Well, you can get a free 30-60$ a month in a signature campaign, spending no more than you already do on the forums. Skills ? 1- Good writing can get you somewhere. Make a portfolio of some sort. 2- Being able to create logos and banners can help. Again, you will need a portfolio of sorts. 3- Developing ? If you know how to make altcoins, you can make a quick buck off that. 4- Affiliate programs. Some new websites have easy to break affiliate programs, and you can get a lot for a little effort. But they are hard to find and get dry quick. 5- Unique, creative ideas. There have been stupid ideas that have earned a lot of dough. *COUGH**COUGH*That's all I can think of. There are other methods, but will need you to get knee deep into the world of volatility. (and I don't have much experience with those)

In short, we take a list of each players address. Take the numbers from each address and seed the random number generator. Then we pick the winning id based off that seed. You can see the results and how we decide from one of the battle pages: http://satoshibattles.com/battle/15Wouldn't that mean that you would be able to predict the outcome in advance if you knew your opponent's Bitcoin address ?

Bet on sports. I hate betting on dice , because it has no action involved. Luckybit maybe makes the dice have some sort of suspense for half a minute. But, when you bet on a football match (Soccer to you Americans), you can feel the suspense for 90 minutes. Good luck betting EDIT : Good sites would be directbet.eu and nitrogensports.eu

I don't understand why anyone would scam for a dollar. Default Trust guys love to neg people on here who default on loans. If he doesn't pay it back, he'll come out of this with a strong negative trust rating. He could have sold his account for $20, as none of his already negative trust was from the default list.
You probably have a decent chance of getting your money back. Very few people are that stupid.
Just because of this I am not doing any thing in hurry and giving him time for pay back if he fail to do this then I have right to do this You guys are the stupid ones here. He has already scammed multiple times on this account, and since no one on DefaultTrust gave him a negative, he shows up as 0, and people lend to him. Even $1 is money, and he succeeded in scamming. Screenshots can be faked very easily, and you must understand that. You can simply give him a negative trust, and then remove it if he ever pays back. MoneyGod earned much much more posting here with his PrimeDice sig than what he lost by "getting scammed" So, for him, it was worth it.

2. Throwing away a key? Really think anybody would do that while on the casino rush?
Throwing away a key and giving it to you are basically the same thing. If a person would give it to you while on a "casino rush", they would do the same by locking themselves out. You have some trust, but not enough. I could trust you with amounts under 0.2 BTC, but when you are talking about whales, I don't think anyone in their right mind would "lock" 10+ BTC with you.

Let people put their money wherever they want. This is not a child forum, you know.
Or you should also police the altcoin forum because most coins will die pretty soon, the gambling section because people may lose, the food people eat because it might not be the healthiest option, etc
Anyone seriously invested in altcoins is a lost cause. Not really. 1- Recognizing legitimate coins before they become popular and pumping them. OR 2- Pumping and dumping coins as one of the early investors. A lot of money is to be made if you are among the original few to a decent altcoin, can help pump it and know when to dump it. It doesn't make sense to invest in most coins if you come in late as they are bound to die soon.

It's based on those who set a gender in their profiles, I don't think it's too accurate.
I fail to see the accuracy, also. I could just go and say I'm a female on it, even if my gender differs. And I'd do it for kicks, too. What if some of the females that used to forum did so? I'd guess way more people pretend to be female than those that pretend to be male. I can think of uses of pretending to female (googling pr0n and making people pay for it), but not that of pretending to be male.

Statistics is what I'm getting at here, the possibility of rolling another under 50 is extremely unlikely from this point onward. That is what gambler's fallacy is. THE NEXT ROLL DOES NOT DEPEND ON THE PREVIOUS ONES.

Why sell copies for 10$ if you already get 20$ daily, and risk the method getting saturated ?
|
|
|
Honestly, almost everyone here knows how the rule works except the newbies.
But the problem is explaining it. Most newbies misconceive that if you don't get 14 posts in a week you lose out.
|
|
|
Thanks for the explanations mate , so it takes 490 day to become Hero member ?
It only takes 480 days to become a Hero and 240 days to become a Senior Member. After 480 days, you would have been through 34 fortnight periods, giving you 476 activity (assuming you posted every week) You would need 4 more activity, which would come after 14 more days,in a block of 14. Assuming you had sufficient posts before that, you would hit 490 activity as you become a hero member.

If TF ran off with 4.1K BTC from inputs.io, he sold this account.
"I have 4,100 BTC, let's sell my account for an extra 2-10 BTC, as that is really worth all the further degradation my name would get" Doesn't sound like something anyone would do. I believe that he was hacked and hasn't sold his account.

16GB of ram is overkill, 8GB is really enough... I currently have 16 GB, but too much bloatware to delete. I often go on a deleting spree, ending up with lesser programs appearing on startup and a slightly faster time, but eventually it all goes down again. Facebook takes around 0.5 GB on a good day, and 1 GB if I skip a shutdown. Chrome with flash games open takes me 3-4 GB. I have various bloatware which I lose track of, and other useful software that pile up, like Dropbox, Electrum , TWO antiviruses ? (Norton eats my system memory for some reason, even though I uninstalled it, it has some weird button on my taskbar), Allshare, Steam, Hangouts, which take up a lot of space. It is okay, occasionally a bit slow when I load up a second or third game in a flash projector (taking upto 1.5 GB), but I started mainly noticing the problem when I tried playing the newest Thief. It starts off at 1.5 GB or something and slowly increases from there. As far as I can see, 16 GB should fix everything for long enough.

I got this same PM. I have updated my personal message text to reflect "TF was not hacked" as it was likely not hacked. Proof has not been shown that DB has run off with stolen bitcoin. From what I can see they ran out of money when they were refunding too much money to some people and not enough money to others. This is bad accounting and not a scam. If someone "invests" money in a site without doing their research then it is their own fault if/when they get scammed. There is a disclaimer after the bottom of the first post in each thread that says that ads are not endorsed by the forum Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction. Advertise here.
But I don't get why he would stick around with the same name if he stole everything. If he stole it, wouldn't it make more sense to create a new pseudonym and make TF disappear forever ?
