542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you panic sell into MtGox manipulation? on: February 20, 2014, 05:33:18 PM
I haven't panicked yet...(probably won't)..., but I have not been able to log into my account for 3 days! (Haven't tried for several months)

Type in the user name and password, hit enter and ....nothing.  Huh

I wanted to see if I could convert the remaining $0.13 to btc...

Can everybody else log in or is it just you?
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin shop in London on: February 20, 2014, 04:47:18 PM
Will be interesting to see how many of these shops open in the coming year. Wonder what sort of markup he has per bitcoin?

I wonder how long it'll be till we see the first bitcoin convenience store that accepts BTC only. Now that would be cool.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you panic sell into MtGox manipulation? on: February 20, 2014, 04:44:58 PM
If people were any rational they would not be paying hundreds of dollars for one bitcoin

How much should they be paying?

547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Petition To Remove Mark Karpeles From The Bitcoin Foundation Board on: February 20, 2014, 03:45:43 PM
Just saying, one killing saves many people a lot of money. Bitcoin companies will clean up their act for the next 5 years

Killing someone wont get you your money back. It usually guarantees the opposite.

But it assures others that force will be used if you think you can walk all over us.

GREAT. headline: Bitcoin uses deadly force to anyone who double crosses them.

Do you want Bitcon to fail we are not all criminals.

lol, I agree, we can't just kill everybody who runs a shitty business. That would really tarnish bitcoins name.

549  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can we de-throne the foundation? on: February 20, 2014, 03:19:27 PM

Could start a petition to remove the Bitcoin foundation all together I doubt many people want this though as there is good potential there.

Why would they listen to a petition?

I've served on boards and elected office, everyone in those situations listen to petitions, but don't forget they may also have other interests to consider.

Let me ask you this, has any of you called any of the board members?

Petitions are a bit of paper that can easily be ignored. Oh look there's a petition calling for us to quit? Shall we ignore it? Yes, ok.

553  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV time on: February 20, 2014, 02:37:59 PM
Watch Revolution if you haven't. Other then that try American Horror Story. As for comedy I like cartoons, if you haven't seen Rick and Morty check it out right now.

Only watched a few episodes of Revolution but I thought it was shit. I want to see AHS though.
554  Other / Off-topic / Re: MtGox is The Boy Who Cried Wolf on: February 20, 2014, 02:36:27 PM

Why don't you make this story together !!

MtGox is The Boy Who Cried

This story is about a MtGox.

I thought this was going to be a Fresh Prince rhyme after this line Sad.

They're not a democratically elected body, nor do they speak for the whole of Bitcoin any way.

They claim to be the spokesman for the Bitcoin community which could tarnish our reputation in the future which is not something which I want to happen we need to stop donating to this fundation.

Do they? What's to stop anyone claiming the same thing?
556  Other / Off-topic / Re: Facebook buys WhatsApp for $19 billion in tech world’s largest buy on: February 20, 2014, 02:32:45 PM
That's doesn't seem good as nowadats WhatApps fee is 1dollar after a year of using. I think facebook will increase the fee.

People probably wont pay it or move to a different app.
557  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will happen when we hit 21 000 000 bitcoins on: February 20, 2014, 02:31:32 PM
OK so there is an x factor!

Once the bitcoin becomes more of a mainstream medium for commerce it will
create exponential transaction explosion. This will in turn lead to increased block transactions wich leads to more
rewards wich leads to reaching the 21 million mark at a more accelerated time frame. When well thats still a speculative guess at best. So the main point here is that the current growth of the market cap (float) is largely a product of investors hoarding or trading bitcoin. This is infinitesimal compared to the bitcoin as currency being used in mainstream commerce.

559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity on: February 20, 2014, 01:50:54 PM
Bitcoin is not as anoymous as people think just take a look at the scam accusations and how many people get caight almost 90%.

It's NOT anonymous it's more anonymous than Fiat but still not.

Is it?

Just seems like an empty prestige title
