1101  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 06, 2014, 10:01:29 AM
I have a few other small items I'd like to prioritize over the loan. If I did a 15% interest instead of the current 10%. Can we extend the repayment date to the 31st

No sorry, we already had an agreement. I don't focus too much on how much interest I get, but rather more on you honoring the terms and how trustworthy you are. If the high interest was my main priority, then I wouldn't have given arklan a loan that is due in a year, with "low" interest.
Fair enough, had to ask, will repay as agreed and as a sign of good faith towards that agreement. I am sending 0.1 right now to help show I honor agreements above my own needs when one might just say F' all and do what I asked anyway lol

Hey Hap, question for you and for the sake of transparency I'm posting this publicly when a PM with you would be enough.

I have a few other small items I'd like to prioritize over the loan. If I did a 15% interest instead of the current 10%. Can we extend the repayment date to the 31st even though in reality it would be paid probably by the 21st or a bit sooner. I just want to use the 31st as a safety net for unforeseen things. If the answer is no I will still repay in full with 10% as currently agreed by the 11th.

Truth be told I mainly want to resell the 0.7 back to coinbase I bought before paying you so I can gt the bank credited a few days quicker.

Ty.

In any event, if you agreed it would be a 0.345 repayment.

Hey Hap, Now that the loans been repaid in full. I'd like to revisit this by asking to please "re-borrow" the 0.3 @ 5% but use the 31st as a safety net even though it will more than likely be repaid days / weeks in advance like the 1st loan.

Hello,

I just added the signature, however I have some questions.

Can I enroll me directly now ?  When I click on enrolling, I get a first page and a second where I have to claim my payment, but as I never posted with the signature (before now), I don't think I can claim something, right ?

Another question is about where to post. I post a lot in the french part, to discuss about new coins, help newcomers and other useful things. Can I claim something with my french posts if these are constructive ?

About constructive posts, I searched a bit, but i'm still lost. What is exactly constructive?  An useful question ? Short good answers are good too ? I'm afraid to claim something I should claim  Lips sealed

Thanks a lot.
Hopefully you get an answer because I asked the same thing and got a smart ass response from some dick.

Just making sure, it wasnt me right?
Don't believe so but the answer was basically...

You do know what constructive means dont you ?

I mean it's a legitimate question. In regards to this campaign, this reply I'm typing can easily be considered non-constructive because it's just me talking.

Bitmain wont expend any more overhead than they need to which is obvious for the lack of quality control and the handling of their shipping queue.

Maybe instead, you should rule with an iron grasp of sentence construction.
Way to be polite there, but lets see how your sentences come together when your fuckin tired and have to run out the door but make a quick post first.

Just an FYI, i purchased a B5 less than 2 days and received shipping info this morning.  They must be really close to shipping out all the batch 5s

Create Time: 2014-08-03 12:44:13.0
WTF !

I purchased my two orders of two units each on the 31st of last month and the 1st of this month and haven't seen crap for movement, also no emails.

i don't see any b6 for 0.66-did they took it off?

Yep, they sure did...I assume because B5 is not yet sold out.  I think originally it said shipping August 12th.
It did say the 12th before they took it down lol
1109  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: August 05, 2014, 08:24:46 PM
Also, I love the idea of a DIY Bitmessage-Mail-gateway on my own hardware. Is there anything out there already?
All the pieces exist if you know how to put them together.

If you're running your own mail server, then you can run Bitmessage in daemon mode and use bmwrapper to add a POP/SMTP interface that your stack can interface with.

Thanks for the pointer, noted down!

Offline System (Armory only if I recall right...)

The offline system is completely uncritical. It doesn't need bitcoind nor the Armory blockchain, so 100mb free HDD space is enough. CPU and memory wise, a Raspberry Pi is already sufficient. This means that *any* computer you are able to install a recent OS on will be fine with offline Armory. I highly suggest Linux for this.

It got much, much better with the online system too. Before, you needed around 8 gig memory. Now a "normal computer" is fine. Others will chime in what this means in detail (more than 50gb HDD for example).

Ente
Ty for that, I know shit about linux aside from my limited experience with my cloud VPS.

So that said, it would be I guess as you said, at least for offline, any old laptop I can get my hands on with at least one USB port running XP, Vista or I guess 7. However XP is the only OS I have a copy of.

Yep, anything with USB should do.
I'd really suggest you to give Linux a try. Use a Ubuntu Live-CD for example, if you don't like it, remove the CD and use windows as before (well, backup your wallet, right? heh)
You will only be using Armory anyway. Armory (and firefox and openoffice and thunderbird etc) look all the same, no matter if on windows or Linux.
Linux will be more robust, and runs better on slower hardware than comparably new windows versions.
You'll get plenty of help should you get stuck.

Ente
Again, thx for he help. As for the online system, I'm thinking maybe like a 1.5+ Gh CPU, 2gb of RAM with something like 100gb minimum of disk space. Will probably just use XP for the time being to see how that works out then figured out where to go from there.

I suspect the two laptops alone will run me at least a $100 a pop, probably closer to $150 each which is why options will be limited. I know I don't need much though since it will just be an Armor online only system and not have email and stuff running.
1110  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 05, 2014, 07:40:31 PM
One of my machines came pretty mangled up using DHL. Looks like it was scuffs from the factory as most of the damage looked like rubbing damage which wouldn't happen in shipping.

Just a heads up.

I am debating to send it back or keep it, looks to be hashing 430, while every other batch 5 is at 440+. Meh.
If it's hashing good, just bite the bullet or you'll end up with lost income.

As for me, here we are on the 5th and still no movement on my 4 B5 units I paid 0.68 per unit for totaling 2.72 BTC which they said would ship early and he we now have B6 on the site for 0.66 per unit. Not really complaining since when I did buy, I bought in with a original Aug. 7th ship date. Just frustrated some that I haven't gotten early shipping per the one Bitmain post.

24 Hour Earnings 0.04998243

Aint this a thing of beauty he said sarcastically knowing he's supposed to be getting 0.086 a day

Hope these damn dips stop. Started doing spreadsheets so I can track daily averages per week which will be used for daily per month at the end of the month.

Here's daily earnings so far since the first which don't look bad since the average is I think around 0.08

So while he dips suck, we do seem to try and make up for them.

Profit   Week 1
0.06259319   8/1/2014
0.10303386   8/2/2014
0.05753183   8/3/2014
0.09204825   8/4/2014
0   8/5/2014
0   8/6/2014
0   8/7/2014

I omitted the 5th since the days not over.

Edit: These figures are made up from block payouts for the day so I can have "true" 24h earnings.

With payments being the 17th of every month, when do most of you fill out your payment requests ?

I would assume the 16th due to things like time zones, making sure it's in on time for payroll processing etc.
Still looking for an answer to this, Ty.

I just don't want to miss any payments.

Also, after every payment request, does one have to sign up again for the following month or just fill out payment requests every month ?

Since no one is willing to help, Ill answer the questions (I used to be in this campaign from when it launched and several months after)

With payments being the 17th of every month, when do most of you fill out your payment requests ?

You can fill out a payment request from the 17th onwards (yes some people do request earlier, but just do it on the 17th). If you cant on the 17th you can do it a few days after and still receive a payout.

Also, after every payment request, does one have to sign up again for the following month or just fill out payment requests every month?

To my understanding, you should re-enroll each month once you have requested payment.

Hope all this helped Smiley

Ty for that, it does help ;-)

I still have yet to set up armory but am curious about a few things.

I know in the past, at least with XP, memory was an issue or I think online systems. In any event, I'm looking to get two used laptops to which I will re-write the OS so it's all fresh. That bein said, for both the online and offline systems that will be used or nothing but armory / the main btc client.

What should I look at in terms of processor, memory etc ? I don't want to spend a whole lot since these wont be used for every day use but just left running 24/7, a least in regards to the online system where as the offline system will just run sleep mode most of the time.

So...

Online System (Armor & Core Client)
Memory: xxx
OS: xxx
Processor: xxx
Anything else I'm not thinking of: xxx

Offline System (Armory only if I recall right...)
Memory: xxx
OS: xxx
Processor: xxx
Anything else I'm not thinking of: xxx

Again, since these wont be used for every day use but just armor an the core client I'm not looking to spend a lot for two used laptops but want to make sure I have something I can use for at least a year or more.

1116  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: August 05, 2014, 02:12:07 AM
/* I have 8 S1s and load balance by pointing 4 to slush and 4 to GHash. Seems a lot easier, but thanks for the info. */

That is definitely easier, I just wanted to figure out how the balancing worked because of the S2 in the middle.
Now I know how to point 8 miners evenly at 3 pools, but there really is not another pool that excites me. I hate
the payouts on Eligius and just never made any money on BTCGuild, so for now will keep the split between Slush
and Ghash.

It all comes down to luck but I do ok on BTCGuild. I myself have mined on various pools but I'll be setting up on Slush as a backup soon.
1117  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 05, 2014, 02:07:34 AM
5 Hours in and they are still up. Stock clocks 442 gh/s each in the webui. Mining on WestHash.com (The North American version of NiceHash)

WestHash is showing 930 GH/s avg 5 min accepted speed. No rejects

Looking at the graphs on WestHash...and it looks like it running between 890 gh/s to 1000 gh/s

Firmware is 7-28-2014

Temps 40-43

I might try to overclock in a week. Gonna let these burn in and join the other 2 units later this week.

Bitmain you rock!

But damn if only there was a wifi antennae built into these suckers....
Congrats, wish more people got good units like this. Whats your total setup look like right now or is it just he S3's ?
1118  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 05, 2014, 12:31:24 AM
while it is great to see some other people offering loans without collateral.I think you are a capable judge and fair(though not at first lol).It is a bit suprising to see you have not recieved neg trust for offering loans with no collateral.if you read my flaME war you will see that i support and admire what your doing.I dont believe hypocrites like vod should neg trust you for using your own judgement.Your future will be successfull if you continue your cautious but fair treatment of others
Why would VOD leave neg trust to hap ?

If hap fails it will be because of his own doing which would be a lesson for him to learn from. So VOD wouldnt have to do anything but maybe say I told you so at some point but probably wouldnt.

I'm thankful for hap and have already paid back .2 of the .33 owed.
