5881  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-04] SoFi Obtains its BitLicense to Expose NY Customers to Cryptocurrenc on: December 08, 2019, 02:28:49 AM
Never heard of SoFi before, but after some research I found out it's a financial services company that started with providing student loans in 2011. It has annual revenue of $547M of which $126M is profit. Obviously the company changed a lot from a student loan company. Now it offers also mortgages, mortgage refinancing and personal loans, cash management accounts and an investment platform.
They never showed interest in cryptocurrencies before so this came as a big surprise. They are on a good path because BitLicense issued by New York State Department of Financial Services has some weight. Only 15 or so companies obtained the license, for example Coinbase, Bitstamp, Xapo, Robinhood, Circle.

However, how large is the cryptomarket in New York? I reckon it is not large enough for those exchanges you mentioned and Sofi hehe.
5882  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-02] 5 Small Chinese Crypto Exchanges Shut Down in November 2019 on: December 08, 2019, 01:51:48 AM
Are these news from China even true? That these exchanges are closing because of an anti-crypto government? If this is true why are the big exchanges in China like Huobi and OkEX are not having statements about this or at least looks to be affected on the government breathing under them. Not until we have some big names involve we cannot confirm these kinds of news.

Huobi will be part of a blockchain alliance that will be led by the government affiliated State Information Center in China.

I reckon some Chinese exchange founders might be politically connected hehehe.
5883  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-05] France Announces Digital Currency Venture: Crypto Bulls Roar on: December 07, 2019, 02:19:39 AM
The cryptobulls roared hehehe. This is clickbait. The article also mentioned that Crypto Bulls Excited. However, the comments on Twitter the article quoted were sarcastic. They were not bullish.
5884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 07, 2019, 01:38:54 AM
@wheelz1200. Agreed! Bucks -3.5 is very good. The Clippers have a bad record on the road. I reckon fair odds should be +6.5 for the Clippers.
5885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DigiByte delisted from Poloniex!!! on: December 07, 2019, 01:00:25 AM
That is massively discouraging news for huge dgb community and fans, i was in digibyte's telegram channel till an year ago and it was really active and dgb do have a really supporting community and most of them were not only hodlers but true believers in the project, with this news i think there will be some panic in the community and it can take some time to settle.

Jared Tate should stop if he cared for his community. He is only creating more danger on the value of his coin and the value of the money of the investors held on Digibyte.
5886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [NEWS] Binance accused of demanding for protection money from Digibyte on: December 07, 2019, 12:07:30 AM
News update.

It appears Jared Tate might be very angry at other exchanges after Binance denied the listing of his coin hehehe. He is presently attacking Poloniex on social media hehe.

He should befriend people who own exchanges if he wants to pump his Digibyte agenda.

Also, he should not bring in Satoshi in the argument. If he respected his vision he would not create a pump and dump coin.

Jared Tate, the founder of Digibyte, had some harsh words for cryptocurrency exchanges recently. He claims they are counter to what Satoshi Nakamoto would have wanted.

Jared Tate has been embroiled in a controversy that has left many in the cryptocurrency community divided. Recently, BeInCrypto reported, Tate publically said that Binance and Tron’s founder, Justin Sun, were “crooks.” Moreover, he said they were operating on borrowed time. In response to the drama, Poloniex decided to unilaterally delist Digibyte (DGB) from its exchange entirely.

However, new comments by Tate (@jaredctate) is adding more fuel to the fire. He recently took to Twitter to argue that exchanges were distorting the market with their greed and corruption. Moreover, he claims this was against Satoshi Nakamoto’s original vision.

5887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: December 06, 2019, 04:33:17 AM
Grin $1.00 is strong! I will give it 6 months beginning on January, 2020 to dump on $0.50. However, if it remains strong, it might be the time to begin buying hehehe.

Finally! Tongue

Finally what? I said 6 months to see if $1.00 holds strong. That would be a long enough time for miners to tolerate before they begin dumping again hehehe.
5888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculating with Tom Lee on: December 06, 2019, 03:44:22 AM
This must be real bearish times. Fsinsight is Fundstrat's research team. Why are they promoting Craig Wright's scamcoin? Has Tom Lee entered the scamcoin pumping business?

They might have extracted their BSV from their bitcoin private keys hehehe.

Bitcoin SV believes its protocol best represents the original vision for Bitcoin. Specifically, this means that Bitcoin SV does not limit its block size and believes that developers have too much power relative to miners. Today, the network is primarily used for storing metadata. BSV’s goal over the long-term is to provide usage both as a payments network and commodity data ledger (metadata storage). With its ambitious goals, Bitcoin SV is contributing to the necessary protocol design experimentation in crypto. No cryptocurrency has achieved global adoption, thus the space needs projects to continue tinkering with protocol designs to find the optimal one that can accommodate global adoption.

5889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ryan Selkis on ZCash on: December 06, 2019, 02:36:31 AM
This is similar to saying I am a zcash bagholder, I am convincing myself that I am making the correct decision in bagholding this. You should also baghold this with me hehehe.

5890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The Essential NFL Thread 🏈🏈 - new poll every week on: December 06, 2019, 01:38:34 AM
Bigger game for who tonight?  6-6 Cowboys or 6-6 Bears?

A Cowboys win gives them breathing room from the Eagles for the division title.

A win for the Bears puts them in the wildcard picture.

Bears are 3 point underdogs at home.

The Cowboys have one of the best offense in the NFL, they should be the favorite. However, only a field goal favorite might be small. I reckon it should be more hehehe.

New Poll Up:

12/08 8:20 PM

[157] SEATTLE
[158] LA RAMS

Line is currently -1 Seattle, cutting it pretty close. Rams need this one a bit more than Seattle, so my hunch is their gonna put on an extra high-geared performance for this one, and pull out the win. So again I'm voting for the underdog this week.

However, Seattle Seahawks want the important bye on the post season. They should win all their games before the rematch versus San Francisco again or they might not get it hehehe.

Moneyline on the Seahawks is my bet.

@wheelz1200. You are right, sportsbet.io has MVP bets. Lamar is the favorite 1.35 then Russ Wilson 4.25 then Deshaun Watson 15.00.

@hatshepsut93. That also argues for my point on postponed settlements. Something similar to theft, fraud or loss might occur because payments are not final.
5894  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-26] China Shuts Over 100 Crypto Exchanges on: December 05, 2019, 02:20:20 AM
In related news, the government of China has given favor to some exchanges that they might reckon would bow to them and banned the exchanges they do not want hehehe. What is the technical term for this?

Huobi China has joined a state-backed blockchain alliance envisioned to be one of the most influential infrastructure services providers in the country.

The Chinese branch of Huobi Group announced its membership in the Blockchain-Based Services Network (BSN) Development Alliance at its launch on Sunday in Hangzhou of Southern China, the company told CoinDesk.

Led by State Information Center (SIC), a think tank affiliated with the National Development and Research Commision, China’s highest central planning agency, the network is planning to offer infrastructure services for any Chinese or international entity that uses blockchain.

Tony Ferguson interview on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show
Talking about Khabib Nurmagomedov fight, and he says that he’s in Khabib’s head Smiley

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hcpr7FeBUk

I reckon that might be true hehehe. There was an interview in Russian on Khabib in his hometown in Dagestan where he said that he is more motivated to train versus Tony than his last 4 opponents. However, the effect might not what Tony wanted. Similar to what occured to Conor's trash talking, it only made Khabib stronger hehehe.

“I will train hard. With every fight, I gain more and more experience. I’m getting older, I am 31. I think it’s the peak age of [a] fighter’s career. Of course, I will train more for this fight because I got worthy opponent. He is very good and very dangerous opponent. And to be honest, I lacked this motivation for my last fights.Iaquinta,Conor,Barboza,Poirier.They’re not the same as Tony Ferguson. That’s why I feel that fire burning inside me again.”

5896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: December 04, 2019, 03:25:10 AM
@posi. I am not certain if this is true, however, there were some stories that said Anthony Joshua had a panic attack during training and he also did not want to fight on that night. He did not underestimate Andy Ruiz. He was not ready.

In any case, ring girls are part of boxing culture. If the princes of Saudi Arabia do not like it, I reckon boxing should stay where the whole culture is welcome.
5897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The Essential NFL Thread 🏈🏈 - new poll every week on: December 04, 2019, 02:49:03 AM
There are only 4 weeks of regular season games left, does everyone already have their candidates for their MVP hehehe? I reckon Russ Wilson might be leading and Lamar Jackson close on 2nd.

Where can we bet on this?
5898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 04, 2019, 02:20:57 AM

However, you should not bet against Kawhi and Paul George together in home court. I reckon wait for load management news hehehe. There might be one because they are playing the Bucks on the road after Portland.

If you have some kind of hatred for power teams then you might really want to bet against them.  Grin
One example is me betting against the Lakers team. I just really love being on the losing side and then a sudden win will happen.  Grin Bad habit of mine.

Clippers though is difficult to predict. They win against a high seed team and then lose against the low seed. One example is the Phoenix Suns.
Also, there are player absences that happens before the game starts, I don't really like that kind of method.
I don't want to be keeping up to date for every player just because they have a diarrhea.  Grin

I might go against the Clippers if they will give me a good advantage like a large addition to the score of the team they are against. (which mostly happens)

The Clippers have a good home record, however. If you want to bet against them, they should be playing as the favorite on the road with the bookies giving a good handicap for the underdog. +6 and above it hehehe.
5899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: December 03, 2019, 02:43:49 AM
@pbfarmer. Use it while you can, however we cannot trust it to maintain it once pressured by regulators.

@Hueristic. He is also not a troll hehehe.

Yeah he's not a troll. Lol

Also, what is lower scaling and what will it match?

Means the blockchain may scale with transactions better once privacy is achieved, IE less bloat.
We shall see once they address the issues they currently face.

Blockchains with better privacy will scale less. This was what occured on Monero on the introduction of RingCT. Blocks became heavier and it was the reason why Aeon did not activate the code and might also have removed it from the codebase. I will ask @smooth.
5900  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-24] Lightning Network User Reportedly Loses 4 Bitcoin: What Happened on: December 03, 2019, 02:17:36 AM
@hatshepsut93. However, was the stress worth it? I reckon, no.

This might be the first lesson that introducing postponed payments on bitcoin might open it to unsound transactions because of bugs and maybe also theft.
