521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 12, 2023, 11:17:11 AM
Some folks out there, they actually act like that – they distance themselves when they strike it big. It's just the way things are in the world we live in; we can't control how people will change based on their circumstances. Typically, wealthy folks tend to stick with other wealthy folks because they think it guards against being taken advantage of.

Perhaps the winner believed that having a lot of money would earn him lots of friends, maybe even some relatives wanting a piece of the pie. People might label him as selfish, but that's just how it goes – people change, and that's the one thing you can count on in this world.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: October 12, 2023, 10:47:59 AM
I'm tuning in right now, and I believe the main event is up next. I missed the undercard, but it seems there's a Filipino winner. I'll have to find out the name later, I guess. But for now, I'm really looking forward to the upcoming match.

Speaking of streaming, there are plenty of free streams on Facebook, so you all can tune in there now.

GOOD LUCK KABAYAN CASIMERO!
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe? on: October 11, 2023, 09:51:21 PM
With the recent events in the crypto space, it is ideal to express fears about safety. However, some platforms have really considered how paramount safety is by bringing in frameworks to enhance security. Just recently, CEXs like Bitget forged a partnership with security frameworks like COBO to make for security breaches.
They have to make sure that their offer the best platform with the best security because investors will look into that although there are CEXs that are still vulnerable to hackers.
There's no safe place online, you have to make sure that you use every security feature available just to protect your own account, hard wallet seems to be the most safest wallet but of course it can still be hack and it will depend on how you protect your seed with that wallet.
Yes and whatever they did, they are still vulnerable to hacking. Sometimes there is an inside job that is pretty easy for them to do that. That is why it was advisable to just deposit the amount that we use to trade, not to use it as our storage wallet. It is best to be aware and be able to anticipate that kind of scenario as we don't need to wait to have that experience before we make a move.
Well, no wallet that can assure 100% safety assurance but it would more safer if we did not expose our wallet address.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 11, 2023, 09:26:52 PM
Holding is quite a big challenge for everyone and most of us can feel tired of waiting. It was easy to say I could manage to hold but later, they gave up. if we keep looking at the market chart and see the price of Bitcoin that only leads to some desperations a reason why I didn't. I can't say I was a long-term holder but sometimes I feel got tired as well and sell some of my crypto. It could be a reason why many people tried to become a trader instead of being a holder as they believe that doing this can generate more profit rather than holding.
525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 11, 2023, 02:40:03 AM
Meanwhile per PBA.ph in less than three days we will have a game so the opening might be on Friday.

Was that the season's kickoff, perhaps during the preseason? I recently read some news about Brownlee departing for the USA on vacation, with plans to return once the PBA resumes. This has left me a bit confused about whether that day truly signifies the official beginning of the new season.
526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 11, 2023, 01:57:37 AM
They just released pay-per-view price for Fury vs Ngannou and you can watch it for $79.99 on ESPN+ and other pay-per-view providers.
Some people complain price is high, but this is similar what people usually pay for some UFC events, so it is not bad, but I am sure there will be other ways to watch this fight live or as recording later.
I am setting my reminder in calendar for October 28. 🥊

I think odds are dropping on Fury:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/international-matchups/fury-tyson-v-ngannou-francis-64ad95be3c9b7eafa4377281

That price might sound pretty high to some individuals, but it's not really meant for everyone, especially in places where illegal streaming is more common. If you're in the US, the EU, or other developed countries, the cost might not seem so bad. And when you've got a really exciting showdown between fighters, it kinda justifies the price, you know? It's like when Mayweather fought McGregor, and the PPV was almost a hundred bucks, but did individuals really gripe about that?
527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Don't be afraid of buying Bitcoin on: October 10, 2023, 09:54:30 PM
Newbies must understand the reason why people are buying and why they are holding a lot of Bitcoin for many years if they don't think and believe that it will rise.

However, having that mindset depends on how we trust Bitcoin. Of course, I don't force newbies to invest in Bitcoin if deep inside they are uncertain because the more chances that they will sell them when the market dumps. We say that Bitcoin is for everyone but only a few have the guts to take risks while some are afraid and think negatively. After all, it is our individual decision, not from anyone.

528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]Adrien Broner vs Chris Howard (Welterweight) Nov 4. . on: October 10, 2023, 10:51:33 AM
Pacman didn't do much damage to him but Maidana humiliate Broner more which I thought he'd actually stop fighting after that fight. Broner considerably has a good record though despite his showboating that end up badly.

He is fighting an unknown boxer. I tried watching Chris on youtube he seem a slugger. A perect pair for Broner.

Absolutely, it was a defining moment in his career when Maidana defeated him. Broner seemed overly confident as he entered the ring, underestimating Maidana, who had already given Mayweather a run for his money in their first encounter (which was a controversial fight).

As a boxing fan, no one will really forget how Maidana beat and dominated Broner back then. It was one of the worst beating for that year and Broner was never the same after that. But he is still arrogant and boastful after that and seemingly can't accept that he was defeated. And he was supposedly the next Mayweather, AB (About Billions)  Grin was his monicker. But after his defeat, his relationship with Floyd went sour and he was out from TMT (Team Money Train) of Floyd. Not only his boxing career went down, if I'm not mistaken he also has some sexual battery case and has been arrested.

His actions were quite reckless; he spent a substantial amount of money on partying, and there are even suspicions of drug use. Moreover, he's involved in a legal case that demands significant financial resources. It's possible that this is why he's continuing his career in boxing. Regarding his legal situation, since he hasn't been incarcerated yet, it's conceivable that he's had to shell out a substantial sum of money, leaving him in a precarious financial state. Quite a precarious situation indeed!

As for Broner, he's still in the fight game, but it's evident that he's approaching the twilight of his career. Nevertheless, watching him in action is always entertaining. Broner's not just a fighter; he's quite the showman, especially during face-offs. He's known for his trash talk, and that adds another layer of excitement to the whole spectacle. Let's tune in and enjoy the drama!

He is already on the twilight of his career, he is no longer in his prime although he is very lucky that he still has been given this kind of fights, specially he got a big paycheck on the Manny Pacquiao sweepstakes that time. And even if he wins here against a no name fighter, it won't resurrect his career anymore. And just like any other aging boxers, they are just fighting for the paycheck and try to squeeze as much as they can before they retire.

He definitely needs a strong promoter right now. Even without one, as long as he continues to compete, there's still a chance for him to earn some income. Let's hope he finds the support he needs in that regard.

530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The fear of investment on: October 09, 2023, 09:41:48 PM
In order to avoid scams, we have to know more about the crypto market as well. Fear comes from a lack of knowledge and trust. We normally hear FUDs, market issues, exchange issues, and wallet hacks and feel uncertain. That is why before we invest in Bitcoin in Bitcoin we are also aware of the possible risk here at least, we never get caught to surprise when it comes. But honestly, if we have knowledge about what we are doing, I don't think crypto investment is too risky because we probably know what things needed to secure our funds.
531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading can ruin you on: October 09, 2023, 01:15:28 PM
Literally it ruined my peace of mind, many times I was really bothered of several situations like the old coins I had with zero value these days. I was wondering that bull run could take place once again, but it's kinda dream for now. Let's just keep it an inspiration, hopefully in perfect time we'll be able to survive this very rough situation that we've gone through.
We will be able to survive then if we never give up and lose our faith.
Many traders have quit as they didn't understand the market situation and it is a trader's behavior that stops us from achieving our goals. A reason why trading should be taken seriously and it needs focus and time. Trading could ruin us if we let it happen but if we are able to control our emotions and stick to our plan, nothing to worry about. We can't be great all the time nor we are profitable but we can do it well and become profitable if work hard.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: October 09, 2023, 01:01:26 PM

And who knows, maybe Inoue will be watching this fight closely. If Casimero comes out as the winner, it'll be interesting to see what he says when he sees Inoue. Casimero has been taunting Inoue on his social media platforms, so maybe this is the moment he challenges Inoue face to face. We'll just have to wait for Inoue's response, and that might push him to fight Casimero.

That could be a bit of a trap because I'm sure Casimero's camp has already considered that possibility. When a champion says 'yes,' he's expected to honor his word, so if Inoue is in the venue, the fight will probably happen soon. I'm not ruling out Oguni's chances, but he did kind of come out of nowhere, which was a surprise. What we really want to see is Casimero taking on the best, and that's Inoue.

Not sure if this could be a trap though, Casimero is battle tested already to the point of going to the backyard of the champion and beat him. So I doubt that he will be affected even if Inoue is watching closely the fight. On the other hand, he might have like that idea so that he can show the Monster his power. And maybe after he beat Oguni, he will call up Inoue for a fight and we will see what will be the reaction of Inoue, so it will be good for him to see and have Inoue watch his fight. And it could also mean that Naoya is interested to fight him in the future. And with this chance that Casimero is fighting another Japanese, Naoya will have a good look as how Casimero and gauge his power.

What I'm saying is I've got a feeling Inoue might get caught in a bit of a bind here. After the fight, when Casimero gets interviewed, he might just throw down the gauntlet and challenge Inoue on the spot. And naturally, the crowd and Inoue's fans would expect a response. If Inoue says yes in front of all those people, he's kinda locked in, and there's no turning back. That could set the stage for a potentially epic showdown next year!

Congratulations, Gilas Pilipinas! We got the gold.

Such a great game by Gilas. It wasn't all about Brownlee tonight; it was a total team effort. What I like about Gilas here is the defense.

Coach Tim Cone, the best coach in Asia. I'm just so happy tonight. FINALLY!

That was a fantastic game! The Philippines made a remarkable comeback, and they didn't let Jordan control the tempo. It was the suffocating defense of the Philippines that was the key to their success. I didn't keep track of how many points Brownlee contributed, but it was everyone on the floor who made the win possible. In contrast, Jordan relied heavily on RHJ, and their import obviously struggled significantly, possibly due to the early defensive pressure from the Philippines.

Huge credit also goes to Tim Cone. His strategic genius made it difficult for Jordan in a low-scoring game, especially when their three-point shooting wasn't working. I had a feeling the Philippines would secure the win, but I didn't celebrate prematurely since anything could have happened. Now that it's over, let's celebrate together!
535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL is purely a mental challenge on: October 06, 2023, 09:46:45 AM
It is undeniable, indeed a big challenge, especially for beginners. Having mixed emotions and a lack of knowledge, you'll really become uncertain of your doings, and even holding becomes questionable. I could say this because this is what I felt before until I realized that holding is a must. We can't never beat that market volatility which sometimes we are urged to hold our coins and become patient. If we can't hold it means that we never see success as well. That is why impatient people suffer losses while those who can wait are able to reach their goals.
536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons of my experience and knowledge about Bitcoin on: October 05, 2023, 09:57:06 PM

_ Don't Force Bitcoin on others, but be a resource to those who seek knowledge
This is the thing...we don't need to look for someone and even a friend or relative and encourage them to invest but rather wait for them to ask us and be their guide. It is a big mistake to give them a promise to earn money because there is no assurance of it. Giving them the idea will be enough for them to decide if they are going to invest or not, it depends on their risk appetite and their mindset. What we did was just spread the information and educate people about crypto but not for the seek of making them invest, that was an option.
537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I need to Trade My Coin on: October 05, 2023, 09:34:19 PM
Buy low, Hold, and Sell High = we're making money from this. I know that some people think that trading will give them more profit, yes but that is for those who have deep knowledge about this while many are suffering losses. There is no harm in trying but if we are not sure about it, better just hold and wait for the right time to sell.

We don't need to have a coach/mentor doing it as it was just a simple trade, far different from being a day trader. Besides, there are a lot of resources available online that we can learn from, in fact, I'm doing this and it works.

538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias vs. S. Ergashev (IBF jr. welterweight title) Nov. 4: Las Vegas on: October 05, 2023, 01:00:46 PM
Whoever wins in this match-up will become the next most promising boxer, both fighters are tough, with good records I'm not looking at the record because you can come out with 20 wins, and with all of it coming from knock out if all you fought are patsies, based on what I saw on their highlights Ergashev is a better fighter quick with good lateral movement and can knock out his opponent with one punch, reminds me of Beterbiev this is a good match up.
I expect an early knockout, as both fighters possess an explosive punch, I favor Ergashev to win by knockout and steal the crown from Matias.

It's a good challenge for Matias, as he is currently the champion. If he doesn't deserve to be the champion, then Ergashev will replace him. This division has four champions, which makes it very exciting to follow. Personally, I would like to know if there's one among them who will become an undisputed champion. With what has happened in other divisions, we get the feeling of watching a unification battle, especially an undisputed fight.

So, just follow your instincts. Champions are not meant to stay forever, and as long as the competition is fierce, there will always be others who can replace them, as it's the battle of the best.
539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 05, 2023, 12:27:43 PM
The odds for Philippines vs Jordan for the game tomorrow @8:00 PM is already out.

You can see the odds ; https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/international/asian-games/matches

Philippines 3.30 (+7.5)
Iran 1.30

This is the last game for the Philippines. I think we should at least bet on this game and forget what happened during the quarter-finals when the Philippines had a meltdown against Jordan. And yes, the Philippines will seek its revenge, so I think the moneyline is quite attractive.

If I recall correctly, the moneyline odds against China were even bigger, as they were +10 underdogs.

That must be Jordan mate, not Iran hehe. I'm fortunate enough that have pushed the bet button early as I still got the Gilas +10.5 @2.05, now the odds are shifting towards Gilas but I think not to the extent that they would be the favorites to win the Finals tomorrow.

They made it against the host country, China last night and I would not be surprised that coach Tim Cone and his Gilas wards would be holding the championship trophy when the final buzzer sounded.

They had an impressive win, coming back from a 20-point deficit is hard, but Gilas made it and won by a single point. Brownlee is still the key to Gilas' success tomorrow evening. Jordan, although very confident as they are undefeated, should be a bit worried since China was ranked top 1, yet Gilas defeated them.

With the Philippines at 3.30 odds, that's a good deal already, like getting more than a 50% discount. Betting $100 would win you $230, a good deal indeed.
540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest only in Bitcoin and never invest in shitcoin on: October 04, 2023, 12:37:50 PM
Still, a lot of things need to understand in the crypto world and one is to know what is the best coin to invest in. You think OP that altcoins are shitcoins but wondering why many people are still investing in this even though they know that altcoins are worthless? Maybe you also need to understand that not all of them are shitcoins, there are some that you need to find. Besides, earning in cryptocurrency is not all about choosing the right coins or even choosing Bitcoin alone but also, it matters how we manage our investment.
