582  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Which bull run experience is the best for you? on: October 19, 2023, 04:53:56 AM
2017 was fun but 2021 was more fun. The 2017 was like the bull run that has taught many the lesson that we have to take profits and take those withdrawals. The market won't wait for us any longer when it steps on the bull run and that's why I belong to those folks that have taken the advantage and profit on 2021. Not a lot but more than the year of 2017 when I didn't do a lot of profit taking. I don't hold a lot but it means a lot to me when I was able to get close to the ATH and sold there. I am looking forward to a better bull run and might be bigger than 2021. And as the cycle goes on, those that have never taken profits in 2021 because of greediness. They will for sure gonna apply the lesson they learn from there and will not have a second thought on selling when bull run appears likely on 2024-2025.
583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can the government acquire all bitcoins either by seizure or purchase? on: October 18, 2023, 11:58:05 PM
So I am thinking, apart from physically confiscating hardware wallets and apprehending bitcoin holders to submit their seed phrase, is it possible that the government can seize bitcoins belonging to citizens even though it is a decentralized system?
I am sure that they know and they have the idea that these are the only ways that they can take someone's Bitcoin. They have the power to do that if they're in the government to just confiscate and take away people's phrases and seeds in a forced manner. And they're also aware that many won't obey that rule because someone can remain lowkey and low profile that it seems that he's an idiot and doesn't understand a thing or two about Bitcoin. That's why it's unlikely that they can seize all people's Bitcoin if they ever get to have an order to seize all people's Bitcoin. I guess that these topics are popping up due to the war and all of the news that has come out. But remember folks, you can play dead and know nothing about Bitcoin if someone asks you and this is the importance of remaining anonymous don't talk a lot in public that you know that much about cryptocurrencies. Yes, we're advocates and educate people about Bitcoin but we should do it in a proper venue because who knows if someone is watching out like the FEDs and has got plans like these topics that have been brought up.
584  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Another Pouch.ph inquiry thread on: October 18, 2023, 10:15:43 PM
585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is a Threat and BTC leads on: October 18, 2023, 08:59:10 PM
My question is are they trying to protect their citizens or what?

Personally, I believe competition is good for the consumer but when government officials make this comment, I try to see things from their perspective and analyze them. So, what are government officials saying that they are not actually telling the people in reality.
We don't know the actual reason why they're stopping citizens into this. If they've got something that they know and we don't know, it's like a crowd control that they're trying to do. It is a matter of their personal choice so they are making policies that are in favor of them.
What we know about them is if they don't like something, they don't like it and they can make policies that will stop that from being liked by people. If we're going to think of them really concerned about people because they've seen victims of scams that used Bitcoin before. Maybe that's a genuine care to their people but even with that, it shouldn't be like what they think of and should have been focus tearing down the scams.

587  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 18, 2023, 05:42:11 PM
Bills aren't unexpected, they're obligations and they come at times that we're expecting them like monthly or every half month. While it's true that it's hard to make ends meet we have to do something in order for us to overcome this problem. Like the financial advisers that I've heard say, it's not about how much you make but how much you save and invest. But if there seems to be no movement at all and you're just spending everything whenever you receive your salary, what you must do is do something different like increasing your cash flow and source of income through having more side hustles. Because no matter how thrifty you are when every expense is going up, you need to add an additional source of money.

We can do this by reducing our spending on things that are not really needed, which will be very helpful. I mean every month we must already have an idea of how much money we will spend on basic needs that cannot be abandoned, because we already know the needs for sure. As for bills, I think we already know how much we have to spend, except for some bills such as vehicle repair costs that are unexpected.
We can do it from the smallest things, don't be too hasty, because things like this also require patience for us to do, to make our financial situation improve.
Yeah, a reduction in spending on things that you don't need is a big thing for your budget. You'll realize if there are things that are unnecessarily included in your budget. If you're into subscriptions, better check it again if you need them because, at most times, you don't. Those little amounts that you will collect on top of that will give you an idea of how much you can save and spend for a year. And if you feel that you're wasting money on them, then that's a knock on your head that you have to spend money wisely only on important things and maybe for some leisures.

589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Discovered a new way to protect my Bitcoin on: October 18, 2023, 04:56:22 AM
I recently discovered a new way to store Bitcoin that has totally changed the game for me. This new method not only keeps my crypto safe, but it also makes my crypto investment strategy a lot easier.

In addition to this new method, I’ve discovered a few other tips that have been invaluable to me.

For example, you could create a “decoy” wallet with a tiny/0 balance amount of Bitcoin. This way, you’ll be able to divert potential threats/thieves away from your crypto.

You could also try using a multi-signature wallet for extra level of security.

These unconventional tips have given me a new level of confidence in my crypto holdings.
Multisig is good but yeah, they're right that having a decoy wallet isn't new at all. But if it's new to you and you're doing that, then that's nice that you're able to discover it without someone telling you about this idea. And what matters really is when you're dealing with your own privacy, as in never talking with that public or anyone even the person you trust the most. Anyway, hardware wallets are still my personal choice as they've got a better validation when you're accessing your funds I like that feature that I've seen and it's kind of hectic before I access my own funds which is positive to me.

Check this link tiktok link from DZBB

We all want to save money, but it's not always easy.
There are so many things that tempt us to spend, unexpected bills that pop up, and it can be hard to make ends meet.
How do you manage to save in a world that encourages spending? Let's talk about it.
Share your ideas, tips, and stories about saving money, and together, we can figure out how to get better at it. (We will also draw valuable lessons from the mistakes and experiences of others.)

593  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Dollar vs. Bitcoin Clash: Experts Flex Opposing Views on: October 17, 2023, 01:17:22 PM

1. Malabong mawala ang US dollar.

594  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF Approval: Fueling Bullish Momentum? on: October 17, 2023, 11:09:14 AM
Yeah, October isn't yet the month that seems to have the push for Bitcoin. Everything will be seen when we're close to halving and after that. That's the most exciting part and we don't need any of these fake news because majority of the news that will come out by that time are likely going to be good.
Historically, October has been bullish; however, I haven't observed much momentum in BTC recently.
But as the years passed, there have been changes in these seasons. There have been lapses for the known months for Bitcoin to be bullish just like in the past when people have compared December because 2017 was when the bull run happened. And comparing it with the following December's, not that much to say and not a lot had happened.

On the bright side, some altcoins have been performing well. I reviewed my portfolio on Bitget a few hours ago and am pleased with the results. XOR, Bigtime, and Tip are among the tokens showing positive gains.
That's common. As we all know, whenever Bitcoin goes up then everything in the market follows it as it's the leader of the entirety of cryptocurrency. A bull run happens for Bitcoin, there goes the equal reaction for which results the called 'altcoin season'.
595  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF Approval: Fueling Bullish Momentum? on: October 17, 2023, 09:13:12 AM
Despite the news was all fake and unreal. It seems that the push has been going on and I do think that it will reach up to $29k and even more than that because it shows no sign of backing down despite all of the corrections of what Cointelegraph and the follow-up of other Tweets about the fake approval.
-snip-
The push continues slowly even if it's fake news.
Even touched $30k in an instant, but will it last?
Maybe it can and we'll see the window of $30k but it seems that the correction is about to happen and it stopped going on to $28,500. As that could be the peak of this fake news effect.

I think there will be some more spikes later, October is not over yet and it will be a chance for the market to start rising slowly.

597  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: October 16, 2023, 11:40:07 PM
Ano guild sinalihan mo kabayan?

I'm not a trader and I don't react to these news and price moves. My bitcoin is safe in my wallet and that's all there is to it.
If you get excited and keep buying every piece of news without verification, you'll end up like these people who bought bitcoin today and got dumped on.

Take it slow people, bitcoin isn't going anywhere. When the ETF finally is approved you'll have a lot of time to enjoy the uptrend.
I agree, while the excited ones have been caught by this FOMO. But it's only a matter of time before they actually approve one or a couple of these ETFs filed for them. It has nowhere to go and everyone is just waiting for the go signal and yes from the regulator (SEC). This money's ready to be loaded onto the market just as we're seeing it right now. It only takes a few hours before a few thousand for Bitcoin's price to be up. There could be more if we finally get to see the true approval. Anyway, I'm intrigued if there will be suing that will happen from the liquidated ones against Cointelegraph.

Source: https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2023/10/16/bitcoin-momentarily-hits-30k-on-false-spot-etf-approval-report-leads-to-100m-liquidations/
Grin
600  Economy / Economics / Re: In times of war, Gold rises. What about Bitcoin? on: October 16, 2023, 03:13:06 PM
I've seen Gold market prices rising lately as a result of the current Israel-Hamas conflict. However, Bitcoin hasn't experienced any upsurge in price. It's still hovering around the $26k range. Something similar happened during the Russia-Ukraine war.
I think that's quite late as the price has risen to $28,200 just now. The day hasn't ended yet but we've been seeing rises as of this day and likely to continue. But it wouldn't be surprising if the day after tomorrow starts to see its correction.

Is it because investors still don't trust Bitcoin as a store of value? Or is it something else? Please enlighten me. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Maybe just something else because despite that we're already many in this community and trusting Bitcoin. There are more people who lack knowledge about it and haven't heard any word about it. And even if many of them have heard already about it, they just don't like Bitcoin because they prefer more the traditional assets that we all know.
