saw that they are going to be introducing their CBDC means they won't allow decentralized cryptocurrencies to grow in their market anymore.

I think Its for gains and they may pay the tax for the difference between the purchase and sales price, otherwise it wouldn't have any explanation. In many countries it is considered as a capital asset and taxed as property. So if non cryptographic currency is taxed for example 18%, who will pay 30%?
But OP mentioned its the tax rates for transactions, anyway we may get clear idea from the officials and I don't even see any cryptocurrency news blog sites mentioned about this? Surprising though because many reputed news sites claimed that India banned bitcoin completely when their Central Bank issued restrictions not the government but now no news about it.

Both of the news, the banning of bitcoin in India and this 30% tax on bitcoin are not the final verdict from the official sources. This is just being proposed and it will become the law once there is an official print and version released.
Since there are too many voices against this high tax, it is possible that government may lower the tax rates and/or make it more clear in the actual law.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra/Diem is dead? on: February 04, 2022, 01:11:58 AM
People do not about the story I suppose? Facebook officially declared that they are no longer working on it. It means that it is dead. In fact there were talks about them selling the whole system as well, like some sort of centralized currency. Which is why I believe that it is not really dead but just changed ownership but since it will not be facebook then it will not be a huge deal like it could have been.

I know that it should be a lot easier for facebook to handle this then how they did it, they have enough developers to put some manhours into this project and already be out. But they just didn't feel like it had the potential they wanted I suppose? No idea what their reasoning was.

I also think the same as i do not find any official statement from facebook that they are working on it and it is part of their future plans. The Libra was a failed attempt and it did not created much interest as people are more interested to bitcoin rather than any centralized coin like Libra.
Instead, facebook is working on a concept of Meta and they have also changed their name from Facebook to Meta.
465  Economy / Speculation / Re: How come BTC is not at least $75,000 yet? on: February 03, 2022, 07:05:11 PM
What's the rush?

That's the thinking for most of the people as they do not feel eager to buy bitcoin when it is cheap under 40k. Do you know when people will rush to buy bitcoins?
I tell you this strange behavior of bitcoin investors. You will find the rush of people to buy bitcoins and FOMO when bitcoin reached again All time high. When bitcoin will reach 100,000$, you will find even more rush from retail and the general public to buy bitcoins.
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember Bitfinex Exchange Hack of 2016 ? The stolen bitcoins are moving! on: February 03, 2022, 06:46:06 PM
Karma is real, those who take bitcoins illegally will have a bad and not free life because from the news I heard exchanges block tracking wallets that transfer stolen bitcoins even though they can cash out bitcoins slowly. I hope someone can catch the owner of that wallet

Bitfinex Exchange Hack happened in 2016 and in six years no one was able to know who hacked the exchange. If in 5-6 years, the owner of the wallets are unknown, do you think it will be easy to catch them now?

It seems that hackers won't be caught but if they convert the money into fiat, then there may be some chances to track them but noting can grantee at this time.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins would you invest $ 1,000,000 in? on: February 03, 2022, 06:28:23 PM
$1 is big money, I will divide it into 2, namely buying coins that already have a strong market such as BNB, Terra, Cardano and MATIC as much as 70% and the rest to buy new projects, to get a safer and bigger income then I will use it for staking and farming. I'm sure with $1 million it could be at least 2x for a year.

$1,000,000 no doubt is a big money and if i had this much amount of dollars i would have instantly bought bitcoin and invested in the top 10 crypto currencies listed at coin market cap.
Even if this is a year where coins prices may not rise much, if he holds $1,000,000 worth of crypto, he could easily 3x-5x his money. All he needs is patience and a good investment strategy.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best tokens for arbitrage trading? on: February 03, 2022, 03:12:16 PM
Hello friends
I have heard that there are people who earn income by trading arbitrage. I am very inexperienced at this. Which token or coin do you think would be suitable for arbitrage trading? Thank you.

Does arbitrage trading still works? There are very few arbitrage trading opportunities and also for a very short period of time. It's useless to look for arbitrage trading as by the time you will withdraw/deposit the coins, the prices of the coins will have come to normal & equal on all exchanges.
If you look for arbitrage trading on low volume coins on small exchanges, then you are putting a lot of risk with your investments.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to avoid all scams? on: February 03, 2022, 02:58:34 PM
Do you think it is possible to completely get rid of scams?

What do you think, is it possible to somehow get rid of scams among crypto projects?

There are many kind of scam that can threat people, not only about coins but many kind of investment that attract people to gain profit in short time. It is possible to avoid it as long before we made research before jumped into it, simple thing maybe seek in this forum and see how people respond about the project but we must know who really criticize it or who only shill it.

Scams are everywhere and anywhere you least expected, and certainly there's no investments that will give you profits in a short amount of time. So, if you encounter that sort of investments that are just too good to be true then it's best to decline or avoid it early because that will really cost you your money and time.

If you find any offer or scheme which promises you unrealistic gains, then it must be a scam project which will scam you sooner or later. The only way to be safe from a scam is to stay away from the quick rich schemes.  Another thing is to stop being greedy because if you are greedy it's likely you will accept unrealistic offers or invest in potential scam projects.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Son of elon on: February 03, 2022, 02:00:38 PM
Stay away from any coin/token bearing a name, or trying to promote the name of Elon Musk or anything related to Elon Musk's interests:

  • Elon Mask Coin.
  • Tesla coin.
  • Moon coin.
  • Mars coin.
  • Dogecoin.

It does not matter the trading volumes, the amount of profit, the amount of return, the developing team, no matter how real that information seems to be, but it is very good to be true project (the best success will be pumping and dumping coin)

Everyone should know that all of the coins named with Elon or Tesla are only made to collect money from people as people will invest in those scam projects thinking that these are the actual coins of Elon Musk or the tesla company.

Bear in mind that even if you see the prices of these coins going up, do not be greedy to buy them. Normally whales who develop these coins have enough money to pump these shit coins to trap the investors.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: February 03, 2022, 01:44:37 PM
I don't invest in new crypto projects myself. I'm not a rich investor, so I prefer to put my smaller investments of money into more established projects which are already on at least a few different exchanges. New projects are extremely risky and although that is how you will make the most when a project moves 100x or whatever, it's too risky for me. I'll participate in airdrops/bounties/selfdrops and things like that occasionally to try and get some free tokens from a new project, but I have yet to invest any of my actual cash into them.

No doubt some of the new projects and coins can give us 100X returns if we invest in very early stages (like in ICO, IDO, IEO etc). But at the same time, there is a big risk of losing that investment if the project failed or the team made the project only for the crowdfunding purpose.
I usually do not personally invest in those new projects which are at the initial stage.
However, if the new project gets listed on the exchanges and there is hype of that particular project, then I may think of investing in that project but with very little capital.
472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A supermarket in Mexico now allows Bitcoin payments for all their items on: February 03, 2022, 12:32:58 PM
Of course today Many people want to use Bitcoin as a means of payment. But it seems to me that we should consider Bitcoin first of all as a protective asset for our savings, as well as a very expensive asset for accumulating our savings. but cryptocurrencies such as CRATD2C, and others, will be used in everyday life, not only as a means of payment, but also to facilitate business.

The good thing about Bitcoin is that it can be used as a store of value and also as a currency and medium of exchange.

I do not live in Mexico, but if the mentioned super store is a big one then it is a very good thing. I am sure by this announcement, the sale of this super market will increase and the other stores in Mexico may follow the same and allow bitcoins as a payment gateway.
473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not invested then do it now... on: February 03, 2022, 12:00:16 PM
If you are buying BTC for long term investment, I think buying it now would be good, although there may still be another drop to around $32K like some time ago. The amount of BTC is very limited, and everyone will need it, so I think for a long term investment, it's still worth it. After all, BTC has never been a disappointment to wait for in an annual investment.
Right , time is to invest in cryptocurrency especially in BTC because this price was 60k plus but now it is 36k so it should talk that the time is to invest and hold for 5-6 months and get profit and enjoy new experience .

Bitcoin price is almost 50 percent down from it's all time high. If anyone has missed the previous rally of Bitcoin then this is the best time to invest in cryptocurrency and especially Bitcoin. We all know that Bitcoin will cross 100,000$ and even 500,000$ one day. So how Kool it would be if we bought Bitcoin under 40k.
Those who are fearing to buy at the current prices, they will regret when bitcoin will reach new ATHs.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe we found a way to avoid taxation!!?? on: February 02, 2022, 05:34:49 PM
they are actually taking profit by imposing heavy taxes on it. If they really care about it they must have accepted it as payment rather launching own currency. They imposed heavy tax on crypto trading just to stop people investing in other cryptos.

Let them legalize bitcoin even with high taxes. Remember, a few months before Indian government was proposing to ban bitcoin but now their opinion has changed 360 degrees. I am sure, in near future this 30% tax will reduce also. We should welcome the decision by the Indian government which is in favor of legalization of bitcoin.
475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about staking? on: February 02, 2022, 12:04:38 PM
Sometimes this is why I would prefer to just buy Bitcoin and HODL instead of having to face the problems of these Altcoins.
I've seen people with the same reason as you.

Many of them preferred to just buy and hold bitcoin or those altcoins that can be staked. They're feeling that there's no need for them to do that and earn with those percentages.

But if the concern is about the value, just choose those platforms that making you choose the flexible term for which you can withdraw at any time.

For staking, the concern is not only the value of the altcoins but also the trust factor of the platform where you are staking the coins.  There is always a risk that the centralized platform where we have stake the coins may not be reliable and they can run away with our funds. It's better to hold the coins in our private wallet rather than risking them on staking.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your plans for the 2022 crypto market? on: February 02, 2022, 05:56:47 AM
Just boring plans: keep doing DCA. Buy, buy, buy (small amounts) rise, rinse, repeat. It only gets exciting if the price goes up a lot, in which case I will spend small amounts. Not planning anything big until I accumulate a considerable amount, which will be quite a few years from now I think, because I would like to think otherwise, but I think that the spectacular returns that Bitcoin had in the past years are going to be reduced going forward, although it will still be very profitable to buy Bitcoin.

Dollar cost average is not boring. It's like you are investing in bitcoin and crypto which will give you many  returns in the future.
I will be holding my crypto and only sell if it reacheds another all time high. If the prices , dump more I will wait and never sell in panic or in loss.
477  Economy / Gambling / Re: Show Your Victory on: February 01, 2022, 03:38:33 PM
I lost more than I won, I think most of us can share the same story. But the moral here is that caring too much about winnings is a lose-lose strategy. I simply play my favourite games and I pay to play them. If I manage to win, that's great, if not, well, I have paid my time in a casino.

I also have the impression that it is almost impossible to beat the casino and therefore, the percentage of losses will be higher than winnings. I am new to gambling and therefore, I would like to hear the opinions of experienced players. What is your average win/loss ratio? Please share your approximate statistics.

Most people are losing in gambling and the winning percentage is really very less. That's maybe one reason we hear people telling about their loses and very few tell us about their wins in gambling.
Also, i think those who win big in gambling do not tell us because they do not want to be noticed or they want to avoid taxes on their gambling gains.
478  Other / Meta / Re: 500 Internal Server Error on: February 01, 2022, 03:17:19 PM
I had the problem yesterday, but it didn't last long and it didn't recur. It didn't take more than 3 minutes if I'm not mistaken. Try pressing your keyboard CTRL+F5 a few times, it might work. But today I have no problem. About you, it will be resolved soon.

Yes, it was resolved the same day. I didn't know the cause due to which this error was coming. Restarting the system did not help either but when i checked later in the evening, the issue was not appearing anymore. It may be something to do with my internet. Anyways thanks to everyone for their advice. Locking this thread now.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you answer a couple of questions to a potential bitcoin buyer? on: February 01, 2022, 03:00:29 PM
So, essentially no human being on Earth is capable to do anything after purchasing bitcoin, but to watch a number. Obviously, watching a number is not as aesthetically pleasing as watching a picture of a beautiful girl or a sunset.

The problem with you is that you do not want to buy bitcoins and therefore find a way to satisfy your mind with lame excuses. After buying bitcoin, you can watch that your wealth will grow as the bitcoin price increases over time. Buying any other commodity or assets will not benefit you as much as bitcoin.
Better you go and watch your girlfriend and stop wasting your time on this forum.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not invested then do it now... on: January 31, 2022, 09:22:53 AM
It's all about the risk that can give of the investor some people still waiting for the market signal to make an investment, some of them watching the market and the others forgot to make an investment. If possible if you think you have a good position or time to make an investment why not grab the opportunity we are investing in with the market hype and volatility so better to ride than never and becomes one of the regrets to ourselves. Depends on how long you hold the bitcoin and being satisfied with the profit.

Those who are watching the market but not investing at the moment are taking a big risk. Even if they do not want to buy everything at current prices, they can buy around 50 percent of their investment now and buy more if the prices move future down. DCA can be the best strategy at the moment.
