521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need more influencial women in crypto to help the gender embrace it? on: February 07, 2024, 04:51:36 AM
Whether there are more female crypto personalities are out there, what is important is most of us have the same goal on this community and that is to thrive and be all successful by investing on it. I think there's an edge for the female crypto personalities since this is likely a male-dominated market. There could be simp or what not but that's not the whole point of it when a truly influential female comes to defend the community and knows how-to on this market.

So, gender isn't something serious.
I agree, it doesn't really matter at all and it seems that all of us here, both genders are just equal. Anyway, you've got a great sig mate.
522  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best cryto exchange? on: February 06, 2024, 11:43:24 PM
People who said Binance is the best should read this thread XMR Zcash and other private coins are getting delisted from binance.
They're trying to get their hands off XMR because of for sure mandate of the government and they're just following. And as for most people that are saying Binance is the best, can't stop them from telling that if they have a good experience on it. They're not also obliged to trade XMR and what other features they enjoy there is like being on the launchpool that gives them more money upon projects that have become successful with their launching. So, its' a personal decision to say whether Binance is the best and it's out of their control if Binance delists privacy coins because it's common since the government have stomped against these type of cryptos.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who says Tesla initiated last bull run is wrong on: February 06, 2024, 10:42:42 PM
Well, it's about on how they see the influence of the company and Elon himself. So if Tesla is still holding a lot of Bitcoins and that makes someone have his confidence over holding Bitcoin then we can't blame him for doing that. If that's the capacity of his research and don't understand the common things about Bitcoin like the halving that has happened and impact that it has brought to the market, that person needs to do his/her own research before having a conclusion on whoever started the bull run. Maybe initiated it in a manner that have attracted retail investors and have seen the impact of what they do but that's just it. And in the long run, it's the actual effect of the halving and usual supply and demand.
524  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DO NOT plug random cables and sticks into your device. on: February 06, 2024, 09:32:45 PM
It's just best to plug those cables that you know and you've bought from a legit store and brand you trust. And as for going outside, just don't connect with any public wifi because you'll never know on which of them is the one that's just waiting for someone to connect through it and then on the other side, is the connection that has been setup by the hacker. I know about flipper zero and I see folks that have been flaunting it to the public, I don't know if they have good or ill intentions or they just want to test but as usual, it's always best to just take care of ourselves wherever we go.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: February 06, 2024, 08:05:34 PM
Congratulations, this is like hearing it for the first time with online bets although this did happened to me long time ago, like more than a decade ago. Yeah, I was still young by that time and such amounts have been big already to me so that's a risky move to me knowing that my money was just a few savings. On your end, you've got a source of income so if you consider this as your highest risk that you've taken. Then, I'd like to congratulate you again for being brave by doing that. I wouldn't do that if someone's going to offer it to me but most of us might deal with this again if we're in a circle of gamblers. At least with that, you know who you are dealing with and if you encounter some strangers ask you to buy their bets, don't do it if you don't know them.
WOW. This tells me that you have also taken such a huge risk before, that means I am not alone on the game Grin.
Please will appreciate if you share with me little  Wink, this is what I am saying, as long as there is gambe, there are people who are always there to take the risks.
It's like having it on a local betting shop long time ago and people have to wait for the time of the game to come. And before that comes, there has to be filled with the local card games for that match and I think that this is very popular back then. So while the game hasn't commenced yet, everyone has to wait for the game to come and you can either keep and wait or sell it someone when you need the money. That's why it's like having it for the first time again but this time, it's online just as how you've experienced. As long as you're good to take that risk, that's not a problem when you are the one taking it and you're not bothering other people.

527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you spent $500-$1000 on bitcoin in 2009-2010 on: February 05, 2024, 06:43:36 PM
We always make speculations and try to assume things in the past. One thing is for sure that it can't be changed and there's no rewind but it does makes sense if a big entity does have that money and tried to buy most of these bitcoins earlier. But most of the new things in the past won't make people pull out their pockets easily. Realizing on what Bitcoin gone through all of these years is just amazing to think of. All of these situational posts and threads that have been made, I know that we have to embrace the reality and all of these threads are just for the sake of discussions but we just move on and look at the current side of it.
The purpose of these topics is for discussion but after discussion what benefit will it bring us? I don't understand why people like to live in illusion, dreaming about things that cannot be changed and cannot happen? Why doesn't OP ask what will happen if he invests $1000 in bitcoin now and what will happen in 10 years? Wouldn't that be more interesting and more realistic?
That's okay, it's always like this that people think of what if all of us have bought Bitcoin in the past and we've been holding a lot of it. Yes, there's no true benefit with these discussions and it's just all about the thoughts of what if on those times. But we have to embrace the reality and actuality of it that those moments have already passed and we can't do anything about it so, we have to move on and correct the mistakes that we did in the past.

Bull season is approaching, bitcoin is becoming increasingly scarce because of increasing demand. Many people are focusing on accumulating bitcoin while many are still here regretting the past and doing nothing to correct that mistake. This is a waste of time.
And don't forget that the total Bitcoins that have been mined is now 19.6M where the total supply limit is 21M.
528  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 04-Feb-24] on: February 05, 2024, 04:27:36 PM
Bets signature campaign is currently on pause.

Unfortunately, the team asked me to pause the campaign for now.

BullBear has paid its first week but it's likely that it's the last week of this campaign but still can be moved now to CFNP from PNYC.

Week#1 payment has been paid[..]

There's a chance that this will be the last week.

Metawin has two slots, 1 for legendary and 1 for senior member.

We have 1x Legendary and 1x Sr Member slot open.

Well, it's now full.

Accepted.

530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies be aware, don't fall into the trap of getting high ROI in Bull Market on: February 04, 2024, 09:16:45 PM
There are too many of these and they're unstoppable because these social medias where they're spreading can't filter them. And whether we're on a bull season or bear, they were never gone.
Many of their victims are the ones that don't really have an idea on what crypto these and they take advantage of that once they have understood that their potential victim doesn't know anything.
531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can't Find The Seed Phrase of My Atomic Wallet on: February 04, 2024, 05:28:40 PM
It's nice to see that you've recovered that wallet of yours, now that it is on your possession again. What I'd like to tell is that you better not sell these old wallets of yours. I know that they're quite used and you just want to make money out of it and you can forget about it forever. I'm not sure if there's a trick from these people or just really trying to sweep these wallets if ever they could get some of these airdrops or free tokens that they can. If you've some other transactions there then the buyer will know your old addresses. Just saying for no reason that you shouldn't sell it.
532  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will government recognition kill cryptocurrency or boost! on: February 04, 2024, 02:44:05 PM
Bitcoin or other digital currencies have a rebellious image because they are outside of government control.
It is a yes if we're going to say that it was before but this time? Not anymore, this era is different where most of the governments have already accepted that Bitcoin is accepted and it doesn't hold the taboo anymore about having that bad image and a currency for illegal trades or underground markets.

But when it comes under government regulatory agency, Bitcoin will no longer have that rebellious image. And will be counted as one of the ten institutional investment sector.
These governments do understand their stand about Bitcoin. They will never have a way to control it but they know that they can regulate the companies and exchanges that operates and accepts it. We've seen it dozen of times where they've pressured a lot of them. But still, no matter how and what kind of pressure they do, they'll never be able to control bitcoin. It's possible to regulate trades of it but they can't stop and control itself.
533  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Financial advise from a self acclaimed crypto investment professional. on: February 03, 2024, 11:17:24 PM
And that's why it is the logic of many investors nowadays. They think that the top crypto are no longer viable and they've missed the train already. Well, that's their way of thinking on how to invest in the market but they shouldn't misdirect their followers with their own thinking. And always add some disclaimer that it is their way of investing. It is generalization from their perspective which passed on the readers and thinking that she's the only right crypto influencer and investor. LOL.
534  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What's good with Blockchain.com? on: February 03, 2024, 09:57:21 PM
@OP, since you're done using them. It's better that you should stop using them as you can see, many agrees that this wallet isn't a recommended wallet to use. I, even used it before when I was still new but after experiencing some troubles on my last days of using it, that's already enough for me to stop it. Aside from the possible upgrades that they might do in the future, if you're not going to use them quite often then you might missed those updates like before about the mnemonic phrases they've given and they don't consider the old ones that used them to restore through those short/long words that was distributed before. And that's why if you're into Bitcoin use wallets like electrum, samourai and bluewallet for mobile.
535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: VanEck, GrayScale, Fidelity and others Now on Google Ads. on: February 03, 2024, 12:36:36 PM
It's timely that Google just allowed it or did they allowed that long time ago? Well, sometimes google is impressive but at most times that it isn't and that's due to the many scams that are on it and these sponsored ads that are popping at the top searches could even allow a phishing site to get advertised. So, this time it is not just the crypto wallets and exchanges that these bad people will target but also these investors that are interested into BTC spot ETFs.
536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] USB Malware that targets crypto wallets on: February 03, 2024, 10:12:12 AM
I would never trust that type of file extension. But sadly, despite that many are aware of this simple reminder about not downloading files that are uncommon and unknown. We are not their target and there's always the newbie out there that's not aware of this type of malware that targets USBs and downloads.

As I mentioned, it was like a sort of gift, there are enterprise people who received a box with this USB stick and so they thought that it is safe as hackers are really good at hiding their intentions. Maybe they call it a gift so receiver will not get a hint that there is malware inside.
They're going too far with this type of spread. While many are starting to be aware of them and avoids downloading unnecessary files, they're trying to do this trick making them look like they're like santa sending gifts.
537  Economy / Economics / Re: Quitting Smoking Has Two Big Benefits. on: February 03, 2024, 06:40:37 AM
That gives you financial help and at the same time your health is being regained. It's always a topic to my circle that whenever they quit smoking, they can spend the money that they save from there into other meaningful things like investing into this market mainly in Bitcoin. I have no update about them and I don't smoke at all and neither take alcoholic beverages. Those that are struggling to get out of smoking, you'll have to think of many things that shall benefit you upon quitting. We're not also growing younger and our health deteriorates over time if we'll not take care about it. So you take care of your body as well as your pocket.  Cheesy
538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 📢 ₿ Bitcoin will replace Dollar? Even celeb venture capitalists are saying this on: February 02, 2024, 11:35:45 PM
He's one with us and known to be bullish on Bitcoin long time ago. I think that it's better to say that it is the financial institutions that are now into Bitcoin and not the government. Because with the "shift" as he said about the US government into Bitcoin, they're just like going on to a thing that they have no full control of it and if they did, they shouldn't sold the Bitcoins that they've seized. Bitcoin as a reserve for the government? I don't think that will happen but there's a slight chance that it will. Whilst for the financial institutions, we've got the Bitcoin Spot ETF and it's being followed by one and the other institutions. But only time can tell on what can actually happen in the nearest future.
539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Social media is a breeding ground for scamers, be intelligent while you explore on: February 02, 2024, 09:11:52 PM
That's right, not everything that you see on social media should be followed. Like just now, you see a lot of posts in social media that they're following the herd of those airdrops that are profitable. Many are misleading a lot of people that they should follow them for the others to have some profitable airdrops find out too. But little did they know, they're only there to attract more of the users to join their groups and shill more projects to them. No one is sure with any project that's being told on what they should follow, not just to invest but also too check out for airdrops. With that, everyone has to be careful on whom they follow and what groups they're joining. Sometimes, many of them are just hitting these projects with luck.
Because I was disappointed with the bounties I participated in at the start of my forum journey, I ignored the airdrop. It's up to how much someone can earn via airdrop, but I'll never be interested (especially those shared on social media).
While many have really made money on them but many of us do ignored them and we don't regret that.

Social media is a paradise for scammer, not only X (Twitter), Telegram is the same, even several Facebook groups are the same. So far, many people are aiming for easy money by scammed other people and don't care who the victim is, it's cruel, but that's the way the world is today. That's why we all need to be careful and don't be tempted by the lure of a few dollars from an airdrop. I know some airdrop are still profitable, but not all of them are the same.
Yeah, just count that all of them can be used to scamming and even the likes of Instagram and any messaging apps. Most of them are becoming the haven of scammers. And these scammers are targeting those people that are wanting to get into rich quick schemes. If they learn from their mistakes and experiences then they'll benefit. But if not and they keep on looking for those scam investments then someday they'll learn the most expensive lesson that they'll ever have.
540  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Beware of Crypto.com (difficulties cancelling debit card) on: February 02, 2024, 07:03:58 PM
Terrible support and customer experience, a kind of disappointing approach through their own bot. This shouldn't be like that when you've been passed on by several of their customer support agents. The better approach if they truly want to help you out and don't want to cause you that much stress is to put you on a ticket to have that case recorded and have it on an audit trail. With that, every new agent that will handle your concern will just have to go through the history of that report and they won't give you the same useless advises and won't ask the same details. Giving a ticket # that will just have to go through the system and have this concern of yours expediting the process. If nothing happens and the response will be the same, they just want you to keep it while being disappointed with their service.
