501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BIGCOIN] 9 unique groundbreaking features | TESTERS NEEDED! on: May 29, 2015, 12:41:00 AM
Our devs are working on the problem.

Finally we have time.

We'll have a release which'll fix the issue soon.
I dont pretend to understand a lot of what's going on but when the issues are fixed and I get a wallet going and get my coins out of c-cex. Can I stake them ?

Like the variance wallet has an option to "unlock for staking only".

Ty.

Right now I got ~284k locked up at c-cex that wont be worth much when I have access so figured I may as well try and stake them if I can with a local wallet.

this is pow only. no stakes
;-/

this is an old coin with bunch of features. you got 284,000 out of 170,000,000. thats not that bad : )
It kind of is when I can't do anything with them and might lose them if whatever's wrong isn't fixed / c-cex doesn't unlock wallets so I can try to move them somewhere which might be a moot point if there is a wallet issue and I get a local wallet.

c-cex has it labeled as a wallet issue, all I know is I have ~284k coins in limbo.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BIGCOIN] 9 unique groundbreaking features | TESTERS NEEDED! on: May 21, 2015, 02:56:35 AM
734000 block.

Not a single mined coin will be unconfirmed.

I'm extremely sorry about this.

And it's going to take some time, I and any other dev dont have time either. We'll fix the issue fastest possible.

Till then, please contact http://suprnova.cc/ to stop mining the coin.
So do I need to worry about the 280 some odd thousand I have ?
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BIGCOIN] 9 unique groundbreaking features | TESTERS NEEDED! on: May 19, 2015, 11:44:18 PM
Right now I got about 284k n change of this coin.

If it does get delisted form the exchanges, I'll have to get a client going to be able to keep my coins.

508  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: May 14, 2015, 07:50:11 PM
We have not cancelled the compensation. As announced, compensation is going to be shipped immediately as we clear the queue.
Hey BA, been almost a year since you posted this... I think the queue's pretty cleared by now so can we have some recent news on this please. I have accepted what is to come which may or may not be nothing as well as the fact of miner(s) I never got to use so compensation at this point would be nice, assuming it's compensation that works... 510  Other / Off-topic / Flexible hosing from supply lines to shower / bath mixer ? on: April 29, 2015, 05:12:24 AM
I know this can be a touchy subject based on access of the lines, but here goes...

Ok, so our bath / shower needed a new faucet set including mixer as the other one had severely restricted flow. Well I had to cut the supply lines above the shutoffs and didn't want to bother with brazing as I would probably mess it up bad. That being said, I used some shark bites and flex hose to attach the supply lines to the new mixer. Well it'h holding fine and doing it's job giving us a working bath again. Here's me query though, since the access panel to the back end of the "system" is behind a panel held to the wall with four screws and not obstructed in a closet behind boxes but instead seen from the hallway. Would you said it would be gtg since access to the plumbing is a non issue if you don't consider the removal of just four screws ?

I ask because I know people say to use solid piping if access is limited but since I can get to what I need to when I need to if I need to rather quickly would you say flex hose is ok to feed the new mixer ?

Ty.

Edit: To be clear, the flex hosing I am referring to are the flex faucet lines you might otherwise find under your sink attaching the main lines to your sink with the attached nuts.

511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Home node question... on: April 26, 2015, 10:28:36 PM
Oh and as for the VPS, I did do that once and ran out of disk which is why I went to the home node idea where all I have to do is add disk to the laptop.

Yes, you need sufficient disk space. It's not too expensive these days. But of course, it's cheaper to use disk space you already have at home.

Also, your home-ip will be registered many places as a bitcoin-node ip, you might like that, or you might not like that. Some people do not like that, so they use a VPS instead.
Ya I don't mind my IP being known because even if I didn't run a home node. If someone wanted to fuck with me via IP it's easily enough found if your determined.

But ya, I got a static though my ISP for $5 a month.

Still curious about the flag thing in my last reply if anyone knows of anything. Even if it's not a "deny seeding" flag for the 0.10.0 client.
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Home node question... on: April 26, 2015, 09:54:58 PM
FWIW, my home node is / has been fully synced for some time so it's just normal ins and outs.

Are there any flags I can use in the config file to say be a dick and not be someones seed for their node and just process normal usage data for trans etc, keeping in mind commands usable on 0.10.0 that may not be available to previous versions.

Oh and as for the VPS, I did do that once and ran out of disk which is why I went to the home node idea where all I have to do is add disk to the laptop.

As for my cap, apparently I'm one of the less than 3% affected by it lol.
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Home node question... on: April 26, 2015, 03:13:50 AM
Well, I installed a network meter gadget on the Vista laptop the nodes on and in the short time it's been running it's showing 161+ Mb out with 6+ Mb in, assuming the up "green" arrow is out and the down "yellow" arrow is in.

Striken: Was misreading it lol, but will still let it run for two days to get a good avg., but ya, I got data goin somewhere.

Gonna do a reset on the gadget and just let it run for 2 days to see what the daily seems to be.

All though in hindsight I don't know if the gadget somehow meters the actual network or just the data of the laptop lol
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Home node question... on: April 26, 2015, 02:12:33 AM
Ok, so I got a node at home that's running client 0.10.0.

So here's my question.

If my ISP's internet usage is allotted at 300Gb per month... with all the in's and outs of processing god knows what data. How much data might the home node use on average per day ?

I ask because I seem to be using quite a bit of data and I'm trying to see what's been sucking it up and the only thing I can come to is the node.

Last weeks winner:

This page will be ever changing as I think of new Q&A's to add or add those asked by others. That being said, please excuse the way this post currently looks as I've never been much of a wordsmith but will find someone to help me write up a proper advertisement post.

Ok, so down to business I suppose.

Spend-ur-Bits.com

Again, I apologize for the current feel of this post but it will have a more proper write up coming.

Anyone interested in trying their luck in a BTC lottery, please visit http://www.spend-ur-bits.com and see the lottery tab. From there you can view current weeks participants (address / "tickets" bought) as well as a link to the past 25 weeks winners where people played and a winner was chosen.

As of this post, there are two current players with the pot at 0.02BTC... the current round will close in ~2hrs where it will be paid out to the winner and the new round begins. Each round is 1 week long and closes 12am Sunday EST/EDT.

Any questions, please ask them here and they will be replied to and more than likely added to the Q&A of this post when it's been properly written up.

518  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: March 19, 2015, 07:41:54 PM
--- snip ---

NOTE: As of 0.93, we broke compatibility with both Ubuntu 12.04 (32 and 64) and Windows 32 bit.  The next major release (hopefully soon) will actually remove the bulky Armory databases (except in supernode, of course), and thus make it compatible with 32-bit again.
Sounds good !

Thx for the update etotheipi ;-)

I haven't updated my store for a version or two so I don't know if physical ordering is included yet. However, even if it's not... simple modifications made to some pages makes it easy to do. See my site spend-ur-bits.com and view the checkout page of any item.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. You will get full up-to-date transaction history for any private key you import into an Armory wallet, past, present and future. If you create new private keys in a wallet from another client, you will have to import these new keys into your Armory wallet to get their history.
What I meant was I assume to import new keys after the initial import during armory setup, that you have to manually import via a menu somewhere where as I was asking about telling armory to check for new keys from the QT client and import if found. So everything otherwise would remain automatic with new keys needing to be imported.

Nothing like that sorry. All key imports are manual.
I know the chances of something like that being implemented is low, but where might I make an official request to try ?
