541  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: October 25, 2023, 09:20:43 PM

~snip~
If that's true I guess JBL voice may have some weight in doing the decision, though like what you said it's more on how the management will select their import, They are always being expected to dominate or I mean one of the top caliber in terms of winning and considering their import will be a management decision.

I also seen some post from social media about possibility that they may acquire Blakely, not sure if you are all familiar with the hotshots former import who works with coach Tim before.

Though another what if, we will only know who's who once the season starts.
I've heard of Blakely before so, there are a lot of names that are being point out on who's going to be the next import while Brownlee is still away. Well, whoever they decide to take while he's away will be definitely a tough decision for them but they need to do it for their own sake. And speaking of the issue from Brownlee, Kevin Alas posted the certificate that he's got from Asian games that proves that the gold medal will never be taken away from them.

It's posted by Inquirer Sports Fb page.

543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 25, 2023, 11:13:57 AM
``Justin Brownlee wanting his replacement, suggesting that it should be Balkman while he's not yet around. Yes, he was the one suggesting that Ginebra should take Balkman as his replacement.

I mean, sure, they might be friends from their days as teammates, but let's get real for a sec. Is this guy serious? Renaldo Balkman, who I thought was banned from the PBA forever, isn't exactly getting any younger. He's, what, 39 years old now? How's he gonna keep up with these young imports? I get making suggestions, but picking him as a replacement? Nah, I'm not so sure about that.
I don't know about that but that's what I've seen in the news that he's the one that he's suggesting and requesting for the Ginebra to take since he can't play anymore due to sanctions. But the decision will still be depending on the Ginebra's management if they will grant that and I'm not just so sure about the age limit and the physique of Balkman. If they have no choice and he's likely the one that they're about to choose then all they need to do is to call him to play for them. Where can we see the list of the available imports that are available to play in the PBA? I guess that there are a lot of them but since it's Ginebra that's asking for it, that's going to take still a lot of consideration if they'll grant that request or they'll have to go through with a tough selection process because they always want the best for them and to take every season's championship.
544  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coins.ph hacked, $6 million lost? on: October 25, 2023, 09:44:07 AM
There's an update regarding this news and hack, Chainalysis confirms that it's actually Coins.ph products (XRP) that has been hacked when this news breaks.

From this article: 12 Million XRP Reportedly Stolen From Coins.ph Now Labeled in Chainalysis Products

[...]
  • Coins.ph suffered a possible security breach resulting in the theft of approximately $6 million worth of XRP.
  • Chainalysis, a blockchain analysis firm, has confirmed that the funds in question are now labeled within their products, allowing their customers to investigate their movement.
[...]

The 12.2 million XRP, valued at approximately $6.6 million during the potential exploit, constitutes to around 20% of the Series C funding to Coins.ph in May 2022. BitPinas has shared these insights to Coins.ph before this article is published and has sought the company’s comments to provide clarity on what exactly these funds are.

On the last quote, you can see that amount came from their funding last year and it's 20% and kind a huge if that's from their investors.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ETF $IBTC REMOVED IN DTCC WEBSITE!! MANIPULATION COMING OUT? on: October 24, 2023, 09:14:30 PM
I also don't think that it was an actual manipulation, it's like the announcement isn't there yet but because it's been placed there already the market reacted. And because of how the market showed the FOMO, whoever is behind the taking down of it probably the SEC just want to let the people know to take it easy from there as they haven't announced anything yet. Anyway, there might be something to do with this[1] too. This was just released an hour ago but reading it, it doesn't say anything about Bitcoin ETF.

546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 24, 2023, 07:43:05 PM
Hey, I've got some good news to share with all of you!

From an initial report of two years, it's now possible that the wait will be reduced to just three months. Pretty great news, isn't it? Here's hoping it becomes a reality!

Quote
He said it starts with JB proving beyond doubt that the carboxy-THC found in his urine sample was due to the medications he had been taking to heal from his bone spur removal in August. It is something Barangay Ginebra governor and Gilas Pilipinas team manager Alfrancis Chua and the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas have been working on already.

It does not mean that Brownlee will escape punishment. It means that his suspension could be reduced significantly to around three months instead of the reported two years. Brownlee's suspension, according to Henson, could even be as short as a month, depending on the "reckoning period."

https://www.onesports.ph/pba/article/16447/door-ajar-for-justin-brownlee-s-pba-return-says-quinito-henson-but-stars-need-to-align
This is good news if it's going to be lessened into a three-month of wait. And there's a news that I have seen recently about Justin Brownlee wanting his replacement, suggesting that it should be Balkman while he's not yet around. Yes, he was the one suggesting that Ginebra should take Balkman as his replacement. And if there's proof that he took those meds for his own medication then that's a strong basis and reasoning that he didn't take it as an enhancement for his game but only for medical purposes. Maybe that reason has been accepted and that's why the penalty or punishment has been reduced.
547  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: October 24, 2023, 06:15:04 PM
but is 35k te expensive to buy bitcoin?
First, congratulations if you've bought the price that's under the current one. $35k is expensive if compared to the current price is quite higher. But soon, when the bull run really comes to the market, you'll see how it's still cheap right now. We can't prove yet how cheap it is because we're not yet on the higher price but we'll be there in a matter of time. And also depends on your capacity right now, if you can avail to buy at that price then that's good. As per looking at the price now, we're seeing Bitcoin playing from $33k-$34k and if it stabilizes there, you can decide whether you want to buy now or wait for its correction.

549  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga ragnarok classic gamer maganda ito on: October 24, 2023, 10:42:22 AM

based on my own experience to mga kaibigan.
550  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Educational plan sa Bitcoin o Insurance? on: October 24, 2023, 08:16:11 AM

551  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: October 24, 2023, 06:46:23 AM
Sa Wednesday na opening games:

Nuggets vs Lakers
Warriors vs Suns

552  Local / Pamilihan / Re: COINS PH XRP TRANSACTION QUEUE on: October 23, 2023, 11:53:42 PM

then now im looking for alternatives ng coins ph , any suggestion guys , or any tips para mabilis mag send iyong transact sa coins ph .

  • Gcrypto (Gcash)
  • PDAX

Hindi ko lang sigurado kung pati Maya supported nila ang XRP pero check mo na din itong list: List of Licensed Virtual Currency Exchanges in the Philippines
553  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: October 23, 2023, 10:01:32 PM
Can be from loans, from the sale of your other assets, or from your savings. But today is actually a great era when you don't need some investment for some business ideas. Do you see the annoying affiliate links that are being shared on social media? They are referral links that's being clicked by the viewers of those contents that are also interested in the products that they share there. You don't need capital in doing that and all you need to do is to have effort in doing contents like short time videos and then at the end of its caption there goes the affiliate link for that product and every sale being done through your link, there goes the commissions that will go to you.

555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a 20% Annual Return good ? on: October 23, 2023, 03:33:54 PM
That's super good return. Can you trade for me please?
I'd like to give you a warning that some random guys will message you and tell you that they can do that for you. Never entertain any of them and if OP is successful in doing this 20% return yearly with his trading strategies, that's actually a good amount. It's not too good to be true because there will be a lot of obstacles in able for someone to reach this amount. An experienced trader can reach such annual profits with all of the knowledge, basis and strategies that he has learned over all his trading career.
556  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: October 23, 2023, 12:54:02 PM

Philippines-based exchange Coins.ph appears to have lost 12.2 million XRP in possible exploit

[...]
The Philippines-based crypto exchange Coins.ph appears to have experienced an exploit on Tuesday that resulted in the loss of more than 12 million XRP tokens ($6 million).

Within about 30 minutes, a supposed hacker exchanged 999,999.999 XRP lots 13 times, in addition to another lot of 200,000 XRP, according to the blockchain explorer XRP scan.

[..]

557  Economy / Economics / Re: how businesses swindle the minimum wage employee on: October 23, 2023, 10:30:55 AM
so folks. the gist is.. if a business requires you to be away from home and performing activities that benefit them from 8:45-6:15 make sure they pay you for all of that time ESPECIALLY if its minimum wage
That's the discussion that most of the employees have about how their employers are also invading their privacy and even their personal lives. You work based on the agreement and if it's outside the working hours, I agree that it should be paid as well but I'll choose not to get paid and I'll just ignore any inquiry that's beyond my working hours. That's better, looking for a work-life balance type of job is harder these days when most of the companies want to buy your life and family time with the minimum wage they pay you. Well, here in the Philippines minimum wage is much lower than the given on the OP since we're still a developing country but the situation is just the same on how these companies exploits employees.
558  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coinsph nawalan ng xrp , Mag-ingat on: October 23, 2023, 08:43:56 AM
559  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the fall of Elon Musk's empire imminent? on: October 22, 2023, 11:19:19 PM
I am not a fan of his X but I am a fan of his Tesla. I'll still give him time to fix whatever crazy things he did for his X. LOL, who am I to wait for that right? But just for someone who just turns out to check in here and for his platform. I'm sure that he won't just accept the fact that he'd accept losses from this $42B investment and deal that he has made in the acquisition of X. His empire IMHO is too huge to fall but not that means that one from them can fall which is being thought by the majority about X.
560  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coinsph nawalan ng xrp , Mag-ingat on: October 22, 2023, 08:45:58 PM
