^^ It was one sided fight for Arthur Beterbiev over Callum Smith, Smith though fight valiantly, but Beterbiev is too much for him that he wasn't able to take advantage of his height and reach against the shorter Beterbiev. And then he eat a lot of punches,

Quote
Beterbiev’s promoter, Bob Arum, indicated that a potential full unification bout between his charge and Dmitry Bivol, the WBA titlist, could materialize later this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Arum said there was strong interest in that matchup from Turki Alalsihkh, the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Entertainment, a body that oversees some of the oil-producing country’s most significant cultural events, including Riyadh Season.

https://www.boxingscene.com/bob-arum-optimistic-beterbiev-bivol-happen-expects-saudi-arabia-stage-it-summer--180730

So it's good to hear that Saudi is very interested to see the Bivol vs Beterbiev unification fight. And we all know that if this rich oil nation wanted it, definitely money is not going to be a problem as long as they can make the fight happen in their country in Riyadh Season. Most likely we will see this huge fight at 175 lbs.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong perspective towards Bitcoin investment on: January 15, 2024, 09:20:37 PM
The issue of getting rich quick isn't something that many adopters take seriously, as they've come to believe it is the only way to make a quick profit. It still saddens me to see that some adopters in our community have taken the wrong step towards Bitcoin investment.

I recently stumbled upon a guy few days back who happens to be a anti-bitcoinist. He showed his frustration and condemned Bitcoin in a way that got my attention. I was eager to know why someone would have hatred for a life changing opportunity like Bitcoin, so I had to ask.

What do you expect? he is anti-bitcoin and obviously he will attack it no matter how you explain that bitcoin is this and that.

From his reply, he said he came across a Bitcoin mining website that was shared via a YouTube video. The mining site mines Bitcoin in small quantities, which he decided to buy some mining power to accumulate faster. He successfully purchased one of the mining power worth $80, but the site eventually shut down a week later without allowing any withdrawals.

He is not the only one who fall for that kind of trick, but I do believed that those individuals learned their lessons in a very expensive way and still do continue to invest/trade BTC up to this day. I too during my early days fall for a bitcoin doubler scheme.

It was very clear to me that some ethusiast who promote Bitcoin don't talk about the risk part of it, while those who adopt Bitcoin on their own don't learn about the risk part of it.

There goes a saying that sometimes, it's better to experience it first in the beginning, so that you will learn and adapt and have a good mentality towards Bitcoin and not think of it as a get rich scheme.

I couldn't just leave him hanging with that mentality towards Bitcoin. I showed him some love by converting $10 worth of Bitcoin from my personal funds, sending it to him, and also sent him the BTT link so he can learn from a large Bitcoin community. I have done my part, and I repeat: there is no such thing as getting rich quick. I am glad he has joined the community, but wouldn't want to be mentioned.

Thanks for reading, and do well to share your opinion.

Well, do you part already, there's nothing more you can do. If the person doesn't want to change his views on Bitcoin, then so be it. It's their lose anyways, maybe when almost everyone is into Bitcoin, he might realized that he should have change his stance earlier.
523  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Exploring RITZ Sports Bet: The Future of Decentralized and Centralized Betting on: January 15, 2024, 11:09:47 AM
Hybrid sports betting house model. This model combines the trust and transparency of decentralized platforms with the efficiency and ease of use of centralized systems. How do you think this combination will impact the sports betting user experience? Will it increase trust and confidence, or are there potential challenges to be wary of?

Additionally, as blockchain and cryptocurrencies continue to disrupt multiple industries, what unique opportunities and challenges do you foresee for platforms like RITZ Sports Bet in navigating decentralized and centralized worlds?

Let's start a discussion about the potential of hybrid betting platforms in the crypto era. Share your insights, predictions and any questions

Not sure about the potential of hybrid platforms, for me it's either you go full blown centralized platforms, built from ground up and then slowly gain reputation just like the rest of the platforms that we have right now.

I remember that during the pandemic, there are a lot of sites that born out of necessities and it's all centralized platform, and in short amount of time, they are now established. So again, this is just my opinion. Just put a casinos with decentralized or centralized systems and not in between as it might back fire on you.
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 15, 2024, 10:41:34 AM
GIRL SITS AT CASINO SLOT MACHINE CHAIR TO PEE

Watching this "meme vid" or whatever made me curious enough to dig into this little rabbit hole where I see casino gamblers, particularly those who play slot, go bonkers and I mean like literal mental while playing slots. I mean most of them are depicted to even claw at the screen as if it's going to do anything.

I gotta say man, I know gambling for some people is bad but when they say it's bad I didn't think it'd be this worse lol. Oh well, all the more reasons to avoid the land-casinos I guess.

If I owned that particular Land base casino, I'm going to get her arrested and make sure she pay for damages and after that, I will them ban her from coming to my casino. I will then make a list of do and don't in my casino to avoid these kind of future reoccurrence of this stupid behavior. Look at her for Christ sake, that's an adult doing a childish behavior. How can you even urinate in public when you are not on drugs and conscious, these behavior will not only harm the company but it's a disgusting behavior that will chase away customers.

Usually that is the case for land base casinos, they are very tough in implementing their rules, and unless you are a big whale maybe you can get away. But if you are just a ordinary gambler, then the casinos can demand you to pay for damages that you have done and then ban you for life and not let you get closer to the casino itself.

You could tell that she wasn't even gambling, things like this isn't about gambling but bad behavior and bad manner. I don't gamble casino but other then outdoor activities that I see it as, I don't like it because I don't really like crowded environment, I will do all I want to do with my phone in my comfort zone and will not need to visit the place to avoid this kind of irk behaviors, my phone and my room is okay for me to do everything.

Others say that this could be clout or she is doing it intentionally. But in a society that we lived in, this is bad behavior that we shouldn't condone regardless if she is doing it to get views or what. We still need to act properly if we are in public places like those casinos. Good for you to play online, but I guess there are still gamblers here though that like to go to physical casinos like me.
525  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC ATH ~~~ on: January 14, 2024, 10:16:01 PM
We could all notice that archieved ATHs after a particular Halving surpasses their previous ATH and normally, the long overview chart for the whole BTC price movement is an uptrend..

But we can also notice that each time, the growth % in ATH since the previous one drops significantly. Which is kind of obvious but still worth noting, as there are still people out there hoping for x100 or more in the net cycle just because it happened in the past.
The 2017 ATH was a whooping 1,710% higher than the 2013 top, but 2021 one was "only" 346% higher than 2017 ATH. That's x5 drop.
A x5 drop to the previous 346% means a 69% increase, so around $116k.

True, it's because Bitcoin is deflationary as well that's why the drop of percentage in every 4 year cycle. And thanks to your math, and that's where the price is around as the majority is predicting $100,000 conservative estimates.

And for those who think this is bad think again, you can still make huge profits if you just go and buy during the dip and HODL for a long time. And that's why many of us here became millionaires, that kind of mindset to look long term and not just sell because we panic.

So a new all time high could start at 6 digits and then everything goes as where the price will be in 2025.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith January 13 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: January 14, 2024, 09:46:20 PM
Beterbiev continues to destroy every opponent that steps into the ring with him. Age and inactivity didn't matter much because he is still a beast. Smith showed some improvement from when he fought Canelo but he is still incapable of using his size to his advantage. He could've been more successful by boxing from a distance.

He fought the fight that Beterbiev wanted, he goes toe to toe with the champion and even if he hit Beterbiev with that left hook of his, it didn't put any effect on Beterbiev and he just keeps on coming and the accumulation of damages to Callum was too much.

With this mandatory out of the way, it is time to make the undisputed fight against Bivol. It will be an interesting clash of styles. Bivol is a much more skillful fighter whose style might frustrate Beterbiev but he lacks the power to keep Beterbiev from coming forward. Every time Beterbiev lands he does damage, he can even hurt you with a jab. For Bivol it will be difficult to avoid that freight train coming towards him for twelve rounds.

Yep, it's time for both of them to face for the undisputed, there have been talks for this to happen already and now that Canelo doesn't want a rematch with Bivol, the only fight that make sense for him is to fight Beterbiev. Maybe the volume might keep Beterbiev from coming forward, but for sure this is a great fight. Perhaps we can compare it to Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito wherein Margarito was a come forward fighter and then Cotto defending himself by picking up shots. Bivol should need to make this fight in the middle to give him more room to throw his punches.

529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 11, 2024, 09:51:25 AM
Dont think that Ngannou would ever return to UFC. UFC rarely pay a million to a fighter (but fighters get more than a million if we calculate payment+ppv sales+victory bonus+sponsors). Here, from the start he got 10 times more he was earning in UFC. Now, as he has a place in board in PFL, media, fame, he dont really need to fight in mma to earn the same amount he earned in UFC.

This is a sign that he will not return anymore, his performance against Fury that created some controversy as some believe that Fury did not win had already made Ngannou an instant celebrity in boxing. So for sure he will stay here, he might not dominate but in terms of paycheck, he is making like a boxing superstar is making, at an entry level.

And even if Francis decided to retire after his Fury and then Joshua fight, he will still have a lot of money in this pocket. Or if there is a good offer for him in the PFL and not in UFC under Dana, because of their personal beef, he can still make a lot of money.

For now, we should be looking for this fight though, I guess majority will agree that Francis based on his performance against Fury and if he improves, definitely Joshua is not going to be assured of a win here and maybe we will look and see upset as Francis power is scary and if landed of Joshua's chin which is weak, Ngannou will win by a impressive knockout.
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: January 11, 2024, 06:22:43 AM
Sometimes people are always addicted to playing gambling online and this has made them loss alot of funds, due to always topping up theire casino account with there debit card when they loose. and this usually makes them exhaust all there funds.

While those people playing offline in casino halls play with only the little money they have at hand, and that will reduce the risk of over spending. So now my question is this

Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?
Both offline and online gambling are risky. If a person gets addicted to online gambling then he will recharge money from his credit card and participate in one gambling game after another. On the other hand, if you become addicted to offline gambling, you will gamble even if you run out of cash, even if you are in debt. So I can say both offline and online are risky in this case. Offline online gambling is no less risky. If you can control yourself while gambling, you will feel less vulnerable both offline and online.

Yes, both is very risky, before though, for those who have been playing, offline or traditional base is the thing. And that's why we have seen a boom in this industry, billion dollar business and majority of countries have at least one big casinos being operated by the government or someone outside like the Wynn and other big casino operators.

But things have change, now they have competitor like online games. And more and more people started to become addict because it's a easy access to everyone. You just need a phone and internet and then play at your home without going out. As for who's more safer in terms of security? It's obvious that online, but there are advantages too when we go out and play traditional based casinos as you socialized with other gamblers.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 11, 2024, 02:32:18 AM
Ain't that too soon for him? I bet Inoue wants to keep on fighting and cement his legacy in boxing but I think his team should be smarter when they accept contracts. I understand that he's still young and at his peak but they should be looking after their fighter's longevity too. Maybe take a a page from Mayweather's book on how he negotiates and leverage his position.

He wasn't damage on his last couple of fights, he beat Donaire in 2 rounds, same with Fulton and Tapales, it didn't last the full 12 rounds. He might have been hit combine in those 3 fights by just 10% or even less power shots from those fighters.

So he is still fresh and for sure the Japanese body will not allow him if they see that Inoue is not fit to fight in May. Just like during the prime years of Canelo where he fight at least 3x in a given 12 months run. Not sure if we can compare him against Mayweather as Floyd carefully picks the fight he wants.

Yeah, he finish most of his fights in the early rounds, so he wasn't relaly challenge to his limit yet. Honestly, I feel that we will see a similar outcome on his previous fight in this particular fight as I don't see Nery a real good fighter that is on the level of Inoue. This will be this coming May, hopefully Inoue will also consider fighting Casimero before this year ends.

My prediction here is KO, as to the question if it's early or late rounds, that depends on how aggressive Nery is, the more aggressive he is, the riskier he will take.

True, as we have followed Inoue's career after winning the WBSS tournament, he always destroys his opponent regardless of whether they have a puncher's chance against him like Donaire, who has one of the most wicked left hook during his prime.

Or a slick American in Fulton, so he has face a lot of styles before and he always comes on top and beating them in fashion, with a devastating knockout. So just like you, I'm also seeing a KO win for the Monster specially if Nery chooses to be aggressive.

When his opponent are in the ring, you can tell that they cannot take the hard punches of Inoue since their style suddenly change, from being an aggressive fighter to a defensive one. And as usual, instead of seeing a toe to toe fight, it will only look like Inoue's opponent only came to survive.

So we can understand the frustration of the fans, they want a fighter that could potentially give Inoue's problem, like matching his skills.

IMO, Casimero had proven it already when he beat Tete when he was a heavy underdog.

But that was years ago and we haven't seen that kind of Casimero when he went to 122 lbs and his first 2 fights are not that impressive to us fans and maybe this is the reason why the camp of Inoue is not seriously taking him into consideration as Inoue's next fight, he is the 3rd choice by the way. And to make his name in the discussion, Casimero needs a impressive win like a knockout in his next fight.

As for this fight, we haven't seen a fighter that can really match against this version of Inoue.

He is too good that I think he can clean up this division easy and can knockout everyone if he wanted to.
532  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the btc price reach 100k ? on: January 11, 2024, 01:45:15 AM
it is still very difficult for the price of bitcoin to touch the price of 100k dollars. even though this year entered the year of halving. if the price is getting higher, people will rarely use it for transactions because sending fees will also be more expensive. the dilemma of the crypto currency world is like this, the higher the price, the more people use it but the more it decreases because the sending fee is getting more expensive.

If you have experienced 1 or 2 bull seasons before, you will know that the bull season does not come immediately when the halving takes place, but it only comes after a period of time after the halving (usually 1 year after the halving). Then you wouldn't rush to expect bitcoin to hit $100K or reach a new ATH this year.

It might take weeks or months before the actual bull run is going to happen after the halving. But still we will have that feel that something is going to happen this year after the halving, we might break our last all time high of $69,000 this year but it doesn't mean that the bull run will stop. It might continue up to 2025 wherein as majority is expecting, a $100,000 is waiting for us.

Regarding the issue of transaction fees becoming expensive, it only happens with bitcoin and some other coins and not the entire cryptocurrency market. Many altcoins like solana or bnb still have quite cheap transaction fees. In addition, we have a solution to the high fee problem of bitcoin such as using the Lightning Network, or layer 2 for ETH.

As far as Bitcoin goes, we all know that is the reason, it's that the ordinals are spamming the network. Because prior to the exploit, we are transacting like in the lower 1 sat/vB and everything went well. But when a developer has found a exploit on the Bitcoin code and then created this ordinals to clogged the network, that's where the problem started and I don't think that they are going to stop.
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think women will make better gamblers by their nature? on: January 11, 2024, 01:12:27 AM
Women by nature are more conservative than men. They are better manager of resources and know how to prioritise things. This is what is needed for successful gambling because with it, the chances of using funds meant for basic needs in gambling will be minimised.

So do you think women will make better gamblers than men?

By nature, women are risk averse, they have this in built in their DNA, they prefer to avoid or minimize exposure to risk. So I don't think that they will be successful gamblers if they don't want to take that risk and instead be as conservative as they can.

We've heard a lot of stories that there are gamblers who hit big with their last money on the line, do you think women will do that when they know that they are already down and then thinking of minimizing their losses? And then you have to understand first why women are into gambling in the first place to know how they are going to take that risk/reward ratio.
534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 10, 2024, 09:11:50 AM
The point is my husband doesn't know that i have been secretly gambling and involving myself with gambling discussions and the rest, So, this morning when i woke something in me keeps telling me i should let him know to understand my involvement  to practice gambling.

Does this worth telling him or not please i need you collective ideas.

Just weird though on how you can keep this secret to your husband, or anyone here who live a double life. Not saying that it is bad, but you have to ask yourself, what if you husband find it out? What do you think is his reaction? Do you think that he will understand you hiding behind you gambling? Again, maybe want you list is just an excuse for you to continue to gamble as for sure we have gone to that kind of experience before and we told that we have control our gambling but the truth is, it's very hard.

In any case, just to be open with him, I will rather tell him straight in the face and see what will be the reaction. And hopefully there is no violent reaction whatsoever and maybe the next best thing he will do is to request that you stop gambling.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Long-term profitable strategies on: January 10, 2024, 08:54:30 AM
Let's discuss long-term profitable gambling strategies, as well as the elements of such strategies. It is not even necessary to back it up with winning statistics (although no one will mind). It is enough to write that “I think that this strategy is profitable in such and such a game or in such and such a form of gambling.”
Elements of profitable strategies are also quite interesting for discussion. I know that for long-term profitability, risk management is of course much more important. However, what is equally important is what leads to profit in addition to risk management.
If your profitable strategy is of a proprietary nature, if it is secret and you do not want to write about it, then you can limit yourself to general reasoning. I think that this discussion will be useful for everyone and perhaps it will prompt some of their own promising ideas.

It's either a hit or miss, simply as that as there are no profitable strategies for the long term. It's always gonna be short term successes in gambling. And with that, a winning strategy today is not an assurance that it will work on the same day. But I do agree that you need to have some kind of risk management, at least to minimized your losses when your strategy is not working as it should be (or as designed by you).

Maybe someone can share their profitable strategy and not gate keep it, but then again, there is no guarantee. So for me just play whatever strategy or method you like but you should think that if it is not working then either stop or change it.
536  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC ATH ~~~ on: January 09, 2024, 09:38:48 PM
We could all notice that archieved ATHs after a particular Halving surpasses their previous ATH and normally, the long overview chart for the whole BTC price movement is an uptrend..

My question
This Pattern, will it forever return true for every Halving or there could be a possibility of the New ATH not surpassing the successive previous ATH.

Well if the pattern holds true, then we can say that it will be always like that? Remember that every 4 years we have this halving and this is the catalyst. So for me this will continue and I don't think that it's going to break unless there is a drastic change in Bitcoin economy.

So 2024-2025 will still be a bull run, it's just a question on what will be our new all time high.

Prediction is that it will be in 6 digits. And as high as $180,000 - $220,000, but we will have to see. So exciting times ahead for being a Bitcoin enthusiast as this is what we all have been waiting for, block halving - > bull run - ? new all time high.
537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale betting system on: January 09, 2024, 09:11:59 PM
I like this way. but defeat is still defeat. whatever strategy we usually lose in gambling is a losing streak that is not good to continue. If we win, it's usually a streak. I think we have to know when to stop when we lose, don't let the profit or capital run out because we know that we have lost several times and are still continuing. so does victory. take a reasonable win so that we can enjoy the win without returning to the gambling site.

Who wouldn't like it? The thing is that any strategy in gambling is going or not or not at all. And also don't forget to add the element of luck in this strategy and the bankroll as well. If you are lucky then you can have that streak and maybe not used this strategy anymore.

But if you are unlucky then you might want to try this out, but as I have said, bankroll is the key because of you don't have big money, then you can't recover and recoup as this is the main purpose of this strategy, get back and win all what you have lost by doubling every time.
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Three basic fact you would love to know about bitcoin on: January 09, 2024, 08:46:26 PM
BTC is also more stable and has more value than other cryptos, because it is the first among others and has a rather steadier market value of which competes with dollar and gold currently in the market of foreign exchange.
Bitcoin has more value than other cryptocurrencies because it offers for value. It's decentralized and secure, two features you will not find on almost all altcoins.

Bitcoin is not competing with either dollar or gold.

Yeah, it's the first and what we call prime mover, and it's a bit controversial to say the least, as the founder and creator disappeared and so early adopters either become curious or just sold their Bitcoins because they don't believed at it anymore since Satoshi is gone.

It's not competing with gold, but they are being compared as Bitcoin is being called "digital gold".

And as the title suggest, it's basic facts and I think majority here is already familiar with what the OP has posted.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 09, 2024, 12:57:26 PM
Another weird thing is that he will put everything on the line here? I thought that Nery is only mandatory for his WBC belt. But it seems that other governing bodies as well has given the go signal in this fight to have their belts also put in the line.

Nevertheless, we haven't seen anyone had the blue print to beat Inoue, not even the best 3 fighters in this division, including Casimero and Akhmadaliev. And so I don't see Nery pulling a upset and again, this fight might not get over 10 rounds. I'm seeing the over and under at 7.5 rounds. ML? Nah, it's not going to be appealing to us, could be per rounds but it's going to be hard to predict which round is Nery going to be knockout or stop by Inoue.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith January 13 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: January 09, 2024, 10:18:35 AM
I do agree but it's boxing politics that really prevented us seeing big names like Bivol vs Beterbiev. Callum Smith might be a decent fighter, but he could still be the next victim of Beterbiev's power. But in any case, if this is a cherry pick fight, then so be it. However, if he wins here, I do hope that Top Rank will have to schedule their man Beterbiev vs Bivol.

There's no way that they can avoid each other, they are the only 2 champions in this division. And with the way fighters are reaching in this generation, they are going at a unification like Inoue, Crawford and Canelo at 168 lbs.

It's not just boxing politics but also global politics. The WBC banned Russian athletes from competing for their title. They have stated that Bivol is not eligible to fight for their belt, although for some reason Beterbiev is still allowed. Other sanctioning organizations have implemented a similarly stupid rule. https://www.badlefthook.com/2022/3/1/22956803/wbc-wbo-ibf-refuse-certify-title-fights-russian-belarusian-fighters-boxing-news-2022

Now that Saudia Arabia seems willing to offer a lot of money to make it happen, perhaps the organizations will do what's best for the sport even if they do it for entirely selfish reasons.

And with that, maybe we can say that it's good that Saudi Arabia has entered the picture in the last couple of years and hosting fights early on and then they going bolder and bolder with that big money they have.

Governing bodies have no choice then, and who will deny if the oil money is going to roll into our direction. It used to be football with billions of sponsorship and player options. Now they turn into boxing so it's good for us in the next couple of years and maybe fights that we thought can't be made can easily be deal with their money in between.
