601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 15, 2023, 11:59:47 PM
Same here because Fajardo won't be around playing for the Beermen for at least six weeks as the injury he sustained in the ESL cup was worse than expected.

I believed 6 weeks is not even enough to cover the whole recovery period for Fajardo's injury.

If able to play, for let's say being cleared after 6 weeks, Fajardo might return to the PBA Finals but not expecting him to return on his usual form.

But obviously, Beermen should do their best to reach that stage. It is surely a tough challenge for them to play without Fajardo on board to reach the Finals.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 15, 2023, 11:59:17 PM
The most popular mistake that newbies make with online casinos is avoiding the rules and regulations, not all online casinos will put up a warning sign on their first page and say 👇

It's not a popular mistake but rather newbies are not just paying attention. Usually, even newbies are not aware of the Terms and Conditions, it doesn't lead to an account being flagged or something related to that and they will just play on their usual.

In general, what most new users missed are the Terms and Conditions "related" to Bonus and Promotions.

That's where sh*t happened as there are many good expectations that users are looking forward too upon reading the promotions but not taking time to read the details and the whole terms about that promotion.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 15, 2023, 11:57:26 PM
This is good to know that Crawford with the help of Dela Hoya has a higher chance of getting a deal with Spence.  Hopefully, Dela Hoya is successful in negotiating and get a deal.

For that to happen first though, Terence Crawford needs to undergo a contract with the Golden Boy Promotions. He's currently a free agent.

But I doubt that sounds easy and simple where in fact, Crawford will face a boxer under Golden Boy Promotions, Alexis Rocha for his mandatory title defense. Terence Crawford might think that Golden Boy Promotions is just another Top Rank where the focus is really about pure business that's why the said promotion by Dela Hoya began offering some help "just now".

Although let's face it, for a big mega-fight to happen, big boxing promotions play a big role to make it happen for real.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 15, 2023, 11:45:39 PM
If he will manage to take this one away from the monster, it is surely a good start to move up and
challenge the current champ on his chosen division.

Actually, I want to see Stephen Fulton having a rematch with a much-improved Brandon Figueroa in the 126 after this match against Naoya Inoue. I'm sure Fulton won't bother to stay at 122 anymore regardless of the result of this match as that was already his original plan and it's just timing that Inoue decided to move up.

I also think Fulton is not considering having possibility of a unification match against his fellow title holder at 122 lbs, Murodjon Akhmadaliev which has a scheduled title defense against a Filipino, Marlon Tapales next month. He is surely want to moved up weight no matter what.

Can't wait to see the result of this match and how it will change the current phase of the Super Bantamweight division.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 13, 2023, 11:59:58 PM
That's what we need to see in this upcoming fight, will Donaire still have the stamina to last 12 rounds?
I am rooting for Donaire here, as the experience itself will give him the advantage over his opponent.
However, we don't know if Donaire can still last long if the fight will go the distance.
If he is up to his game, he can last long. But even if his mind wants it but sometimes the body will show if he is indeed up for it.
But who knows, he can easily beat Santiago as this may be the last hurrah of his boxing career before retirement?

Donaire can last up to 12 rounds if we talk about facing Santiago. I don't really mind his stamina here.

Again, if Donaire will struggle in this fight, no room for him to stay at 118 and just hang his gloves.

I do see that Donaire will win this fight as he's facing a not ranked boxer here. Not degrading Santiago here but there's no big achievement yet he did even though he's currently at the peak of his career.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 13, 2023, 11:59:48 PM
As far as upsets, Fulton is the champion and a live dog, so it's possible, but it's unlikely to happen because of what we have seen on Inoue in his last couple of fights in 118 lbs.

I think Stephen Fulton is the only boxer as a dominant champion that Naoya Inoue will face for the first time in his career. Most of the time, Inoue defends his belts but this time he's the challenger. It's been also always a rare situation when we see a challenger as a Favorite and that's how strong Inoue is.

Fulton even as a champion is facing a tough wall to destroy. Can't wait to see them settling the score in the ring.

I think the odds should be lower than 1.37. There's little respect given to the champion, which is why the odds are quite high. However, I would take it as an opportunity since Inoue is a proven KO artist. He wouldn't be called the Monster for nothing. I am excited to see how Inoue will defeat the champion and become the reigning champion in this division. He might defend his title for a while before deciding to move up.

Respect has nothing to do with how the bookies provided their odds. It's just how bookies see the fight, then so be it.

Regardless of anything, Stephen Fulton has to do his very best in order to defeat the monster.

I'm sure he is really preparing for this really badly as he even skips moving up a weight to 126 just to face Inoue and settle the scores first.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 13, 2023, 11:57:16 PM
They should only freeze the account or the funds if the users requests them to via email if the account is compromised, otherwise, they don't really have to ban the user or confiscate their funds just because of an IP change, this definitely is harsh.

It's due to the fact that we don't know if there are other things that OP's friend got violated.

Even a not known gambling site won't just confiscate funds for that kind of reason.

Not unless the site OP is referring to, do have an inappropriate behaviour right from the start and not trustworthy.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fear of KYC requirements on: March 13, 2023, 11:54:17 PM
After all we are not forced to play in their platform but rather we are the one who wanted to.

As centralization is now slowly hitting other crypto-related services such as gambling, we can expect that KYC might be a necessary thing now in the future.

I really don't mind that stuff as long as I'm complying with it in a reputable casino and I'm really active doing it.

Outside crypto, I also currently playing with fiat online casinos and KYC is a usual thing there. I just become used to it that's why it's not a big deal for me.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What tool do you recommend for recording slot and live games for disputes? on: March 13, 2023, 11:48:56 PM

The default screen recording of my graphics cards is the one that I used.

Not literally for the purposes of recording my slot games but I'm using it when I like to record some of the online games I'm playing with. Almost all advanced graphics cards should have that built-in software.

No need to install any 3rd party applications not unless finding other advance options or features.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 12, 2023, 11:59:06 PM
Street gambling is safe if no one will do some sh*t there.

However, there are really instances that at some cases, things goes wrong and that's it.

Being safe or not would be subjective, so better just take care always during a street gambling session.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 12, 2023, 11:57:49 PM
Fulton will be the luckiest guy on this planet if he can upset Inoue I doubt if it will be by knockout.

A big recognition indeed for Stephen Fulton if he managed to beat Naoya Inoue.

But I won't call it an upset but rather just a win on usual.

Fulton might be the underdog but I'm sure he will give Inoue a tough fight in his career.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 12, 2023, 11:56:18 PM
Your account might be frozen or banned should you access certain platforms with VPN and I think that's the case here. Your friend justigjt have been accessing the site in question with VPN and the moment location is observed to change by means of IP address, you face the company's T&C. It's just how it is out here as some means to protect the company.

There might be some part of the story that OP didn't tell to us. SIM cards changing won't just result in a ban + funds being confiscated.

Almost lots of sites allows the use of VPN in the first place.

Let's see if we can some additional information on why that sh*t happened to OP's friend.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 12, 2023, 11:53:40 PM
Speaking of injury, i have read reports/rumors that Ian Sangalang might retire from the PBA due to health issues. Anyone knows here what's the real situation of Sangalang as i have not seen him playing for some time now.

As far as I know, only a whole season, about a year or so. Maybe the health issue now becomes a big deal.

Unfortunately, things happened but damn, Sangalang is one the best big man in the league.

He's reportedly showing a loss in his weight and maybe it's now becoming serious to the point that he will retire.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fear of KYC requirements on: March 12, 2023, 11:49:30 PM
I believe this is still affecting online gambling platforms because this is one of the most common issues that online gamblers are still facing.

Didn't you know that in online fiat gambling sites, KYC is just a common thing?

The KYC thing is an issue here in crypto-gambling but not in fiat online gambling.

Since most here are crypto-gamblers, expect that KYC is a sh*t requirement for them. But for me, if the site we are talking to is somehow reputable, I don't mind complying with KYC, only if necessary to do so.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 11, 2023, 08:30:37 PM
All of the comments in social media regarding the dunks of the participants are always negative. I mean I didn't watch the contest, and TBH, I will not watch any of the games. I would like to hear your comments because the comments that I'm seeing online is negative.

That's what they get from copying almost the entire NBA All-Star format. People will expect more the same as what they are seeing in NBA disregarding the fact that it does not make sense to expect the same intensity in the PBA and we can't expect most PBA players to have such spectacular dunking abilities even though there are lots of high flyer players in the league.

Every PBA All-Star event is always associated with bad reviews and should be just a normal day in PBA.

Maybe just be used to it bro and have fun reading debates and arguments in the comment section. Cheesy
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about stop gambling services issued by gambling platforms? on: March 11, 2023, 08:25:30 PM
If gambling sites start a stop gambling service then it would directly impact their business.
They wouldn't want their customers getting away while they are in for the profits.

I don't think it will affect their business.

Those users who will put themselves on a self-exclusion program might be just 0.001% of the whole gamblers that are using the site (don't take the percentage seriously as I just used it as a figure of speech). Adding to that, we are not talking about whales here. Most whales know what they're doing that's why they reached the stage of being a whale.

Those are the loyal customers that needed to keep and not those who will stop, from what I view it.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Gambling Legalization Reduce Gambling Rings? on: March 11, 2023, 08:19:28 PM
Do you think that there is a role that gambling legalization will play in reducing the activities of gambling rings?

Obviously, running a legal gambling operation will make business owners comfortable that everything is complying with the law. Easy also to market their service anywhere since nothing to hide shady things from the public. Legalization will also make way for these gambling operators to face some penalties if they do some sh*t to their clients and customers.

With the legalization of gambling, the government can take taxes from these gambling operators and be part of the country's revenue source.

Illegal activities can never be totally eliminated as there are always operators who don't want to comply with the law for selfish reasons but there is no doubt that the legalization of gambling will minimize and slow down their progress.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 11, 2023, 08:11:55 PM
Statistics will be nothing if old age catches up on Donaire.  This is one major reason why legendary boxers even though have better statistics losses to the young ones.  And one of the reasons why Manny Pacquiao won against Oscar Dela Hoya.

We can say that is true but somehow it depends on "who's the boxer we are talking and referring to".

Pacquiao is in his prime and dominating every division he's stepping up prior to facing the post-prime Dela Hoya. We can say that age is a big deal here.

Another example is GGG vs Canelo III. Canelo is at the peak of his career when he fought GGG for 3rd time. GGG at that time is 40 years old. GGG loses but prior to that fight, also in the same year, GGG was able to defend his title against Ryota Murata.

In general, age can be a factor but it depends on the boxer's current status and capability.

Here in Donaire vs. Santiago, age might be a factor for Donaire but Santiago isn't on a level where Donaire can take him as a threat. Maybe I can apply that age factor and will have a big impact if the supposed bout against Jason Moloney happened instead.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 11, 2023, 07:57:10 PM
Yes, that is the trouble of the boxing industry these days because promoters are too greedy making their own fight rather than giving the people the entertainment they wanted. To think, it's quite simple, for those boxers who got more to lose then it's expected that they should be favored in the table and have the bigger slice of the purse but even that easy is not enough to make the fight.

In fairness though, these big promoters are the reason why some mega-big bouts also happened. Without their strong influence and expertise in the boxing market industry, they can't organize big fights. At some point though, They are also the reason why some popular boxers today reach the stage of being the highest-paid boxer and always in a title match.

Since business is associated with building a legacy of a boxer, we can't just expect our desired fight to just happened and be organized that easily.

We don't like some of the promoter's actions but let's face it, nothing we can do about it.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 11, 2023, 07:47:47 PM
Although the Denver Nuggets are a good team, the Spurs are a team that knows how to win. They have a winning culture under Coach Gregg Popovich but only lack talent because they are composed of young guns who, at the same time, play hard.

No offense to San Antonio Spurs fans but I don't take that win against the heavy favorite Denver Nuggets. It's just another usual upset game this season. Spurs won not because they know how to win with the influence of the winning culture you are referring to about Coach Pops, but rather just play the usual basketball and give their best. The Spurs are currently in tanking phase and somehow in the process of rebuilding the team mostly by their own draft players and not by getting a big fish in free agency.

In my own honest view though, Coach Pops should let other coaches he can consider and trust, handle the new San Antonio Spurs. Not that he will totally leave the organization but rather it's just that the new generation should be handled by a new generation coach too. I know others will disagree with it but Coach Pops' system is really just effective during the prime years of the team when he handled it.
