You must be mistaken,  I didn't get any 9 points free from wake over.  Matter of fact,  I won my due against Kanapka 6:3. You can check it there.

Round 1 - walkover vs Saint-loup.
Round 3 - walkover vs bullrun2020bro

That's 6, with additional 3 against Kanapka it will be 9 total. Same as Trofo if I counted correctly.

For my entire 3 seasons so far, I don't think I've ever been privilege to get such freebies, I'll likely be 1st-2nd place by now, If had gotten such freebies too, although it depends on if those who gave the walkover aren't fixture I won regardless.

I'd usually say I'll rather my fail with honor, than succeed without it, but in this case getting 3 points from an opponent not submitting their picks is not dishonorable, so you lots should feel free to toss it my way too  Grin

Such a shame slackovic, sorry 'bout that! I think you still submit your pick now, If it's still opened at least, that way you'll find close if mitch was going to win the round anyways.

Still didn’t manage to buy E. Haaland, sure we would be seeing him in this GW? I’ll be watching but, his sure to have his return on my team in the weeks to come, I think.

I didn't get Haaland back yet either at least not for the current game week, I'll probably stick to that plan even after this game to be sure he's very fit and Guardiola would not be having him on heavy minutes rotation, it probably takes less than 30 minutes on a good day for Haaland to make his significant mark, so coming off or going to the bench early might not really matter, I just want to be sure he's pretty much okay now and wouldn't be returning to the sidelines after just a game or two.

Salah should be back in England soon right ? and could be up for the game against Arsenal on Sunday right ?

I didn't expect this to happen to me twice. First time with mv1986 now happened to slackovic too.
There are few matches left, but slackovic couldn't take advantage of this opportunity to get points and avoid relegation.

That's quite a bummer for us vying for a better position on the table, though, since there is only a 3 points difference between 9th and 5th position and you supposedly get a free pass  Sad

Slackovic have been consistent and those 3 points would have been very valuable to himself too (If he could get it, but you can't win if you don't play), I'm convinced there must have been some reasonable for him being unable to submit his answers, I mean some who took part in the free week with a friendly against Trofo, it doesn't make much sense that he just supposedly forgot about the deadline, I hope he's alright, though!

I only took the early advantage against LTU because Newcastle won against Aston Villa, I felt Newcastle or draw was the better choice than an outright win on Aston Villa while I'd have still need to figure out whether or not to go with Watkins getting on the scoresheet or not, that's a tough one, although my expectation was just a 1-1 at the very least, not some complete blowout win away from home for an injury ravaged Newcastle side.

your free bets will be credited to your sportsbet.io accounts today

I would also like to say thanks for the free bet. I tried my luck on a German tennis player as I won the free bet from the Bundesliga and I won. Smiley I hope that I can be this lucky on my future bets as well.

Congratulations!

I was also able to get a win with my freebet as well, I had it on a small betbuilder on the Arsenal vs Nottingham Forrest match, my bet was on the line already, I however got my arse saved by 93rd minute corner kick awarded to Nottingham, as a total of 2+ corners from the host was I needed left to win my bet.

but South Africa is playing some solid football so far

And they've got a solid reward for it, with a 1 goal lead, but can they keep their nerves and shit together for the remaining 13 minutes plus stoppage time left in this game.

It's going to be quite a major upset if they do, and I'd be glad because it's going to be an extra advantage for Nigeria, because I'd rather Nigeria face South Africa in the semi finals, if we make it past Angola than play against Morocco.

EDIT:
That didn't take long after my post, Morocco have got themselves a redemption chance from the penalty spot  Sad

EDIT 2: Hakimi has blown the chabce!!! Damn, now it's South Africa's game to lose!

Here we go, now is a highway to championship for Ivory Coast, like ige said when you have this luck..... is difficult to stop them, is what we call the "luck of champion".

Yes, agreed. Sometimes this kind of rush is just all continuing until the end. Currently in Asia Cup Tajikistan is having the same craziness going on. First time in the tournament and now into the last 8, defeating big guys on big luck! But also on big play too so full respect. GL to Ivory Coast supporters!!

I don't want to take anything away from the Ivorians efforts last night but If they had not conceded that goal very early, they likely would have had much to play for or come all out aggressively, I strongly doubt they stand a chance to win the by any stretch to be honest.

----------------------

Hey, hey, hey. Burkina Faso wasn't as bad as suggested, but they really had to get this game started, didn't they, with that own goal. And for a long time our league leader was going to extend his lead at 1-0 but just a few mistakes and a penalty ensures I very happily claim the top -- don't care if it's only going to be for a while. Finally #1 somewhere this season. I'll savour the short-lived moment, if that's what it ends up to be!

Mali! Mali!

I really don't know what's up with African countries when they concede early into a game, It's often almost is as though that's the end, but getting better goal per match ratio is something I didn't expect, I believe the ratio is still well above 2.5 goals, if I'm not mistaken.

Xavi joins Sven and Klopp in announcing retirements and stepping down.

Sven gets applause, plaudits, tributes because he has less than a year to live. Klopp gets it all because he says goodbye and is well loved anyway. But poor Xavi, announcing his and instead of asking him aboutall the details of why, he gets ridiculed and shat on.

Guys dragged you out of misery, made you win and improved El Clasico stats. And still he is too shit.

Fk football man.
Xavi arrived to Barca when club was in deep shit. Under Koeman club reached bottom and future looked so dark with all financial problems. Xavi stabilised everything, gave hope and even won La Liga. We have great new generation from La Masia, I hope that club won't turn into comedy like MU.
This season isn't going as planned, seems that Xavi failed to handle pressure and probably some changes is needed. But I hope that one day he will return to club.

Barcelona fans have already lost all the trust they had in the club before Xavi's arrival, and Xavi appointment was linking bridge that brought the fans and the club back together, Xavi have tried his best in my opinion and any coach would have faced similar situation, I mean when you your hand tied over transfer policies and you can't bring the necessary players you think the team needs rather the club keeps scouting for nothing but free agents and very your lads that they'll not be having a good contract for because of the desire of such players to play for a club like Barcelona.

Now. It's going to take long than expected for the team to get back on its two feet once Xavi leaves, you'll have the fans getting rebellious over the slightest of poor actions or inactions, Xavi leaving the club is lose lose situation for Barcelona.

I still believe this AFCON will be won by an underdog especially that the big dogs are crashing out so easily without putting up a fight..

Just saw Cape Verde get into the quarter finals and it took a defensive error that forced the goalkeeper to commit a foul which lead to the penalty and a free pass...and judging from how these penalties are coming this will be want will get the big teams out!

Otherwise my teams are still in it.. Cape Verde and Senegal and surprisingly I like how the Nigerians have managed to put their act together and finally looking threatening..just hope no more draws to shake up the Pool as competition gets closer to wrapping up!

On the contrary, I don't think the AFCON will be won by an underdog, to be honest a lot of big house hold names have been eliminated, but most of they have either a shitty squad or terrible chemistry all they brought to the tournament is just how their national team name is in Africa.

Cape Verde played really better than Mauritania and they deserved the win in regularly time, they were lucky by the penalty incident that ended in their favor, but goal was coming all along for them and it was just a matter of time imo.

-/Question/-
I think basketball is one of the least reliable for low probabilities (@<1.1) and Tennis is the safest...

I think it's the opposite, I do agree that Basketball is highly unreliable for small odds, as a matter of factor all sports does have this scenario too, but thinking tennis is the safest is quite the opposite, I'd say both sports are unpredictable for little odds, and Tennis in my opinion is the least safest for such probabilities, if you had followed the just concluded Australian Open well enough, I believe your perspective to this opinion could be different.

I have gone through the questions, but on question 6 "Morocco needs extra time or penalties but still progresses to the semifinals" If I choose this answer, do they have to win both games in extra time/penalty kicks or just the one game?

To go through to the semifinals, they need to win both games right, so they don't need to win both games in extra time or penalties, they just need to win at least one game through extra time or penalties and still get through to the semi finals, it doesn't matter how the second win comes about even if it is a walkover or so.

----------------------------------

I've submitted my picks, at least very early this time around... It's in lady luck hands now.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet.io AFCON 2024 prediction pool discussion thread on: January 29, 2024, 12:55:01 AM
I didnt expect Guinea Equatorial losing, in fact without seeing the game they have the chance to go trought but Nsue failed the penalty, seems like they make a very good game asides of being with one less player a large ammount of time.

That was quite a bummer! Egypt with another unimpressive performance, and they final out, they could have just got knocked in the regular time, but congrats to Igebotz, he's got 6 points form the last 6 possible, Its still a very volatile move up and that the table, and CasperBGD should watch his too their many player coming for his crown, it's just a 6 points difference between 1st and 7th position, and there are no easy picks, an interesting competition we've got here!

@harkorede you got full amount. That 1 mBTC bet wasn't paid to cryptofrka since he isn't part of this campaign and it isn't fair to add those costs however minimal to LC account. I believe he is ok to get that payment from BSFL rewards but please make sure to let us know once again or to agree something else with him.

Oh, My sincerely apologies, I understand your point, and it literally skipped my mind that cryptofrka isn't a part of our campaign here.

I'll surely work something out with him, TY!
517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet.io AFCON 2024 prediction pool discussion thread on: January 28, 2024, 07:36:24 PM
Emilio Nsue, the AFCON's current top goal scorer cost me a potential 3 points, those points really would have been a huge one for me, and possibly push me further on the leader. If only he had scored score that penalty, it very much likely could have been a different game entirely as the least expectation would be the Equatorial Guinea protect that goal by all their means neccesary.

-----------------

We've got another cracker coming up next, let's see if the Egyptians can play a much better game in the absence of Mo Salah.

Harkorede - cryptofrka (1mBTC)   3-6 (ouch, my man)
(Honest?) Alex - buwaytress (for fun)   6-3
Steve - Harkorede (for fun)   3-4

Yes, you can cheer all you like, I'm not a bitter loser, good game! Cheesy

At least, I can pride myself in getting a win over Steve, who supposedly should know these sports better than me, and showing him that we're not dunking on no smoke in Division 1 and BSFL in generally.

But then buwaytress losing to Honest Alex is bad look for Division 1  Angry

Edit: Just took Sinner for the first time today at 1.85, this is already much better than prematch odds of 1.35

Edit2: and once more now that it is 2:0 for Medvedev but Sinner finally started to play @4.6
When I am going down I am going in style  Grin Predicting Medvedev dropping off now and loosing his cool in fifth set

Man, cryptofrka did himself a huge favour taking Medvedev early. Have a bit on Sinner with a friend so he's already bugging me for it.

cryptofrka is just having a good week, yeah, he only does when it doesn't matter but at least my 1 mBTC should get him two shots of long beach with lime for the night  Grin

Looking forward to seeing struggle when the league gets underway again, @Trofo please pay that lucky prick from my stipend  Grin

------------------

Time to regroup for my team, holiday is over and we've got a lot of tidying up to do.

Medvedev vs Sinner isn't a final I'd want to bore my self with, I prefer to watch tennis that often involves great rallies and terrific shots being made not just some heavy service which set up for an even heavier return and we're done after 4-5 rallies, that's why I'd prefer to watch Alcaraz everyday and every night, he brings all types of tennis entertainment every time he steps on court, such a joy to watch.

Sinner would likely rank as either no 1 or 2 in the ATP rankings this, I reckon, in as much as his fitness doesn't wage any war against him.

Any news with Haaland? He's back in training, probably still early to risk him though.
I'll keep Alvarez and hope for the best. Probably wildcarding after this GW anyway.

Haaland still isn't fit enough for start, and he's current possible return date is ahead of the midweek fixture against Burnley which he'll like miss in my opinion or be a late cameo since it's a home match for Man City, but regardless he should available fully for next weekend, if the there are no new developments.

If you're wildcarding after this GW then you have nothing to worry about, I'm sure there might be some big names returning to their clubs from both Asia and Africa before the next GW week deadline, so it should be easier to navigate or get necessary replacements.
