581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] - YEP - Yep We Can! - Launch POW/POS 200% YEP SHA256D YEP on: June 16, 2015, 08:54:36 PM

So is this accurate?

New Pos Rewards:

2020 - 2045 = 20  YEP per block

The reason I ask is because I staked block 2020 but it didn't pay 20 YEP.  The reward was 0.36690961.  Block 2020 returns blockhash 58a01259a944e340abcf896f8b6050fbbfe832a9527ddb0c1ea6b3c06eefd919 in the wallet block browser which is the block attached to the transaction ID for the staked block. Also, the block explorer at http://cryptobe.com/chain/YepCoin only shows up to block 2019.

New rewards start at 2021 the 2020 is when normal pos stopped. ie

it will be 20 yep until block 2045 then the next reward kicks in at 2046 and so on

https://github.com/yep-project/YEP/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1011-L1013

Thanks

Ah okay.  The way it's written in the ANN makes it sound like 2020 is the first block with the new reward but I see in the code it actually starts at 2021.

Also, now the wallet is out of sync at block 2020.  Last generated block was three hours ago.

588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 12, 2015, 04:21:18 PM
I for one am perfectly happy that the fly by night investors sell of their Ether. Long holders will be amply rewarded.

What was the ico / crowdfunding price in btc?

From their webpage:

What was the Ether Sale?
In order to raise funds for development of Ethereum to the release of the genesis block and beyond, the Ethereum foundation conducted a sale of Ether to the public, during which anyone could buy Ether in exchange for Bitcoin at a rate of 1337 to 2000 ETH per BTC, with earlier purchasers getting better rates.

The sale lasted 42 days, starting on July 22nd and ending at 23:59 Zug time September 2, and collected a total of 31531 BTC, worth $18,439,086 at the time of the sale, in exchange for about 60102216 ETH.

yeah - I can live with the above cross - post

NOW DASHER - NOW.....

edit: God forbid I cause somebody to make a RudolfCoin - just in time for Christmas 2015 - ugh

I don't know anything other than what is in the LIMX OP but that is a lot of hate for a fork of an open source project.  It doesn't portray you or Dash in a very positive light at all.

I also think that to post language like the following alongside the Dash logo is vile.

1 - ATTACK the FUCK out of DASH - Yeah, you heard me - ATTACK DASH like a BITCH looking for some dick on her last egg. I don't mean go and VERBAL attack DASH - I want to see people CODING to attack DASH - Try to find a way to BREAK DASH - MAKE me say I'm sorry as I watch DASH get fucked in the ass - come on you fucking tards - let me watch as you rape my babies..... I think you get the point.....

Looks like mangledblue has come unhinged.  Pretty bad way to represent a supposedly professional project..  Reminiscent of that one clown camo-something that used to post and always sounded like they were having a nervous breakdown.  Probably the same person just different screen name.

As you were.

I just followed the instructions.  That was on a Windows box.  I'm setting up a Linux box as well but am having some issues compiling from the source.
Are you sure that you started the daemon with the command
Code:
forknoted --config-file configs\loteria.conf
?
To me it seems that you mine in the Dashcoin chain, which is working.

No I'm mining the right chain.  I'm synced with the nodes:

597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash is dying in front of everyone's eyes and no-one seems to care, why is that? on: May 27, 2015, 02:37:26 PM
Seems like just one gimmick after another to keep the hype up.  I read on their thread that they are planning on taking even more block rewards away from the miners to fund development.  Between what goes to the few people running masternodes and then whatever goes towards a development fund what is the incentive to even mine the coin.

I said a long time ago that masternodes were just a gimmick to use to put coins in the hands of a few while taking them away from miners.  It worked so good that a plethora of new scam coins have been launching nearly every day using masternodes just for that  purpose.  Masternodes have always been and always will be a centralized solution.  In DASH's case the distribution of masternodes is pathetic with one entity controlling a huge percentage and a few others controlling a majority of the rest.  Yet they still claim that DASH is decentralized.  The only people they are convincing is themselves.

Has anyone verified the BBR GUI is free from virus?

Firefox is warning me when I download it. Is there an easy way I can create a cold wallet address to send to without downloading the GUI at all?

Thanks

The file is fine.  Firefox doesn't like the .exe file.

I'm assuming you're using Windows.  If so there are two downloads on the Boolberry downloads page.  One is "Full Installer" and the other is "Full Package".  The "Full Installer" is an .exe file and that is what's causing Firefox to give you a warning.  The "Full Package" is a zip file.  I personally don't like using installers if I don't have to so I use the "Full Package" and unzip to a directory of my choosing and run the qt-boolb.exe from there.  Maybe use the "Full Package" .zip download and then do a mandatory check of the .exe at virustotal.com before launching.  Then just wait for it to download the blockchain which will take some time.

You can also use the command line simplewallet which is included in the "Full Package" .zip download.  http://boolberry.com/howto.html#wallet
