501  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: hyprmall.com - ecommerce using crypto on: October 07, 2023, 01:31:56 PM
1. We hope to mitigate this by implementing a review and rating system with manual intervention when needed.
In addition to these things, I think it'd be nice to also require sellers to provide a picture that clearly shows the item together with a handwritten note containing their name, the date, and the latest block height number ["this" is how we do it on this forum].

2. Can you please elaborate on these issues?
Sure, I was referring to simplifying the manner in which the tracking and freezing of an assigned address [e.g. one that belongs to a scammer] could be done, in order to stop them from withdrawing their funds [assuming that everything would be on-chain].

BTW, multi-posting is against forum rules [you can respond to multiple users by clicking the "insert quote" button at the top right corner of each post (when you're in the "post reply" field)].
502  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: hyprmall.com - ecommerce using crypto on: October 07, 2023, 11:11:05 AM
We are currently in testing and would like your thoughts and feedback.
A few notes:

  • I didn't see any preventive measures with regard to adding fake items to the platform in question!
  • I noticed every time I clicked on the deposit/balance button, it gave a different address but IMO, it'd be better if only one address was attached to each user [bad for privacy, but it'd come in handy when certain issues arise].
  • There's no "home" button in the dashboard.

Any plans for adding an escrow system to your platform?
503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create Taproot address for your Bitcoin on: October 06, 2023, 09:01:22 PM
@SquirrelJulietGarden
Not sure why this thread has moved to the "Bitcoin Discussion" board [last time I checked, it was in the "Beginners & Help" board], but regardless of that, I decided to re-upload all of those invalid Imgur images into "TalkImg".

You can also add the "Unstoppable Wallet" to the list.
504  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Moneygram ginamit narin ang blockchain technology on: October 06, 2023, 05:32:45 PM

505  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: $20 Kokruuu scam report on: October 06, 2023, 02:03:34 PM
I am quite convinced that the other two positive feedbacks on FlexxycDz were also left by his alt accounts.
You're probably right, but I prefer not to tag them without concrete proof.

I think it more than Ok to tag and flag Kokruuu and all his alts. Who knows how many newbies and guest users we might save from this scambug since his ads are still up.
You have a point, and I've supported two of your flags, but considering that @FlexxycDz is still using his/her account, it'd be better for OP to create a type 2 or 3 flag instead...

@breached2312
You might want to create a type 2 or 3 flags [also known as the scammer flag (read "Trust flags")] on those two accounts [with enough support (+3), it'll be activated and the scammer in question would get a "red warning" on top of all of his/her threads while also getting another "warning" on his/her account]!

  • Steps: Go to their trust summary page > Scroll down to find the "add a flag" button [it's located at the end of the negative feedback description] > Choose the appropriate type, then proceed to the next step [the rest is self-explanatory].
506  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger's laying off employees. Thoughts? on: October 06, 2023, 09:53:42 AM
What do you guys think about this development?
Considering that they're not the first cryptocurrency company to go down that path in 2023 and their downward trajectory, it was bound to happen at some point [I'm not surprised].

I also wasn't aware that there were very negative opinions about Ledger's CEO.  Very interesting.
This is a direct result of being the face of a company, but he shouldn't be the only one [the whole board, president, and other staff deserve to be blamed as well]!

The numbers he mentioned about the total number of wallets sold are frightening,
They're great at manipulating newcomers [unfortunately]!
- Some of their users tend to purchase multiple hardware wallets of the same kind (refer to their subreddit).

and I do not know how he knows the percentage of securing 20% of global crypto assets.
Perhaps they're spying in some way, but that number shouldn't matter when their main focus is on shitcoins.
507  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor New Hardware Wallet _____! on: October 05, 2023, 02:21:09 PM
We can see glimpses of new device, and all we can see is black shiny color and totally new design.
I'm seeing two new devices... Is it just me or does the other device look like a black version of Cryptosteel Capsule?
- It's the perfect combo.

Can someone guess the name for new Trezor device?
It's probably the Trezor Model R that I mentioned in "this" post Smiley
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons of my experience and knowledge about Bitcoin on: October 05, 2023, 12:35:52 PM
_ DCA into Bitcoin, emotions aside, No need to time this market.
You might want to also include how they should keep it safe [e.g. Passport Batch 2 hardware wallet].

_ Attend meet up and conference, the Bitcoin community is awesome.
Some users have already voiced their concerns over attending such events but with regard to the latter part [specifically referring to those that are present in events], I have mixed feelings... There are always some freebies at such events and if you're someone who doesn't even have basic knowledge of Bitcoin, then you might fall for their traps [e.g. in previous events, there was a certain brand that gave away a bunch of their so-called hardware wallet for free and if you decide to use them as your main wallet, it could go wrong in so many ways]!
509  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any code or extension where I can hide the avatar on the top left page? on: October 05, 2023, 11:30:36 AM
@blue Snow
Regarding dkbit98's comment about the address bar, if you use Chrome in full-screen mode [F11 on Windows], it automatically hides the address bar [the only downside is that it'd hide the tab bar as well].

Set the brightness to a level that will cause the screen to appear black to anyone who is viewing from an angle. This would prevent your friend from being able to read the text after the avatar and signature have been hidden. Cool
This would work wonders on a TN panel, but not so much on VA and IPS panels.
- IMO, the privacy screen/filter that LoyceV mentioned "here" is a better alternative solution... You can even detach some of them easily and transfer it to other monitors [the only downside is that most of them are made for smaller screens (21 to 27 inches) that have 16:9 aspect ratio].
510  Economy / Services / Re: Custom digital art 0.001 btc -1mbtc-( I'll make what you want) on: October 04, 2023, 04:45:23 PM
Am I correct in assuming that the name that appears on all of them is your name on another platform?
- If the answer to that is "YES", you should link your profile here as proof and if it's "NO", it'd be better if the sample you include had your current forum name attached to them.

I'd then create it and once they approve
You might want to also mention the number of revisions prior to accepting a job.
511  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: $20 Kokruuu scam report on: October 04, 2023, 03:44:01 PM
You forgot to include his/her alt account: Kokruu [proof]
- Tagged!

As far as I can see, you sent the money first, and then you found an earlier post where that seller was recognized as a potential scammer. It should be the reverse order, right?
Considering that the post in question was literally in the next tab from the very first moment, clearly shows that OP didn't bother to take a minute to read the comment section of that thread.
512  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: October 04, 2023, 12:41:35 PM

Walang anuman Smiley

513  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Digital Yuan Hardware Wallets on: October 04, 2023, 08:13:20 AM
I think these will be hard to find if you’re not a Chinese citizen with a bank account.
And to add salt to the wound, it appears that some of them might only exist in specific branches:

  • Driven by the Xiongan New Area Party Working Committee Management Committee and the Shijiazhuang Central Branch of the People's Bank of China, the Hebei Xiongan Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China completed the research and development and production of the first digital RMB "hardware wallet".

Quote
The closest thing I could find to this was the following "Display Smart Card" from the same brand.
- I'm still not sure where you can get your hands on one of these, but you can at least see the specs.

On the following page, there's a short video that shows how it works: Link

From what I've gathered, most of them act as smart cards that are targeted toward those who either don't have a phone or those who prefer not to use their mobile devices at the checkout counter.
514  Local / Pamilihan / Re: pagtabi ng USDC mayrong incentives sa coinsph on: October 03, 2023, 06:33:51 PM
Parang staking ang style nila ang approach, although hindi natin alam ang process nila more like a bank style din, kasi for sure pwede nila yan ipahiram or ipagamit

515  Economy / Service Discussion / Any experience with the following MCN: AIR Creators Ecosystem on: October 03, 2023, 05:28:57 PM
While I was searching for MCNs earlier, I stumbled upon a "post" that mentioned there's one that has Bitcoin as one of its payment methods: AIR Creators Ecosystem [or Air Media-Tech]

  • I was wondering if anyone from here has any experience with them.
    - It has a few mixed reviews on Trustpilot and Reddit, but there's no way of knowing which one is real or not!
  • If someone else [preferably not newbies] knows about another MCN that also pays with Bitcoin, please mention their name here.
516  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: October 03, 2023, 04:02:35 PM
3. https://chainz.cryptoid.info shows only confirmed transactions. if you paste unconfirmed transactions ID, It doesn't recognize it. Somebody confirm this.
Yes, this is indeed the case [their data is limited to only transactions that have been included in the mined blocks].

- As much as I hate to say this, Crystal Explorer appears to be back!
- I'm curious to know if we should consider removing Atomic from the list or not [personally, I don't think it brings anything to the table].
517  Economy / Economics / Re: Honda Now Accepts Bitcoin and Ethereum As Payment Methods on: October 02, 2023, 06:05:31 PM
Honda the giant of Japanese automobile now accept bitcoin and ethereum for payment through a third party partnership deal with a blockchain payment system called FCF Pay.
I believe this also means they'd still receive fiat [subject field is somewhat misleading, but I'm blaming Binance for this]!

*Will you be willing to spend your btc to buy car from Honda?
If it didn't require going through an intermediary, my answer would've been yes, but as things stand, it's going to be a big fat NO.
- I don't want to be affected by another third-party data breach!

*Is this news big enough to trigger market uptrend in the coming weeks, months?
No.

which takes a commission of Flat fee of 3usd + 2%.
Another reason not to use their services for such products.

why is Honda (as well as many other partners of FCF Pay) unable to accept cryptocurrencies directly as payment for its products (auto\motorcycles, leasing, rent), but needs the services of intermediaries, like FCF Pay?
They don't want to deal with its volatile nature.
518  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: October 02, 2023, 11:18:02 AM
Tama yung ginagawa mo dahil by the time na may mahanap na block, baka yung high priority fee na pipiliin natin, magiging low priority nalang [by design, nagko-compete tayong lahat for the block space].

At teka lang, grabe naman itong lumabas na adjustment as of typing this.

https://talkimg.com/images/2023/10/01/PLZ4D.png
Siguro it was right after a mined block, kaya normal lang na maging ganito kababa ang mga fees [temporarily].

I think Ethereum mayroon pa ring mga nagmimine until now dito sa Pilipinas.
Not sure kung ibang variant ng Ethereum ang tinutukoy mo kabayan, pero it's worth noting na last year pa nag switch ang Ethereum from PoW to PoS [mining > staking].
520  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for any kinda part-time jobs. on: October 01, 2023, 10:09:34 PM
Bump
Considering that four years have passed since you made this thread, you might want to update the opening post to showcase your portfolio, and while you're waiting for someone on this forum to contact you, you can try the following platforms:

Note: I prefer not to vouch [DYOR before using any of the above platforms]!
