5461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware wallets insecure - Ethereum hacker selling databases from shopify hack on: May 29, 2020, 10:27:24 PM
They've never been secure. Use paper wallets. If you don't know how to properly use paper wallets then ask, research and test. Don't trust someone with your trustless currency.

Paper wallet is not the answer.

All wallets can be hacked as they use codes, there is nothing you can do about it. The only option is to always keep them offline and use it only when you need to trade.

Wallets area users personal responsibility, just like a pocket wallet. They only get compromise when a user let them to be.
5462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is getting rich quickly! on: May 29, 2020, 10:22:37 PM
Let's give example of you bought 100 BTC at 9000$ Price and the price went 9010$ in seconds then you sold, so your profit will be 1000$, may 500$ fees, but the another 500$ you made it profit in seconds!

Let's discuss at the point!

Individuals like you when suffered losses would then blame Bitcoin and certify it as a Ponzi scheme. Bitcoin was never a quick rich money scheme. It has shown a significant growth through the years.

You cannot become rich by quoting your example, you can loose everything if the price dives back to 6k level, then you migh have to wait a year or so for it to again come back to 9k level.
5463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exodus or Atomic wallet for ether ? on: May 29, 2020, 01:42:24 PM
I have used both the wallets for more than a year now and feel Exodus is better for you if you want to hold only ether. There are still bugs in atomic wallet which they have been removing with every new update but I still think it will be risky to use it. It is also very slow if you compare it with Exodus and has a glitchy UI.

If you are planning to keep a considerable amount of Ether than it is better to go for a hardware wallet than these software wallets. Remember security is the key in cryptocurrency market.
5464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees high on: May 29, 2020, 02:14:16 AM
From what I have understood, the fees for Bitcoin transaction is not really attached to price, it’s about the demand and supply being high.

There are times I notice that the price will be increasing and I will have to pay a high fee for a transaction and there are time when the price will stays stable and settle at that same high price and when I try sending money I will be charged small fee.

Bitcoin network can only process 1MB, so when the supply and demand is high the network becomes congested and miners will only process the transactions with high fees. When this happens there are lots of people who are enforced to spend big money as high fees for a quick transaction. As per the current situation, it seems segwit is not helping or it is slightly getting older to cope up with the current number of bitcoin users and their transaction habits; probably it is time for segwit V2.0?

Increase in fee is a big problem for Bitcoin if we want mass adoption. Already this thread has been full of queries and reason to why the fee is high but, if you still compare the fee with big payment system the fee is very low.

Currently the fee per byte is hovering around 70 to 75 Satoshi, which is previously was 40 to 44 Satoshi. Current USD value of Bitcoin is making it look much bigger than it actually is.
5465  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Latoken will charge you 5USD monthly, if you are not active. on: May 29, 2020, 12:11:05 AM
Be careful guys, those who hold funds on Latoken exchange and not trading, you will be charged 5USD monthly.
Look they officially send it through email and confirmed on Telegram.

I think that they officially bury themselves.

Do they consider themselves as a bank wherein you need to pay a bank to keep your money safe. It is better to leave such ludacris exchange and move to another.

Also, if any one has cryptocurrency stored on karlien it is better to transfer them to your personal wallet for security reason because they might now block your account untill the fine is paid.
5466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 29, 2020, 12:03:32 AM
India lost that match intentionally to keep Pakistan out and play against the Kiwis in the semi-finals.

Shahid Afridi and Gautam Gambhir had some heated arguments

Kapil Dev and Gavaskar going against Shoaib Akhtar for proposing a friendly match

Chris Gayle going wild against Ramnaresh Sarwan.

Afridi VS Gambhir.
One has political ambitions and the other is already into politics. They need some issue to always remain in the limelight. The best issue is to talk about India and Pakistan.

Kapil-Gavaskar VS Akhtar.
When the world is in crisis, Akhtar comes out with a solution let's play cricket  Cheesy  what else do you need only Cricket can resolve this humanity crisis..LOL

Gayle VS Sarwan
Gayle has nothing to complain he is more successful than Sarwan but he also need to be in the news to earn money when he is not playing.

Cricket is no more a gentleman's game.
5467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 28, 2020, 11:47:34 PM
Vishnu already mentioned about S.Manohar. These days Kumar Sangakkara  name popping here & there so who knows if he gets the hotseat.

Kumar Sangakkara is known as a gentleman and I would support him over the other candidates (many of whom happen to be businessmen with no relation to cricket). Sharad Pawar did a lot of damage to the sport of cricket, when he became the ICC president in 2010. There was zero positive contribution from his side and there was corruption everywhere. Shashank Manohar is a hundred times better than him, but still I would prefer someone with cricketing experience like Sangakkara.
This is the latest news in upcoming ICC's recruitment.

TLDR : Front runner is Colin Graves (Current ECB chairman), Sourav Ganguly name also popping up after South African management recommended his name. (personal opinion : BCCI need Ganguly more  Grin)

ICC confirms chairman Shashank Manohar won't seek third term

That is true BCCI needs Gangully more than ICC. He can only bring a lot of positive changes to Indian cricket. Almost every member in BCCI is affiliated to a political party. Politics has ruined the board for a long time and players like Ganguly and others can make a difference to the existing structure.
5468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake stellar airdrop+malware promoting via email with using name of bittrex on: May 28, 2020, 11:42:40 PM
Any promotion that comes to your mail id should be ignored or should be marked as a scam. Airdrop and promotions from already established cryptocurrency projects are always declared on their blogs.

Always check their blogs, social media handles or their website to reconfirm their promotion. Scammers have been using such tricks to lure newbies.

Always remember nothing is free.
5469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PROMOTION TURNS WOE on: May 28, 2020, 11:13:03 PM
More than 80 percent of projects listed on bounty thread do not bring any big change to the current tech enviornment. Most of them are either copied project or an upgraded version of an existing project.

How can then a project succeed in getting investment or becoming a hit when listed on an exchange. They do not have anything unique to offer and you are blatantly blaming the hunters for their downfall.

Only a small portion of tokens are airdropped or used as rewards if those tokens are sold on the first day when the project is listed on an exchange it will not affect the price unless investors start selling their tokens

Check your math before writing such a shit excuse.
5470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Despite Many Participants, You Can Still Get Huge Rewards In Bounty. on: May 28, 2020, 10:59:39 PM
Many Bounty Hunters Are Increasing Daily On A Regular Basis Thereby Causing Many Hunters Feels Reluctant Of Paticipating In Nowaday Bounties Because Of Low And Unappreciated Rewards. Campaigns Managed By Bounty Detective Seems To Be Stressful Because Of Its Long Duration Of 12 Weeks And At The End Hunters Still Getting Poor Rewards Of $5, Lol. 😂

I Have Observed So Many Times That Article And Video Campaigns Have Less Participants While Hunters Feels It's Much Stressful And Brainstorming. Bounty Hunting Is All About Sacrificing Time, Energy, Data And Electricity. Now For You To Be A Good Hunter With High Rewards, You Have To Participate In Article And Video Campaigns Only, For Lower Ranks On Forum And Sometimes Signature Campaigns For Higher Ranks, Meanwhile Participating In Social Media Campaigns Gives Less Reward Because Of Many Participants. Try This And You Gonna Appreciate Me.

There is no guarantee that you will earn a big chunk by participating in article and youtube bounties. It all depends on the uniqueness of that content and how effectively you have discussed all the parameters. There have been many instances when your article or your youtube video did not qualify for an award.

The safest and the best way to earn reward is by participating in signature bounty. The stakes offered her are always high as compared to other bounties. I have always participated in signature campaign and made good sum of money too.

The only issue with signature bounty is if the project fails or if the token crashes as soon as it hits the exchange.
5471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rentberry ICO Update on: May 28, 2020, 10:51:47 PM
Their concept is good but as all real estate ventures have failed they have done the same in the market. I am not sure what made the 534 individuals invest in it. Currently real estate is one of the worst affected sector due to the covid 19 situation. It might take a while for them to raise funds now.
5472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deflationary Tokens on: May 27, 2020, 09:23:41 PM
I am well aware of coins with controlled inflation like BTC, where a finite number of coins will be generated at a controlled rate. Very recently I came across deflationary tokens where coins are destroyed whenever a transaction is made and they will end at some time.
My question is what is the purpose of creating such coins? Are they worthy enough to be invested ?

If I am correct you mean to say that for transaction made the will burn the coin. Why not create a certain number of coins and then release it in the market?

Now if I want to transfer the coin or pay to someone using that coin then after the transaction is complete the coin gets destroyed and no one can use it. So, where it the adaptability, how will they create a market for that coin?

I do not understand the concept at all.

5473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cartesi is now listed in Binance on: May 27, 2020, 09:15:31 PM
Cartesi is now also listed on WazirX exchange in India. WazirX is a subsidiary of Binance exchange. They have paired it with USDT and also organised a trading competition on 26th and 27th.

CTSI has now been listed on quite a good exchanges. We now need to wait for it to moon.

Thanks for the payment and bonus @lightlord.
5475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think shops should accept bitcoin? on: May 27, 2020, 04:17:41 PM
Bitcoin price goes up and down all the time. If someone buys something costing 10$, the next day it may cost less or more. So it's a risk for the seller.

Yes, that is a major issue but the chance of $10 becoming $20 is also high. Considering the price of Bitcoin from 2010 till date it has always gone up.

For example let's look into the  price of Bitcoin on Bitcoin pizza day

2010: $0.0041
2011: $6.47
2012: $5.07
2013: $120.96
2014: $508.41
2015: $238.17
2016: $445.23
2017: $2,136.02
2018: $8,465.99
2019: $7,623.51
2020: $9,205.40

So, if a vendor accepts Bitcoin he/she will benefit and not incurr any loss.
5476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 27, 2020, 01:47:03 PM
There is a good chance that BCCI will be able to convince ICC to postponed T20 World Cup to 2022, which means BCCI  will be able to conduct IPL in the month of October.

Sad news for many of us here and all cricket fans globally as we now have to wait two years to watch the T20 Cricket World Cup.

5477  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency Price Check Sites on: May 27, 2020, 01:30:35 PM
I prefer using multiple exchanges where I have my account and use them for trading. In my opinion you should use these websites only to check coin/token matrix in case if you are planning to invest in a new cryptocurrency.

For price checking there are many apps available to check and analyse your portfolio.
5478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tips] A Member ask Me: Merit Value Greater Than Activity. How it happen? on: May 27, 2020, 07:33:18 AM
the Merit system and the Rank system is not a race don't pressure our selves to gain that but still it is better to have a goal like one merit per day or per week. Merit reflects the number of contributors to our forum, but having a small amount of merit does it mean you don't have a good contribution to our forum? No. If you have a good quality content output the merit will follow.

Merit system was created to increase the quality of post whereas it has now become a way to analyse and select individual for bounty campaign. So, yes it has become a race and members are doing everything to get more merits.

How do analyse the quality of a post? How do you determine whether the post was helpfull for the community? Are some questions which no one will be answering you because you will know it gradually as you spend more time here.

Therefore keep posting everyday, every post should be a quality post, create interesting topics and you will get rewarded eventually.
5479  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Project Covid-19 : Supply to 20 families in Nigeria {New Update}. on: May 27, 2020, 06:53:11 AM
WOW!

What a beautiful idea helping those in need. A job that comes with great responsibility and has been brilliantly executed. In crisis situation like this food and water is what everyone needs. You have done a great job for humanity, stay safe and stay blessed so that you can help more.

Just a suggestion if you also help the needy with medical aid.
5480  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (discussion) as a newbie should you or should you not loan to invest in BTC. on: May 27, 2020, 04:07:00 AM
"Bitcoin is on the rise" "the future is all about Bitcoin" this and more Can be the Apple that caught your interest -its true, but still the future is on the blind spot of men-  as an investor profit signifies success, but how far a can you go to go for that investment you see profit in?

One of the basic techniques and everyone can agree with me is "invest what you can forfeit/loss.  Can loan be the answer?

Is Investing in Bitcoin with a loan usually have time to pay up, so this is you not working with your own time but the time you are to pay up, there can be a drop so bad it becomes a loss and you have to pay up.
Before taking that loan have you rationalized
+ the time you have
+ Worst possible outcome as to Best possible outcome
+ Your mental balance - you on you toes knowing it's a loan-
+ Is the profit equivalent to risk

Invest in Bitcoin with capital you can call your own, -dont be mis guarded if anyone makes you understand that Bitcoin is a ladder that only goes up-. You can learn skill/services you can give out in exchange for Bitcoin. demote taking a loan to the lowest part of your list of options.

If you have a stable job and if you can afford to pay the monthly emi of your loan then you should borrow money and invest in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and wait for it to moon.

I know and every one here also know that Bitcoin will moon, what we do not know is when it will?

The question here is whether you can afford to take a loan and wait till Bitcoin reaches a new all time high. It is always advised to invest money which you can afford to invest and take the risk.

The higher the risk, the higher is the return. So if you are willing to take that risk you should go for it.
