561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: June 12, 2017, 04:47:52 PM
Alright I'm not complaining about having to wait, but I do want to point out the deal with the "donation". The whole "donation" phrasing came into effect midway through the ico. When I invested into XEL, there was nothing indicating my investment was a donation. Donation disclaimers and country restrictions, among other legal jargon, was not implemented at the start of the sale, when myself, as well as many others, invested their coins.

Donation, from my point of view, is a term that got thrown around to protect the creator who went Mia shortly later.

Hi Jeff,

I tried to reconstruct everything and found out that on 9 Mar 2016 there already was a donation phrase on the website back then. Most likely (I am not sure, but I really believe) that the transition occured somewhere around 24 February 2016, so I guess the donation disclaimer was not read by people that came before 24th of February.

That would make a total of around 29 BTC affected. What does the community suggest here? Reading all these complaints over and over again here, what would be the community's preferred way to democratically handle it? I personally am pissed off by this discussion, If I would be the one to decide (which I am clearly not) I would somehow come up with 29 BTC, send them back and just erase the associated XEL once for all!

Hey EK,

It was not my intention to stir the pot or create any sort of animosity through my points about the donation term. I've been following the progress actively on the old thread (and now this one) for quite some time, and I am very excited with everything you and other members of the community have done to bring this project to where it is now.

Clearly this discussion is counter-productive towards the continued development and proliferation of XEL. I want nothing but the best for this project, and do not feel that I represent a different group because I deposited prior to the donation disclaimer.

I apologize for scathing comments made in regards to the topic. I will refrain from such sentiments from here on out.
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔ DigiSync v6.14.2 - DigiSpeed - Segwit -DiguSign on: June 12, 2017, 04:35:37 PM
This coin has become joke...

Now people are saying that the Minecraft server itself is running on pirated version of Minecraft... wtf

Dumped at 2200 and will buy back at 500 now

Of course, it does not run pirated. I know the owner. Don't spread fud. I bought 10k more at 1020 satoshi and it will rise again don't worry. If it goes lower I buy even more. Have some trust.

To others please don't complain afterward about rumors. You decided to trade on unofficial rumors your fault not Digibyte. I am holding further.

MineThatDigi is a cracked Minecraft server- meaning that anyone who has stolen an account can play on the server. This is essentially a "pirated" copy of the game. This is what it means to have a login/password when you first rejoin the server. That's what cracked servers do.

I've been playing on the server for a couple of days and I am very disappointed with the implementation. It's clear that the two man admin team has little or no prior experience with running a server. The lack of world border (idiotic) has already led to the server becoming increasingly laggy, in the couple short days it's been up. There is no anti-cheat or combat logger. I PM'd the owner on skype that players were duping with /suicide, and he didn't seem to know what duping means.

Take Digibyte completely out of the equation, the Minecraft server itself is poor quality. I don't see why anyone looking for quality Minecraft multiplayer would play on MineThatDigi, when there are thousands of other servers that do exactly what this one does much better.

The only way the server can be successful is to fix all the bugs, wipe the map, and relaunch. Hopefully along the way they can add some interesting features to keep players interested.

Can you show me proof if it's pirated? Cause I play with an official account. If people with cracked accounts can connect then I will ask them to change that.

Maybe a 1 week alpha with full wipe was a better idea. Like I am not an official team member and some dupers got banned already. I will personal check if there are more dupers today. but I did give some feedback while the project was in the making and now did again with the launch. The project just relaunched and again we are talking about students in their free time making this project. There are world high expectations going on that really need to by toned down sorry. I yesterday readed twitter and saw a lot of indirect price hype and that it was a product from Digibyte itself. It started as a school project and now it grew bigger.

There is a anti cheat that warn the admins and you see the public anti cheat. Yesterday and 2 days back it was doing poorly because the server was getting overloaded. The owner expected 20-30 users not near 100 straight away.

The plan is to get people introduced with cryptocurrency thats the plan off Minethatdigi for younger people and that's why I support this project.

Yesterday they already fixed a few things and today they will do more and I am communicating with them on daily basis currently to communicate replies like you with them.

A launch does not always goes smooth its a good lesson for the team to do things diffrently next time.

Give it a week they will fix a lot of bugs and people can't withdraw yet so no duped Digibyte will leave the server.

EDIT: It does seem to run a pirated version not sure why they didn't tell me about it. I do not agree with this so I will try to get this changed.

Yes, it does run a pirated version. Could you please contact the developer and make a statement here? since everything is so fear right now because price is crashing so much. i dont know how to make my money back after all of this happens. Sad

Yes I did They will hold a voting for removing the possible pirated version in the near future (There are some reasons why its configured like this now). Sorry for not seeing this earlier. I explained exactly why this is bad. Also, this topic is not the support for minethatdigi please contact by the website from now on. This is the Digibyte topic.

Don't blame Minethatdigi for price manipulation please thanks. What is happening with partnership is classfied and also not my task. I am only a help admin at this moment on the server. More I can't inform just have fun playing.

World border needs to be implemented if owners want this server to be playable going forward. The only server I can think of that doesn't have a world border is 2b2t, which has perhaps the beefiest rig throughout all multiplayer servers, and it's still laggy as hell.

Nobody is going to get introduced to cryptocurrency if they aren't attracted to the server in the first place. For people looking to find a new and fun server, there are many others that offer more impressive gameplay capabilities (and smoother, too) than this server.

I get that these are two school kids, and I commend them for their ambition, but the fact of the matter is someone who has experience running a Minecraft server and knows what they are doing needs to get on board for this project to succeed.

I'll gladly redirect my conversation once a forum is put into place. Once there is a forum, I'll compile all the issues I've seen and changes i feel are necessary into a single post for the admins to read through.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: June 12, 2017, 04:50:02 AM
There is a dip on price, so good time to buy some. I see the game is going to be easy 10 dollars token. Do not trust my word, but I just tell what I do at the time Smiley

Gonna sell back some of my MobileGO once it hits Bittrex to purchase more GAME. The future for GameCredits is undeniably bright. The day where crypto and video games fuses seamlessly is right around the corner, and GAME is going to lead that vision.

Same thing happened to me. I invested in XEL before the whole "donation" disclaimers were added to the site.

I agree.

This is why I sold my XELs already, because it is just an investment that I had written-off a long time ago. (Pretty happy with the return.)
I'm probably going to buy some when it hits the exchanges though.

Plz. everybody. stop circling in the loop.

we get more than what we "invest" or "donate" whatever you call it.

EK spend his invaluable time in this project.

this wording argument is worthless now.   we true believer get 100X more from our penny "investment" or "donation"

I am f**king tired of this discussion at this wonderful time.

Alright, chill. I'm very grateful for everything EK and the rest of the contributors have done to get this project to where it is now. I understand we are all very lucky that EK took Elastic under his wing, rather than allow it to wither into oblivion. I'm merely pointing out (because the argument gets thrown around time and time again) that many of us did not donate to this project, we invested with the assumption that there would be some return on investment.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: June 12, 2017, 02:30:02 AM
Investor waiting for Elastic .  Grin

That person probably died from a vacant cranial cavity (tiny brain) rather than waiting for the following reasons:
A) There where no investors but rather people who sent donations
B) The progression this project has shown thus far is impressive and is by far superior to other comparable projects.
C) Dumb money will always give dumb remarks/excuses/accusations/complaints

If you did participate in the donation phase, feel yourself privileged and lucky.

566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MineThatDigi Wipe means DGB crash harder? on: June 12, 2017, 02:22:26 AM
Some of these devs really don't seem to want to spend money on development.  They should find interns from universities to work for free.  Some students cannot charge for work because of the type of visa but still want experience.

I'm not criticizing Digibyte because they always have kept a foot in the game, which is more than a few others.

MineThatDigi is an independent project ran by two school kids. No hate there- great to see people starting major projects so young. Fact of the matter is I think this whole server was way overblown, and people are coming to that realization now. Two 16yr old kids with little to no administrative experience should not be tasked with the face of an entity worth $300 million.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund - LARGEST Crypto Crowdsale In History on: June 12, 2017, 12:17:21 AM
ETH and Waves tokens can now both be traded at Tidex Cheesy

https://tidex.com/exchange/#/pair/MGO_BTC <- Waves token traiding pair
https://tidex.com/exchange/#/pair/eMGO_BTC <- Ethereum token trading pair

i think not nice if have to on tidex.com .
i hope can list on bittrex or poloniex, this is can help the price token to up

I agree...  It's unfortunate.  What's the token on Waves Exchange?  I'm seeing a lot of tokens showing up when I search MGO.

Bittrex is implementing the Eth token shortly (according to development team, at least). What surprises me with Tidex trading is the discrepancy in volume and prices between Waves and ETH tokens. ETH tokens will be traded on major exchanges first, you would think traders would care more about getting that token on their hands?

Lmao OP is hillairous you are tying to FUD and cause a further crash? People see your thread and get scared and then sell to you for buying

Is that your goal? You want to buy some cheap DGB?

You are very smart to be able to trick people

Nice 1

I bought $50 worth of DGB near the peak in preparation for the Minecraft server. I looked into DGB when it was 50 sats and didn't touch it. I've got no inclination to buy in. I care about it only to the extent that a Minecraft server seeking to do what I've been looking for for 4+ years has been launched... and this server is crashing and failing. Admins are children on summer break who have no idea how to run a minecraft server. Basic modifications that all multiplayer servers have has been ignored. It's embarrassing, to say the least.

looks like this coin is totally fake.. what a shame that i bought huntercoin to get some..

I don't think it's fake. Developer keeps popping in to see progress is happening. We just gotta be patient, we're still in the pre-ICO-pre-anything phase. The abstract of Chimaera is very ambitious, this is a project that will take significant time to reach fruition.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / MineThatDigi Wipe means DGB crash harder? on: June 10, 2017, 11:24:41 PM
For those who have been playing on MneThatDigi within the past couple of hours, you've probably seen conversation about people duplicating items in the game. While admins went to bed, a group of players have been creating infinite diamonds for themselves. What this means is the server will most likely have to reset, and anything that happened today will be lost. Like all server resets, angry players may quit, this will hurt playerbse significantly.

Do you think frustrations regarding the Minecraft server will lead to a further downswing in DGB?
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔ DigiSync v6.14.2 - DigiSpeed - Segwit -DiguSign on: June 10, 2017, 11:14:30 PM
Been playing MineThatDigi all day today! Very impressive playercount so far (been in 80s all day). What's going to make or break this server is its ability to get a general minecraft audience involved. I'm sure admins have stuff planned down the road for this. Other issue is no player-to-player economy established (as far as I'm aware) but that is supposedly being implemented soon. Would be really great to see a high velocity DGB economy on a minecraft server!

Nice that you like it. I discovered the version before and that way came into contact with the owner. I have given some feedback and your feedback to the developers curious where this is going. They are working on improvements they will update in the following days also the forum will go up soon. I also think the player count will motivate them to work harder. Smiley

Cool, thanks. Also, there seems to be a huge issue taking place on the server right now. Supposedly a bunch of people are duping via suicide and selling emeralds to the shop. All the staff seems to be offline. Plays are upset that this will most likely lead to a map wipe.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DGB mid term? on: June 10, 2017, 09:25:44 PM
I'm afraid to say it's going to keep crashing after the Minecraft server launches. It sucks because I was super excited for the server, but after doing as much research as I can- the server offers legitimately nothing in terms of quality Minecraft or Cryptocurrency advancements. It's a barebones hub server (meaning, there are tens of thousands of similar servers) and the role of DGB does not extend beyond a faucet. You can get small amounts for playing on the server, but you can't even trade them between players.

When it fails to sustain a playerbase (like each of the handful of crypto servers before it), everyone's going to notice the insignificance of the server.

Hoping I'm wrong, and I bought DGB to play with on the server. Just don't see how this is going to offer anything new.

minecraft was a useless hype in the beginning no idea why it was hyped, the real value of dgb is its great technology good team and comunity and digibyte gaming, with cs go and lol(biggest game in the world)

I think it could have some major impact if it penetrates into the general minecraft audience. Unlike the CS:GO and League implementations, the DGB integration is not transparent. New players coming on to the server will learn about DGB, while most people who play league and csgo will never know what the faucet dgb deal is.

Bounce back is temporary, once server releases people are gonna dump Digibyte. The sad reality of MineThatDigi is it offers no technical value as a Minecraft server (run-of-the-mill hub, thousands of servers like it exist) or as a cryptocurrency advancement (it's merely a faucet, you can't even exchange it between players). I'm gonna be playing on it but I'm not sure if many others will, too.

Well in the pump and dump world Digibyte was gonna sign a contract with CitiBank tomorrow and they had a deal with Microsoft on minecraft.
Very little is true when reading this forum. But that is why ppl bought into DGB in the last weeks.

I haven't read/seen anything about a deal with Microsoft. A Digibyte server will launch tomorrow:

Quote
The Minecraft DigiByte server will be housed at Mine That Digi and it’ll be launched on the 10th of June, 2017. That’ll coincide with the event taking place on the 9th with Citi.

The reason this Minecraft announcement has caught on in the crypto-hype market is its perfect timing with the two events mentioned above. Minecraft Marketplace with Minecraft Coins launched this week on Bedrock Platforms, and DigiByte (official) is going to make a presentation at a Citi event.

Sad truth is that MineThatDigi isn't creating a Minecraft Marketplace. It's using Digibyte as a faucet, similar to PlayMC (which offers the same experience with a Bitcoin faucet. [PS. Nobody plays on it]). The Minecraft server offers nothing revolutionary for either Minecraft players or Crypto enthusiasts. Sad, but the truth. Still looking forward to the launch of the server.

Are there any lite/web wallets available for Digibyte? Looks like the Android wallet isn't available in United States. I want to have some DGB on hand in preparation for the launch of the Minecraft server, but I don't want to have to download some gigabytes worth of blockchain to do so.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / For those anticipating the launch of MineThatDigi... Do you have DGB set aside? on: June 09, 2017, 12:02:25 AM
Really looking forward to the launch of MineThatDigi. Unfortunately, I don't have any DGB accumulated to have as spending money for the start of the server, and I'm afraid to get some now since It's pretty clear I'll be buying in to a bubble. I want to know if there are people out there getting ready for the launch, because although I'm excited for it, I have a feeling it's going to flop. BitVegas, CraftCC, PlayMC, Bitquest, Bitcoin Mines, and the Dogecoin server by Killion devs (can't remember the name) have all lacked success. I've played on all of these servers. While people are hyping the shit out of this as something great for Digibyte, I haven't seen much discussion as to people getting excited to actually play on it. Does anyone care about this as a Minecraft server, rather than a hype avenue?
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do People Invest Into DOGE? on: June 08, 2017, 11:56:58 PM

Dogecoin has various use, but I wont list it.

What are the uses of Doge? I don't think many people know what they are... and it can't both be top 15 marketcap and also be tiny with huge potential... it's one or the other. With that being said, people invest in Doge because they like to invest in memes. As far as memecoins go, Dogecoin is a Bluechip.. the gold standard. And there's nothing wrong with that justification for investment.
