UTC PUMP EASY GOING

Okay lets make a new pact as great community Smiley im doing this with PaulR.
And hopefully some people will join here!

On CT you can buy UTC up to 0,00015 easily with 1,8 BTC on cryptsy you need more then 10.

Step 1: Together ad european time around 8 a clock at night lets buy from the sell side on CT.
Step 2: At that moment lets start with spamming cryptsy again from look at CT and cryptsy will follow in a second
Step 3: Keep on spamming and we get the pump to 0,00020 again!

SO WHO WILL JOIN PAULR AND ME ON THIS Huh
[/color]

I will try to assist but I am at work...

Please keep keep a note of all of the negative feedback you get from others while promoting UTC.  If we can gain some insight as to the FUD people are spreading and the general reasons that people have for being hesitant to invest, we can bring those thoughts back here and develop answers and solutions.  Sometimes when promoting, you will get some negative feedback that you do not have a quick response or argument on hand to retort.  The community can assist with this and we will be better prepared in the future.

A recent example: Someone stated in the trollbox, "I like UTC but the block times are too fast and cause too many orphans."

How would you all respond to this statement?

That orphan problem happened to all fast block coins...not sure what's the fix. (if it even exists)

The DEV is Brazilian?

Which of these algorithms uses less energy with the 280x windforce?

Thanks!

From lowest to highest power draw: groestl, qubit, skein, scrypt.

Me and Thirtybird have extensive experience with n factor coins...he is the yacminer dev and I've been mining yacoin for ages, as well as UTC and others.

I can post settings for all cards, but we already have the conf file generator thirtybird developed in the op.
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ASIC-RESISTANT] UltraCoin (UTC) - Ultrafast 6 second transactions!! on: May 02, 2014, 01:44:57 PM
Before I add this information,  is this archive for script mining or X11 ?

Settings for X11

https://mega.co.nz/#!QgpS0ZBA!aH5_1oADu8i00tc5r6i6bj4D1XtnzVNeMmKAkDyLsH4

Why the need for a download?

Settings for what card? I'm not downloading random stuff when I can just post some text here:

270x 2gb: n factor 12

yacminer --scrypt-chacha --nfmax 12 --nfmin 12 -R 5120 -g 1 --lookup-gap 4

There ya go, no mega link needed. (that's for straight utc)

For the x11 multipool, get sph-sgminer and use the following:

sgminer --kernel darkcoin --intensity 19 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 16384 -w 256

I have a question. I want to mine UTC with rented rigs, but which algorithm should I have to choose ? Scrypt-A-Nfactor or X11 ?

Thanks

Betarigs doesn't do n factor 2 scrypt-chacha (or jane as some call it)

Excellent!
Thx for sharing.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 02, 2014, 01:28:36 AM
as an alternative to myriad-coin you can also take a look at saffron-coin. same algorithm -> minable with ccminer
saffroncoin looks very shady to me. And still no exchange right?
Anyway I must report about the performance of ccminer0.7 about myr-gr. My GTX580 flies with 12Mhs right now. Absolutely magic, Christian + Christian  Wink

GTX 580 (compute 2.0) 12 Mhash/s
GTX 660Ti (compute 3.0) 9,7 Mhash/s (overclocked)
GTX 750Ti (compute 5.0) 6,4 Mhash/s (overclocked)

i'm disappoint...

EDIT:
seems i have found dependence
GTX 580   -> Memory Interface Width 384-bit; Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) 192.4 -> 12 Mhash/s
GTX 660ti -> Memory Interface Width 192-bit; Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) 144,2 -> 9,7 Mhash/s (overclocked)
GTX 750ti -> Memory Interface Width 128-bit; Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) 86.4 -> 6,4 Mhash/s (overclocked)

or number of ROPs?
GTX 580   -> 48 ROPs
GTX 660ti -> 24 ROPs
GTX 750ti -> 16 ROPs

Happens on the AMD camp too...a lowly 6970 does 12mh/s mining myr-groestl.
I'm not exactly sure why.

hi all, I see the new version of ccminer is released. Congrats to both Christian.

So I have mined for bigjme now and i have mined for ivanlabrie.

@ivanlabrie please give me a groestlcoin address or I have to sell at current price and send you btc. I believe GRS will increase in price so I want you to sell on your own.

@liomojo I am mining right now for you. pls give me a GRS addy.

@cbuchner1 I would be mining myr for you from tomorrow. please give me a myr address.

Oh, amazing, GRS is pretty high atm, if it goes even higher it'll be nice Cheesy

587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin | Scrypt N | Beat ASICs | Must upgrade wallet due to a bug in OpenSSL on: May 01, 2014, 07:13:10 AM
I have a question and hopefully a developer can answer it for me.

Can you guys please, please get in touch with Nate of MultiMiner and or Luke Jr. of BFGMiner and contribute the code so we can get scrypt N support in them?
Nate Woolls and Luke Jr have stated over and over any coins or algorithms can be added but they need the devs to contribute the code.  They would be happy to support it and do it quickly.

They serve a huge group of the crypto mining community.  MultiMiner is a great GUI program that beats any I have used for any backend.
It is new user friendly and has the same ability for tweaks and tinkering that cgminer and BFGMiner have.

I am asking on behalf of the crypto community and myself.

Thanks for your consideration.

Good idea!

I've used mobile miner quite a bit, have a paid subscription and all.

Looking good, and that is a cool catch phrase.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin | Scrypt N | Beat ASICs | Must upgrade wallet due to a bug in OpenSSL on: May 01, 2014, 06:37:49 AM
I think that from the get go, the N factor schedule is too slow...gives time to ASIC manufacturers to catch up eventually, and it also heavily favors miners invested in high end r9 280x/7970/7950/r9 290 cards, ergo big farm owners.

On the other hand a higher n factor (or faster changing one) would make lower end cards with higher shader to vram size ratios better, or at least much closer to r9 290 performance, which in the end would be better for descentralization if it helps spread the mining power between people of different social classes, not everyone can afford to buy high end gpus and powerful psus to build a sustainable mining rig.

Still sucks and knc is not trustworthy anymore...a refund would mean double the coins if you buy back into BTC again.
Those miners, even two of them in a month and a half, and the second by August, will NEVER mine twice the bitcoins than they cost originally.
Yeah but BTC prices might rise before Charles get his refund.... How long does the banktransfer take?

I've been reading the knc thread and people are suggesting asking for BTC refunds since refunds in cash take FOREVER to process (like a month vs a week or two).

EDIT: I don't see BTC rising anytime soon, if anything it's heading down to the 200-300usd area for a while.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin | Scrypt N | Beat ASICs | Must upgrade wallet due to a bug in OpenSSL on: May 01, 2014, 12:14:06 AM
Yacoin devs had to fix some pos related flaws, they worked together with the NVC dev.
I don't think a pure PoS coin can work well though, those are hybrid PoS/PoW...keeping it pos only after an early instamine I mean PoW phase speaks tons about the developers and their inner circle's intentions with the coin.

Haven't you learnt from your mistakes?

Don't trust these money grabbing scumbags that fund r&d with customer's money, and deliver stuff late or overcharge for the miners...
Go gpu mining instead, or just learn how to do trading with the BTC you have.

No ASIC manufacturer is treating customers well, except for the green and red teams (yeah nvidia and amd, since they don't have a stake in mining, they don't need to make money off it and screw you over).

GPU mining will be dead in a couple of months. -> alternate algorithms
Tried trading and wasn't too good at it. -> you need to do some research, study and practice, that's all. (and don't be overly greedy with each trade)

Purchasing KNC's Jupiter worked out well for me.
Hashfast screwed me over.

Spondoolies will be my final attempt at being a miner and if it doesn't work out, I'm out.

Let's compare apple to apple, 16 posts on the Hashfast forum since 9am April 29th.  5 pages worth of 20 posts per page = 100 posts on KnC since 9am April 29th.   Not sure if KnC has 6x as many customers or just 6x as many trolls.

Everyone's too busy suing hashfast to be posting on the forums.  They broke their TOS and that is that.  There is nothing more to be said.

No ASIC manufacturer is treating customers well, except for the green and red teams (yeah nvidia and amd, since they don't have a stake in mining, they don't need to make money off it and screw you over).

Wink

Who wants to buy 5.4TH miner for $10? its possible! http://devcoinauctions.com/blog/auction/sp30-yukon-august-batch-asic-miner-5-3ths/

early bird special.

That's closer to the real price lol

EDIT: forum mods, admins, whatever, we need a multi quote function. Thx

Faster changing n factors would hurt ASICs real bad...so yeah, YAC style.
We'll see for now, this coin favors high end AMD gpu users (which isn't so cool in my book)
Higher n factors tend to normalize hash rate between higher end and lower end equipment, and make cpu mining sort of viable (GPUs still beat a cpu by a power of 10 though).
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 30, 2014, 09:45:02 PM

That's why I said remotely close.  Knowing Avenger, I don't believe he will knowingly say anything nice about KnC, but this one comes close.

So I still don't get why all the hates for KnC when they have essentially absorbing the 50+ % drop in bitcoin value.   Yet I don't see as much hatred on the HashFast forum where most people who ordered there lost 75% of their bitcoin value (a gain of 4-5x for HashFast) and none of the B2- B4 pre-order customers have received any refund or any response from HashFast.

Did you totally miss about 300 posts in the hashfast thread where we expressed our dissatisfaction with hashfast and decided to lawyer up??  There is nothing more to say in that thread that hasn't been said before.  Hashfast is scum and I expected much more from KNC, but alas, it seems they are following the same footsteps.

Time to give Spondoolies a chance I guess.

You're better off trading Wink

why do you say "better off trading"??

I do not understand?/

What he is trying to say - I think - is that you can make more profit by trading DGC (to other currencies and then trade them back with profit). Or, by "short term trading / investing ".  He thinks it's more profitable than that tower.  He might be right, as I do make profit by trading altcoins (and I lost money by using that tower ^^).

Exactly, if you want to increase your dgc holdings, or just get btc from other coins you can make more money, reliably, trading different pairs.
Ponzi/pyramid schemes are not a good idea unless you're the guy who created/started it...all that come after him will be screwed. :p
With trading you can assess risk by trading say 20% of your total budget, maybe even less and only focus on stuff that seems like a really good idea on multiple fronts (technical analysis, fundamentals, news, and so on).

Vtc devs said they would hard fork if need be to get rid of ASICs, so yeah, there goes Flower who.

Also, scrypt asics cost a LOT of money and aren't delivered on time...basically a manufacturer's game->centralization.
We don't want that and we'll vote with our wallets and hash.  Cool
