dope! bro!

The 420 coins traded by Doge could be major fun and a whole new market.

POT is at 4.20 doge
CANN is at 12.25 doge
Bonger is like 0.25 doge
STV still getting a hand on a fair doge price ( the new guy Wink )

Trading 1 or 10 or 50 at a time just for S&G.

My vision is that someone creates a more video game like exchange platform all Doge Wow! and such fun!
Think a mix of Doge-ness, Slot Machine, and Farmville coupled with trading.  Woof!

Even deeper at atomic level measurements of value CANN is worth 20000 HTML5 coins .... so the spread could be agreed in less than 0.0000 0001 LTC ... or $ 3.46/99Million  Grin

"KYI  policy" ... wat? da #$%!

immediate shift of opinion in favor of openbazaar Smiley

If you're looking to sell something illegal then of course openbazaar will be the place for you.  If you just want to avoid having to give your ID in order to be able to sell, then that is understandable, but the fact remains that businesses MUST comply with AML laws / KYC regulation.  Bitify only enforce ID verification for people wanting to sell monetary value goods (gift cards, PayPal, etc) to prevent money laundering - you can't complain about that.

Naw.  Don't get the need for "Authorized Participation" in a Decentralized / Non-Authoritarian money system.  Your rep is public, there is no need to KYC, they don't want you to sell dead babies then just don't list illegal things, but not gonna submit private info.  Besides the already have IP, shipping addresses, likely attached websites.  It is not a dark market, and yahoos that think this KYC for the buying/selling of things is still a-okay please send me a copy of your gov ID, DOB, home address, and tel. Wink  KYC is for dealing in fiat aka money aka the property of the state.

Polinex submission complete

EDIT:

As an aside, I checked my coins-e account today and the ten $UNO that I sent weeks ago still have not appeared in my account.

re: coins-e
Sorry to hear that.  I poked coins-e with a stick and in looks mostly dead.  But it is still up and the 'sign-up' is functional.  So dug deeper ... seems the prime time coins are still active (but really nothing is trading) the only exception was Doge seems to be trading daily in small chunks at fair value.  My best guess is they got frustrated maintaining wallets of crappy coins, so they just set the 'create address' feature to NO.  So you can't deposit on most of the still open markets if you can't generate an addie.  But a piss poor job of explaining that any where.

I think they plan to revamp (just guessing) once the actual alt market is clear, until then the lights are on but no one is home.

------------

re: POLO

We can keep knocking on their door.  But eventually they'll come knocking on our door Wink

There is an alternative way to get access to Polo, still working on it, but if we can discover a network of coins that span Polo_Rex_Cryptopia_Bleu(& cryptsy if they survive) ... then trading back and forth via "proxy" is possible and also potentially profitable.

-------------
RE: Cryptsy suspended their trade engine

Huh just been trading there ... so was i on the ghost ship that still works ... also withdrew a batch of multiple coins ... no problem Huh

------------
RE: EMC, emer coin

When I first saw EMC I thought joke.  But more and more it is starting to look like a solid access point to the BTC/$ markets ... specifically trading the dollar against RUR.  Now I am not really focused on forex, but things are looking good for UNO being part of the mix.  There is another pair SAK that gives access to Jubi Exchange where $ to CNY can be done.  And if I am reading the stars right, FTC is going to be a strong point of access to the GBP/$/Euro pairs.  If uno focuses exclusively just on acting as a SOV for the digital forex fortress ... we'll do alright Wink

But I'd like to think UNO can serve forex players and still find lots of other applications too!

ps ... is EMC tied to NameCoin?  The wallet has some special 'Name' feature.

4690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SMC] SmartCoin | Currency of a smart world | Cryptsy • DGW3 • X11 on: January 05, 2016, 05:17:23 PM
Still the 1st WEEK of year 2016.

So I would like to state on the record this years direction, informally, more organized road map to come mid-quarter.

1.  Rebrand.  Nice project, and great work thus far.  But no rush to push it out the door.  There is plenty of time to mull it over.  There are 3 different logos, and all of them are perhaps possible for sub-divisions of SMART brands.  But ultimately "THE LOGO" will be found.  First impressions, well we get the chance to represent our image so best to make sure we nail it.  So keep the rebrand thread active.  If I can pull SMC from Cryptsy can add more towards bounties.

2.  Price.  This is the main goal of 2016.  And look at the 2 year chart.  Classic and perfect.  Just maintain the price channel and if you feel rich push it up, we'll see what happens, but mind the lower supports because that's where they are at Wink SMC is a longer mine schedule but with certainty 2017 means shifting to a new level, 2016 is just testing the waters and holding already claimed terra firma.

3.  Exchanges.  We need more.  But reliable exchange partners are not clear and present.  So Q2 is best for that kind of project.  In the meantime getting listed on Cryptopia is easy, just get some DOTs and it can be done.  After that SMC can step it up another level.

4.  Standards ... nodes, pools, hash rates.  Websites are great.  If help is needed donations in SMC?  Make sure to keep SMC listed on other key websites ... like coinwarz.

5.  Community.  My main focus.  Getting intelligent participants to join.  And a small cap coin, with a solid network can do big things.  The goal is to have a powerhouse of SMART people, and that corresponds with solid long term capital gains.  So SMC knows it's current place on the market capital rankings, but will create a solid platform for wise investors to gather and mutually profit.

6.  FinTech + Smart people = SMC

in light of the current and coming Decred hype:

"The airdrop distribution represents 4% of the total Decred supply and will be equally and unconditionally distributed to valid participants."

well 50% of the total TALK supply was airdropped to bct members, and the other 50% competitively mined
so we got that going for us, besides the fact that the free distro was handed out and traded out about 2 years ago.

so the airdrop thing, yeap did done that Wink

lesson learned is most just dump for the BTC
takes a stronghand to hold out thru the bottom ... but if you look at TALK prices we've reached the mean average from May-July 2014 again ... was a long valley to cross.  Who knows the Decred 4% is no 50% so maybe it will work nicely.

Just a side thought

A Polo listing is much more valuable than an Bitrex listing, likewise Bittrex listings is more valuable than Cryptsy listing, etc.
Also which index/data services list the coin, track the coin.

I think the list will be solid by end of Q1 2016 Grin

4695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the fastest staking POS coin that is still tradeable? on: January 05, 2016, 09:09:44 AM
bumbacoin Cheesy

min stake age 10 minutes
coinbase maturity 40 blocks(minutes)

fixed 2 coin reward/block

10 minutes
that's impressive

how about OPEN 'osc' stakes in 365 days Sad

I am starting to not like +2-3days min time.  Best POS seem to be these faster min. hold time.  You open them up daily, sync, stake, and move on to the next thing you need to do with your PC.  It get's habitual and insures lots of nodes in the network, problem/tradeoff is they only ping in then drop off after awhile.

The +2days min hold time 'stakers' can start to have lots of different chunks of coins and get consistent rewards, but this seems to limit the network to a few big fish, and small stake holders find it difficult to catch rewards.  For coins like this I just wait months before attempting to stake (heavy weight) but I contribute little to the network with this method.

What is the difference between Monero (XMR) and Bytecoin (BCN)?

Basically nothing. Monero started its carrier as a Bytecoin clone, but without a ninja launch. Later the XMR guys made more efforts for patching up the flaws in the original BCN code and to make some development as well.
