...cryptocurrency centralized... and perhaps not even using cryptography, just a pure scriptural money with a database server. And on the top of that, I doubt a lot of countries will accept to deal with Iran using this currency. I agree they're just trying to bypass any embargo. Not much to get excited about other than the the technical side

The guy call you bro? Seriously -.- He isn't even introducing his company and its background and all the traditional kinds of stuff. He just bro 52% discount bla bla bla? I don't know if you get this in your email inbox or whatever, but I would never consider something coming from someone calling me "bro" Most of the text is related to money and not technical things. OMG, he even doesn't ask any background about you

I do not think that current investors is in doubt about the price will reach new ATH in the future. Our doubt is when to increase the BTC amount by buying and selling.
Since it's ok to say Bitcoin is an investment and the majority here doesn't see a problem, we can call them investors so. Seeing the numbers of negative topics with the generic "Bitcoin is dead" "Bitcoin lost 1% in 24h I am afraid...". We can say YES they are in doubt. And seeing how many times per week they do it's fair to say it's paranoia too

It is quite impossible to take over bitcoinorg as cobra is not the only owner of it. However, I think it is quite impossible for us to stop them from having certain level of manipulation over us, especially people who are new to the scene will definitely get mislead by these tweets. People should use their common sense to study a bit more about the situation to differentiate between right and wrong.
He is the main owner of the domain name. A domain name cannot be owned by several persons unless it's a company represented by multiple people, still the domain will be owned by the company entity. You can manage an account behalf your client but can't change the ownership

I like this project, unlike anything else ive seen so far
I like it too... However, to be "blunt" (honest; straight forward; frank) I'm not going to get burned promoting something like I have before. I used to promote the hell out of ZCash on other platforms. Especially, Trading View. When Zooko and the rest of the developers sold out GPU miners for ASIC's, it PISSED me off. Pissed a LOT of us off. I will promote ZEN once I see actual transition to a different Proof of Work to exemplify their commitment to ASIC Resistance. Until then, I'm sitting idle on the sidelines in regards to "promoting" this coin on other platforms. If people are "offended" by my honesty, so be it. I really don't give a damn. Being "straight up; honest; blunt; without beating around the bush" is the way everyone should be in my opinion. That includes founders and developers. I don't think it's too much to ask... It's understandable and there is no problem with this (especially when you see how the crypto world can be) However, I am sure you will see very soon the evidence how the dev. are committed to Zen the platform

Even though initially bitcoin was created as digital currency which can be used world wide now most of the people consider this as a good investment option as this bitcoins has many early investors to be millionaires and billionaires only by investing in the early stages of bitcoin as initially the price of bitcoin was less than a dollar now the current price is more than $ 8000 USD more over previous year the price of bitcoins has came up to $ 19300 USD which was the highest record in the history of bitcoins and other crypto currencies. After the fall in the crypto currency market now it has started to recover and more chances for the prices to rise above $ 20000 USD soon so in such a situation this bitcoins are considered as a good investment option rather than as a digital currency.
Because some are millionaires by now (and there are not a lot) it doesn't mean Bitcoin should be considered as an investment, no matter the speculation you bring up. Bitcoin is what the community does with it. There are people who don't care to see Bitcoin dying as long as they can make money until the last day. And there are some who prefer to see for example the Bitcoin value at $1 but massively used all over the world by all the economic classes.

Satoshi work for Blockstream (or any other Crypto company for that matter )? I don't think so. Recognizing Adams Beck in his Whitepaper doesn't mean he believes in his way of thinking or doing thing. Blockstream is Centralized entity compared to Satoshi's important invention. It'll be kind of weird for him to work for the Company.
He will probably accept an advisory role.
Yeah I know, but let's be honest. Better to work for Blockstream than working for Roger ver and his Btrash. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Imagine seeing him going to work for Roger Ver? Man, I leave the crypto world forever without any question I believe he will be honoured by all forum members Seeing how people are using Bitcoin as an investment rather than a digital currency I don't think so If he is young, he probably participated in making other coins or platforms with some people or on his own
I doubt he is young, it needs a lot of knowledge to create such project, I guess he is at least 40 years old by now

Seeing Satoshi coming back and clean the mess we see here and there in the Bitcoin sphere. Bitcoin is like a soap opera, I can so imagine the mainstream media publishing articles with their own conspiracy theory, even Alex Jones would surely join the party. Roger Ver becoming jealous so and crying like a baby on Twitter

And another difference is your funds in a bank account is insured by the government (at least in most Europeans countries, don't know outside) It means even if the bank collapse your funds are protected by the government (up to €100k per account in my country) So talking about the risk I would prefer the bank

LOL, it remembers me Transferwise. After reading a post from HostFat on this topic saying he tried with a Bitcoin exchange, I went to their website to check the FAQ. It was clearly saying they don't allow transfers related to Bitcoin. So I asked in their chat to be sure, thinking their FAQ is outdated. The lady confirmed it's possible when I pointed her to the FAQ, she told she will ask tomorrow to her superior to be sure. The next day she finally told me we can't.

Even the most popular exchange didn't anticipate the increase in users. I am thinking for example to Kraken, Bittrex, and even Coinbase. It took months to hire more staff and it's not as simple as it seems. They first need to find qualified persons and then training them to fit their needs. It's not like if you hire someone from a call center to answer to phone calls.

Bitcoin was used as a digital currency since from the start. But this become a failure because there's a problem regarding on mass adoption and government acceptance due to its features. But still bitcoin had achieved an increasing value when some other countries are starting to use it as a mode of payment for commodities, services and some converted it to fiats. Due to its high market value, bitcoin was already considered as an investment and asset. They used as an investment because bitcoin has a huge increase of value every year. Big investors come and buy a lot of bitcoins in the market for the profit they can get from it. Bitcoin with its features made itself as an investment nowadays. And we have nothing to do when crypto community already call bitcoin as an investment.
How Is Bitcoin a failure? It's a success (at what level is another thing) We don't need to get the governments accepting Bitcoin. It's supposed to be free from them. You won't see the police visiting you at home to see if you downloaded a Bitcoin wallet and checking it to see if it has an activity. You're yourself telling it: "some other countries are starting to use it as a mode of payment" I think everyone here is for profit. how else can this be called except as an investment
It's not the truth. It's not because you see thousands of people spamming the forum to earn some bucks that it means everyone is here for profits. There are a lot of true Bitcoiners, and you can't consider only the forum, not every crypto enthusiast is a member of BitcoinTalk.

I would never buy gold from a free blog unless I personally know the seller. There are a lot of reputed websites you can use without any risk such as Apmex, their shipments are insured & shipped securely. There are also a few places where you can buy directly from their office in the Benelux and Germany

edited: (changed from question to statement) If the Banks where about to give a service where the people can get a LOAN via Bitcoins I guess, it would be beneficial to all of us,The Banks and The Traders. I think with this, trading would be a lot more easier, am I wrong? Escrows will have an easier way to get money from other individuals, and the budgets for the Campaigns will be a lot more than before.
The banks will have no value to lend cryptocurrency because it's not backed by something and by the way, traders don't borrow money ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Escrows? Do you use escrow in your daily life? Would trading be a lot easier? So you think traders borrow money to banks to then go to trade using an escrow?

They say that gambling addiction is about the same as trading addiction, I suppose they were looking for someone with experience with this addiction this was the strangest thing I have heard! and it makes me wonder if they would have created the same thing if it was "stocks trading", "Forex", "precious metals",.... or different types of trading. why focus on cryptocurrencies?! that is the weird part. It exists also for traders in stocks etc. Out of curiosity when I read this news yesterday, I wondered if it also exists.,I searched to find and I found 1 in 20 seconds ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

If Bitcoin ETF gets rejected you can be ready to see a big slap on the crypto market and the mainstream media will be happy to spread the news using clickbait titles. People have more positive feelings than previously but to be honest there is not more reason to accept compared to before.
