@alani123. Mail in ballots is another method to cheat easily for the incumbent because it controls the biggest political machinery. Trump might be saying he does not like it for Democratic states to allow it hehehe.
5162  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-07-30] Bitcoin Held by Exchanges Drops to 2019 Levels, Demand Rising on: August 04, 2020, 02:08:20 AM
Is there data on altcoins held on exchanges? Demand on bitcoin will certainly be not forever. I reckon many investors might begin to speculate that bitcoin has become overvalued and invest on the most popular altcoins.

2020 is the year of the Defi hype hehehe.
5163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger 1 Mln Users Data Under Attack on: August 04, 2020, 01:22:54 AM
@Lucius. Agreed! However, the telephone directory has also enough available information to do similar types of attacks and it has been publicly available for more than 50 years but it has never been considered a cause for attacks.

The bitcoin news media is creating much clickbaits about this news. There were similar hacks of this type on Coinbase, Bitmex and many other exchanges also that never caused mass increase in serious crimes.
5164  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-07-30] Power plants in Iran can mine Bitcoin on: August 03, 2020, 05:27:50 AM
I reckon that bitcoin might cause more problems on Iran than a relief. America might sanction bitcoin addresses and use blockchain analytics to trace where their coins go and it might also cause more problems on the services where the coins might be sent.

They should mine a Cryptonote coin.
5165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger 1 Mln Users Data Under Attack on: August 03, 2020, 04:13:22 AM
However, the argument was that the public information available about everyone never prompted on someone breaking into a person's house similar to the hacked information from Ledger will not cause criminals breaking into those people's homes.

Is the telephone directory a danger to society?

You cannot compare publicly available data with the fact that someone stole data (name, surname, address, phone number) of 9500 people who are crypto users and who bought a hardware wallet. These people are indeed in potential danger of physical assault, but of course no one will just go and break into someone's house or apartment if there is no information that that person has a significant amount in crypto. Stolen data can be the basis for analysis and social engineering towards these users.

Criminals break into homes for much less value than finding out someone has 1+ BTC worth over $10k, and it's not clear to me that you can even draw parallels between the phone book and the data stolen from Ledger.

Are you telling everyone that breaking into home crimes on Ledger users will increase because of this hack? I reckon it might not be. They might have many Nigerian scam in their inbox, however hehehe.

I reckon not the miners. The producers of Asics for Aeon, however, might pump this and begin a new industry for the next in demand coin in the next years. Private, anonymous, Cryptonote coins.

My speculation hehehehe.
5167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: August 02, 2020, 01:58:51 AM
@everyone. Aeon support and resistance range is on 3000 sats and 10k sats. This is a wide accumulation range, however, when the bear market has ended, Aeon can certainly pump to 50k sats very easily.

I am only speculating hehehe.
is there any strong fundamentals that will support the price of AEON pump to 50k satoshi? or just read from the chart ?,
I see in coinmarketcap AEON prices have gone up 5x from the beginning until now

I cannot say strong. However, the cosebase is presently stable after the rebase and it is maintained by 2 good developers. Monero developer smooth and Monero research lab member stoffu.

5169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: August 01, 2020, 04:06:25 AM
@Febo. However, it does not protect bitcoin from the argument that it is being used as a get rich quick coin more than a medium of exchange. This is where bitcoin's monetary system has failed, I reckon. Grin's monetary supply will fix this.
5170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON: Cryptonote privacy, efficiency, decentralization, and stability on: August 01, 2020, 03:31:43 AM
@estenity. Are you speculating the pumps are done by the miners to increase their profitabilty? I reckon that might be good for Aeon's basic mining infrastructure and secure the network more. I reckon that should be the first economic development for any proof of work cryptocoin.

I speculate that it is americanpegasus pumping. Hello americanpegasus hehe.
5171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger 1 Mln Users Data Under Attack on: August 01, 2020, 02:33:22 AM
There is also another form of an old, public information source where criminals can take your name, address and phone no. and it is readily available.
This is a telephone directory. It never caused anyone to break into houses hehehe.

This is not a good comparison, the phone book can contain the name, surname and address and of course the phone number - but it will certainly not contain information that someone is a crypto user or that person has bought a hardware wallet. But the very title of this topic is very wrong, because the attack is long over, the data has been stolen and the damage has been done. Those whose names and physical addresses are compromised in this hack are definitely a cause for concern - of course if the data falls into the wrong hands - others can only fear spam in their email box.

I agree that the comparison is incorrect. The phone book is somewhat anonymous, because you need to know something about a person in order to find him and know what he possesses.
For example, you can find media personalities, but they are not difficult to find anyway. The rest of the people will be dark horses for you.
This is the same as breaking into every house in the hope of finding something very valuable.

However, the argument was that the public information available about everyone never prompted on someone breaking into a person's house similar to the hacked information from Ledger will not cause criminals breaking into those people's homes.

It appears the whale that controls the bot has been supporting 3000 sats and has been buying everything he can up to 10k sats.

Aeon market is very illiquid, I speculate the whale cannot accumulate on big volume without pumping it.
5173  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-07-28] LBC adds 2 Elliptic surveillance tools to "manage risk" on: July 31, 2020, 02:55:14 AM
@squatter. Do you use Paxful regularly? I have read a news article that Paxful has required KYC on everyone because of an all time high in scams during that time hehe.
5174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger 1 Mln Users Data Under Attack on: July 31, 2020, 02:19:29 AM
Now we're going to hear news that people getting robbed and threatened to hand their ledger and the keys.  Sad

You think that someone will break into your house and attack you because they know you bought a ledger? Most of ledger users have more valuable stuff in their houses than on their wallets. How are you going to know if:

The buyer bought it for themselves and not to give away or sell?
The buyer holds a lot of coins?

You could end up breaking into someone's home and risking getting shot or stabbed to learn that they sold it, gave it to a friend or have just $1000 or something like that in cryptocurrencies. The wedding rings most people have on their fingers all the time can be worth more than that.

I have a ledger and it wasn't bought on their site so I don't care.

You make a very good point here which is being missed by most posters.

To bring up a similar case of compromised email. Bitmain was hacked and thousands of customers emails home addresses and gear purchased was leaked.

I purchased 100 plus pieces of bitmain gear. Does that hack mean many people will come to my home?
Not likely.   But if I owned a ledger I would not have all my coins on it any more.

There is also another form of an old, public information source where criminals can take your name, address and phone no. and it is readily available.

This is a telephone directory. It never caused anyone to break into houses hehehe.
5175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who said that ICOs are dead? on: July 31, 2020, 01:58:15 AM
@bitmover. Also, the news article mentioned that some of the investment came from Ethereum's genesis address. Is that where the premine is? Does this imply that this project has Vitalik and the Ethereum Foundation's approval?

This project might become the real Eth2.0 hehehe.

it's basically hype and fake promises, everyone can do that even little 4 years old kid, promises. now you will see those whale/s who bought into it going to pump this project like crazy even if it offer and have nothing, just like cardano, pokadot or other scam projects which started this way... just whales and fake promise then it start from there... it's all about the fake pump that excel a coin to the top
you can look crypto as a whole there is nothing much to offer but scams and promises... and most are worth billions! basically, invest wisely and try to think

Agreed. Many of the ICOs and the IEOs are hype and fake promises where some founders and developers are tricked by themselves in believing in their own hype hehehe.

However, I was only speculating if Ava was given Vitalik's proof of approval to be the next top 5 project in Coinmarketcap.
5176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 30, 2020, 12:57:22 AM
@notblox1. Khabib and Justin Gaethje have signed the contract and the fight will be on October 24. This is official.

What will be Khabib's speech be after the fight? Retirement or a speech against China for causing the spread of this plague hehehe?

UFC president Dana White has revealed the date for Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Justin Gaethje.

CNN spoke to White, who said that Nurmagomedov was hit hard by the death of Abdulmanap.

“It’s been very rough on him,” White told CNN Sport’s Don Riddell. “His father was a hero to him, he loved his father, they had a very close relationship and it was very hard on him.”

The UFC boss went on to break some news. He announced that the UFC lightweight title unification bout between champion Khabib and interim title holder Gaethje will happen on Oct. 24.

“It’s going to happen, tell you right here right now. That fight is going to happen,” he said. “Khabib vs. Gaethje, October 24th.”

There was a pic taken from Bidens notes for his latest press conference and it had notes about Kamala Harris:

Source: https://www.businessinsider.com/kamala-harris-on-joe-bidens-handwritten-notes-amid-vp-rumors-2020-7?r=DE&IR=T

Harris has been my favourite all the time and I wanted to place a bet on here in the upcoming days - she was around 2.70 before this pic was taken. Now the odds have dropped already, which is super annoying^^:

Source: https://orbitexch.com/customer/sport/market/1.168954647

I somehow think this 1.7x is still good, but not too much into this topic and the other candidates to be brave enough to place a bet. Can anyone convince me to do it ?

Biden has nice handwriting for a person of his age, if it was him writing those notes actually, chapeau.

I think I will have to lock this topic soon. A lot of the posts rather belong in off-topic discussion about the US Election (I am sure there is some thread), because this thread is about betting on it and finding good value odds. Sure there must be some arguments back and forth, impact of Corona, economical crisis, riots etc., but I miss some more betting related things. For the time being I will be more strict with deleting posts and see if it gets better that way Grin

However, Biden might not have an alternative on choosing Susan Rice. His administration will need and use her to protect Biden from the Russiagate scandal hehehe.

if your email is leaked, expected to see alot of spam investment offer on your inbox  Grin

Also, assume that your name, phone no. and postal address information to be somewhere in the darknet together with 999,999 other names and other information hehehe.

The hackers should create a darknet public contacts list similar to a phonebook hehe.

5179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who said that ICOs are dead? on: July 29, 2020, 11:18:24 PM
Not paying too much attention to ICOs, they can be successful in this market but in the long term they will surely collapse. Investing in ICOs is too risky at the moment, it is best to only invest in IEO at the top exchanges in this market.
yes, investors now prefer to invest in large IEO markets such as binance, okex and kucoin because in that market always choose the right project for investors, I myself prefer IEO over ico, because ico now, I see that nothing is successful, and often once a fund manipulation takes place on their website
That's true! I don't see any benefits from ICO projects since there were too many scam projects. Importantly, I don't believe in ICO projects anymore. I prefer investing in IEO projects than ICO ones, IEO is safer somehow I think. Many people say that ICO projects aren't dead yet, though, I have no interest in those projects anymore!

IEOs are safer only from the fund collecting stage because the risk of developers running with your investment is taken by the exchange. However, it does not protect you from failure of the project or from the risk of the project and the exchange from scamming you.

GB.

If he gave 100%, then we might see a knockout win with that?
I am not expecting, both of them can hype the fight, that's the way to sell the PPV but the actual fight would surely be not as what we are expecting.

Not the way we would expect it to be knowing how much they aged now. Its just about making them last up to 12 rounds only to show the public how they are now. Making the PPV worth the pay for this historical event.

Its not like how they are back in the days where they can throw a combo without dislocating thier hips. Throwing a hard punch might even break their knuckle bones for its now almost brittled. What they could do in the ring is just a 1 and 2 punch and back away again.

Sports news article title will be Mike Tyson wins via Roy Jones' dislocated hip while throwing uppercut hehehehe.

Also, will they wear a headset? The organizers should avoid one or both old men to go to the emergency room and come out with Parkinson's.

Can they still give out those kind of powerful punches? Discolating bones or parkinsons etc. is unlikely and also i dont really believe that they would put up a headgear on this match.

This might an exhibition match but not a sparring match either. Honestly, seeing those headgears would just simply take out the fun that most been hoping for.

I agree though on what you had asked since these dudes where old but im sure that they arent really that brittle.

The fun of watching 2 old exboxers fighting in the ring because the promoter thought he can make some money from bored people during a pandemic hehehe.

This fight will be similar to the mistake called Tito Ortiz versus Chuck Liddel 3 hehe.
